This is one of the smaller Targets due to its location. It has 2 levels, and do have most of the essential item selection in stock. With comparable pricing compared to other targets, 2 Fitting rooms are relatively clean, one smaller than the other on the top level. Cashiers were pretty efficient, line moved quickly. staff were friendly. Located in the same shopping center with other businesses, which is convenient for grabbing other things along the way. No parking is directly for this target , but do have paid parkings nearby with reasonable walking distance. read more

I stopped in to make a quick return....a clerk was behind the desk but his back was turned toward me. I asked if I could return something and he looked at me and annoyedly said what is the problem? ! I repeated myself and he took a deep breath and said ok. For the most part Harrison attempted to be pleasant but his initial energy was not very friendly. He processed my return and handed me a gift card with my receipt. I asked why the gift card, to which he said again very annoyed, that part of the purchase was paid with a gift card. This is a small Target so easy to get in and out. If you are looking for something specific check online first to make sure it's in stock. You can order online and wait for confirmation so you know it will still be there when you get there. You don't want to go all the way there only to find out the thing you want is sold out or not selling in the first place at that location. Most of the store is in the basement. 2nd, or ground level is women's clothes, disproportionately underwear and socks, starbucks, checkouts, and some craft supplies. Everything else is downstairs. Aisles are narrow and selection is limited, but it's convenient, adjacent to Trader Joe's. The free Bethesda circulator stops there. read more

I went shopping at Target and parked in this parking lot which had been previously free. There is now a fraudulent scamming parking company called Vanguard parking solutions which took over the parking lot. They did not put visible signs or parking meters, or parking attendants to notify customers that this is now a paying parking lot. I parked at 1:27 and left at 5 pm. When I left, there was no ticket notice on my car. To my surprise, today I receive a notice from them in the mail charging $58.30. It said "this notice is privately issued. It is not issued by a governmental authority, and is not subject to criminal penalties. Vanguard parking solutions is not a debt collections agency, however, failure to make payment may result in referral to collections, arbitration, or further legal action". I looked up this Business on Better Business Bureau and they have an F rating, FFFFF!!! They have scammed more than 73 people recently and 203 filed a complaint and posted about it. It says if I do not pay by 10/21/2025, then the amount will jump to $125!!! They should be the ones subjected to criminal penalties because they do not have visible clear signs like other parking lots, with either meters or visible posts where we have to pay for the parking. It says on my notice that if I pay the notice then I agree to the parking contract that was displayed at the facility and in that contract, I waive my right to bring a class action and to have a jury trial and I agree to arbitrate any dispute. This was not visible in the parking spot and in the facility, they are lying and complete scammers. Please investigate this business and shut them down. They are hurting Target business and customers. They cannot charge unless they clearly put signs. They said over chatbot (since they have no humans picking up the phone) 2 hours were free. So how can they charge me $58.30 for 1.5 hours? And they said it will jump to $125. If they had a meter, I would have gladly paid using my park mobile app. I've never had an issue with any other parking garage. read more

Can be very messy. Lots of inaccurate inventory and shelf alignments. The lower level employees are overworked and the managers like to walk around and talk or be in the backrooms taking breaks especially at night. I know someone who got setup and fired because he was in competition with another employee for a position. read more

It looks so tiny from the storefront, like a little glass house. I cant for the life of me recall what was here previously. It is smaller than other Targets, but then there's a lower level! It even has a stripped down grocery section. The cosmetics are on the ground floor and that section is extensive. Workers were everywhere asking if you needed help in a very welcoming and friendly manner. There's a decent-sized garage parking in back. I believe it is a renovated version of the parking area predominately used by Trader Joe's shoppers. You get two free hours; not sure if you get a ticket because we parked at one of the meters right out front (not free). This Target is about half the distance as my preferred Target in Silver Spring. I just may have to switch my loyalty because well, Trader Joe's is my weakness, and I can shop at two of my favorite places in one fell swoop. read more

Listen up, this isn't your every day Target. You won't find soccer moms and families browsing up and down the aisles. Heck, you won't even think it's a Target when you drive by it. This location is inside of what I can only describe as shopping center from the 60's. It's half as big as traditional Targets and it's got a garage detached from it that reminds me of a corn maze. Now, why is this a five star review? Simply because it's everything I need it to be and more. Like most Targets, you can use their app to buy groceries and items and have it waiting for you when you arrive. I decided on a whim that it was time for me to upgrade my entertainment system so I whipped out my phone and placed an order for a new Apple TV. Roughly 20 minutes after hitting the Buy button I got an email that my order was ready for pickup. Having worked at Best Buy, this is incredibly fast as we were given 48 hours to respond to online orders. Ten minutes later I'm pulling into this faux Stranger Things shopping center and I enter the garage and open the app. There's a button that says "I'm on my way" so I click that and I get detailed instructions on what floor to be on and where to park. Now, the garage is a little tricky because for the most part it's one way. If you make a mistake it's a no-soup-for-you moment and you have to start all over and exit and come back around. Once I got the hang of it I found myself on P2 in the "Drive Up" parking spots. The app has a second button that says "I'm here". When I clicked that it asked me for the make and model of my car. Before I put my phone back in the cupholder a Target employee who resembled the speed of Usain Bolt was at my window. I kid you not, I couldn't have gotten faster results if I texted her personal phone. She comes up to window and asks me to hold my phone up so she can read the order number through the glass. Once she does she places the item in my trunk and gives me a thumbs up. Ladies and gentlemen, this is as close to being in a Nascar pit stop that most of us will ever get. It was an experience for the books and makes me think how COVID has really changed the way we conduct business. read more

The building is deceiving, as the store is huge inside. The departments are compacted, yet the majority of the normal inventory from the bigger stores are present. The newness provides a clean & well organized layout. The entry level/first floor is off of Stanford Avenue. Checkout (back of the store by the parking garage), Womenswear, Shoes, Fitting Rooms & a Starbucks is located on this level. On the lower level you'll find everything else including the Pharmacy, Restrooms, Market - Groceries, Electronics, Textiles & more. You can see the red bullseyes logo from Wisconsin Avenue & is located under the Trader Joe's. This is a smaller size 2 story Target store. There is a garage with free parking. At guest services you can pick up your orders & make purchases. They have curbside pickup and delivery and self checkout stations. They sell all the home goods, gift cards, grocery and snack & drink items you expect to find at all Targets as well as designer items, toys, games, clothing, health and beauty, mobile, seasonal and electronic items with some limitations due to the store's size. The employees are friendly & helpful. The store opens at 7 am. Tuesday mornings from 7 am to 8 am are seniors shopping hours. Mask wearing is required in the store. And yes I've personally observed an employee wiping down escalators and other spots of the store to keep them clean for the customers. I like shopping at Target. It's very convenient and reliable with everything you need at one store. The prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. So I had no idea a Target had opened up in Bestheda. I was out walking and stumbled upon it. Since this is a city store versus a big box store, this location has less variety and some of items are more expensive than other locations. They also have less clearence items but better produce. Overall I thought it was a good store in a great location. However when I went to check out, it was a nightmare. It took almost 30 minutes. The store is greatly understaffed and undertrained. There is only a handful of people to check out, unlock the dressing rooms, and monitor self check out. Most people in the store do not know how to do these tasks. Thus it took forever. Plus the sale items didnt ringing up and I got charged twice. Hopefully they will hire more experience staff. read more

Came in looking for an item that's on the online but wanted it on hand right away. Couldn't find it so I asked for help. First staff person said item is not carried but suggested to try an aisle in case they have it. It wasn't on the aisle suggested and I was ready to leave but ran into another staff who checked the digital inventories. It shows several on stocks but not on the aisle listed. This has got to be the smallest Target that I have seen, but I am excited that there is now a Target location in Bethesda. In a way, it's quite nice to have a smaller Target, so I'm not so worn out after shopping here. (I am ever the optimist). But due to the size of this particular location, I felt the selection of items (especially the clothing, electronics, and home decorations) were quite limited. It is a great wonder as to why they decided to open up a Target in this particular shopping center. There really isn't space for ample parking; I can only imagine how crowded the parking lot will be on weekends, as it was already super busy due to Trader Joe's (they share the garage, along with other businesses). At the time of writing, the store is not fully stocked. For instance, the pillow section is completely empty, as well as the dairy (milk) refridgerator. I'm sure (or hope) this is temporary and they will restock as soon as they can. However, because this store is brand new, it is clean and well-lit. The worst target I have ever been to. Nothing was properly merchandised. In kitchenware none of the UPCs match the items. There were fly swatters and spatulas on the same hook just cause they were both black. We were in there a little late and were trying to pick out a few things because we had just moved into town and the employees were literally STALKING US. Not even asking if they could help find things-probably cause they had no idea where anything was anyway! I worked for target before and I understand wanting to go home but man there is a much friendlier and HELPFUL way to do it. Also when I ask what's the correct price on an item because the price tags are expired or don't match the item it is incredibly dissatisfying to get the answer 'idk'...yeah dude it's your job to help the customer. This Target has very minimal clothes and housewares selection. It does have a somewhat substantial grocery section which seems very redundant and unnecessary to me considered there is a Trader Joes 2 floors up, two Giant food stores, two Safeway stores and a Harris Teeter within a 1 mile radius. My other complaint about this store is the total disregard by its employees to help the customers. My husband and I were having trouble at a self-checkout register. One teller walked away from us and left (presumably to go on break) and the other was on a personal phone call for almost 10 minutes. When he saw how irate my husband had become, he smiled at him and told him that he needed to learn to have patience. He actually asked my husband during that conversation if he was getting mad, then continued his conversation on the red phone and in either French or Patois. Me and my family went in after ordering online at target.com and do some more shopping at that store. Security guy was following us throughout the store even when we went to a different floor. By far the worst Target I have been to. I am not bothered by its small size, rather by the fact that on multiple occasions I have seen expired food on the shelves, and by more than just a couple days- as much as a month. If you go, make sure you check the date on whatever food you purchase. It is not very clean, and the employees are not the kindest. With that being said, the CVS Pharmacy is what redeems this location. Easily the kindest pharmacists, and it's rare I wait even 5 minutes. After driving 1.5 hours to get here through horrific traffic (8pm) for an in-store pickup, the size they packed was incorrect. I caught the mistake and luckily the right size was on the floor. I was appalled at the condition of the building - like a run down dollar store. The basement level was like a dungeon. This place is gross and soils the Target image. So I am rating this Target based on its location and its size. For that I give it 4 stars. So from the outside looking in, one would think that it is going to be really small. But once you go inside, you will see that there is actually two levels and underground parking. Now it is not as big as your stand alone Target and does not have as many items as the other Targets, but it has enough. Customer service seems great. There is always an employee around if you need help finding something, which is always a plus and you also have the option of self check out or having an employee ring you up if that is your fancy, lol. It also has a Starbucks inside so you can get your coffee/tea fix while you shop. This Target is a nice addition to the neighborhood because before it got here, if you wanted to go to Target, I think the closest one was in Rockville. Oh yeah and not to mention, Trader Joes's is upstairs, so if you are a fan of Target and Trader Joe's, you have the luxury of being able to hit up both spots in one visit. read more

Was walking around Bethesda one day and was pleasantly surprised that not only did they have Target in this shopping center, but also Starbucks and CVS within Target as well! Great store if you are staying in the area and need some grocery items quickly. The store is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator to the downstairs where all the grocery items are located. A number of people staying at my hotel didn't even know that they had a downstairs because you can only see clothing in the front window. Just visited this place. On the plus side it's a large shopping chain in Bethesda - where there aren't many (if any) large shopping chains. Also on the plus side they do have a good, albeit reduced selection of a Target inventory. Women's clothes and stationery get the whole first floor for some reason (which is 2nd on the elevator) but down on the first - which is the third or first? - they have a decent spread of homeware, food, drugstore, men's clothes, electronics. While the checkout was 'self only' (think that's because of the Covid 19 thing) the staff otherwise seemed pleasant enough. Even when the customer service/manager - a lovely tween - decided that I needed to endure a prostate exam to buy some Nicorettes (which event shut me down cold at the self serve register until Mgr Tween completed some other transaction... rendering the whole point of self-serve moot). I showed her my driver's license, told her not to scan it or enter it, she promptly started punching in my birthday on the register screen. I jumped in and changed a number before being subsumed into ninja list hell. Either that girl is mighty slow or she committed my whole driver's license to memory, she stared at it so long. read more
