Had an eye exam a couple months ago in which I called to see if my insurance covered it. I was told…read morethat it did therefore I decided to go forward with my exam. I pay my balance after the exam. Today I get a call from them saying that I had a remaining balance on my account even though I was told my insurance covered my exam. They also offered me to buy contact lenses for them for a much higher price than you can find on a website such as 1800contacts.com. Never going back there again as they were dishonest about my insurance coverage and didn't admit their mistake over the phone.

During the booking process, I completed all necessary paperwork, including submitting images of both my medical and vision insurance cards. Vision North lists United as an in-network provider on their website. After scheduling, I received multiple texts emphasizing their strict 24-hour cancellation policy and warning that unconfirmed appointments would be canceled. I confirmed my appointment several times. Then, on the morning of my appointment, I received a text at 7:23 AM informing me that my appointment had been canceled because Dr. Miller was unavailable--just three hours before I was supposed to be seen. Given their rigid policies, this was frustrating. At 8:13 AM, I received a call from the office offering me a later appointment at 11:00 AM with a different doctor. I rearranged my work schedule again to accommodate. Upon arrival, I checked in and was asked to wait. Shortly after, I was informed that my insurance was actually out of network and that I would be responsible for the full cost of the visit. At this point, it was clear that this office is completely disorganized and unprofessional so I left. In a city like Boston--home to some of the best healthcare in the world--this level of incompetence is inexcusable. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Vision North.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Price of glasses was reasonable for the high level of choices. Was surprised to find Coach, Maui Jim and Rayban all at Target. But almost did not go due to bad review of Doctor. Called and found out there was new Doctor. I was able to get appointment very quickly. Dr Liu is patient and professional and took time to explain my prescription and what I needed. She is Fantastic! I will be recommending her to my friends. read more

I was not told beforehand that the follow up was going to be almost 3 times what the initial visit was. We will never be back. If you do decide to go there you better ask the cost beforehand.

Over the course of time, I had managed to scratch the lenses and lastly I had broken one of the arms which had detached from the lens. i stopped by the shop and told my tale of woe to Ethel who assured me that they could order the broken part and that my lenses had a 2-year guarantee so she would also order new lenses to replace the scratched ones. But that's not the best part of my experience. Due to my work schedule it's difficult to get to their place of business during regular hours. So their technician, Garrett, offered to stay after closing to align and grind the new lenses and fix the broken arm. He spent the better part of 90-minutes after closing to insure that the grinding, polishing and aligning of the frame and glasses were a perfect fit for me. That's extraordinary customer service and deserves to be lauded. Let me not forget to mention Jonathan Parrelli who entertained me with conversation while I waited. This is truly one great place to shop for eyeware.
