Avoid at all costs!!!! Everything is always out of stock, rude workers and longest costumer service line! Don't waste your time!

I purchased new frame-less eyeglasses here back in the Summer of 2014 and had a terrific experience…read morebecause of the extremely capable assistance I received in making that purchase from Christina Parrelli. Fast forward to two weeks ago. Over the course of time, I had managed to scratch the lenses and lastly I had broken one of the arms which had detached from the lens. i stopped by the shop and told my tale of woe to Ethel who assured me that they could order the broken part and that my lenses had a 2-year guarantee so she would also order new lenses to replace the scratched ones. But that's not the best part of my experience. Due to my work schedule it's difficult to get to their place of business during regular hours. So their technician, Garrett, offered to stay after closing to align and grind the new lenses and fix the broken arm. He spent the better part of 90-minutes after closing to insure that the grinding, polishing and aligning of the frame and glasses were a perfect fit for me. That's extraordinary customer service and deserves to be lauded. Let me not forget to mention Jonathan Parrelli who entertained me with conversation while I waited. This is truly one great place to shop for eyeware.

I flunked my first contact application appointment and I booked a second appointment for contacts at 3:30 hesitantly, explaining I wouldn't be able to arrive until 3:40. I was assured this would be fine. I arrived at 3:40 and went into the doctors' office around 4:10/4:20. I had practiced beforehand and was able to put the contacts in (hooray!). I had an unexpectedly really hard time getting the contacts out though. After trying for a while and asking for help, my doctor Amanda Gannon told me she "didn't know what to tell me" and that if I couldn't get them out by myself or with assistance that I would have to go to the ER and have them surgically removed and that MyEyeDoctor was closing in 10 minutes. She kept telling me that I had to get the contacts out and that they were closing until I started crying. She kindly told me she would wait until I could get them off and after the pressure was taken off, I was able to take out the contacts. She told me I had "gotten myself worked up" and that I would most likely be able to put contacts in at home. I was surprised to see that I left exactly at 5, which is when MyEyeDoctor closes. I can't imagine how hard these eye doctors are working and how much they want to get home, but this is one of those experiences in healthcare that will stick with me. I appreciate the doctor giving me some extra time, but I really feel like this whole thing could have been avoided with different scheduling or with my doctor easing up when she realized I was struggling with the contacts. I did wind up getting them out in time for closing, but I was really scared and upset. Lovely front of desk people, nurses, and doctors, and I've had very positive experiences with my glasses, so perhaps this was just a bad day.

I need them desperately to see. Ordering glasses at most places would take days to come in. Teaches me a lesson not to have a back up pair around. So on a whim I found The Eye Place. First off, on Shelles The Eye Place website, I really liked what she had to say about herself, her background, and how she runs her business. As a person that has spent many years in sales, I believe in transparency and not being pushy with the customer. Shellee has those same values. Transparently speaking I just went in there to see if she had any ideas on how I could maybe fix them. She's quite lovely in person. She knows what she's talking about and treats you like your family. I felt like I had known her for years, the way that we talked. When I finally pulled out my glasses to show her what had happened, she didn't even miss a beat. She found a similar frame and popped out the lenses on my broken pair of glasses and put them in the new frames. The new frames are at a great price point. She made little adjustments on the glasses to ensure they fit my face properly. The transaction was smooth and seamless. I love my new glasses. Shellee has a wonderful selection of glasses to fit any face and designs to fit anyone's unique style. You can tell by the way Shellee interacts with you that she loves what she does and she ensures that her customers leave with a smile on their face and the perfect eyeglass frames. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful Optician that takes pride in their work and delivers high quality care.
