If I could give zero stars I would. Chose this location because this is what my insurance covered in my area. They couldn't verify my insurance firstly. Then when I went in to see the doctor all he did was Mumble to the point where I repeatedly had to ask him what he was saying. Then while we were fitting for different lenses in the test glasses kept asking if my vision was blurry and it was so I was saying yes it's blurry. We went through literally every lens in his drawer and when I told him it was still blurry he got mad at me and told me it was because I've never worn glasses before. I never have but what I was seeing was still blurry. Tried to pressure me into getting multiple types of glasses when all I needed was for reading. Then when I went out and told the counter guy that I couldn't understand the doctor, the counter guy immediately got defensive handed me my paperwork and said maybe I should come back at a different time. I will never come back again and I will never recommend anyone come here. Total bozos running this place while the machinery seemed dirty and kept fogging up while I was being tested, which also aggravated the doctor. Then he wiped the lenses with some towel and it just made the smudges even worse. Total waste of my afternoon and time. Do not go here. All I needed was a quick contact lens exam to renew my prescription so I can purchase contacts. What I got instead is a month long eye infection that required antibiotics to resolve. The office does not seem clean, the equipment looks like its been sitting there collecting dust for ages. The doctor is unprofessional, there is a hidden "contact fitting fee," which the doctor charges for separately in his office, and not at the front desk with all the other billing. I've never had a place charge a fitting fee and state that "I can't give you prescription without fitting." After learning that I have insurance and that the exam is fully covered by my insurance, the fee amount randomly changed, which again, the doctor made up on the spot. read more

They are never open. Their hours are inconsistent, and they don't pick up the phone with a full voicemail as always.

I would not recommend this place. If you do need to go, double and triple check how much you are being charged, they attempted to charge me twice for an exam that should be free. The exam is rushed, equipment was not working. I will not be back. read more

This is an overdue review. Neal assisted me with my glasses over the summer and I was overly impressed. Unfortunately I was the unwanted customer the hour before closing. He was assisting another client before was able to get to me. He never once rushed which I commend him for. Once he got to me and completed my order, it was half past closing. I've never met a better optician until I met Neal. He was very thorough and also informative. He sold me on two pairs of glasses, but only because he truly believed it was a great sale. He definitely has his customers best interest in mind. He is great at his job and certainly seems to love it. I would highly recommend Neal if you're looking for a new pair of glasses! read more

I would never use Target for an optical eye exam. My wife Ritika Vyas visited Ying Liu at Everett, MA Store, she provided an incorrect prescription for eye and I have to return my glasses at Target store. The doctor is unprofessional and was not willing to resolve the concerns. The eye exam just lasted for 5-10 mins and it was not a comprehensive exam. I didn't realize that the doctor is not even in my Cigna insurance network. I contacted Target optical and they were also unable to help. read more

This review is a reflection on Dr. Anoiske only. I have been to this location multiple times over the last few years and dealt with the front desk associate, Chris, and he has always been fantastic. I had a scheduled eye exam with Dr. Anoiske today, however, and she was anything but. I came in for a routine eye exam. Upon filling in my information, I went into her office for the exam at which point she told me, from a cursory glance at my card, that my plan "does not cover routine exams." I told her this was not the case and that I have had a routine exam under this insurance, including one visit to this very office, in each of the last two calendar years. This is to say nothing of the fact that I had confirmed my insurance was accepted with them when scheduling the appointment and that I had confirmed my appointment would be held after realizing I would be about 15 minutes late. She condescendingly stuck to her stance, calling the insurance to confirm (Mind you, this was a holiday, so they were closed), initially fumbling with her phone which was unplugged for who knows what reason. Upon meeting with failure to confirm one way or the other, she told me she was "100% certain that my plan didn't cover routine vision, it's medical only." She in turn refused to see me. I work in health insurance, something she could readily see from my registration. Most medical plans have a routine vision benefit. Her demeanor was inpatient, condescending and rude, to say nothing about her apparent clerical incompetence. For the record, I reviewed my benefits online upon returning home and lo and behold, I'm covered at 100% for a routine vision exam once per calendar year. I am infuriated to have wasted so much of my time on this matter and will be taking my business elsewhere for my exam. I will still likely order replacement lenses through Chris, (Assuming I can confirm that Dr. Anoiske will not see a dime of my order) but I will not be considering Target Optical for my vision exam in the future. read more

Im a HUGE fan of Target Optical. Neil is super friendly and he is so educated. He is on point with any questions. He has so much patience and he gives real honest advice. Parking is great. It's right inside Target so that's cool. I recommend tons of people to go here! read more

1 star because we had an appointment but still had to wait 1.5 hours to see the doctor. They have no respect for patients' time. Also, when I asked them on phone, they mentioned $90 for an exam. I had clearly metioned my condition on the phone when getting the quote. But, after the exam, I was charged $140. Would never go here again! read more

I haven't received my glasses yet so I feel as thought I cannot give 5 starts at the moment. However, I had a great experience with Target Optical. I recently went to LensCrafters and walked out. By random I decided to check out Target because online they carried a lot of the same brands as LensCrafters. Not only was the customer service great, but I was informed he was also Optician, something I do not believe you get at chains like LensCrafters-to me they were just uneducated sales persons. there was a variety of discounts and options and I was informed of all of them upfront. He even helped me to figure out the best possible deal! I got the same frames, with better lenses and 2 boxes of contacts for $100 cheaper than LC. Target doesn't have as big of a selection of frames but definitely worth checking out. read more

The staff is great- one optomotrist is terrific- the other , young Asian optomotrist is nice but does not listen to the clients needs- the " lab" responsible for ordering contact lenses and Glasses- SUCKS- they consistently lose orders and do not ship to the store on time ( 2 weeks or more) for contact lenses to be shipped !!! REALLY???? 8 weeks later and my new contacts still not in my possession yet !!!Do yourself a favor and order online at 1800 contacts!!! ENOUGH ALREADY - INCOMPETENT MUCH?????!!! read more
