The pharmacy at the Seven Corners Target (Falls Church, VA) filled my prescription with 150 mg doses of a certain medication instead of the 37.5 mg dosage prescribed by my doctor. The packaging had labeling indicating that it was the 37.5mg dosages that my doctor prescribed. I took the pills according to the prescription and as a result, I developed a plethora of symptoms such as nausea, headache, and elevated blood pressure. I found myself jittery, unable to concentrate or sleep and I couldn't hold down food. Because I took this incorrectly filled prescription, I was too ill to operate a vehicle and incapable of studying for my finals at school. I basically spent 2 days in bed, and because it's an extended release medication, I continue to suffer side effects from the excessive dosage that Target gave me. It is unacceptable that Target would hire and retain individuals who make mistakes like this with medications that, at least hypothetically, could KILL a person if mis-filled. Further. It is insulting that when I brought my medication back to the Target that refilled it, still ill from the effects of the 150 mg dosage I took, Target thought the pain and suffering that their negligence and incompetence inflicted on me merited only a pair of $3 dollar Target vouchers. Seriously. I'm not going to "die", so I'm not expecting some sort of crazy settlement, but I do think I am entitled to some show of genuine concern and a sign that Target takes the suffering it inflicted on me through employee negligence seriously. I'm probably going to end up missing work or having to go home early because of the symptoms I am experiencing between now and when this excessive dosage wears off; the type of callousness represented by "$3 dollar gift cards" seems more like something Wal-Mart would do than what I expect when I chose to use the pharmacy at Target. I am deeply disappointed and I don't think I can recommend your store to my friends and family, and I think that is a shame. read more

LACKING GREATLY in professionalism, friendliness and customer service. I literally just joined yelp now because of such a horrible experience I had at this location, Falls Church VA on Arlington Road. First let me say that I am a Target shopper around the country and they have all been wonderful expect this location, which has been extremely disappointing. I have shopped Falls Church twice and every time I have experienced rude Check Out Personnel and the Floor Help/Stocker who are unfriendly, act as if I was bothering them and had no customer service skills. But what got me to write this review was the incompetency and lack of customer service from the Pharmacy Tech. Example: One cashier would not stop pushing me to get a SECOND Red card. I mean, would not stop even when I said I did not want a second card. My husband said he will be calling corporate because of such poor service. Secondly, I called in a prescription and after TWO days of not hearing back, I called them ( as a customer we should not have to do ). Pharmacy Tech was quite confused about what she was doing. She also told me that I just picked up my prescription in another state ( Noooooo ). After the confusion went on for awhile, I asked her "Do I need to take my prescription to another location"? She just kept saying, we will text you when ready. I asked her when would that be. She would repeat, we will text you when ready. That is not the correct feedback to a customer who has been already waiting two days. read more

If you have to enter this Target heading towards DC on Rt 50, use Patrick Henry Drive. If you're coming the other way, use the entrance ramp...but keep an eye out for people flying down the service road. Following that, watch out for the people in the parking lot backing out without looking and playing games of chicken while trying to find parking spaces. If you've survived the first two portions, you are then rewarded with empty shelves inside. Looking down the cleaning goods aisle, almost all of the mops were gone. They didn't even have regular swiffers. The staff were at least friendly and helpful, but it's hard to be useful when you don't really have anything in stock at the store. I've had better experiences at the Skyline Target and I think it's worth the extra 10 minutes to drive out that way. read more

This Target could be MUCH better from a customer service standpoint. Great location and product selection. That's fine and dandy, but that doesn't go far when you have either incompetent staff members and SLOW cashiers. And I mean S.L.O.W.! Some of the staff members will really waste your time if you have a question about a product but I find it fascinating that they like to display their "authority" when it comes to shopping cart regulations within the store. I love target. Who doesn't? But today I had the best customer service by Terry. She was so sweet and friendly to the woman in front of me, helping her find a coupon to save money. When it was my turn you could tell she enjoyed her job. She is a great asset to your store and can teach other employees that a smile goes a long way. Unbelievable... I missed typed my payment amount on my first Target Red Card Statement by $9.00. They charged me $4.88 in interest! I'm updating my review to reflect that I'm finally "breaking up" with the pharmacy at this Target. They've abused me for too long. How awful is this pharmacy? Deeply, appallingly awful. It's hard to believe it's part of a Target store (in my experience, Target as a corporation generally has its act together). General complaints: 1.) There is ALWAYS a line. ALWAYS. 10:00 am on a Wednesday? Line. 3:00 pm on a Saturday? Line. 5:00 pm on a Friday? Forget about it -- you'll be standing in line for half an hour. A friend is a pharmacist's assistant at another Target in Virginia, and she says at her Target the policy is that there is never a line. Not so at this Target, where they seem A-OK with a line stretching all the way down the aisle. 2.) Whoever manages this pharmacy apparently has no idea how to run an efficient operation -- or just doesn't give a d*mn. Example: There are signs hanging over each window at the pharmacy counter. The signs above each window are different -- "Pick up," "Drop Off," and "Pharmacist Consult." You'd think that you'd go to the Drop Off window to drop off a prescription, and the Pick Up window to pick one up, right? Wrong, wrong, wrong! There is only one line, for everything. But the different signs confuse everyone. So you have a bunch of customers trying to wait in the non-existent pick-up line, only to find out that they've just wasted ten minutes. Result: chaos and anger in the line. A halfway competent manager would correct this situation in one day by ordering a simple sign that says "Please Form One Line." But it's been this way for the three years I've been going there. Another example: A few weeks ago I went there around 11am on a Tuesday for a flu shot. There is a big sign near the pharmacy window advertising that they give flu shots, no appointment necessary. So I wait in line for 10 or 15 minutes, and when I get to the desk, I say I'd like a flu shot. The slack-jawed employee says, "We only do flu shots from 1:00-5:00." I couldn't believe it. Why was this not posted on the PROMINENT SIGN advertising the flu shots, so I could have avoided pointlessly standing in line during my busy day? Things like this make it clear that this pharmacy simply doesn't value its customers' time. 3.) This Target serves a population with a high percentage of native Spanish speakers, yet nobody in the pharmacy seems to speak Spanish. I've lost count of the number of times I've stood in line waiting as a Spanish-speaking customer and a pharmacy employee stare blankly at each other, unable to communicate at all. Hire some Spanish-speakers; it shouldn't be that hard. Specific complaints: 1.) They've gotten two of my prescriptions wrong. Right medicine, wrong dosage, but still -- at some point, you have to ask yourself why you're entrusting your family's health to people who just don't seem to know or care what they're doing. 2.) A couple of weeks ago (it was a Saturday about two weeks before Christmas), this pharmacy experienced an epic customer-service meltdown the likes of which I have never experienced. A summary: I wanted to confirm that an auto-refill prescription had in fact been refilled (bitter experience has taught me that this is necessary there). It took me literally four hours to get an answer to this simple yes-or-no question. I was repeatedly put on hold, for periods as long as half an hour. I would hang up and call back, and the same thing would happen. Then they stopped answering the phone. I called the main store number and asked the store operator to connect me to the pharmacy. She said, "I'll connect you, but they keep hanging up on people." In disbelief, I asked to speak to the store manager. He informed me that the pharmacy was having "issues" that day, but helpfully said that he was walking over there at the moment, and he'd be happy to try to get an answer to my question. Lo and behold, with the store manager standing in front of her, a pharmacy employee looked up my record and informed me in an uncharacteristically polite and chipper tone that yes, my refill was waiting for me. So I bundled my 1-year-old into the car and braved the cold and the pre-holiday traffic to pick up the prescription. I arrived at the pharmacy counter at 4:45 pm. It was CLOSED and shuttered (closing time on Saturdays is 6:00 pm). As other confused and angry customers milled around, I flagged down the store manager. He apologized and said that the pharmacy's "issues" had forced it to shut down. He offered no further explanation. A footnote: I went in the following Monday to pick up the refill I had been assured was ready. I stood in line. It wasn't ready. Bottom line: I've transferred my prescriptions to the nice, new Safeway at the other end of the shopping center. There are no lines. And now, for all those times when I need to pick up a refill and a few groceries, Safeway gets my business -- all of it. read more

Worst target I have ever been to in Maryland or Virginia. Store is dirty, shelves are nearly empty, not enough cashiers and those cashiers that are "working" act as though they are paid through commission. I don't want much from a trip to Target, and I know if something is in sale it may be out of stock. However, I do expect to get through the register with efficiency and have assistance to match a price if I ask. Every other store I have been to will gladly do it and opens additional registers if there is an issue or the lines get long. Never going to this location ever again. This particular remodel has been steadily sliding down an oil-slicked, downward spiral. This pharmacy is atrocious and makes me want to transfer my prescription to D.C. so I can apply for my medicinal mary jane. I need something to calm my nerves after the salespeople disappear, the pharmacy lines are like breadlines during the Great Depression and the store is starting to feel like a cousin of a second hand store with department store prices. We come here for basic necessities. I was returning something and the cashier was handling the customer in front of me. He was not pleased so when it was my turn I knew that my transaction was quick and easy. He was so short and rude with me even though I was not being difficult or mean! He basically THREW my receipt at me. Like i had to catch it on its way to the floor. He did not even apologize. Aside from that experience, this store is always stocked with what I need and is not too messy. The trash cans outside are ALWAYS full to the point that there's trash all over the floor. A customer notified an employee that the trash cans outside were overflowing and he acknowledged him but did nothing about it. read more

I have never had any problems with this store but in December, I was charged$46.66 after purchasing coffee and pumpkin bread from their in store Starbucks. The staff is target staff and they don't give receipts. Later, that day, I noticed a $46.00 charge on my account. I called and and was told by a manager that it would be no problem to refund it and to come anytime. Therefore, I came in the next day. I was treated like a common criminal by a manager who claimed "He was the Manage" of the nice manager. He acted as if I had taken something. I have never been treated so horrible in my life.I received a gift card but the manner in which it was refunded to me by this manager of the managers there was deplorable. read more

Wow, what poor service and absent management No checkout people at all today, since the only card swiper open on the only staffed register store-wide would not read the payment card of a customer with an enormous load of items. There was no manager response to the cashier's call for help. This backed up the line, which resulted in I'd estimate a good $600 in lost sales when three customers abandoned the crisis and walked out. No, not everyone self checks, especially customers with loaded carts or big ticket items where human help is preferred. Am a regular customer here, but i may avoid this store for a while. Sad. I guess they worked so hard over Christmas that staff are all on vacation? Or, Target really counts January as an unstaffed month? Poor showing. read more

This Target is not bad it gets the job done. The parking lot is never really overcrowded and there is a cool Petsmart next door. Place could be a little bit more clean though. read more

It's target. The closest one to my house, has fresh food options and expanded frozen food. Overall, I'm a fan of their private label stuff and like how cheap some staples are there, but they and wal mart need to unlock the video games. Spent 10 minutes in a one person line waiting to get an xbox game because the guy had to go unlock the giant case. And stop sleeping on the food people! It's damn near impossible to screw up a hot dog, and they certainly don't here. All the pizza hut stuff comes frozen just like it does to the fancy taco bells and sits under a heat lamp too. get off your high horse and eat target food! read more

It's a nice Target with plenty of parking. Staff is friendly, and the pharmacy is efficient.

The store manager / assistant manager are very good at handling problems their staffs are unable to address. You often find them accessible at the service counter. Good job for not hiding in the back office as many managers do in other establishments. read more

This location has improved quite a bit. Well stocked, nicer employees, and they are not pushy with sales.

If this store hires people to work as cashiers, they should be able to ring up/scan items a customer wants to purchase. If they work at the register and can't ring up/scan certain items due to personal or religious issues find them another position. It is extreme that they refuse to even touch a bottle of wine and they will walk away from their register when there is a line of customers waiting so they can go find someone who will touch it and ring it up for them. I have only experienced this at this particular target. Once I was asked to scan it myself. Maybe they should wear a glove or something? read more

This review is specifically for the Optical Center at this Target. I have been there 3 times now and every experience has been excellent! The last time I went in their computer system was down, but Rada (I think that was her name) called multiple other target optical centers until she found someone who wasn't busy and could look up my insurance information to give me quotes on my new lenses! She really went above and beyond in what I'm sure was a very stressful situation for them. The employees in this department are the most friendly and helpful customer service providers I have ever encountered! Thanks and keep up the good work! These target employees were did not in anyway care about customers including myself. They were snotty and disrespectful when I came in store and asked if someone could help jump start our car. I understand that it's against policy according to them but the way they responded to the question was not professional in the least bit. I generally like Targets, but this particular one is horrible. If you're there to shop and you know what you want, it's fine. If you need help of any kind, these guys are completely useless... in fact worse than useless. They will waste your time. I have called to ask questions or ask if they had something in stock several times now and every time, I have been put on hold, or the phone has rung for ever and no one picks up. On the occasions that someone does pick up, they are completely incompetent and unable to help. I've had the same experience with speaking to workers in person at the store. I'm not sure if this store has a policy of hiring only inconsiderate idiots or what, but their staff is horrible and really of no help to customers other than to ring up your purchases. read more

Went in about a month ago for a few things. Guys, it's a target. If you've been to one, you've been to them all. Why are you even looking at yelp for Target? Anyway.... I went to get a cart upon arrival and it was filled with trash. Collected it and crushed it into a ball and asked an employee if he could throw it out in a trash can so it didn't end up on the floor or littered outside. He said no! At this Target it seems that there employees don't value customer service. We shopped Christmas Eve in the electronics department and the associate did not want to offer help we asked for a PS4 while he was assisting another customer and he looked at us and locked it back up. Had to ask someone else to help. When at the register the previous associate was ringing us out and didn't give us a bag. We asked if there were any bags and he said no. Clearly just gave the lady ahead a bag. Asked someone else and he grabbed us a bag. Why have people with negative attitudes working during the holidays. It wasnt even busy. Huge, relatively a clean store. Helpful employees once you can find one. They've held a item for me at the front desk before which no other store would bother to do. Usually has most items in stock unlike the skyline target. Its best to go during off hours to beat the rush. read more

This store is generally clean and convenient to Arlington, but as far as the customer service goes, it is terrible. My husband and I call it "Snarly Target". The employees often avoid eye contact and may only grunt at you when you check out. The Target Pharmacy is the last place you want to be if you are actually sick and need a prescription filled. You will likely wait in a long line and then the employee is likely to be rude. I am likely to start going out of my way to shop elsewhere because the customer service at this store is so poor. read more
