Over the last year, they really upped their game in the bakery department, and especially great for hosting or having extra treats on hand. One heads-up about the parking lot: if you're getting gas, don't try to cross at the main stop sign. There's a much easier way to loop left and come around the back, which saves a lot of time and frustration. Once you know it, it's a game changer. I also love getting gas here because the savings really add up. Pro tip: use the Costco app. It makes things quicker and helps you keep track of deals. They also regularly have great gift card deals like (Uber, Top Golf, local restaurants), usually $15-25 off, which is an easy win. Plus their pharmacy is always way cheaper than I've found elsewhere. This location is blended with a Home Goods, so you can find it all. In addition to an extensive selection of clothes for everyone (all styles, sizes, age groups, etc.) at all price points, you'll find an amazing selection of beauty care items to keep you feeling great from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. This includes hair styling tools of all sorts, sheet masks, makeup, and great bath products. There are also tons of things for the home, from rugs to furniture to sheets and towels to home storage and organization. (Note to self: if I ever need to stage a home, I should go here.) I especially love the kitchen section--in addition to the great cookware and bakeware, they have great gourmet items, from pasta to chutney to cookies and tea. You can one hundred percent put together an amazing gift basket for your favorite foodie friend with very little effort. Grocery Outlet is a large chain in California that is similar to Mike's -- they're a discount opportunistic grocery that sells items close to expiration/are being discontinued. When we moved back to Minnesota, we were very sad to not have Grocery Outlet anymore. But then, we found Mike's. Mike's is amazing. I'd argue it's even better than Grocery Outlet, and miles above any average grocery store in the cities. The primary draw to Mike's is the pricing -- things are very cheap compared to other grocers. This is possible because they don't have a broad selection and stock items that are close to expiration or being discontinued. It's not uncommon to find things that didn't sell at other stores here. The downside is that they rarely have consistent stock. However, if you have an open mind, you won't be disappointed. There are snacks, frozen items, household goods and even clothes that are very cheap. Lastly, the staff are all very kind and do their best to help. Go here!!!!

The prices are also so low you really can't go wrong. The best deal I ever came across here was 12 dozen eggs and 12 pounds of bacon for $50. My Roommate and I split this and it was so worth it. The cereals, crackers, etc are kind of a hit or a miss all depending on what they have in. The paper goods and household type products are similar to big box stores as far as price so I tend to bypass that area. The whole store is worth going through because you can find some hidden deals. Also I recommend liking their Facebook page so you can stay up to date on the current deals and promotions.

In the HomeGoods section, I found a great ceramic tree and a few other pieces! It's really fun to shop around here with the variety they have. However, I never have a problem finding a parking spot. I seem to find items in this store that I don't see at others. I got a travel frother-mixer that charges with a USB cable. It was my first time seeing that combination. Normally, frothers require batteries (AA or AAA) to work. I also got a glass spritzer over a year ago. I use it to control the amount of oil I spray in a frying pan or on bruschetta, and it has been an awesome, practical find. Last week, I ended up getting iced tea in tea bags. They work well and don't require a lot of steeping time. The condiments section is extensive. You can find everything from chili oil to grainy mustard. I did enjoy the varieties of honey that this store had. I found raw and liquid forms. Some had hints of lavender and more. I saw a s'mores maker and a mini cooler. They intrigued me. Both HomeGoods and TJ Maxx share the same checkout area. Staff are always friendly and cheerful. The lineup was fairly long when I was here. They really have some unbeatable deals, but you do have to spend a good amount in order to get those deals because things come in such bulk sizes. Their hotdog dogs come with a free soda, and all their food options have unbeatable pricing. I love their smoothies, their pizza and their hotdog and their ice cream. Very simple items but a great treat for when you're done grocery shopping or just wanna come in just for those.
