Tried to buy some video games in their Tech Department today, couldn't get anyone to unlock them and hand them to us. So we just left after talking to two employees and waiting for 10 minutes. I recently moved to the area and was excited to see a Target so close to where I live, even though it's still about a 20-minute drive. I regularly use Drive Up because it's usually one of the best services Target offers. Unfortunately, the last two times I've used Drive Up at this location, I was given someone else's order. When I tried calling customer service, no one answered or the call was disconnected, so I had to go inside to fix the issue, which defeats the whole point of Drive Up. While sorting it out with an associate, I was told that several items from my original order were now out of stock. These were vegan meat items that couldn't be substituted, so I left without things I specifically planned my meals for the week around. I've lived and traveled in many states and have shopped at Targets all over, including much larger stores, and I've never had repeated Drive Up issues like this. The most frustrating part was that I wasn't the only one at customer service complaining, multiple customers were there for the same reason: wrong Drive Up orders. It's disappointing to see such a reliable service fall short here. read more

Seriously. Asking for ID to buy a candle lighter - overpriced of course - is unreal especially when you look at the person and you can see they are over 35. I mean this is not law. This is so very Target. I'm going to make your ass wait in line, not open a human powered checkout. Then in big brother fashion, I am going to flag an attendant when you try to buy a candle lighter! Now. If I am underage and going to do something illegal with a lighter, why would I go to a checkout, when anyone can just walk out the door with it and have no problem, but if you want to actually BUY it, well...I'm sorry I will need to see ID sir. This is one big store and we shopped for awhile because we kept finding deals on closeout items from the summer clothing collection. Dec. 28, early eve, I was excited to upgrade my virtual experience with the pricey upgrade of a Meta 3. I chose Target, because it was closest. I just got paid my Christmas wages, I had earned my new toy. I stroll to the back to look for the display case and confirmed they had it.... Then I waited for assistance. There seemed to be a few people in the back, talking...some wearing street clothes without a name tag, one with, a young woman. I waited in front of that display case...for quite awhile. Trying to figure, why A) no one seemed to acknowledge my presence.... B) why am I hearing gossiping employees talking personal stuff down the aisle, while I am waiting to spend $500 C) Who am I to ask for help? After 15 minutes, I left. Unreal, that I was pacing the electronics aisles, or waiting by a closed cased item, or that I cannot identify an employee or that anyone cared enough to notice. Why bother returning? I don't think I've ever written a review for a big retail store before but I had such an amazing experience that I really felt the need to. I went to customer service dept yesterday to do a cat and Jack return and the lady that assisted me really made the whole experience so nice. I believe her name was Esther, she was so patient and never showed anything else other than kindness. I was at self-checkout and a short white employee wearing a black sweater stole money from me, and refused to give it back. My total was $15.71, so I inserted by loose change first, then I inserted two $5 bills. At this point it was just the employee and I at self checkout, so he was watching me of course because that's his job. After that I noticed I still owed $8.60, I was confused because I knew I had inserted two $5 bills, so I just assumed the machine ate one of the $5 bills, and just took one. I didn't ask the employee for help because I assumed he was not gonna be able to help me get my $5 back. So I put my purchased items in my pink reusable bag, took my receipt and started to make way out. He then says, "Excuse me there's a $5 bill inside" I walked back to him and responded, "You know what, I did put two $5 bills in there but I didn't know why the machine didn't take it" The employee and I are both looking at my receipt and he tells me, "Hmm, it doesn't show up on your receipt" I respond, "I know." He then says "Are you sure it's yours?" I thought to myself, Oh he's calling me a liar and a thief, I'm not gonna beg him for $5 dollars. So I start walking away in disbelief and say to him, "you know what keep it" He responds, "Well if you're sure it's yours why not keep it?" At this point NOW he's taunting me. I walked out, I didn't get the employees name because I felt humiliated, disrespected, and I was in shock that this was happening to me. Came in to buy a 40 dollar pack of baseball cards. Waited 15 minutes to have the case unlocked only for the lady to then HAVE to hand walk the said 40 dollar box to the front at customer service and then place me at the back of a ten person line of returns to be able to purchase. I used to shop at this location many times during my life. Just since December this store has gone down hill with customer service. Mainly, the drive up workers are really slow. They usually didn't bring my order to my car fast enough. I was usually in the drive up more than 10 minutes just for my stuff to be brought out. I was extremely disappointed the last two times I went because the drive up workers took a really long time to bring my order out to my car at drive up. Then the worker brought out my order with no bag. It was also the wrong hand soap. The worker explained that they couldn't find my order so they had to grab it from the floor aisles. Also in December there was a worse issue where I was parked at the drive up for more than 30 minutes and no one brought out my order so I had to cancel the order and get it delivered to my house because I didn't wanna go back to target. Sucks how this target service is terrible and I don't feel like going to this location anymore even though I live closer to this location. I would rather order from a different location. read more

Only 1 non-self checkout lane open in the middle of the day and cashiers refuse to help bag groceries in reusable bags...just standing there twiddling their thumbs as the line backs up while I bag a cart full of groceries. I really enjoy this target. It's clean, the bathrooms are clean as well, and the shopping carts are always ready to be used. Their stock selection is great and 9/10 times they have most of not all of the items I'm looking for. If I have to do a return as long as I have my electronic receipt it has never been an issue and drive up pick up normally doesn't take a long time. read more

While heading to the Camarillo Outlets with our grandson, we stopped in to pick up a couple items quickly at Target. I don't recall being in this location before. I was impressed with the size, displays, variety of merchandise, and layout. We headed to the school supplies / stationary aisles, which took us into proximity with the grocery section. Instead of looking like an afterthought, in this store it looked like they planned for that department by setting aside an appropriate space, then designing useful displays to highlight the merchandise. The women's clothing section sprawls across the bulk of the space, providing boutique-like dividers and other features to draw attention. I'm inclined to go back when I have more time to explore their Spring accessories. I saw enough interesting items to draw me back. Checkout was quick and easy. Disorganized and messy. There were carts left all over the store, big clothing sections had been emptied and not refilled, and there was trash on the ground in the store. The self-check lanes were closed, so everyone was filed into 2 registers; the wait wasn't too bad, but it slowed things down. Prices have gone up, they do still have decent discounts marked on the aisles, but this location is not looking good. read more

I haven't stepped foot past the order pick up in years. I know better than to traipse anywhere where I have to interact and socialize. I absolutely love their pickup option whether in store or drive up. I've only encountered the most helpful and pleasant associates. I was one of the first people this standing outside waiting for the doors to open this morning. I could not believe what a horrible mess this store was in, especially the first thing in the morning. The mess actually not only forced me to leave, but caused me anxiety. Practically every isle I went down was chaos. Also last week I walked by a table with food samples. I saw famlies taking the samples, but what they didn't notice was nats flying over the unattended food samples. It was a ripped open bag of sticks just laying there open, with this bowl of salsa. The nats were diving into the salsa and it was gross to see unknowing customers and families dip a chip and eat it. ( I took a video and will try and attach it). Another bad experience I had was employees that have no clue about their own store. I asked Not one... But two..workers where to go for pictures to get developed. They both seperetly pointed to the front of the store. I walked all the way back up to the front only to be told they do not have photo processing center in that store. They might want to inform their employees of that lol. read more

I came here to buy some gifts, and wanted to price match some items to the target website, let me be clear again to the "target website". She made a big issue about price matching two dolls , So my husband went to another register to purchase the doll separately which was price matched by another employee with no issue. when she saw we were doing that she completely lost it, and even called over supervisor which thankfully told her she was incorrect and we were right. Target you are getting to Walmart status. All of the hand sanitizer and wipes are out up front, no target gift cards can be found in the store, lines a mile long at checkout at 10:00am and of course there is no store manager on site until later. Do better you make a ton of money. read more

Me and my fiancé go to target every day and we don't buy anything we just go and walk and see what they have and just have a great time so it's too expensive and sometimes we get bored at home so we like to go to target and just walk around we go there and do like 3 to 8 laps sometimes we're there until they close jk but the target in Camarillo has really great service. This is now my go to shopping center now that I live in the area. I've always preferred this one from the ones in other cities because this one is cleaner and more organized. The one in Oxnard is always a mess. Dropped by yesterday as I was in need of a basketball. I went straight to the Sporting Goods section to look for said ball. Found what I needed and was about to head to the cashier when I noticed the ball needed air. As I wanted to bypass having to go the a gas station to fill up the ball, I went looking for an associate to see if they could help me. Kara was kind enough to not only walk me to the air pump, but she proceeded to pump the ball herself. Shopping here is always a breeze and the staff are always nice. read more

She told me it was right back where I just come from. They're playing this horrid lecture about how to raise anti-racist kids in the electronics section! Oh man, this Target had everything I needed and the customer service was incredibly nice, especially the two guys Jose and Chris. They were very polite and helped me with everything I needed, I had to tip them $15 each. The problems however, are the shoppers themselves. While shopping, most of them are very rude and do not listen, but argue about the safety protocols. It's like these clowns are asking to get COVID! However, this Target is very nice to go to. To all the managers, why is it acceptable to have ALL your clothes sections hanging over the racks, never folded and laying on the floor and underneath every other rack. This used to be our favorite of all the Targets in the area. Ever since it was remodeled, though, things throughout the store are hard to find. Instead of the easy and logical departments that were set out in rows, the store has been broken up into a series of weird little 'boutiques'. The clothing departments in particular are now fragmented and confusing. It has made shopping here not just difficult, but actually unpleasant. Our family has now switched to the Westlake Village location, which so far has not messed with Target's original and customer-friendly layout. read more

I had a return with out a receipt and CS, could not find it on my card so they gave my a gift card. I tried to use at another location to find it had nothing on the card. I called the Camarillo store to get it corrected but the LOD Randy gave me false information and instead of trying to make it right she made it worse. I wanted the manager to call me and she never didn't. The customer service was unexceptionable . Please check the amount on your gift cards before you leave the store . read more
