Floyd was murdered at I was assaulted at the usc village store in la,ca I was trying to do an exchange I had dove soap with no recipe the cashier asked to see my I'd then when I showed it to her she said it wasn't me I was told to leave the store and I could not come back by security it was a mess went to another target with no problem the girl did the exchange with no questions asked. this is a great location. It is technically considered an express target, but they have everything that you could possibly need. Definitely catered more towards student needs, but I have never not found anything that I needed here. The lines get very long often, but there are so many self checkouts that it was very quickly. my only complaint is that whenever I need to find a worker( they are nowhere to be found throughout the store. read more

They have a little of everything in the store (tv, video games, beauty, towels, sheets, food, clothes, etc). Verdict: great place to have near USC. Look, I get it. It's a very small Target, but don't show things as being in stock when they're not. I drove out of my way here before work to get something I needed. I did my due diligence and checked the online inventory on the Target app first. It was in stock. Not even low stock, in stock. I get there and it was nowhere to be found and I looked throughout the aisle (it's a small aisle). In case someone thinks "oh, someone must have just bought it right before you did," nah. It's not likely that somebody bought 5 potato mashers before I got there. And I got there at 7:25 AM I don't have time to go to another Target after work because it'll take two hours to get to the next closest one in LA evening traffic. I could have gone to a Ralph's but noooo. I'm going to have shitty poorly mashed potatoes tonight because I don't have the potato masher that was allegedly in stock at this stupid Target. read more

What a disaster zone. Nauseatingly atrocious customer service. Zero accountability or organization. 3 different indistinguishable lines in customer service area, 2 people working the counter, customers cutting in line and getting in screaming matches in front of security guards doing nothing... I spent over a half hour in line waiting to pick up a single item I ordered online! This location is a waste of space. Firstly, you have to pay to park unless you have validation, and I hate paid parking. I have yet to find anything I need, and will stop coming here. I came out of desperation because nothing is nearby, and have been disappointed every time. Underwear? No, but there's 8 aisles of makeup. Jacket, sweater, or even long sleeved shirt during winter? No, but there's bikinis. I fail to understand how they sell anything. As doe the line, it's one long line, and it's for a bunch of self checkouts. This is the closest Target to me, but I rarely come here. Always poorly stocked. Everything is usually sold out or missing, even though their website says it's in stock. No "nicer" items, mostly Room Essentials and that kind of cheaper stuff because this store caters to college students. No baby or kid stuff. Small selection of pet stuff. Long checkout lines, especially while school is in session. So long that they have to have those retractable line stanchions and a security guard to guide people through the line as if this were an amusement park. It took me 40 minutes to get through the line on a Sunday evening. Everything is a mess, aisles are small and usually blocked off by random stuff because they decide to leave the pallets of restock items everywhere instead of actually restocking. Prices are very high compared to regular Targets and online store on most items which is expected of a small Target like this, but they do price match to their online prices. You just have to show them the webpage and ask. However, it is very annoying to get a price adjustment on every single item by looking it up on their site. On top of that, this Target has poor cell reception. I have not seen Target guest WiFi pop up here on my phone like other Targets have the three times I've been here. Doesn't matter because Target WiFi sucks anyway. All employees look miserable and tired (which is understandable), but they have been pretty efficient at the 2 or 3 registers they have. The rest of the registers are are self checkout. Parking is free for 2 hours with validation. read more

This place should be named Target Lite because they barely carry anything. The selection is not great which sucks because that is the whole reason i love target (because they have EVERYTHING usually). Parking is underground (same as Trader Joe's parking). It's convenIent for students and anyone who lives around there that need to pick up some basic items but don't expect to see a bunch of different variations of items. read more

I came here for groceries after work yesterday on my way home. I didn't realize that this location is a mini Target (is there an official name for the small scale?), however I was able to get most things on my list. There is a fresh grocery section but I must have arrived right after the shelves were ran through by college students. In other words, please keep the grocery section stocked! Overall, I would go back to this location for a quick grab. Checkout is mainly self-checkout but there are maybe three actual cashier desks who will assist ringing you up. Parking is free in the underground lot for the first 60 mins. read more

This is one of the two closest targets to my house so I come here often and I have never had any bad experiences coming here! Employees are attentive and they always ask if I need any assistance, they have a great attitude, there's a Starbucks on site and all the employees are nice and respectful. There is under ground parking and this target does free validations for a certain amount of time. They have an electronic section, a food and clothing section, as well as others like cleaning and hygiene supplies and a section with arts and crafts and more. read more

Dinkiest and most annoying target of all time. Even though it is the most teeny tiny target on the face of the earth, you can still buy Starbucks there. There is also a full aisle of booze when the perfectly well priced booze is right next-door at Trader Joe's. The groceries are also better right next door at TJs. Sure I can't buy tennis shoes at Trader Joe's, but I can't buy tennis shoes at this target either! I'm not kidding! They might have a few flip-flops and you'll be lucky if one is in your size. It's kind of like a store in a Third World country, except they have the most ridiculous poorly designed check out counters that are way too high tech for a Third World country. They have one narrow bottle neck area that leads to both self check and the clerk. If you just want self check, you could easily get stuck in line behind people who are waiting to buy booze from the clerk. read more

Target Express is much smaller than City Target, which is smaller than the regular-sized Targets. It's great for students and locals looking for some grocery items and basics, mostly an emphasis on the college student being at USC area. They mainly have self-check outs, which I am not that big of a fan of, but it works out for a smaller Target like this where I don't expect to carry too much home. Be sure to download Cartwheel on your phone for Target coupons for extra savings since many people under-estimate how much they'd save. If you have a Target credit card, you'd save an additional 5%. read more

Like what other reviewers have mentioned, this is a mini Target! It supplies more food/grocery items and household stuff catered towards college students. Because of that there'a little to no room for the (usually expansive) clothing and shoe section. Unfortunate because I love getting clothes from Target, but they did the best they could with the space. read more

I realized I should update my review as I actually go here quite often now. It is ***vastly*** improved from when it first opened. It's still a Mini Me Target obviously there isn't as much in stock as a full scale Target. But what they do have is nice and clean and nicely organized, and they have a much better variety of stock now. read more

Brand spanking new Target at the new USC Village complex that has been completely rebuild from the ground up. Free 45mins parking. This is a small Target just like the City Target skin DTLA 7th and Figueroa. Not a super big Target but def good enough for your quickie supply trip. The store is inside the USC Village building next to Trader Joe's and it's about the size of a Rite Aid. The underground parking lot is not free ($5 for 30 minutes). The prices here are more expensive so it's better to do online orders (or mobile app) and check for the store stock items and pick them up here instead. read more

Upon entering the Target, there were so many things out of place, not one person greeted us and there was no one that seemed to be in any aisles to help us out. I found one person who was stocking shelves and asked where the alcohol section was. She rolled her eyes when I asked her and then very rudely told me where the section was and never made eye contact with me. I guess this is the service you get when you go to a target ran by 20 year olds. But the worst part of this visit was when we were checking out. A horrible and inadequate associate who honestly in my opinion disgraces whatever target is idk, very rudely spoke to us and told us to get in the back of the line because we weren't following "rules" properly. She's super socially awkward but MOLLY was obviously racist and homophobic and pushed us to the back of the line and said that we were blind because we couldn't read signs. We were just trying to purchase alcohol and did not know that we were unable to at self-checkout. She said, "what are you blind it says right here that you can't buy alcohol, go to the end of the line and check out again" without giving us any eye contact and brushing us off quickly. Molly was extremely rude and exhibited horrible behavior. She is the type of person to speak horrible about black people and slander gay people. I do not feel comfortable shopping there with MOLLY working there and that reflects Target. I can happily say that I will NOT be coming back to Target. read more

I visited this store the other day while I was on Vacation. I needed some things while I was here. I was expecting a full size Target but I guess this is one of those express stores. I decided to get a coffee while I was shopping. I stood at the register for a minute before the girl behind the counter realized I was there. I can't remember her name but I think it started with a K. She had short hair and glasses. She was very short with me and a bit rude if I must say. I didn't really feel welcome. I'm not sure if she was upset or stressed out but she wasn't very friendly. Also, I hate to say this but I could smell her B.O. as she walked passed me and lifted her arm to clean. I guess hygiene is not a requirement at Starbucks. I then stood in one of the LONGEST lines I have ever stood in at ANY Target I've been to. What is up with this store? I asked my friend if this was normal and she told me yes. I think they might need more ringers or something because this place is a MESS! I would avoid this store if you would like to get in and out in a hurry. This is NOT the place for that. Also the staff isn't very helpful or friendly. read more

Happy this target provides parking for free, since you hardly find free parking in LA. One downside is the selection on items. They only provide the basics of things and even then they might not have items or are out of stock! But it is better than nothing. read more

Smaller version of a regular store. I stopped to buy a gift card, in the gift card endcap, all they had for target where Visa and Amex branded cards, meaning I had to pay a $5 service fee to use those (i.e. $50 GC costs $55 before taxes). I asked a staff member for regular target GCs, and he said that is all they carried. Target DTLA charges more then online or other store locations, and parking is not free. Target is really telling you who their demo is with these two locations in the area. read more

I love this target for a quick stop. Won't have everything a major Target would sell basically because it was built geared toward college students ( hence it was built underneath their new dorms and inside USC campus) but if you need the basics like medicine cleaning supplies a quick bite to eat or makeup they will have it. They have limited stock of nice clothes and mostly USC gear. It's great and 2 minutes from my home! But WARNING... if your looking for a fully stocked Target this is not the store your looking for.
