Came into this place by chance during a group vacay and it was the best meal and favorite memory on the trip Tara's kitchen's free advertising comes in its location right across the street from Duffer's. And boy are we glad Duffer's severely over quoted their wait time and caused us to go to the first restaurant we saw when we walked out. The tagines are as hearty and flavorful as they look in all the pictures. Appetizers were delicious too but were a bit small for the price. The atmosphere is very quiet and subdued and it is very much a family restaurant. Everyone we interacted with was so nice. The names of the tagines don't sound like much on the menu, [protein] with [ingredient], [ingredient], and [ingredient]. They are all so different though. Very distinct flavor bases. We wanted to try them all! The tagines, unlike the apps, were generously portioned and came with tons of pita and rice. Possibly the biggest compliment I can give them is how seriously we considered coming back here the next night. It's practically unheard of for us as we always like to try something new. But it was just such a lovely experience! We will definitely be back on our next visit to wildwood and you, too, should consider skipping duffer's and eating here instead. Great experience and completely unexpected find in Cape May/Wildwood for Moroccan/Indian food! It was super easy to find on Pacific Avenue near a lot of other shops and eats. Inside, it's clean, casual, and very inviting! Our service was awesome! We were checked in on plenty and they provided insight on the different menu items so we could make our choices. We went with the spicy fava bean salad, the orange and chickpea tagine, and their take on stir fry noodles with a maggi harissa sauce - everything came out as it was ready and perfectly prepared! We chatted with the server a little and learned that the chef is or Indian decent and spent time in Morocco where she got her influence for the menu items. The level of spice and flavors are well balanced. Staff is friendly and attentive. Ask for Harrisa sauce on the side for an extra kick and you know the sauce is not from a jar but home made. Our food was mind-blowingly delicious! We arrived at about 6:30 on a Saturday to find the restaurant mostly full but were still able to get a table right away. It was some time before they took our order and much, much longer before we finally got our food, but it was very worth the wait! We ordered two tangines-- the eggplant with prunes, honey and chickpeas, and the fish with parsley chermoula and mixed vegetables. My wife and I spent about 10 minutes debating which one was better and still couldn't decide. Both were 10/10. We also tried the fava bean salad for an appetizer. The rose sangrias were amazing too! We got into the shore a little late on a Sunday and blindly ordered from this restaurant for delivery - it was a fantastic way to start our vacay! pros: The restaurant is small, quaint, and well-decorated. The staff were friendly and food was delicious! cons: SLOW service! We entered at the same time as two other small groups, and there was one larger group already seated. Both other tables that entered with us received their food and were almost done eating before we even got our meals. We waited over an hour for our appetizer, and then another 25 mins for the entrees. During the wait, the host/server didn't come over to us once to say anything... no acknowledgment for the waiting at all. He was completely absent. The portions were very small considering the price tag. $25 for a vegetable tagine with maybe 1/4 cup of rice and one piece of naan. What an awesome find and nice switch from bar/Italian food in Wildwood! Family of 4 including two children that can be picky and a vegetarian adult found lots to love. So many unexpected flavor combinations (date and eggplant, favas and raisins) that were so tasty. Adults and adventurous child loved the Pita Bruschetta - pure comfort food, kind of like a sweeter, fresher puttanesca type sauce served warm on fresh pita. I'd bike myself over there just to grab that real quick if I were looking for a small bite. The fava bean salad was warmed in olive oil, delicious spices and made my husband a raisin convert (usually not a fan!). The eggplant with prunes honey and chickpeas - wow! I should have been full after the appetizers and found my second stomach to eat most of a very healthy portion of this Ottolenghi-esque (author of some of my favorite cookbooks) with nicely seasoned long grain rice and more fresh pita (a note that there was somewhat of a pause between getting the entree and then finally getting pita and rice). Service was otherwise extremely attentive and showed us lots of TLC. The owner noticed my daughter was chowing down on the rice and and sent us home with extra, as he knows what it's like to need food for kids on vacation. Chicken nuggets and fries even seemed a little better than average children's menu! Picky daughter asked for a second order of fries that adults were stealing too. Lamb with smen/saffron/potatoes was very memorable to my husband - declared he had never eaten something with these flavors before and would easily order again (no reference other than "kind of like a curry, but nothing I've ever tasted before"). Only dish that didn't find a fan was the chicken with olives and preserved lemons - my older daughter is usually a huge fan of all three flavors, but I think the lemon was a little too strong for my husband and her. We were glad we had a chance to get out and try something new - definitely a very special way to kick off our long weekend in Wildwood. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Absolutely DELICIOUS. We had a big group and shared all our dishes family style and every single dish was outstanding! So flavorful. We had the shepherds pie, which had big chunks of lamb cooked perfectly, vegetable stir fry noodles that had a sweet and spicy sauce we couldn't get enough of, couscous and vegetables, fish with lemon and olives that had my wife licking the plate (well, sopping up the sauce with pita). We had a few other things, but you get the idea. Service was fantastic, even with a big group. They made us feel so welcome right from start to finish. Plus, multiple people took care of us and made sure everything was good. I'll give one warning: it took a long time for the food to come out.
