Meh, this is one of the older targets. I guess I am just spoiled by the newer, upgraded Targets that are constantly popping up around south Orange County. This one leaves something to be desired.nIt's right off the freeway and Alicia parkway so it is very conveniently located. It lacks a grocery department and a Starbucks but it carries typical target merchandise.. I would rather shop at the RSM location or the Irvine Spectrum just because they're bigger and nicer! :) read more

I'm giving this Target 3 stars because It's the one I've always gone to. I have been to other Targets which have been nicer and had a better selection, but for convenience, it's always this one. I have had no problems here, except for when picking up or dropping off photos. no one is ever at the counter to help, you have to wait, then finally if someone shows up at the guest services counter, you need to try and get their attention to help you. But regardless, I find everything I need here, and they usually aren't busy so checkout is quick. read more

Came in looking for a knife set ended up deciding to purchase a higher model but upon inspection of the box found that 4 of the 6 steak knives were missing from the box. Staff was helpful in looking for another similar item in store but they didn't have one. Ended up ordering it online with free shipping. read more

I came here to purchase a few things. I spent nearly 10 minutes wandering around the electronics department looking comma I could not find it what I was looking for. In that entire time there was not one single associate back there. Wandering around the store for another 5 minutes looking for an associate could not find anybody other than the cashiers up front. This review is for the PHARMACY. I called to have a prescription transferred to this pharmacy. The person who answered the phone in the pharmacy seemed clueless. First I asked her if they had the medication in stock, she said no. I asked if they had it in a lower dosage. I needed 80mg, she said she only had it in 20mg. I said that was fine, I'd simply take 4; but she didn't believe me so she had to check with the pharmacist to make sure. Yes, people... 20 times 4 makes 80! Then I asked her if she wanted the number to the pharmacy that already has my prescription. She said she had to check with the pharmacist again. She comes back and says that they will not call the other pharmacy to get the prescription. I called the pharmacy that has my prescription and confirmed that the requesting pharmacy has to call them. Even so, the other pharmacy tried to help me out so they called Target while I waited on the other line. Target said I wasn't their customer so they wouldn't accept the prescription. What's most ridiculous is that I called a different Target pharmacy right after and they took care of everything without a problem. So obviously, it wasn't policy or rules that kept this location from helping. It was simply stupidity and incompetence. read more

So I purchase ink for my computer. The shelf price indicates 25.99 so for some reason I check price on the pole price checker and it shows 28.99. I take the item to register and it is rung up 28.99. I tell the clerk and he says ok can you show me so we go back to the isle and he sees price of 25.99 and says yeah I can give you that price. Today on the news they indicate that Target is in a law suit because of over charging customers at the register and Target denies any wrongdoing. Well they are still at it. The customer service and employes are extremely rude and unhelpful and didn't want to help me with my transactions by making up excuses why they couldn't. And when I asked the manager he gave me a completely different answer which contradicted what the previous employees excuse was. Which made it obvious that they were just making it all up in the first place just so they didn't have to help and do their job for whatever's reason. I have shopped there before with no issues and made returns without problems or attitude. I have completed similar transactions there many times before. Just because your store is about to close and your shift is about to end that doesn't give you the right to completely ignore your customers request and treat them rudely! read more

The only reason I go here is because it is really close to work. The lines are always long, the mangers always frazzled, they are usually out of stock, and the associates, while hard working, seem frenzied and unhappy. So I go today and I see a Starbucks point of purchase display-buy 4 bags get a free $10 Target card. Yeah! But it doesn't award the card at the register so the clerk who has cold sores, is sick, and is holding onto a dirty hankie while bagging my groceries, yuck, starts leafing thru the weekly flyer. I tell her it is not in there, but on the shelves it is clearly promoted. I'd like to speak to her manager. So she runs over to the manager who already has like 3 other unhappy "guests" for whatever reason around her and comes back and says she can give me a $5 Card. No , I tell her it said $10. So she goes running back over and they bring me a $10 Starbucks card. Everyone in line (because they never have enough checkouts) is getting super annoyed so I just take it. When I go to look at the receipt, after I get back to the office, it says they charged me for the $10 card. I hate this store. read more

Target is one of the stores that I constantly have to go to, the staff is helpful. I don't like how they always have only a few lanes open even though it's full. But what I really wanted to yelp is the pharmacy at Target, I have been there only a few times and the staff is so welcoming. They are really on top of helping customers, they are so friendly and very helpful. I really want to thank Ricky who has helped me out the last few times at the pharmacy filling my husbands prescriptions. TERRIBLY SLOW Guest services... came in to order something but apparently all but one device was down and it was in use by an employee who just told me to wait a while before he could help. He called for back up and about three people came and went and couldn't even help us ring out. The service was okay until it was time for there to be some action and for them to do something. I was extremely patient in waiting 30+ minutes, nobody stepped in to do anything. I was told it's up to you to wait or you can go to another store to see if they have the item after I repeated myself 15 times saying they did not have any in stock at ANY store nor online but they so happened to be here. I ended up leaving at the 35 minute mark, the customer service in guest services was terrible. The employees here seem unhappy. Management should get involved, didn't see a single supervisor on the floor either. The little Hispanic boy in Guest services didn't even acknowledge us, his older female coworker had to speak to him then speak to us to speak on his behalf.. super ANNOYING visit. read more

I came in this morning, I was paying for my stuff and i wanted to use my gift card and a merchandise return card and a lady senior cashier said to me that I cant use my gift cards because I only have the app target with my credit card details on my phone and according to her i needed my target red card so I can swipe the gift cards. I was just in shocked that I never had to do this before and i have used gift cards. I should have got the manager or someone else. Clearly she doesn't know what she was doing or she's just plain lazy to scan my gift cards. I cant stand lazy people. read more

This is a smallish Target, but it's conveniently right off the freeway. I use the cartwheel app and the RED debit card to save 5% on purchases. I can usually find the things I need. The employees are friendly and helpful. Big parking lot a plus. They have a Starbucks, but I wish they didn't get rid of the cafe. read more

This is my preferred Target store. It's conveniently located right off the freeway, the shelves are well stocked, and the customer service is always impressive. I've had an occasional issue with a coupon or discount and the team there has always come through to honor whatever offer it was I brought to their attention. They always do their best to keep the lines short and open up additional registers once things start bottling up. I'm able to get in, get what I need, and get out. After the remodel, this Target was great! I noticed some changes in the last month or so, for example; there is no more hand baskets by the beauty or grocery areas, they are on the other side of the store, many prices in grocery are wrong, most of the time the Market Pantry frozen vegetables are out or not stocked. read more

My wife is a good steward of the environment, and thrifty. We go through a lot of bottled water. She keeps all the bottles and carefully places them into bags of 100 bottles each. Last time she went to Target, they took her bags and gave her the money the bottles are worth here in California. This time, we brought in five bags (of 100 bottles each) to the same Target. The lady behind the counter told us we would need to get more carts to 'count them into' since we would apparently have to count each bottle one by one in front of her. Ok, so we got more carts. I started ripping into the bags and dumping them into the carts. (200 bottles fill a cart just to overflowing. Good to know, I suppose.) Anyway, just as I finished the third bag, she informed me that I should be careful not to destroy the bags, as she would need me to return them one-by-one back into the bags as I counted them in front of her. I told her to have a good night and we left. She never said please or thank you or I'm sorry or Mrs. or Sir or any of the other popular 'nice phrases' you might expect from someone at the 'customer service' desk. She was dismissive and arrogant ("This has been the policy for the past 8 months!") and didn't think to offer any solutions like "Perhaps you and your wife can browse the store while I count these up?" that could have not only made us have a positive experience, but brought Target more revenue. I've spent thousands of dollars at this Target in the past six months (we just had a baby five months ago) and I don't dress like someone trying to make off with a few dollars of Target's money. I guess maybe the Target position would be that they believe their customers don't really don't care about good service? read more

This pharmacy is poorly organized. When I moved recently, I switched to this pharmacy. I have a set of medicines I get here every month. It should be simple and routine, but every month this Target pharmacy errs, and I have to make multiple trips to get my prescriptions or to answer calls for medicines I did not order. Target's Cartwheel program for savings via their app is turning out to be a scam. For a couple of weeks I have tried to navigate the multiple layers of features to create an organized plan for savings. Each week I am met by untrained customer service, cashiers and managers who each have a different idea of how the app works. By now, I have figured out how to get my items into the app, but I'm not sure where the items are supposed to go; into the cart, into the wallet, into my list, or not anywhere at all because the discount is taken without any scanning on my part. If I don't do it correctly, and if the cashier is more clueless than I am, then Target does not have to sell the item at a reduced price, this scamming the shopper. More training is needed. Shopped around and thought Target had the best deal on a child car seat, so, made my purchase online at Target. Before I picked it up I was comparing the seat's specifications to the manufacturer's website and the manufacturer's online store had it for $20 cheaper, with free shipping! Called Target to see if they would price match the manufacturer's online store price. Unfortunately the manager said that Target will not price match anything during this Thanksgiving holiday. Asked where that was disclosed, as everything I had read said they would price match. The manager just said it was disclosed online. Had to look on their corporate site, then the bottom line of the exclusions to their policy and, "Price matches and adjustments to competitors will not be allowed for prices from Thanksgiving Day through the entire week after Thanksgiving. (11/23/2017 - 12/2/2017)." Guess Target just won't compete during the holidays like Walmart will. Still, it was easy to cancel my online order with Target and then buy directly from the manufacturer as they had it in stock. read more

This review is more of the target employee than target store itself. I went to a self check out register as I only had a couple of things thinking it'll be quicker. But a thing didn't come up right and I had to wait for assistance. This employee (John) saw us waiting for help but instead of helping or calling someone else to help us, he totally ignored and kept taking customers in his line who came after us. I even asked him a couple of times if there was anyone else who can help or if he can page someone. We waited there for a while but no help arrived. He was full of bad attitude and no willingness to help out. After waiting with no help, I canceled the transaction and went to the check out register(one of the two which had light on meaning they were open) and this same guy instead of helping, rudely tells us that the register just closed and he can't check us out and we'll have to go to a different one and again wait in the line. Are you kidding me?? I had to complain about this to the manager because I saw one more guy suffer the same. Hope some action is taken. Very disappointing. Bad bad bad customer service!! read more

This Target is the old one, as other reviewers have noted. The new one is nearby on Jeronimo and I probably should have gone there this morning. I get that Target wants you to take their red card, I understand they're competing with Amazon but when customers say they don't want your credit card, please cashiers, BELIEVE them. The woman in line in front of was badgered to the point that she just took her receipt and fled. The cashier asked her in various ways no less than 6 times! She only had a few items. Meanwhile, the line behind us was growing longer. Are Target cashiers given a bonus for every signup or was the cashier practicing his sales tactics? All I know is I was dreading DREADING my turn in line. So the cashier lobs his line at me even though I have half a dozen items and see the exit--and freedom--a few feet away. "Do you have the card?" No, I say, and politely add that I'm not interested. Undeterred, he continues: "Would you LIKE the card?" No, I say again, a bit more forcefully. I like my travel card, I get points, unlimited blackout dates and all that. "Well, he says, do you get FREE shipping?" Are you serious right now, buddy? Are you kidding me? The WHOLE WORLD gets Amazon Prime. EVERYONE gets free shipping. I could order stuff while I'm in your store in his hideous line and guess what? It'll be WAITING for me by the time I get home! I tell him bluntly--I don't want your offer. And just like that, it's over and I'm outside in the fresh air and glad to be out of there. What is it, Target on Alicia? Is it because we were women and you don't think no really means NO? Why can't you just accept the "no" ONCE and let us all get the hell out of your store? Is this is what the future looks like Target on Alicia Parkway: retail cashiers trying to sell you financial products like tellers in banks? I say run. Be like that lady and like me and just run. There is a reason I go out of my way NOT to shop at this Target. Aside from the lack of inventory the customer service is more than lacking and not just from seasonal employees, which I tend to overlook but, the sub par customer service starts from the top with management. My trips and I say trips, plural, this week to Target landed me to my least favorite Target off Alicia, on two occasions this week both Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, totaling almost $200.00. I normally shop at the Target off Jeronimo even though it is out of my way for many reasons, the larger inventory, groceries, and the great customer service. The cashier always seem knowledgeable, friendly, fast and courteous. My shopping trip on Tuesday evening was uneventful, however my shopping trip on Wednesday could have been much more pleasant. On my way to Target I had spoken to a friend who was also on her way to Target however she was on her way to the RSM Target and I had mentioned that I received a email from Target and I would forward it to her regarding spending $50.00 and receiving a $10.00 gift card. Since we both knew we would spend at least that we would see if that would apply to our shopping trip. After purchasing a stroller, booster car seat and other knick knacks I went in line and asked the cashier if your printers still allowed target coupon printing, since at one time some targets allowed that. She had no idea what I was talking about and said a coupon would automatically print when I purchased $50.00 for my $10.00 gift card. Since I realized she had no idea what I was talking about I headed to guest services, however on my way there the manger was having a "team meeting" right in the middle of the front of the store, which I found a bit odd, loud and inappropriate which lead me to write this review since she loudly mentioned she reads 'yelp' reviews. When I headed to guest services she was so preoccupied with the meeting it took her a bit to notice me but when she did, she too had no idea what I meant and when I asked her about digital coupons, she again wasn't sure. So, I headed to a register and the cashier, bless her heart was the first helpful and pleasant employee I came across, called the manager who was no help. My son who at the time decided to have a melt down (mind you is under two and is now irritated because we have scoured the store asking questions), she has no idea about the coupon, can't help me unless I have a bar code, and wants my kid to stop pulling at her machine. Meanwhile at the RSM Target...my friend has received FABULOUS customer service...if they are unable to help her with keying in some code she is able to come back with the coupon and her receipt and they will be happy to help her, is what I hear her tell me on the phone when I hear her check out... Needless to say I wont be heading back to that Target. I will definitely drive out of my way and make sure my friends, MOPS group and Moms Group of MV drive out of their ways. Moms with kiddos deserve extra great and helpful customer service, our days aren't always easy when our kids are having a melt down. The only smile and have a great day I received from that Target was from the solicitor outside the Target! Ain't that a shame? read more

What is going on with the after Christmas merchandise? Went to the store tonight and the reduced-price merchandise is stacked in boxes. Can't get to most of it especially the bottom boxes. I've gone to this target ever since I was little and have always been happy with the service, safety and accessibility of all their products. Although I am very happy with their overall performance I must address a recent change to target that has been concerning me. The self checkout area of target that is meant for people to check out their own items quickly if there is a line on all the employee run checkouts or if the customer has a private item they would be more comfortable checking out themselves. That self checkout area is now being supervised by an employee who will come to every self checkout stand and help you even if you haven't asked for such aid. This is a problem because the reason why I and many other shoppers prefer using self checkout is because they do not want an employee scanning their items, therefore asking for privacy. The main objective of many self checkout customers is being lost due to the recent employee assigned to this area. My personal experiences started when I had to purchase an item that I would prefer not to be seen by an employee. That is why I went to self checkout in the first place. Sadly I was greeted by a male worker who came and helped me with my purchase by scanning and purchasing my item even though I know quite well how to operate a scanner as do many shoppers and oddly I never asked for help in the first place. He came, looked at my item, scanned it, pressed the buttons for me, and put the item in my bag, then gave the bag to me. This can be related to a customer service stand. It's convenient when you need it but not when you don't and ends up giving the customer an annoying and unhappy experience when they didn't ask for it. I urge target to reassign those self checkout employees because they are not making target shoppers feel comfortable about their purchase. I would even be okay if they just stayed supervising instead of running to help every self checkout customer. I hope this review will help to change the way self checkout functions.
