I roll through this Target all the time as it's convenient and there's always parking on the second floor. It's a very small Target with a limited selection, but it's just enough to be better than other stores in the area. However, there have been times I've gone in with a full grocery list and they didn't have specific items I was looking for like Hawaiian Rolls, specific chips or ice creams - they did have 4 flavors of Spam though, including a Hello Kitty branded one. So...selection is all over the place! A little bit of everything to be had here. A lot of the personal care items are locked up so you have to call for assistance for a $5 toothbrush or $9 toothpaste, meanwhile $20 mouthwashes are in the same section not locked away. It's fascinating but I'm sure there is a method to all the madness. I've only had interaction with staff to unlock shelves for me and they've always been nice enough. They have a bunch of self checkout registers for checking out and I've never had an issue or needed further assistance. It's great to have a Target in the area but a girl wishes it was just a little more amazing. read more

Wow, the food here is absolutely disgusting. I have been in here several times over the years when I need something in a hurry since this store is close to my house. and every time I go in I find expired food (I mean meat that literally expired months ago) all over the place. Today I found hot dogs that expired in February and a whole rack of bread that expired nine days ago. I would not purchase food here unless you look at every expiration date very carefully. Also, you would think the health department might want to look into this. And another thing, so sick of seeing people walk out with free stuff almost every time I go here and no one doing anything about it. They closed one exit a couple of years ago due to the shoplifting issue. Which is why the prices for the "paying" customers are so damn high! 145 pm on Wed Jan 15. I placed an order for two Good & Gather 1 lb organic veggie trays ($6.49 ea) rather than going to the nearest grocery store near my office in mid Wilshire (Ralph's btw $8.00). Drive up online order was processed very quickly! It took them 10 minutes to push the notification that it's ready. I entered from the alley and found signs and cones that they moved the Drive Up spaces to the upper level parking. I'm waiting about 8 minutes in space #1 and didn't realize that I didn't complete the app check in! I saw the runner and thought to grab the code from the app. FUDGE BAR!!! It's been a while since I've used this app. I forgot to enter the space number. WHAT A PRE-SENIOR MOMENT! So didn't forget to follow through for check in. Luckily, the young man had the two items on board his cart. So, the lady that pulled into space two after I had already arrived got her stuff before me. Thankfully, her order was small too. The runner came back to my car and I had the code ready for him when he handed over the containers of organic veggies with ranch dip. So, as always, best to shop during off peak times. I was out and on my way home in about twelve minutes. I instructed them not to bag the items as I brought my own shopping bag. read more

There were two lights on for open registers, and the woman on one of them didn't wanna service me. I was really rude about it so I went to the guy who is great, but if the register isn't open, they should shut off the light. Fun Target in the heart of the City! I'm from this neighborhood and seen so many changes since this location used to house an Osh. I finally had the time to drop by for some fresh salad kits for my family dinner on a Saturday morning around 10am. I turned in off of La Brea and found the lower lot so small, there's actually a ramp up to rooftop parking (and, those views of Hollywood, tho)! Take the elevators down to the single level store and walk right up to the impressive Bullseye station right up front. Thanks to inflation, nothing is really a dollar anymore but there are a ton of cute, seasonal décor for $3 and $5. After raiding that, you'll find a grocery section, women's section, kid and baby section, toys, (video) games, gym and home equipment plus some books on the north end of the store. Walking to the south end, there are more seasonal sections, with office supplies and makeup. I paid by the elevators I got off of and note those are all self-pay as more and more "City" Targets tend to have. Great experience and I'm satisfied with the supply. I'll be back! read more

I love these new smaller sized neighborhood Targets and the Mid-City Target is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. This Target is in the space that was previously an Osh Hardware store. It's a long, narrow store. It spans about ¾ of the block between 4th and 8th and La Brea. Walking from end to end will make your Fitbit really happy. There is some street metered parking on La Brea, some free parking on the south side of the store, and ample parking on the top of the store. You can find almost anything you need at this Target, including groceries, and if you can't find it at the store, you can order it and have it held for you at the store. If you like Target, I highly recommend getting a Red Card so you can have things delivered for free if the order is over $35, and you get 5% off each order when you use the Red Card. Can't beat that deal. I even got a $40 coupon when I applied for the Red Card. Not sure if they still have that offer, though. Anyway, this is a nice, clean, well-organized Target. They have ample staff, and they are very helpful. I've used the store pickup service twice and it's easy peasy. This is my favorite Target. Easy five stars. read more

It's smaller in size and selection than other nearby Target locations. I would swing by sometimes if I need a few things or to do a quick return because it doesn't get as busy as the other locations. It may not have all my go to Target items, and it wouldn't be my first choice to see various options in a gift registry. Holiday decorations or seasonal items are usually limited to one or two aisles. Check your items before leaving the store if you do store pickup. Their inventory is not always up to date if you check the number of items online prior to your arrival. Target does price match like other retailers. However, some prices do not match the shelf price tag, which I've also noticed at other locations. They'll adjust the prices if you notice it as you are ringing up the items or on your receipt. When they did not believe me and did not want to double check, I showed them the app of their own in store price. It's mainly self checkout service. I frequently check the app for additional Target Circle savings or coupons. You can stack coupons, and their current policy includes one manufacturer's coupon, one Target coupon, and one Target Circle offer per item. read more

I've had two visits here now since there are so many Targets to choose from within a small radius. It's easiest to enter off of La Brea, and you pass the small parking lot (unless you see a spot there, grab it) and take the ramp on the right all the way up to the parking area. There are two elevators and the stairs are around the outside of the elevator banks. Once in, this is a rather rectangular narrow shape store, where you can pretty much go right (housewares, clothes, etc.) or left for the checkout areas, pharmacy, beauty items, and more etc. Food is kind of spanned in the middle areas. There might be two self-checkout areas but I'm not sure. I never ventured far enough to the guest services area since I never needed to pick up or return here. It is a smaller store in some ways compared to other locations, but so far they have had what I needed to so I can't complain. Parking is totally free, no ticket needs to be taken thank goodness. Glad we have 4 or 5 stores to choose from within x amount of miles, so if one doesn't have what you need, another is fairly close by... read more

This is a smaller but decent-sized Target. The problem is that it's a playground for the city's drug-addled vagrants. They shoplift on the regular. It's so bad that Target recently added locked plastic panels on several aisles. You can't even get deodorant without asking an employee to the lock the panel! I've seen at least a dozen shoplifters here. Just today as I was entering, two vagrants, each with a few Santa-sized bags over their shoulders filled to the limit, scampered out of the exit. At this rate, the store won't be here long until the $950 limit on theft is lowered and zero cash bail and our loser DA are gone. read more

Recently, this Target has started locking random items into glass cases on the shelves. What's the point of locking up 32 oz bottles of washing machine liquid, while small boxes of dryer sheets are unlocked on the facing shelf? For locked up items, you have to wave your hand under a sensor which doesn't work properly, then wait up to half an hour for a staff member to arrive and unlock the case. Nobody who works there seems to know why random things are locked up. Shopping for ten items presumably takes all day. I wouldn't mind if anyone could actually be bothered to show up and unlock the case, but as it is, the store is an exercise in frustration. Meanwhile, Ralphs is a block up the street, has a better selection, and doesn't do this. I will not shop at this Target again - even for things which are not locked up - until this stupidity is reversed, because I refuse to reward this sort of thing with any form of payment for anything. Whoever thought it up is clearly an idiot; perhaps Target will take note once their profits start to slip. read more

Employees have no customer service skills whatsoever. I passed at least 5 employees who did not even acknowledge me. The employee who rang up my purchase did not even place my bags in cart, he left them on the counter and didn't even ask if I needed help. My expectations are pretty low of service employees but the people employed here seem to lack even the most basic social skills. read more

I love Target and I am happy that this is here but it isn't one of my favorites. What this location is great for is the convenience. It's one of the smaller Targets that you go to merely to get your basic needs. It has ample parking with the meters on the street, the small parking lot on street level and the rest is on the second level roof level. Because it is a smaller Target, it doesn't have all the inventory like the one on Santa Monica and on La Cienaga. The store is clean and well organized. Be prepared to use self check out because as of right now, they are lean on staff. The staff that are working are friendly and helpful. Overall, this is the Target you go to for a quick and easy errand with no time spent for browsing. read more

Either way they were both fantastic because I had a $20 off coupon for some reason it wasn't applying, but they made sure that I got my discount even though it took many extra steps. Woo hoo who doesn't love Target?! I am only a few streets over from this location and love having it so close/within walking distance. This is definitely more of a city Target, so you won't find a huge selection of everything in every color/size, but it definitely covers you on all your basics. Aisles are well stocked and they even had all the paper products like paper towels and toilet paper + hand sanitizer when I went on the weekend. Once you walk in, they have a hand sanitizer station with gloves and masks too if in case you forget yours. Inside the aisles are decently spaced out and the staff is very helpful if you can't find anything. They also have a pharmacy which I'm happy about. For check out, they have self checkout which is nice and helps with limiting contact during the pandemic. Overall getting in and out is very easy and the rooftop parking on the top wasn't too crowded. Parking is also free which is a big plus in LA. There are also some limited parking spots on the ground level, with a majority reserved for handicap parking right next to a ramp and the side door. Happy to have this in the neighborhood! read more

If you don't have anyone that is ever available to answer the phones... Or actually help when you ask for it... And also you've got two or three employees working checkouts while 6 total self checkouts are left shut down during peak store hours... You know this store is too mismanaged to even begin to help. If target can't figure their shit out with one small store, that's just sad. Especially when this small store is complaining to customers that their innefecience is corporates fault - management admitting that these policies are anti consumer and hurt your customers - but in the same breath saying they don't care enough to fix it. If I blamed every problem my store had on our corporate, corporate would fire me. Great brand spanking new target location. This is their newer "city" style type store that is smaller in stature yet offers a quick in/out experience if that's what you're looking for. There will be less selection of items, but depending what you need, it may be perfect for your everyday needs. There is metered street parking if you choose, though they offer a free parking lot on the 2nd story. There is an entrance just past the store on LaBrea where you turn into what looks like a tiny lot of 10 spaces, then there is a ramp that leads you up to the real parking. If you enjoying browsing aisles and aisles of stuff and getting lost in target, this is not the place for you. If you want a quick stop for your shopping needs that can get you in & out quickly, you'll be very happy here. read more

Convenient location! Targets are popping up everywhere! There really should be minimal lines at each Target at this point. This was the case on the day that we went. No line! Hopefully it stays like that. This location has a good amount of parking surprisingly. There's a side lot with about 15 or so parking spots, half of which were handicap. There's a second floor if you continue up the ramp which has much more parking. Then there's an elevator to take you down to the store. The day we were there, only one elevator (out of 2) was working. The lay out of the store is interesting - everything seems elongated horizontally, with many aisles made very short, even for a city target. It seems that you can still find everything you need, but it gets hard at times to keep a distance from others this way. There are two areas to check out, one side near the door exiting to the parking lot and the other near the front. I only wish that there was a better way to go back up to the upstairs parking from check out. You'd have to double back if you pay at the side check out, and it just is cumbersome and too crowded near the front IMHO. Maybe it could help for the store to be set up in a way that leads customers towards an exit separate from where customers are entering. Not sure if it could work here. read more

I honestly love coming to target, but this trip just left a bad taste in my mouth. The lady monitoring the self checkout area was extremely rude. I had a cart that I no longer needed, I saw an area with MULTIPLE carts left. I assumed it was a place I could leave a cart I no longer needed. She aggressively to my spouse "that's not where you put carts" we apologized as we realized we were obviously were word. She immediately began to argue with us. As a person who works/ interacts with people on daily basis you would think when someone apologizes for their error you would be civil and just be understanding. Not combative. I don't know if she was having a bad day but people should be more aware of where they are and not be reactive. read more

In case anyone finds this helpful, there is no protected LEFT on La Brea onto the parking lot. Can technically only turn right onto the lot while heading South on La brea. Overall the store is clean. Workers seemed a bit jaded but weren't unfriendly. They were missing some of the specific items I came for but generally seemed well stocked. read more

But really this one is good, it's a medium sized Target so they don't have everything you need but they have most things. I like the layout and the parking is very convenient and easy. Stopped in to pick up some electronics for my nephews. Had no idea this location existed until I drove by. Ample parking on the rooftop and some parking when you enter. They had a staff member in that section that was super helpful. They can even check you out in the aisles which is super convenient. Nice clean and organized store. This store has NO employees. When you push the button for someone to come unlock merchandise, no one comes! When you ask one of the few employees in the store for help they tell you they only stock shelves. No wonder you have a theft problem. Just walk in select any item not locked up and walk out. Came in today was very excited to see the new target. I had helpful employee that help me choose my make up. Spend over $100 and my points was not captured. I went to customer service to see if they can help linked it in. They were so rude and did not what they were doing. They need customer service training.
