It's a tiny target & the point is for you to get in and get out! I live in the area and appreciate a NEW, CLEAN, and close by Target for simple needs. It's already my go to place! :) I do wish the parking lot was a bit bigger but since people are coming in and out with a little patience you will eventually get a spot. If you don't have patience for parking, hate self check out, and need 50 different cereal options...this is not the Target for you! read more

I Wait 2+ hours for a product out of stock for 2 weeks I watch the employee / manager wheel the pallet in with the cases of the product I'm looking for ... the whole pallet gets broken down and everything gets put on U boats and brought out except the product I'm waiting for they even broke down 4 more pallets after that pallet while I'm waiting eventually an employee comes out with a big reused moving box with the product dumped inside not in the sealed case it came in like every other product on the pallets and all the desirable products where taken by employee / employees in the back room & the employee has the nerve to ask me if I found what I was looking for when he probably had all the good items stashed in the back room ... overall waste of 4 hours and last time I was lied to that no product had arrived only to arrive the next day and be told the product did arrive yesterday and was "found" after I left even thought I waited nearly 3 hours that time until they kept telling me nothing came in. Have the decency to at least tell me your employees or you your self are scalping the products before they hit the shelf of all the desirables instead of having me waste 3+ hours & smiling in my face while lying to me your customer. read more

He had a line of costumers and since its the Friday after Thanksgiving lines tend to get extremely long but he was still friendly and efficient once it was our turn. This is NOT a full size Target, only a Target Express. Apparently K-Town doesn't warrant the real deal. They wasted space on a Starbucks and a pharmacy (there are at least 3 other major chain store pharmacies within a two mile radius I can think of offhand), but there are no dressing rooms, nothing for automotive, home and garden, etc. and only 2 toilets for store - toilets currently doubling as the dressing rooms. Great selection of items. Bought a gift card for my niece here. Prices are lower than the supermarket ($5.95 activation fee vs $4). Lots of bargain items. Ample parking and friendly customer service. I just hope the lines were shorter, since I can't simply go to the self checkout line with a gift card. read more

The good news is that is not as bad as everyone says. The bad - its barely a Target. I gave 4 stars because it's very clean and organized, free parking and a great staff. The have a decent inventory - a miniture version of a "Real" target. There is a CVS pharmacy and a Starbucks. I'm curious to see how they do. It's a tiny Target, I've never been to one this small. As a long time ktown resident, I am so thankful for this new location as it saves a lot of time. I don't want to drive 20 min to get that travel shampoo bottle that only Target carries. Parking is a breeze (I feel like this might change as people become aware of this location). True, it doesn't carry everything larger targets carry but you can always check online to see if they have the specific item you're looking for before you go. It's usually something weird going on at this target. However they are well stocked and typically have what I'm trying to get. There's always a park available. Even though it's not a huge target they did a good job of carrying a variety of items. I like this target and I will be visiting in the future. read more

I actually really like this Target for what it's trying to do. I just wish that Target would have looked at the demographic in the area before deciding to build a store here. Arthur park is down the street and all the homeless come there to take stuff and then sell it down the street to the the street vendors. I wouldn't have believed this until I saw a homeless guy load up on Tide pods of all things and go down the street to sell it. Hand baskets, Carts, Merchandise, you name it. If it's not tied down then its getting taken . I've seen this numerous times at this location. All do the homeless people camp parade around in the parking lot . The aisles are empty or missing items . I talked to the security and guess what I found out. Target doesn't allow them to grab and arrest shoplifters like they used too in the past and the police no longer respond to homeless people calls. I looked it up after I left and I found out that people who shoplift who are homeless get Zero dollars bail and are released right after being arrested regardless of the amount they take so the police don't even respond for shoplifting calls anymore. I felt bad because the Security there practically can't do anything but are blamed for everything. Obviously Target should've thought about that before building this store. You can't conduct business if all the homeless people are taking everything. read more

My wife and I experienced horrible shopping experienced at this place yesterday. A$%HOLES at the electronics department and check out stand gave us major attitude problem when we ask for help to open one of a product on the wall that had an anti-theft locks and at the check out stand. They (Target) seriously need to train their employees what Customer Service is all about and tell them to set aside their bad personality when working in the service sector, especially in K-Town known for their awesome service mind people. read more

I was pretty excited to have a target so close by but I didn't realize it would be so small! I'm sure it's great if you're running in for a last minute shop or to grab some milk, etc. but to do a full shop for everything you need on your grocery list I would not recommend coming to this location. read more

What can go wrong when the building you live in has a Target?! It is so convenient and I love the staff at Starbucks and Target! They're always so cheerful and super nice. It's a smaller Target but it basically has everything for daily necessities! I'm not sure what more other Yelpers are expecting from smaller size Target but I think it's great and grateful it's so close. read more

This is not a Target this is a convenience store at least in size. Went to grab a few items for our grandson staying at Children's Hospital. There is only one small isle for toys and very limited in all stock. This is just a store if forgot your toothbrush. read more

No changing rooms. Pro-tip, Target: do not sell clothing if you're not going to provide a place to try it on. Terrible design at the new Target on Virgil. It's TINY - truly a City Target. There are no changing rooms, so they suggest you use the restroom. Which are unisex, so one at a time, and there are only two bathrooms. There's one small bag hook, so no place to hang the garments. I like the new Koreatown Target. Though smaller than an average target, this one has a central location, free parking, cleanliness, and helpful staff. The downside really is the selection - it's just not as big so they fit what they can in, but it's certainly not fully stocked. For the selection they do have though, I can say I have been pleasantly supersized -- good fresh food section, decent clothing sections, small electronics area. Overall, it's a smaller target, but still does tremendously well with the space it was given. read more

THIS IS NOT A FULL SIZED TARGET. This is not even a City Target. This is an "Express" Target. (Basically a CVS/ Walgreens type store.) Im sure for people in the neighborhood its great to run in and run out but I was in a rush and needed a specific item - which they didn't have - as its a very limited store. Horrible! Do not shop at this location. I'm a big fan of Target, have their credit card & shop Target regularly. I was out & stopped at the Koreatown location. I'd never been and will never go back. The store has no variety of products. The space is too small to accommodate them. They sell CVS products, but should re-brand the store as a stand-alone CVS. When you find a product you want, it is most likely secured to the shelf & you have to ask someone to get a key & unlock it. They then put the product at "customer service" & you have to request it at checkout. I went to self-checkout. There were no associates at customer service, & one associate for six registers in self-checkout. After waiting for the associate to finish with other customers and then for him to retrieve my product, the register didn't recognize I had made a purchase qualifying for a $5 gift card. I asked the associate who had no idea to what I was referring. He called someone else on his radio to help. After that associate fixed the issue, I paid & went to the parking garage. The scanner wouldn't read my receipt for free parking. There were 3 patrons having the same issue. After getting an associate they said there was nothing they could do, to press the intercom when driving out, explain the situation, and they could raise the gate. Inconvenience and lack of service at every turn. DON'T GO HERE. read more

The target in Koreatown is an express store. With this store being an express, it should focus on having employees with good guest service. There is mostly self check outs, which should consist of someone with energy and walking around helping guests. I went to this store on 3/20/19 while a girl named Brenda was at the self check out at the main entrance. The girl looked like she was not happy with her job at all. She did not greet the guests or walked around to see if any one needed any help. Self check out is about being able to make your presence known, not just standing in one place. Some guests asked her questions, and she responded bland and with an attitude. read more

Is this even a Target?? Recently moved to the area and was so excited to learn there was a Target nearby. Until I shopped there. It's so tiny, it's like a third of the Targets I'm used to. It's also super disorganized. It's obvious the employees don't care about the job. Twice, I've ordered items online to pick up at this store and twice I've been burned. Once, after placing an order I got an email about two months later informing me that the store had made a mistake and they no longer had any inventory left. The second time, they just completely ignored my order? As I'm writing this, my item was supposed to be available three days ago but of course, no response and certainly no update. This Target is literally a waste of space in Koreatown. I'm sticking to the downtown area one, even if it is a slightly further drive. Note to management: TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES. read more

Honestly, all the bad reviews here are just proof that you can't satisfy anyone. The purpose of this TARGET EXPRESS STORE is to be able to go in and get out quickly. You're just getting what you need nothing else. The target has free parking and two cashiers, for some reason people don't want to take advantage of that and refuse to move to the other lanes which then is the persons own choice to stay in a long line. Secondly, all the employees are kind and always there offering help. Secondly I've seen people complaining to the employees about the size and the merchandise in the store, you do realize that the employees there have NO CONTROL over what goes in and out of the store right?? Or how the store is built?? As for the prices, those are target prices, all the target stores will have the same price no matter where you go and that's why there's the target app so you can price match and if you find it on Amazon for cheaper you can all price match. read more

The Koreatown Target is finally open (well, it's been open a couple weeks now)!  For someone who frequents K-town, this feels long overdue, but it's definitely an exciting moment ... it also signifies the upswing in gentrification happening in the area.  I did a quick jaunt to the store recently to find that the store was in full swing with people all over shopping like crazy.  The Starbucks that's just inside the entrance seemed busy and chocked full of caffeine-craving customers and there's an onsite CVS Pharmacy of which patrons can take advantage.  The store has more of the feel of a City Target because it's not huge, but it is on the ground floor of the NEXT apartment complex, so I would imagine that's pretty convenient for current or potential residents.  There are check-out areas near both entrances - one near the corner of 6th and Commonwealth and one near the garage at the back of the store (self-checkout).  And yes, there's free parking in the garage that is covered for an hour.  Now, you probably won't find all the products that you're accustomed to purchasing at a larger Target location, but this site seems to have the majority of items that we've come to expect ... household items, food and beverages, etc.  The store was clean and bustling on my first visit, so I expect with its prime location, it will continue to thrive. read more
