Target reminds me of my former home Minneapolis since Target has its headquarters there. Though I rejoice about moving to Austin, I do enjoy reminders of Minneapolis. A good reliable general purpose store. Of all Target locations in Austin I have visited, I consider this the nicest. How do they stock so much stuff from a full pantry section to clothes to office supplies to everything else? Clif Bars! Fries in the dining area! Sometimes you can find great clearance deals. Target claims to have a 14 day Price Match policy so that if you buy an item there and find it for less within that 14 days, they will refund the difference. Well, this store (Lakeline Mall) doesn't know about the policy and won't honor it even after it is pointed out to them in the first paragraph on their wall. Here's the facts. I bought a pre-paid cell phone on 1/3/18 and then 2 days later found it for $20 cheaper at Walmart. I went back on 1/11 to this Target to try to get them to honor their price match and they refused. Sad! Not only was the customer service person rude, she was very adamant (read rude) about that not being their policy. I then pointed it out to her on their wall and she radioed a manager who said it could be done. She then tried to get it done but couldn't figure out how to accomplish the task on the cash register so she rudely gave my receipt back and told me they couldn't do the price match. End result was that I had to return the phone. I'm sure that processing the return will cost them more than $20 and on top of that, it is likely that I will avoid buying items like this from them in the future. And I doubt that I'd ever trust their 'price match' or return policies. They obviously do not believe in honoring their own policies. So, I drove down to the Walmart that's literally right down the street and saved the $20. At least Target processed the return with no questions. read more

Best Target experience I have ever had and this Target is under a remodel. Justin provided me with unparalleled customer service today. My cartwheel app wasn't working and he helped. My Target card was having issues and he helped me. He was so pleasant and kind that I was blown away that he wasn't the store manager. Aimee in cosmetics was also super friendly and helpful. I was discouraged when I walked in and saw the remodel was happening but their customer service far exceeded any Target experience I've ever had and that is saying a lot because Target is one of my favorite places to shop. read more

This target is the best one in North Austin. I have only nice things to say about the customer service and honestly I've never had any bad experience at any target I've been to which is why target is my preferred home good store more so than they other one we all know. 2nd time having a terrible experience in the customer service/returns dept - the people are rude, act annoyed that they have to help you and answer questions, and uninformed. The woman helping me today did not do my return as I had asked and previously discussed. She was already huffy when I approached the counter, then became condescending when I asked about it. This target is just like any other Super Target with one exception: You have to pay for your own bags, good ol 10 cents per bag. Now I appreciate the whole recycling thing, but I did not know that. So when the cashier asked me if I wanted to purchase some bags I looked at him as he was crazy. "Ummm no... why when I can use those?" Ha! So apparently if you live in Austin, you have to bring your own bags to grocery stores or you will get charge. But I don't get it; I went to Trader Joes and didn't pay anything. Maybe it's a target thing. Maybe TJ's doesn't roll like that... Either or I thought it was different. Even though I appreciate recycling, I didn't want to pay for the bags but oh well. The cashier was nice about it and didn't charge me. I'm new to this so next time, I will be bringing my own bags. read more

Large store, poor customer service Good selection of goods, has trouble stocking and restocking items plus poor customer Service. I was particularly perturbed today when I had received a rain check in October for a Kaercher Power washer and was told by the store employee that it would not expire and I would be notified when the item came in. I checked each time to see if the power washer was in stock and it was not. Then I was out of town for a while and did not have a chance to follow up. However when I came in today and saw the Power washer I presented the rain check and was told that the rain check had expired. That was a true statement when I checked the fine print. However, I asked the manager, Scott whether he would be able to help me out after I explained the situation. He simply said he was sorry and could do nothing for me. This is not the customer service I expect from Target. I frequent Target for its superior customer service--but with newly acquired Walmart Service I might as well shop there. I find myself here more and more lately. It's just much more fun to run to the store to pick up milk if you're going to Super Target. The danger is that you have to discipline yourself. Horrible customer service. Tried to exchange a pair of jeans with a broken zipper that was only worn once without a receipt. They wanted to charge me $8 more for a new pair. I tried to explain to the lady that it's just basic good customer service for it to be even. She did not understand that concept. I asked for the supervisor and she said the lady advising her was the manager. Wrong. That lady wasn't a manager and now I'm fully dealing with an employee who doesn't understand the basics of CS as she is literally stand in the CS department and also doesn't know who the manager is. I found a manager by accident and she shared the same idea with me about an even exchange. So back in the long line waiting to get back up to the CS desk. In the middle of a "rush" of customers, the nonmanager announced to the incompetent CS lady that she is to go on break immediately. Wait. What? There is a line of customers. Oh geez. Finally getting my turn, for the third time now? The nonmanager is stuck on how to make it even. I tried to explain that she just needs to price adjust the items to match. I truly believe she was trying to hike the price of the return instead of lowering the purchase. She called the manager I spoke to and proceeded to do the transaction with full attitude. read more

This store isn't as cool as the one at 1890 Ranch. It's older, the customer service is ok. I stopped in this morning because it was closer to where I was running errands and ended up leaving for the 1890 location because they were "out" of the items I needed. At least 1890 had it and plenty of it. It just doesn't have the same atmosphere or welcoming feeling. read more

They need to pay better attention to the food they put out. The other day I picked up strawberries and a bunch that were put out had mold. I bought bacon and realized when I got home that it had expired dec 18, 2019. I bought the bacon on February 22, 2020. Not the first time I've brought food back for being expired by more than days. read more

I feel like this target should have a bigger baby selection. I figured it would be a bit nicer since it was in the lakeline area. The arboretum on seems to have more options for baby products. However, the staff is always great at this location and that's a plus. read more

Love this Target! Super clean store, well organized and stocked, super friendly employees. They've got it all!! With 2 teenagers I can get what they want plus what I need without having to drive all over town. This Target is routinely out of stock. Don't waste your time here, you won't find what you want. If certain clothes have a popular size and is sold out, their solution is to not restock it, but let you buy other sizes that don't fit, or leave. It is literally the stupidest thing ever, having customers expecting to spend money on Target repeatedly found out they are wasting their time there and they should go elsewhere. The new remodel is going to take some getting used to. Target seems to be going for the modern gray/white theme for now. My only big complaint post remodel for this location is the volume at which the annoying music is played all the time thru out the whole entire store. The music was not nearly as loud/noticeable before the remodel as it is now. I find it difficult to focus and concentrate when trying to make a selection that requires the slightest thought. This can easily ruin someone's shopping experience altogether. Target needs to realize that NOT all customers need/want a high energy shopping experience with music that is just a bit too loud. Furthermore, I cannot imagine working there being forced to hear that annoyance all day long. Even if different tracks cycle different music, eventually it is going to loop back to the same music again and again. read more

My new insurance card finally arrived. The pharmacist took my new information and filed the prescriptions which were covered but which I had to buy before I had my new account and group numbers. They could easily have let me file that myself. Instead, they went out of the way to help. read more

Don't like this target in particular. Every time I go I feel uncomfortable. To start off the checkout lines are extremely long. They always have either 3 or 4 (if lucky) lanes open. There is so many lanes but only have a few open. The cashiers are usually rude. Every time I go inside the fitting room the people at the front are either having their own conversation and not caring you're there. They just sit there and chit chat In front of you ignoring you until you say something. And this happens EVERYTIME!! If you want a good target try making an extra drive to the one in cedar park. Love the pharmacy staff! We are always greeted and promptly taken care of. We won't ever go anyplace else.

I don't go to Target very often because I feel I can never find what I'm looking for and If I go for something specific that is on sale it never rings up as being on sale. Today I went in for certain items and of the 12 items I bought 10 rang up the wrong price. This is ridiculous. I always make sure to check my receipt before leaving for this very reason. The only highlight of this store is Justin. Excellent customer service and just an all around nice guy. read more

I just purchased my new glasses at the Target optical store inside the main store. I was blown away by the selection of current frames and the excellent service I received from the knowledgeable staff. When I went to pick up my glasses the store was 15 minutes from opening. The manager saw me waiting and opened the store early so I wouldn't have to wait. That is service you don't find often in retail. I will not purchase my optical products anywhere else from now on. read more

This Target USED to be great. But not anymore. They recently re-vamped the interior and the results are spectacularly underwhelming. Gone is the fabulous Starbucks - replaced instead by a 1/4 sized version of its former self. The large cafe has similarly disappeared; replaced instead by a single fountain drink dispenser. The entire store has been spread out - but it's really just an excuse to offer fewer options in EVERY category - and at insidiously higher prices. The theme overall is just LESS of EVERYTHING. Frustratingly, this store is consistently out of stock of the items you used to be able to count on - plain bread, or regular toothpaste, or plain tissue paper, or electronics, or toys. If you need a good Target, you should save yourself the trouble: this former Super Target has nothing "super" left about it at all. Drive instead a few extra miles farther north on FM 620 or on Toll 183-A for a Super Target that hasn't utterly ruined a good thing. You'll be so grateful that you didn't waste your time in this ridiculously useless store. What a shame for the place that used to be my favorite Target of all time. read more

The pharmacy at this Target is exceptional. My prescriptions are always ready quickly and correctly. Even when I don't call ahead, it's rare that I don't have my prescription in less than 30 minutes. I feel that the pharmacists do a great job checking for interactions or allergy issues, even when I'm asking them about an over the counter medicine reacting with one of my prescriptions. Now that the store is carrying so many gluten free and healthy food options, I can drop off my prescription, grab a coffee at the Starbucks and get my week's groceries while I wait for my prescription. read more

I like this location because the Starbucks employees are awesome!! And the little pizza hut pizzas are so yummy! Also the cashiers here are always nice and making small talk. I also think they have a better selection of clothing here for some reason they get super cute items. I love the clearance sections.. my kids even know to look for the red stickers lol. We really enjoy coming in and shopping and then grabbing lunch and what's even better is it's next to a Ulta,and Homegoods..oh and Clothes Mentor a super cute resale shop right next door. You could make a day trip out of this little shopping center. read more
