It's a dive bar that shares the kitchen with the Mediterranean Breeze so the food is above average. Very good beer selection on tap including some local breweries. The indoor seating is tight. During the winter, you might be better off keeping this a hangout for just you and your 3 buddies at most. Its also a little hard to find. Great food and casual vibes! The gyro sandwich is massive and so good! I was in heaven when they brought me a lot of honey mustard. Yay, it was enough for all those fries! The BEST gyro sandwich I have had so far. They have a full bar and many craft beers. I'm on a health restriction diet so I couldn't try them all. The bartender was so friendly and fast and it was like watching Chuck Norris use nunchucks because her hands were slinging drinks left and right. I was there for their karaoke night, which is every second Saturday of the month from 8-11pm. It was so fun! I am definitely coming back again! Super fun place if you do it right!! We visited in November (I'm way behind on reviews!) We brought our two kids. The downstairs bar and outdoor space (tented on a deck adjacent to the building, picnic tables) seemed really fun. They were blasting indie rock circa 2012 and the vibe was somewhat like a frat party before anyone showed up. (It was like 11 AM-noon.) Since things were pretty ok with covid then, we thought it'd be better to sit inside. The bar didn't have great seating for a family, so we headed upstairs, which is confusingly a separate--but related--restaurant. The vibe was entirely different in a senior citizen kind of way. They were blazing cheesy music (think: when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie). We made the executive decision to rejoin the frat party. We were so glad we did! (All of us except our three year old. She just kept saying she was cold. There are heaters over head, but I think she wanted more heat, lol.) Good pizza, good beer selection. I really liked everything I got. It's a fun spot and I bet in the summer that deck is super fun. Stay on the ground level unless you're in the mood for some cheesy times. read more

Nice little pub/restaurant in Herndon. We found it after going to the Dulles Expo Center; they're about 15 min away. Not easy to spot; back from the street in an alleyway, you have to look to see it. Only about 10 tables inside, with some outside seating too. Good, lengthy tap list and a bunch of stuff in bottles. I had a nice local lager, but they had several stouts, sours and (of course) IPAs on tap. Good food, too; I had the Rachel (turkey reuben) & my companion had the penne pasta; both were quite good. (You never know with small local places!) The female (Sat afternoon) bartender was also very accommodating re: samples, and pleasant to boot. It's quite a hike for me, but would gladly go back if in the area! Good to know places like this still exist during/after Covid. Keep up the good work! read more

This spot is a hidden gem in Herndon! This modern little spot is about a year old now and has televisions showing a their beer lists, both on tap and in the fridge. You can look at the hoards of craft beers on the untapped app and also get your growler filled. While Mile 20 focuses mainly on local NOVA craft beers (solace, caboose, left hand, etc) they do carry seasonal (magners cider, yes!) and other crafty beers. With a large outdoor seating area, food to order, and easy parking (either in their lot or street) this is a must try! I might be a new regular soon! read more

We've gotten take out from Mile 20 just before Friday Night Live for the past several years. Up until recently the service has been impeccable and the food excellent. The four times we've gone this year has been a different story. The food has been mediocre, our orders have been messed up and often they don't put utensils in the to go bags even though you need utensils to eat what ypu ordered. Three of our 4 orders involved us having to go back because they gave us the wrong order or missed something. Tonight I ordered wings and asked for extra blue cheese sauce because there wasn't a way online. The person I asked (belive he was manager or owner) told me it was extra and turned to walk away ...as if I the customer was bothering him. After tonight's experience, along with my wife's stale tortillas in her salad, we're done with this place. Mile 20 has raised their prices significantly, as has every place but with poor service and the drop in food quality, it's not worth it given the number of other places in Herndon. read more

Great beer bar with fantastic happy hour menu and eats. Chicken Margarita Flat Bread is exceptional from what friends say and can't wait for it to arrive! So it was delicious. The crust was lightly toasted and flaky with hint of garlic. Cheese melted delicately over grilled chicken, tomato, and onion bites. Each mouthful had the perfect garnish of basil. Paired with the Hardywod Peach Triple, my experience was over the top! The Belgian Ale was spicy with subtle hint of pepper, honeysuckle, apricots and peaches. Amazing pairing of tastes. Early evening patio seating on a balmy afternoon and slowly puffing on a NUB cigar. Doesn't get better. read more

Fun little hidden spot in Herndon to grab a few beers. It's small, but cozy and the staff are not only super personable but they're very knowledgeable about the beers they have on tap. We came here for few drinks & a quick bite late in the evening. Food was not good at all. It tasted like frozen food that was just heated up. I would not come back here to eat. We came by here for drinks after dinner last night and loved sitting outside. They're staff is all so warm and welcoming. The outdoor space is great with picnic tables and high tops set up. The weather was great to go hang out but be able to socially distance. I didn't have any food so I can't comment on that. Drinks were good and prices decent. The set up was cool and they had music playing. Their last call currently was at 10:30p and they closed at 11p. It's a cool place to hang out. Wow! How have I not heard of this place before? Over 20 beers on tap covering most styles of beer and several more in bottles/cans. The selection of beers on tap was excellent all of which are highly rated. Indoors it's pretty small but huge open seating outside and perfect for a nice day. The service was good too as was the extensive menu. I tried the fish and chips which was excellent! Lastly, how do they keep their prices so reasonable!? For me that makes this place a 5 star no-brainer in tandem with all of the above I've mentioned. read more

Mile 20 is a charming little beer spot hidden kind of down a little walkway connected to The Mediterranean Breeze. Its definitely a local spot with lots of regulars and the same bartenders each time. The service is good and they have a ton of craft beers on tap to choose from. This is a great spot for happy hour. The food is not that great and is more of your standard bar food. The cheese on the nachos for example is the kind you'd get at a movie theatre. You don't go to this kind of place for the food but rather order food as an afterthought. You go here for the good atmosphere and good brews. read more

One of the worst bar pie pizzas I've ever had and they have the audacity to call it a NY style pizza. Awesome little craft beer joint built next to the Mediterranean Breeze on Station St. in downtown Herndon. 24 craft beers on tap with several local options ( VA, MD, PA ) and probably at least 30 different styles in the can and bottle. Growler fills available too. Proves to be a very relaxing place to have a beer, inside OR outside -- they have a BEAUTIFUL patio! Good food. Better service. I ordered pasta with meatballs and bbq wings at the bar area upstairs. The food smells horrible, the pasta sauce was spoiled (it tasted sour), and the person sitting at my table actually gagged at the smell. We couldn't eat the pasta and meatballs, i did try bbq wings and I think the wings themselves were good but the bbq sauce covering them was absolutely disgusting. It was definitely money down the drain. As an added bonus, I had horrible stomach ache in a couple of hours. Now the good stuff: the seating outside was nice, the lady working at the bar was super friendly, the beer was good. I would actually not deter anybody from coming here, but for the love of god, skip the food from this place altogether. The rest is good. read more

This is a really cute small beer bar. They have plenty of different types of beers with the taps changing very frequently. The bartender Cassie is very friendly and remembers everyone that comes in. Despite the rotating tabs she knows all of the beer and makes great recommendations. They also serve food from Mediterranean Breeze next door which is great. And they have a dog friendly patio. No complaints, this is an awesome bar for craft beer fans. read more

This place can't be beat. The staff (Cassie, George, Megan) is so awesome, and the beer selection is fantastic. 24 beers on tap, and the food from Mediterranean Breeze is available. Only 1 TV, but they're usually willing to tune it to what you want to watch, especially if it's a Nats game or a soccer match. The outdoor space is also great if the weather is nice.
