One place that will always dominate any neighborhood besides that other depressing behemoth store is Target. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Kyle Tx. Located in a safe part of town this place will have, most of what you want, but it's not a Super Target so not much in the way of food. Another point, the people walking around are few and far between but nice. The one issue I have with Target in general is they have a drab interior much like their rival. As for food, the selection is extremely limited. Barely half an isle for fresh produce, select meats and a few other selections. As for refrigerated items again the selection is limited with a few items available as needed. Finally the dry, snack and non-perishable items selection is much better but still not what you'll find at a larger store. I find I only shop here for food only when absolutely necessary. As for the kids section, they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is gone, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Finally, Target is bringing back the cashier so the wait times may vary. Other than those items, it's Target you know what you want. read more

Empty shelves, a decided lack of signage/pricing, and items on the floor throughout the store all make it a negative experience. Guys what is going on here. This was after 5 pm (so employees have all day to work and arrange). And it was today, Monday. I couldn't even choose to shop here because of the disorganization and chaos. It needed so much help and it was very sad. There were employees congregating and socializing in large groups in other areas of the store talking about non-work related gab. It breaks my heart to write this post because I love Target. This Target in Kyle used to be a really great store and I'm not talking about the staff. The staff is wonderful, and I know it's tough for them when rude customers come in and trash the place. That's what I've noticed lately: our Target is starting to look like a Ross store, with stuff scattered all over the floor. Nothing is put away properly, and the shelves are a complete mess. I've seen Target employees doing their best, but to me, some of this comes down to management not making an effort to keep the store in top shape. Some of the shelves were not completely filled so maybe having shipping issues or supply issues. Store was pretty clean inside and well lit. Pharmacy staff was friendly. Did not really interact with anyone else in the store due to the self check out being the only register I could see to get rung up. I really don't like self check out. The target in Kyle SUCKS twice I've done curbside and BOTH times missing things THE STORE NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE this time I had $60 in baby products I needed for my newborn and was probably all in one bag- Called customer service and they could replace but by MAIL only or a refund I asked about the store would they replace and was told no they'd only issue a refund which takes 3-5 business days to do so. Mind you it's FRIDAY! I called the actual store MULTIPLE TIMES and nobody answers! Came into the store to buy some Pokemon cards that were shown online to be salvage, and come with a great price. I am very poor so it seemed like a great opportunity to buy Christmas presents for my son in law, unfortunately the customer service lady working today said the cards could not be sold and snatched the product off the counter. She then stormed off looking for more of the product around Target. It felt very rude, especially since I had seen people working out deals to buy the cards online, through X, formerly known as Twitter. It was clear that the customer service lady didn't want to help me. She left me standing there in disappointment, and didn't return. I am constantly being followed by a secret shopper (obviously not so secret) I've never stolen Sh** in my life. At first it was so bad I thought he was a sex trafficker or something due to unfortunate incidences happen in the area involving that at the time. I called the police and they told me he's a secret shopper. I didn't believe it at first. It was so bad even other women approached me asking "do you know that man?" (Like WTF) I go back eventually and see the guy laughing with employees and what not and going into the employees only room. Having this said I guess he really is working for the store. He has literally followed me up to the register before and watches me check out but then the next time I go back THERE HE IS AGAIN! This store used to be nice and clean and organized with the customer experience being first priority. It couldn't be any more different now. I couldn't even shop in the clothing departments because they were so messy with clothes thrown over racks, all over the floors, and random out of area products all over. On a Friday night there was ONE cashier. The self checkout line was a steady flow of 10+ people and I saw a lead request backup once and then walk away. There were a handful of employees at guest service and not one went to help on the registers. A few minutes later, two employees mosey up from the floor to help but don't turn on their lights so they didn't really help alleviate the line. Employees used to make an effort to greet you and ask if you needed help, now they all avoid eye contact so you won't talk to them. They didn't seem understaffed, I saw tons of them hanging around talking by the fitting room...just like they don't really care. I'll stick to the southpark meadows location even though it's much further for me. read more

Target The store is a good store. What they allow in the electronics department should be illegal. They allow FAKE att sales people in the store to hound Target customers. These people do not work for ATT, they sale ATT services and will tell you anything to get you to sign up. Promises of free phones, lower prices than you currently pay. Its 99% BS. I say 99% becasue you will become an ATT customer, only thing they are truthful about. I ended up with a ton of extra fees and after 3 month when my "Specials" kick in, never happened. I was paying 130 more per month and after sending in my existing phones for a free swap, Im paying monthly for the new phones, no credit. ATT is trying to fix it for me. They themselves say never sign up with these guys. I went to the ATT store and they said never sign up with these guys. I feel dumb falling for it, im not one easy duped but here I am. First, I would like to say this is for the STARBUCKS inside the target, not the target itself- I wish I could have a 0 start review for the customer service I received tonight at about 6:45pm. I walked into the Starbucks, didn't get greeted for AT LEAST 6-7 minutes while there was 3 employed to the left side flipping a coin to see who has to clean up vs FINISH making drinks (when I say finish, I mean literally stopped making drinks to flip said coin). Finally, the male acknowledges me, but says he is the only one doing drinks and orders because his other coworkers were cleaning up to leave. Few more minutes go by, no order taken. A girl walks up, takes our order as a "favor" for the male that was still making drinks. This first of all, is already ridiculous. The male starts to make my drink, stops MIDWAY as another girl walks in telling him he can leave. He literally LEAVES my drink in the blender, not blended AND WALKS OUT! The girl that told him to leave wasn't even in her apron uniform or hat so I had to wait for her to get dressed to FINISH my drink. She had no idea what he had even put in the drink, so she added more flavor blindly and it tasted TERRIBLE!!! I went back to get it remade and definitely made sure to talk to a manager. I WILL NEVER be giving my money to this Starbucks EVER again and I hope the date and time can be matched up to the employees working that day and they be reprimanded! This location allows people to beg for money in front of their store. Every time I come here there is someone begging for money and I see them pull up in a 2020 Chevy Tahoe. They are not broke they are scamming and Target allows it. Not only that but they limit Pokémon cards. Today when I was ready to check out, there were no checkout lanes open....only the self-checkout stations. I've never encountered that anywhere. I asked the employee manning the self-checkout stations, do you not open checkout lanes anymore? He replied that they were short-handed. I understand staffing issues, but I would think it would be better to open a regular check-out lane, even if just one. I am not alone in not liking to scan, bag, etc my purchases. I have a full-time job, I don't need this part-time job as a cashier. The employee was kind, not his fault, he was doing as told. I think the Manager needs to consider the best use of resources when appealing to the larger consumer sector who does not feel it is our role as consumers to do our own check-out. This is a review about one specific moment. A moment in time. A moment where Target royally screwed up and ruined Christmas as we know it. Way to go, Target. So, Hatchimal. Those cute, adorable, entirely overrated trendy toy that nobody seems to have. Target announced they would have some in stock today. Super! I called the store. I asked for details. I was told that I needed to get in line and when the store opened, tickets would be given out so as nobody would get hurt rushing and fighting and ninja star throwing through the Target aisles. Makes sense, right? Hand out tickets at the door so nobody dies. So I got in line at 7am. An hour before they opened. There was already 10 people ahead of me. Woohoo! Hatchimal will be mine. Wrong. Apparently what Target REALLY did was have an employee camping out at the store overnight and handing out tickets to people at 4am, 5am, 6am. NOT at opening, like I was told. And I wasn't alone. Seven people in line, including the people in the front of the line who got there at 630am, were told the exact same thing. Show up, get in line, tickets handed out at opening. So here I am, with seven of my closest strangers, standing in line in the rain and 50 degrees, for a toy that I never will have. That my daughter will never have. You ruined everything, target. EVERYTHING. Why would I assume that, when you open at 8am, you would have a random employee hanging out at 4am!?!?! To save people waiting in line all night you make them wake up at 4am to get a ticket? HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!?! You're terrible, Target. read more

My son and I were shopping at Target in Kyle, TX today. He is 10 years old and has autism. This was his last day of Christmas break. After letting him browse through the video games and picking up a couple household items, we were walking toward the front of the store when he spotted a Charlie Brown DVD on the $5 family movies rack. He absolutely loves Charlie Brown, and was so excited to find it. I'm a recently divorced single mom on a tight budget, and not in the habit of buying him every little thing he sees...but he has been trying particularly hard to control his behavior recently, so I told him he could get it. He was so happy, he was actually bouncing and skipping as he carried it. Imagine our surprise when the dvd was scanned and a notice came up on the screen stating that it could not be sold until tomorrow. I instructed the cashier to call her manager, because the DVD was clearly stocked and should be available for purchase. She took my other purchases and set them aside, and cancelled my entire sale without allowing me to pay for any of it, despite the fact that I had my debit card in my hand. Then she motioned for me to step aside so she could ring up other customers. The kid who was the "manager" told me there was nothing he could do, even after I explained that it was stocked and labeled on the shelf, and how difficult it would be for my son to handle due to his disability. He called his supervisor, who apparently went to call someone else to check, then came back to tell me there was nothing he could do...because if they sold a $5 DVD to me a day early, they could be sued. Give me a break. At this point my son, who had had a really good couple of days to this point, broke down crying and became extremely upset. To a child with autism, the concept of returning tomorrow for something that was promised to him and in his hand today, is devastating. It clearly made no difference to any of the management or other staff. The reaction was essentially "yeah...sorry about that...come back tomorrow" and a shrug. To make matters even worse, when I tried to calm my son by offering him his favorite Starbucks drink as a treat, it turned out the in-store Starbucks had half their menu crossed off as "unavailable," including his drink. At this point it was impossible for me to handle my completely distraught son and also go back through the line to try to ring up the other items I needed, so I left the store empty-handed. I am so angry and frustrated by my experience today. The fact that I had to leave the store with NOTHING that I came in for due to an item being stocked in error, the utter incompetence of the cashier, and the fact that my son has been crying and trying unsuccessfully to calm himself down for the past hour due to an asinine and inflexible management policy, infuriates me. I'd love to be able to say I'll never shop at that Target again, but that's impractical and inconvenient for me. However, I will make sure that everyone I know...in particular the many other parents of special needs children...are aware of this incident. read more

So I did that picked up appropriate items and go to the cash register after waiting in line for a while. Only to find out that they needed to get my email address and I'll kinds of other information and then stick an app on my telephone before they would give me the lousy 10 bucks off. I love this location ... They sold me pants for 9.99 on sale (all styles) when everywhere in Austin didn't have this deal! I go here all the time with my mom (when in town) and the customer service has always been good. They were pretty picked clean during Christmas and we lucked out and got these awesome boots for my daughter. Every Target is pretty much the same.. But the selection is good, customer service is good and over all I wish this location was closer to my house. read more
