Came here last week for a pickup order with my toddler, I am 7 months pregnant. They told me due to inclement weather they couldn't bring my order out. There was no notification on my app when I said I was on my way and I live 10 minutes from here. There was no rain, thunder or lighting when I arrived. I called to ask if someone could help me and they still said no. I was there to get formula and I was completely out so turning away was not an option. I had to go in with my toddler and carry out my order by myself due to a policy. I guess kindness doesn't exist at this store considering they can't even help a pregnant woman out to her car. I'm grateful to the gentleman who witnessed me in the store and helped me with my cart afterwards. Shame that a random stranger helped me for free but people paid to do it can't. read more

Target , You're an excellent alternative to running to Walmart, however the clientele has a habit of ransacking the store making it appear unkempt. That truly isn't fair to the employees that are constantly attempting to restore order. Their prices are competitive with Walmart and during the holiday season we found items that we were unable to find elsewhere. read more

This review has nothing to do with the people working there, just the store content & cleanliness. I've had occasion to visit the Target (34/Douglas) recently & it's dismal. Shelves are in disarray, content is low (the guy in charge of stocking Naruto was even shocked how lacking his content was). I happened to find an employees red vest shoved back on a shelf in the toy section .. guess they were in a hurray to leave. I don't shop in-store often; but will try the Naperville store in the future. read more

Smaller than the two (Super) Targets I'm used to, so I have to adjust my expectations... This location was okay and I found most of the things I was looking for. Some areas were messy and some were not. They also didn't seem to have a holiday/seasonal area set up? The clerk who checked me out was friendly and fun, not your usual big box store experience. Nicely located in the strip along with every other store on earth in Oswego. Would drop in again if I was in the area and in need. read more

I went to this Target with my sister, we were shopping for her hospital bag seeing as she's due soon. We ended up purchasing a tote bag and we went to self check-out but I noticed they didn't have any of the large plastic bags so I went up to a cashier asking for a large plastic bag, the cashier, Denise, looked me up and down and noticed I had a tote bag and proceeded to ask if I was purchasing anything. I replied that we were buying a tote bag but seeing as it was white we wanted a bag so it wouldn't potentially get dirty on the ride home- Denise then proceeded to follow me to the self check-out and asked another associate to go through the tote bag and "take out all the paper stuffing as it's policy". I've bought bags from Target before and have never had an employee go through the bag claiming it was 'policy', to top it off there was an older white woman also checking out who was purchasing a book bag but no employee approached her (I guess it's important to mention I'm not white). Therefore, unless you're looking to be racially profiled I recommend NOT shopping here. read more

Ok, not a big fan of big box retailers at all but if I have to grade them, I'd put Target at the top of the list. Their stores are usually clean and well organized and while I've not personally shopped there for groceries, that addition should help them compete with their big box competitors. As this review is specifically on the store in Oswego, let me get to it. Pros: Clean, bright, well organized, good prices and the people I encountered, one woman, who was the dressing room attendant and the woman at the checkout, the personnel were friendly. Cons: Their selection of Mens clothing sucks, to put it mildly. Additionally, there is only one small mirror, at the far end where the hats are stocked, that would allow you to see how you looked in a Fedora hat. If you want a mirror, you have to go to the fitting room area. As I wandered the wearing apparel departments, I noticed a very sparse inventory in general. This is the beginning of spring and departments should be jammed with new items for the season. Not here. In one area in the women's department, there was a space at least 10 feet wide from the main aisle to the backwall. What's up with that? It did not appear any work was being done. It looked "business as usual". This also has nothing to do with the Oswego Target, and I won't single out this store for this, but I downgrade the chain as a whole for their anti gay and lesbian stances. In an age of inclusiveness, Target seems to be thumbing their corporate nose at people for their sexual orientation. GLBT's spend money too and in this economy, Target ought to be catering to everyone. I'll give this store 3 stars because of overall store appearance. At least I don't feel like I need to go home and take a shower like I do whenever I exit a Walmart. read more

I love Target! Just not this one. Here is why: My sister and I were on a quick hunt for a game that was suppose to be in stock (isle 43 to be exact-- it wasn't even in order!!!). We spent approximately 15 minutes looking for the game; we even asked a store employee for help! That employee ended up walking away from us and never returned. Frustrated we went to seek help from the media department, unfortunately the guy back there had three other customers needing his assistance. He did however let us know exactly where "isle 43" was. We spent an additional 10 minutes looking. We ended up giving up and leaving the general area. Long story short the dude came and found us and showed us the exact location (behind other games...). Long story short, we spent about 30 minutes looking for a game, and an additional 10 minutes trying to self-check out. I have been to this Target a few other times and have never been pleased. Never again. (The bathrooms here were disgusting!) read more

Some of the sections at this Target is smaller than other Targets, like the pet department. When something is on a really good sale, it seems to disappear fast at this store. They have a liquor section inside. The location is great since there are many stores down this strip of road. read more

I lost my receipt. I don't need to return often at all. However, I bought something from here and another store that didn't work in my space. The other store, rhymes with 'call mart' wanted to give me 25% of the item cost back. So I just kept it, I'll give it away. Target looked it up with the credit card I used and refunded it back to my card faster than I could get it back in my wallet. read more

This Target location has that squeaky clean, brand new feeling, but it's actually been around for several years now. Aside from being clean, it is always very quiet and empty, so I always lose track of time and panic that I'm the last jerk here before closing time. The women's clothing department leaves a lot to be desired. The racks are sparsely stocked, spaced really far apart, and it looks like they are having a liquidation sale. The clearance racks don't have much to offer, and there are significantly less of these than at other locations. There was only one rack of plus-size women's clothing that I almost missed because it is next to the maternity section. It isn't a Super Target location, but there are several freezer and fridge cases as well as packaged goods on the shelves. Good enough if you're on a mission to get something, but otherwise it's a snoozefest in here. read more

This is probably the best Target I have ever been to. Clean, well organized, well stocked, great clearance, huge women and children clothing sections, good food section, and better yet, I went several times during my stay and there were never any lines. My only complaint, which isn't Target's fault, was the family with the world's most obnoxious brat that soured my final purchases. If your 5 year old can scream so loud that the employees start criss crossing masking tape on the front glass doors over a cheap concession stand pretzel and a slurpee, you're not doing something right. read more

These people really messed up my mood on my day off this morning, which is ultra rare. I can count the number of times I've called out businesses with the race card in my 45 years using my fingers and have fingers left over....but I'm calling it here. My son went and waited in line on Thanksgiving Day for the Beats wireless headphones which were advertised in their ad and when he finally got in he was told they didn't have any. Not one pair. Why would you put something in the ad if you aren't going to carry it. Horrible read more

Extreme dissatisfaction. We were RUSHED out of the store at 8:50pm when closing time was 9 pm. The lights turned off as we were grabbing tooth brushes which were our last purchases of the evening and 3 employees "kindly" told us it was past closing time. We checked out at 9:06, and we had to ask the cashier 3 times to speak to a manager. The "manager" hardly let me finish the sentence before he interrupted me and said "sorry about that." I was still trying to finish my sentence and still he kept interrupting me saying sorry about that. I've worked in customer service for 7 years and even as a customer I receive better service, and better treatment at our local Wal-Mart. I will go to the Naperville location instead of Oswego for My shopping needs at Target. read more

This non-super target is pretty well stocked when it comes to groceries! I know that most people don't go to Target to grocery shop, but I find myself going there more for groceries than for anything else. As any Target shopper knows, sometimes their toiletries and other consumables can be overpriced. The spices and other dry goods usually go on sale here for cheaper than they would at a grocery store, so don't forget to shop the food aisles. I like this store. It's very close to home. I just want to give a shout out to two very nice sales men , Nathan and Mat. It was a Holiday weekend. The store was very busy and I didn't see to many sales people. I needed to purchase a few heavy item's. Anyway my point to the post. They both came out of their department to assist me and physically put my item's in my car for me. I think that's great customer service. They were just very nice young men. read more

I would take Target over WalMart any day and this Target helped cement that in place. It's large, spacious and most of all, it's clean! It seemed to be one of those super Target's, since not only did it have grocery items, but it had a deli and a bakery inside. (I have never been inside a Target with a deli before, this seemed extra special.) There was even a Starbuck's. We came here specifically to see the new Archer Farms items (the non-GMO and no high-fructose corn syrup items) and had some trouble hunting them down. My father was with me and he was on the hunt, so I wandered around as he tried to locate these items. Finally, he found out they are slowly introducing them and he purchased some coconut granola bars. They were delicious! I'm normally not a big Archer Farms fan, but these granola bars were yummy and a good pick me up or quick breakfast. I'll definitely be back and keep my eyes peeled for some more of the new items. read more

I'm standing in a line, didn't notice the light was out. The checker tells me there's no wait at the self checkout line. I never check myself out because they don't pay me to work there or do they give you anything off for doing it yourself. I go back into a line that has more people waiting then if I would've gone there in the first place. Literally less than a minute later the same checker that I just left a second ago sees more people waiting and then calls them over to check them out. Now while I'm standing in a different line waiting. Just so you know I had ONE item , ONE! Tells me to go to self checkout... As I'm still waiting on the original line anther checker took his place and then he goes and opens up a new register and starts talking people. WTF. I could've left 10 minutes earlier if he just would've taken me in the first place as he ended up staying open anyway. Then he started telling me he doesn't belong there and he should be somewhere else in the store doing other things. Personally I don't give a shit what he should be doing. Customer always comes first even when you are short handed because they don't want to pay for enough employees to be working. I'll never go there again . I've visited this location four times so far and I consider it my new home Target. I have an emotional disability and have been able to bring my service dog with me each time. Denise welcomes us every time and always makes sure to check if I'm ok and if I need anything. She goes out of her way to make our experience as welcoming as possible. You've got a customer for life! I really love this target and enjoy going. They have a place where u can get popcorn which is generous. And where else would I get my bathing suit I can always trust target. The place itself is well stocked and neat. Unlike some grocery stores having dirty floors I always feel hat target floors are clean. I can always buy clothing here as well and enjoy wearing it the next day. read more

Target is one of my favorite stores to shop for any of my needs. This particular location I frequent, rubbed me the wrong way today. I was with my 10 month old and decided to try a few things on. I headed over to the fitting rooms along with the baby, diaper bag purse and cart. The cart was obviously too big for the largest fitting room however I still decided to use it because I needed the extra space to set the baby down and the rest of my belongings. As I'm trying my items on a customer walks up to the fitting rooms with her baby and stroller. The attendant told her the large fitting room was occupied (by me) and she would have to wait. The attendant then proceeded to tell the customer that she doesn't understand why people(me again) use the large fitting room when they don't need it. What is the difference between her using it for her baby and belongings and me using it for my baby and belongings? It was pretty humiliating walking out of the fitting room after that. I was very displeased with this employee and the way she was talking about me while I was in the fitting room and I could hear her! One of the reasons I shop at target is because of the friendliness of the employees, however that was not the case today. read more
