I use to love shopping there. But now. It is just not enjoyable. Self check out sucks every time I have to wait for help, so not fun. And I'm starting to think they purposely have there checkers move very slow. So not fun. One time the checker was folding a pile of baby clothes as if they were being put in a drawer not a bag. I had to wait for that, while they were in deal conversation. Today the girl was chatting for for ever, then she started ringing up her stuff. Then she called for help. Today in Customer Services, the nicest person, "Christine" helped me order an electric blanket. She went out of her way to assist me & answer all of my questions. Her positive attitude started my day off on a great note. I inadvertently gave her the wrong email address so now I have to return to the store to get my receipt. Talked to Victor one of the managers. Walking around the store. Stoped to talk to customer. This store is customer service oriented. Store is immaculate for a retail store. There is friendly staff on the floor. I have been greeted by three associates while walking around. This target is a destination. Store isles are wide and the floors clean The good area is well organized, they have everything, but it is not fully stocked. Talked to associate. Just got truck last night. A lot of stuff to but out. There are four associates stocked. So it is going fast. I have not found a item not priced. That is amazing in a store this size. Again this store is more of a comfortable shopping destination. Makes Walmart look so outdated and dirty. This is the store Four registers open so just one it two people in line. Went to Target for two things left with $400 and got treated like a bad guy... So we mostly use reusable diapers. But bed time we use disposable. They had a deal spend $100 on diapers get a $20 gift card. So we bought enough for that. Plus a bunch of other stuff. At the check out I asked about the $20 gift card and the guy assured me we'd get it. I had an old gift card in my wallet and asked if it had anything on it. It did not so I said throw it away and then paid. He hands me my receipt. So I ask about the gift card for $20 from the diapers. He says I gave it to you but you can't use it till your next transaction. I said no you didn't give it to me... he assured me he did. He did not. So then someone else comes over and says oh you can't use it till the next transaction. I said yes that makes sense but he never gave me the card....so then TWO more people come over and look over my receipt. I say "let me start from the beginning" and explained the whole thing about the empty gift card I came in with that he threw away but never gave me a new one with $20. So they dig the old out of the trash and come back to tell me it's empty. To which I say I KNOW and tell the story again. Finally they take me to guest services and fiddle around and then hand me $20 cash....like WTF I just spent $400 I'm not trying to rip you off for $20 which they clearly still think is the case since they just gave me cash and not the gift card. I know I didn't do anything wrong but it super makes me mad that they all think I just ripped them off for $20 stupid dollars. I'm happy with the products I bought. I tried price matching my purchases from Target.com, but they would not allow me to because of an apparent 3 limit policy DESPITE corporate policy saying otherwise. They care more about their profit margins than customer satisfaction. It just baffles my mind that they would limit the number of price matches from their own website. Customer service is horrible... I went in today to get some stuff. And got Motrin for my son.. Their was 2-3 rows of them and it said $3.99 before I left the store I checked my receipt and it was $7.89 I went to customer service to return it and tell them the situation and Raquel the cashier could have careless. I took a picture of the Motrin in front of the wrong price tag to show them and she said I just need your card to refund your money. Beyond rude. Didn't even say a word. After an extremely slow checkout process at the end of the night, two cashiers open 30 minutes before close. It took nearly 20 minutes to leave. The Target promotion I expected to see honored in my receipt was not honored by the crewmember at the register. I was told I now have to go to guest services. Where the employees exacerbated the situation by using devices that did not display any promotion when in fact it was all over the store. Because the store manager Aiden didn't understand that his own store had a promo running as a rebate on all household products and was not trained properly on using in store devices the process dragged on several minutes. That's when I begged them to stop dragging out this process and simply give me the basic $15 refund that's promised on all of the Target advertising for the week. Including displays on shelves throughout the store. I said "this is f'ing ridiculous" and almost instantly, trainer Angel got in my face demanding that I calm down and threatening that I will have to leave the store if I don't change my tone. He stated that I was not allowed to use profanity in their store. This guy was a true piece of work. All he did was escalate an already frustrated customer service experience by attacking the employee for expressing their frustration. With a SH*T EATING GRIN on his face, ANGEL, the MVP for customer fails, waved over security staff. Mind you this was over the question of a promotion was not honored on my receipt. This man was out of control. Using his badge an outlet for his personal frustrations or biases. Miserable time here and Angel made it so much worse. Unbelievably poor way to treat your customers. I'm not sure if this was about gender or race, but Angel is a hateful little boy. I'm going to start off by saying that I was very disappointed in the beginning.... I had purchased a Samsung BlueRay player online. There were very few in stock so had to pickup from North Hollywood location. Came to store to pickup.... never arrived or lost. Made another attempt after receiving email notification again...But this time I called. Roy/GSA answered my call. He searched and searched.... nothing. Long story short... Roy and only Roy made it right. He went above and beyond. I had to settle with another unit but it was comparable to what I wanted. Outstanding customer service by Roy. The guy deserves a raise for his attention to providing great service. If he owned his own business, I would only buy from him. Thank you Roy!! read more

Okay, I don't like leaving 1-star reviews. I've found that they can be the result of a knee-jerk, unchecked emotional reaction from a person who wanted to hurt a business. But this ...well... I've sat on the nature of this review for years. It still holds true as an, "Eek! Methinks not," response (eg: the 1-star Yelp caption). So lets go. This is my local Target, 3 minutes away from home. It's the most convenient for me, with the runner up being the newer mini Target on Hollywood Way. Ten years ago, this Target used to be the best place to visit for everything one-stop-shop. I'd see lots of people I knew there also shopping. The organization was perfect, and it was just fun shopping experience all-around. These days, I feel like I've entered an establishment that's going-out-of-business or just a neglected store. All over you'll see wide open empty spaces in shelves, with out-of-stock product. The dairy cooler looked to be about 20% stocked. The meats were also frighteningly scarce. The produce section was also very picked over. Moving onto the pet section, it appeared to be also pretty empty. Something is severely wrong when they can't seem to stock their shelves for whatever reason. And what they did have was old. But wait... there's more! After I was done picking up product from the grocery & pet sections, I decided to look at some home products to price them against other retailers I've been shopping. Not only was Target's prices more, but in many cases more expensive than retail. Off the top of my head, I can think of SodaStream products (I got a SodaStream Source for Christmas). So I was looking at add-ons and essentials. I already know the prices of Target's competitors, so I took a peek to see what they had. I was shocked to see SodaStream products priced above retail. Amazon had them for far less. Even worse, Bed Bath & Beyond was cheaper. Let that sink in... Bed. Bath. Beyond. Cheaper. As I was heading for the checkout line, my 2yo son started crying suddenly. I was confused as he was holding his finger saying, "ouch." I looked around to see what happened and couldn't figure out what hurt him, although his finger was clearly scratched/scraped. Then he started meddling with a crack in the shopping cart to the left side of the child seat. I was alarmed as the plastic cart was pliable enough for a child to push and trap their finger in. And that cracked plastic gets sharp. My son then motioned to wedge his finger back in, immediately saying "ouch," without seeing it through. I looked to the opposite side of the cart and saw the same crack. So I'm about 99% certain that's what he did - put his finger in a Target neglected hazard. On my way out, I noticed a lot of other damaged carts in the same place. It's definitely a design flaw by whoever designed Target's shopping carts. To their credit, Target corporate seems to have solved the issue with a bracket, as seen on a good handful of shopping carts. But this is just bad since this Target's management needs to get this done on all carts. When I got home, I noticed the produce I purchased was either turning brown or growing mold. While it could've been found cheaper elsewhere, it wasn't expensive in the grand scheme of things so I didn't worry about bringing it back and had my wife stop off at Smart & Final to replace it. But it's a lesson for me to stop shopping at this Target. Their food section is just bad, let alone prices (even with the Red Card, that I have). As much as it pains me to say it, Walmart's food section is better leaving it to be the better one-stop-shop for me and my family and is much cheaper. Maybe it's just this Target. I don't know. I haven't been back to the Empire Center location much since they remodeled years ago. So I don't know the state of things there to help me paint a better picture of Target as a whole. But this Target makes it feel like they're on the brink of suffering the same decline K-Mart did. It breaks my heart seeing it happen, but I guess that's the nature of things in the world. read more

I always forget how well run targets are. They have a billion things in clearance, a billion check out stands. Which I think is very important considering we are all in a rush to go absolutely nowhere these days. They have so many options an every department if your shopping for a deal. But I noticed target has really stepped up their home decor department! I think I walked in and loved everything I laid my eyes on!!! And it was AAALLLLLLL on clearance! Too bad I have to even give this location 1 star. They are unable to get their act together for pickup orders. I placed an order on Sunday, received my email confirmation that complete order was available for pickup at 3:30 pm Sunday afternoon. Drove to the store on Monday at noon to pick up my order only to discover that 2 of the previously confirmed items had been cancelled Monday at 12:24 pm after I had arrived to the pickup spot. This is NOT brain surgery. This is the second time there have been problems over a pickup order at this location. read more

So today i was at Target and got Starbucks. I asked the workers there where is your TIP jar and i was informed that since they work in target they are not allowed to get tips. What the hell kinda rule is this? These people work in an industry where the tips help out alot i should know i worked in the fast food industry for over 10 years. Weights & Measures where r u?!? I bought $200 worth of groceries & 50% of it was all the wrong pricing. Even after I walked the team member the the aisle to show him that an entire wall and entire aisle had the wrong promo signing, the manager said I can only get a $5 discount. Its annoying when I waited in line for a long time and what I thought I was buying as a budget conscious consumer, is not correct. I am a big Target fan. And maybe this wasn't the right time to visit this location as they are in the middle of renovating. But the place was a mess. I needed to return some items I'd purchased at another Target and the customer service desk was staffed by one person. She was as efficient as possible but there was a long line and she needed help. None was forthcoming. Because of the renovation in progress, departments are tossed together and it's really hard to find things if you're looking for something specific. I found the whole place so messy I didn't even bother shopping longer than a few minutes. This may be the first time in my life I've left the Target without buying something. The ppl whining about other ppl not wearing masks and target not enforcing them: stay home and stop shopping at Target. One less whack job to worry about. The people here following me around the store often. I am tired of it. They children at self check out refused for the second day in a row to take the sensor off the merchandis. Like Im going to steal a $7 pair of legging. Do better. The day before the same boy said "you have to pay first as if I can remove the item after it's rang up. Then, he leaves the area. I'm standing there searching for an employee to take the sensors off the clothes. A different employee I can take it off. Guess what happen next! I get home and my pants still had a sensor. The next day the same bo from the day before refuse to even n take the clothes out out my hands and after I rang up and items. "I will do it after" So, I left everything there. This Target seems like a nice store as far as shopping is considered. But the HR department is SHIT! I was already apprehensive about applying to a Target because employees always look like they hate their job. But you know when in quarantine you gotta start making money. But at this point, I will never lower my standards for a company with such a horrible internal work culture again. The entire HR office in addition to their corporate extension all make habit out of lying to their prospective employees and giving them the run around instead of treating them with respect and dignity. They wasted my time and lost out on a potential phenomenal addition to their team by exposing themselves as being careless and unprofessional. They couldn't even keep their lies straight. Don't use the drive up service unless you're willing to get out of your car to ensure your entire order is there. Which defeats the purpose of ordering drive up. They will leave at least one item out. Your only option will be to call the number in your app and get a refund. They will not bring forgotten items out to you after you've driven away. You'll have to order and wait all over again. read more

This store has zero organization, which makes it impossible to shop. The clothing racks appear to just be a random place to hang clothes with no attention to putting like styles, brands, and sizes together. The frozen food shelves appear to be a random assortment of things that need to be frozen, and their redrigerated section appears to be a random assortment of foods that need to be chilled. I imagine if this store was organized, sales would increase. It doesn't appear that management is interested in that. If I were someone from the corporate office I would immediately look to review the performance of this store and how it could be improved by following at least a minimum standard of employee organization of product and the inability of management to uphold those standards. read more

Patiently waited At drive up for an hour and nothing. Other cars who came after me, left before me. I went inside to inquire and the guy at the front said " I don't know, there's a line." Went back to my car and Finally, flagged down an employee who was very kind and said she would check for me but never did , poor thing, she seemed really stressed out. Literally was there to pick up 4 things, did drive up thinking that it would be faster and that I would be following social distancing recommendations better this way. Honestly, target needs a better system to track this. Waited for more than 2 hours for 4 things. Other people who arrived after me got their stuff way before me. One person got 3 bags full of stuff. Target, this is unacceptable... do not tell your customers that something is ready for pick up when physically, your workers are unable to bring them out.. target, pls come up with a better system because it really is unfair...it should be a first come, first serve at least..if you can't bring it out , pls tell us it's not ready.. finally tracked down another employee and he said after a certain amount Of time of waiting, we get kicked out of their system , but the app doesn't tell us this.. it still said "sorry for the wait". So I had to recheck in again and wait again ... not employees' fault but the systems'.. pls fix this.. very frustrating when you've waited 2 hours, only for them to tell you , I'm not showing up in the system.. basically, got punished for waiting for "too long " that's why system kicked me out.. pls fix the app.. thank you to the employee who finally helped me out.. read more

Extra points for the Starbucks inside! Target is like every store you can think of put into one. I love to go for my weekly target trips but I need to be careful because it's easy to fill up my cart! This particular Target has remolded and looks new, but it still does not carry a large food/produce section like some of the other newly remolded Targets. The merchandise is usually stocked well and are easy to find. The employees at this particular Target are not so friendly/helpful. Thank & ENJOY! read more

My target of choice only beacuse I live close by. I would rather choose the target at burbank, im too lazy to go so far. This target is a magnet for rude people. Everyone is always so pushy and all up in your face and is always so darn packed. Little kids running around everywhere is practically a zoo here. People please control your kids. The lines to pay are always packed and it can take up half an hour to pay for your stuff. Only about 3 to 4 registers are opened at a time. Forget about the express line, is never opened and when it is everyone uses it anyways is very poorly managed. The customer service line is just as bad but if your going to pay a bill and are buying stuff you can pay for it here at so that's good. I always choose to pay at the electronic section, you dont need to buy electronic items to pay there most people think you do but you dont. I prefer people think they do that way I can pay for my items a lot quicker. Selfish I know but is that bad to pay for your merchandise here. The quicker I can get out the better. On the bright side target has cheap stuff and good deals. I always buy my dvds and blue rays here. Getting a target card is also a plus as you can get I believe 5 percent off your total purchase. Money saved is always good even if is just a few cents. A big negative comment I have is that they always try to push me to get a target visa card and when ever I do I get a letter from corparation saying the visa card has been discontinued. When I bring this up to them at this store they proceed to tell me is a lie. Really? That's just horrible. Seems like they don't follow through with corporation. Oh well as long as I live close to this target then I will keep coming back unfortunately. read more

This is my local target. Its actually a great Target i love coming here. They recently put in a bigger food section. They have a good size electronic section. The sport section i wish was a little bigger and had a wider selection of products but hey its a target. They also have a starbucks in this target which is nice. The one thing they need to do is have more lanes open during the day. Almost everytime i walk into this place they only have about 3 lines open and they are all backed up. So what i usually do is go bug the electronics line. This target is not bad but i would prefer the burbank target. read more

I go to this target all the time. They have always met my needs just fine. Its an automatic "go to" when we have a kids birthday party to attend. With two little ones that's like every single weekend. There's a great selection, we never have been let down the gift area. But we go to 99cent store for wrapping or gift bags. This lot is busy, parking is a challenge sometimes. Theres a starbucks inside as well as a fast food place. Its changed a few times so, ill leave it at that. They have everything here I'd find in any other target. All in all, its a good store. This is a clean store, even the bathrooms for the most part. The only down side is that it is near impossible to find a worker on the floor if you're looking for anything specific or have a question. And many times they don't have the answer or are misinformed. Its a big store maybe thats asking too much. I've had to return things here a few times and its never been an issue. read more
