I purchased a ring from the jewelry department on 3/18/25. I travelled to South America and presented this to a friend but it was way too small. I promised that I will return it and get a larger size or something else. It was jus $29.99 plus tax. I had the ring in my drawer and forgot. It happened and all I wanted was a larger size ring. The receipt stated 30 days but I have returned items and was able to exchange or get a store credit. Not this time, I was told that jewelry is 30 days or keep it, no exchange no store credit. My receipt looks like every other receipt so why am I being told this. I called the manager and she was dismissive, said it was 30 days, no exchange or store credit and to have a nice day. Wow, I could not believe what I was hearing or seeing. I came home checked the policy on the internet and nothing stated that jewelry has a different return policy. I have reported this to the BBB and called TJ Max customer service but they are closed. Sad that people with a little position as a manager can be s dismissive and unhelpful. read more

So many rude employees, they give you a bad look when you walk in the store they try to hide hello kitty blankets and call you slurs behind your back and the manager doesn't do anything about it after being told. I have dealt with this behavior for months and I have had enough. They are grown women and they need to start acting like it . I think they should fire these employees it's unacceptable and wont bring more people to shop if they keep it up. read more

I have been coming to this T.J.Maxx for years I usually have a good experience but the last time I went, this chubby lady that works there named Elizabeth went above and beyond to not sell me an item just because she clearly wanted it for her self, she kept it in the front register with her. I usually go to the TJ Maxx at the Beverly connect near the Beverly center; however, this TJ Maxx location is pretty decent. Has a wide array of items. I initially came here to purchase more dress shirts for work; however, I ended up picking up some coffee stainless steel mugs, some earphones, and some other products that were good quality for decent price. Smaller-sized TJ Maxx with less of a selection than the larger dedicated stores. I absolutely hated that it's located within the Baldwin Hills mall AND it shares a parking lot with Wal-Mart (puke). Whoever thought it would be smart to put a full shopping mall right next-door to a Wal-Mart is totally batshit, must not suffer from claustrophobia, and clearly has never seen the website PeopleofWalmart.com. Heller!? Probably why your mall is failing. The trip here, while I won't be repeating it, was okay. I looked at the minuscule kitchen and bath section and found a few items I liked at very reasonable prices. I got some German savory honey ($6) tea for the morning ($3-4) and bamboo kitchen utensils ($4). Then I walked by the candle section to do some sniffing and boy am I glad I did. Discovered soy candles in droves and hauled away 8 of them. There were more but I had to stop myself. If you believe the hype then you know soy candles supposedly smell better, burn cleaner, and (my favorite) LAST longer- up to 3x as long as a wax candle of the same size. I never jumped on the soy candle train because they tend to be insanely expensive but the TJ Maxx pricers don't seem to realize soy is any different than any other candle. These babies were all $7 each or less. Overall it was a grungy little store inside a lackluster little mall but I got some good finds (I think) so the trip was with it. read more

Good place to do some shopping especially on the holidays. The thing that suprises me time and time again are all the high end brands like nike and north face that are here. Great selection on clothes overall. I very much enjoy the section in the back as well. Good stuff from teas to glassware. Good prices for awesome stuff. The TJ-Maxx is okay. I do really enjoy it's location. I can hit up a bunch of stores conveniently so that's always nice. The staff is friendly and I do like their selection, but just like any discount store...it can get a little run down looking. It has an almost picked over vibe and can get very messy very fast. I do enjoy being helped by the woman in jewelry. It's almost always the same lady and i come in and look or pick up some of the Betsey Johnson earrings. She is SO nice and accommodating. You just have to have patience when coming here. Patience for the store/shopping and the inevitable line. I have found some amazing deals at this particular location when it comes to make-up and cosmetics like amazing prices on Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kits and some Kat Von D products. I notice that the one in Culver City never has much make-up or maybe it's all gone by the time I get there. Either way, I enjoy my local TJ-Maxx. Parking is chill too so that's a plus. read more

This TJ Maxx has gone under a pretty serious albeit slow remodel over the past few years. What used to be a poor excuse for a branch has turned into quite the hidden gem. My favorite part of TJ Maxx is definitely their beauty section. I love scouring the aisles for a good body butter or scrub. They recently expanded this section from a few 4ft. pillars of random products to about 3 aisles filled front and back with everything from pumice stones and shower caps to makeup and coffee scrubs. I also found some really cute tops during the summer months for an amazing price. You do have to have some level of patience though to shop here given the racks are in such close proximity to each other and you're always saying "excuse me". Will continue to shop here whenever I'm in the mall! read more

Horrible horrible customer service!! Some of the employers must don't want to do their job in customer service. I went there to look for a specific item a week ago. I asked a young guy stocking the shelves if he could look in the back storeroom. I told him the type of item. I asked him if he knew what it was, he said irritably he did. He came back 3 minutes lster ( i timed it) and said there wasn't any. I then showed him a pic because I knew he didn't. He then said after he finished stocking the shelves he would look again. I waited 15 minutes, maybe more. I then asked him when was he going to look because I was on a lunch break. He rudely said, I told you i would look when I was done! Now I know he's stocking shelves, but this request took all of a few minutes! Where was his customer service?! So I talked to the manager, who of course BS'd me and said she would talk to him. So today I go back to that store because a friend had those same items on hold from an employee there. As soon as I walk in the manager says, oh we don't have any of what you're looking for. I had to tell her yes you do and they're on hold!! She didn't even say hello I don't think we have those items or any customer greeting! I looked at her like you're rude and I will never shop at this store. They all need a training in what customer service is!!! read more

They often have some good deals and lots of clearance items. It is convenient that there is plenty of free parking as it is part of a mall. Wow, I guess not too many make it over to ghetto TJMaxx as I'm the first to report. I live right in the middle of the Glendale, Culver City and Crenshaw stores and have sampled them all. This one is easily the grossest but manages to have a better selection than Glendale. The lines are excruciating slow and the muzak has been playing on scratchy speakers for years- just don't play it then! For tidiness and short check out I choose Glendale. Check out is tedious and staff surly at Culver City. I'd go here only if you're in the hood. read more

I always find random items at this location rather than the Culver City TJ Maxx. And by random I mean miscellaneous items like sauces, pans, candles, arts & crafts, cute t-shirts, etc. They do have a good range of clothes for every age. Cute handbags (Juicy, Michael Kors, Dooney & Bourke). I once tried layaway for a Calvin Klein coat that was originally $300 but got for about $150. They give you 30 days to pay and a $5 fee with a 10% down payment to reserve. What sucks is that they do not accept sale items, furniture, perfumes, or jewelry. What does suck is waiting for any associate to arrive and help. Well that's pretty much any section i.e. jewelry section, fitting rooms, check out/returns section.. but other than that there's always a cashier but a line to go along with it.. All the items never stay/last, so if you find something you like, take it or forever regret! read more

Like any other TJ Maxx store located in a mall this one is quite small but the merchandise selection is quite decent and I have found quite a few good deals here over the years. The prices are most definitely reasonable and I have found some truly excellent bargains in the clearance sections where you can save up to 70 percent off the regular price on some items. Definitely recommended. read more

Tj maxx is down the street from me- literally walking distance- I'd give it 5 stars, but their kids section is really lacking! And their shoes department hardly ever has my size in shoes.(7.5) Which makes me kinda sad because I LOVE shoes!! Its an OK store,its not as big as some of the other Tj Maxx's but it does have enough to make you stop in there if you re already at the mall shopping.The store was clean but not clean CLEAN like a store in a more middle income area.The shoes were well organized, since that's the main reason why I stopped in there in the first place.Unfortunately they weren't as cheap as I had hope.Maybe its a good thing I couldn't find the best pair to fit me since I would have spent way over my budget. I just bought a bra yesterday that wasn't really supportive as I had hoped it would be, so that's about the extent of my shopping so far.I had to return it today and I had no problems with that either. The lines weren't any longer yesterday(Friday evening) as they were today(Saturday morning).They actually weren't long at all.I really didn't have a problem with this store.It just didn't have everything a Marshall's or Ross would have.I know that's unfair to say since TJ MaXX isn't either of the two mentioned companies, but it is what it is. This is the first time I've been in a TJ Max. My review is on the beauty section of the store because I didn't check any other section out . I was low on time. I really liked it. It has a good variety of things. It carries everything from hair care to skin care. It also carries make up and hair styling products. It carries from very high end to mid price at very affordable prices. I also like that they have it divided into sections for each category, even though it isn't as organized in each section, but it's not all scrambled together like at Ross. It also has better organization than Marshall's. The section is much bigger to. I will definitely come back a lot more. read more

I forgot I needed a special pot and took a chance and ran into TJ Maxx I knew they would be open for one more hour, Whoopee! I made it and I found the pot I was looking for, call it Luck I call it Blessed. That is what I like about TJ Maxx they are opened until 9:00PM and they have a lot of departments. They are something like a Home Goods store, being owned by the same company the buyers are always on point. Everything was neatly placed on the shelves and well stocked for this time of night, that is a good thing. They saved me tonight! I didn't encounter anyone with an attitude, everyone was very nice and helpful, very good Customer Service, you know how I feel about spending my money with stores or dealing with unfriendly people. To me that is totally unacceptable, it doesn't take a lot to smile and be nice to customers. So TJ Maxx as I am waiting in line I would like to thank you for ending my evening on a Sweet Note. TJ Maxx, what a store. I tried on every piece of clothing they had to offer and I found nothing that would fit! C'est la vie, this is the life of a man of my build. I enjoyed the company of all who worked for Mr. Maxx, they provided comfortable and challenging services. They remained organized as I proceeded to undo all of their hard work. I nearly tore several dresses, but their colors complemented my radiant brown eyes and for a moment I felt as though I were the prize stallion of the county faire. Having spent well over a hudred bucks, I assumed that only having three cents I would be able to get a bag to carry out my things. The manager at this store is not customer service friendly at all. I found a coffeemaker at this location (last one in store) with no price tag. I found the exact same coffeemaker online at The Bed, Bath & Beyond around the corner for $50 and asked the manager to price match and sell the coffeemaker to me for $50. He refused and insisted on charging $70 for the coffeemaker. I left the store without purchasing. I then found the exact same coffeemaker at the TJ Maxx on Sepulveda for $30!! I will never visit this location again. They tried to charge me more than double the price for a basic coffeemaker. read more

I've been putting off writing this review but since i was on yelp today thought i would save some of you the awful experience. I went about three months ago, I went specifcally to purchase workout clothing. The selection of clothing is great but man oh man they have a bitter woman for a manager. I did not catch her name. She is around her 40s or 50s (big-boned, african american, gray hair, and the attitude of someone who hates her job). As I was maneuvering through the store with my baby stroller, we crossed paths. She waited and gave me the right of way, so i told her, i was actually making a right on the lane she was coming from and she gave me such a dirty look. It made me feel unwelcomed, maybe because I had children, or maybe because I was dressed way too casual (i was about 2 months postpartum). I've been there previously dressed in business casual and have never gotten bad service. then I go over to the makeup section and when I got close to their selection I saw everything was broken, all the eyeshadows were broken, all their individual items were opened. there was eyeshadow on teh floor. My toddler was about to touch one of the items when teh same manager pops out of an office and tells me to tell my son to stop touching the merchandise. if she really cared for her merchandise i'm surprised she didn't catch who the hell broke all the cosmetics. Instead it seemed like she just wanted to irritate us so that we would leave the store. Never ever coming here again. I especially don't want to run into her again. I didn't tell her anything then I was too exhausted with my newborn and figured I did not want to get on same petty level as her. TJ Maxx, coming from the HR dept for a big company, you should definitely consider who you hire. A person who hates their job will play in important part on the failure of a company. read more

Wow I always use to come to this TJMax such great selection however this time they cut the mens section by atleast 75% and looks like they made more room for "home section" which I can appreciate because I love there sister store Home Goods however I will not be returning to this location you would think they would stock up cosidering they lost major competition when Wal Mart closed. read more

This place is a hit or miss. The store is a bit small but at least it's organized. Sometimes it looks like only 3 people work there which seems kinda low but they make it work. They do need a better selection of clothes. Often can't find what I'm looking for but its the nearest to home to go to so I give it a shot once in a while.
