My brother brought his prescription to the pharmacy because he needed the medications before he went back to school. I was able to pick up the medication for him the next day with ease. They were quick so I did not have to wait a long time at all. Im not sure why upper management thought it'd be a good idea to open a Target here given the amount of space. Very terrible service. Their self check out was down, so they had to ring people up from the electronic register. The woman ring me up and manually typed in the price of my items, without reflecting the discounted price on two shirts. When I prompted her about it, her response was "How much did you wanted it for?" Excuse me? Just give it to me at the price it is advertised for. And when I told her how much it was discounted for, she added .99 cent to it, and I kept telling her it is $12 not $12.99. I had to take a picture of the item and show it to her after the transaction, and she didn't even bother asking someone to check in the first place. Then she refunded it back to me 99 cents in cash when I paid using my gift card without apologies (and no, they did not refund me back the tax paid). Furthermore, when I got home, I found out I was actually overcharged on another item (Aussie miracle moist shampoo) that I paid for. The item was $5.99 but I was charged for $7.49. Reflecting back, she manually typed in the price so I don't know if she somehow memorized it or what... because unlike the shirts, the shampoo does not have a sticker price on it. Theft is a daily occurrence at this Stonestown Target store. I go to the Starbucks there to study. I see and hear the theft on a regular basis. The theft detector alarm goes off multiple times everyday, almost 10 times per hour. The Target security staff doesn't really care if people steal and they don't stop people from doing it. Sometimes I see obvious thefts when "homeless looking" people stack up a cart full of things and try to casually walk out. When I say "homeless looking", I'm saying people who are in dirty clothes with dirt all over their face, shoes that have holes which show their dirty feet. Also, the numerous poor "dindus" stack up their bags, jackets, and pockets with unpaid products. To me, they're obviously thieves and the security alarms only reinforce what I predicted. Target security does NOTHING! I mention this because poor security makes me feel unsafe when I study there. I watch my personal items like a hawk and I fear the worst... dindus snatching everyone's laptops at Starbucks. read more

While this Target is small compared to the ones at Serramonte it still has a decent inventory including some groceries, produce, booze, and beer. I like the idea of having Target nearby. This one is just 7 minutes away from me and it is massive after the expansion. However, for this size of a store, I'm surprised there's no security in sight and there are several exit locations. There's only one guy at the main entrance who greets people coming in, but no security in uniform. I was there yesterday getting some eggs and sausage after getting my grocery at Trader Joe's next door. Whilst I was at the grocery isle at Target, way...in the back, I noticed this homeless person checking out things with his huge cart blocking my way to reach the sausage. I said excuse me, but he ignored me. It's appalling to learn that Target doesn't have security guard at this location and let homeless carries dirty cart around the store. A store of this scale with no security guards in sight, I'm not surprised they have shoplifter problem. I'm not saying the homeless person shoplift, but for hygiene reasons, I'd be concern shopping for grocery at this Target location. Normally, I get my egg from Whole Foods on Stanyan, but I was lazy to drive over yesterday after shopping at Trader Joe's. First let me start off by saying the cashiers here are great and i never had a problem with them. This review is for the young black gentleman that was working there this evening around 8ish. He followed me and my husband around the whole time we were their and it made me really uncomfortable. There was plenty of people there he could of checked on as well but didnt and it made me feel as if it were because i was black myself. I ordered a product on line, was charged and received an e-mail from Target stating that the item was ready for pick-up at Stonestown, San Francisco. When I arrived, I was told that the computer system was down and that I could NOT get the item. I was told that the store did not have a system in place to manually give me the item, nor could the store send the item to me. The clerk assured me that since I did not have the item in my possession, I was not being charged. I called Target On-line Customer Service ( 800 591-3869) and spoke to someone in the Filipinos. When I asked them to repeat their name, they hung up. I called back, and was told that I was charged when I received the e-mail ( even though the store assured me that I was not charged). Since I was at the store, I thought I would shop for a few items, but half of the items I needed were not stocked. I wasted 2 hours of my time making the trip, not to mention gas spent in San Francisco ( $4.00/gal) and the aggravation of the whole thing. Rude/ stupid cashier Was waiting in line for 30 min and then realized i had a damage product so after waiting so long i decided to just stay and tell the cashier to bring me a new item. The managers don't know how to do inventory enough to keep products stocked up to accommodate the kids who buy snacks after like from Lowell after school or from SFSU for those who also live there. Not a lot of variety of products here due to smaller store size compared to others, but still pretty decent. There's a lot of things that they don't carry, for instance variety of organic milk. It seems more of a Target Express instead of the full store. Certain items are available for pick up on the same day but for other speciality items you have to wait a couple of days for pick up at the store. Parking can get difficult because it's located in a busy corner/intersection with lots of pedestrians crossing. This Target coupled with the TJs next door make it difficult to drive and find parking in that area. read more

I went shopping at Target at Stonestown galleria in SF, and I felt racially profiled. I had multiple security guards staring at me and after I made my purchase they moved closer to the exit (as if they were getting themselves ready to tackle me if the alarm went off.) This target had security all over the place. It did not make me feel comfortable. Everyone goes to Target to wander around and buy stuff. This Target made me want to leave immediately. I realize there has been a lot of shoplifting in SF lately, but if this is how security makes me feel I will start shopping elsewhere. I go to Targets in Hayward all the time, and I do not feel watched and profiled the same way. I am a middle aged African-American male and I was wearing decent clothing. Target you need to do better. I want to be able to go about my business at Target, do my shopping and not be profiled. The Trader Joes employees (next door!) let me go about my business and do my shopping. Its too small a store for that location. I agree with most of all the negative comments. Check the prices in the Sunday flyer or online first as the prices are all over the place for the same item. They will match their price if you ask. BUT: then there is XAVIER; his shirt says security. He greets everyone with a big smile. When you ask where something is he takes you there, rather than just waving hand and pointy into the air with his finger. Then when I am checking out, he is ringing up customers, always with a genuine smile. The managers need to give him a raise before other business steals him. I like shopping at Target for my baby stuff. I went into this location because it was convenient next to the Stonestown Shopping Center. A bit disappointed though since it's smaller and very tightly stocked than the usual Target stores like the ones in Daly City and Colma. Also the customer service floor rep I encountered was neither friendly nor helpful. Asking her for help made me feel like I disturbed her from whatever it was she was doing. I asked her where I can find the other brands of Vitamin D supplement for my baby and she said if they aren't in the baby aisle, then they don't have it. And yet I found the exact brand I was looking for by the Pharmacy aisle. She should have been more resourceful or at least redirect me to other areas of the store where it may be available. The only reason I rated this location a 2-star opposed to 1 was the short check-out line. The cashier was at least efficient and pleasant. read more

My shopping experience at Target Stonestown was amazing! Not only did my personal shopper never leave my side but I was able to express all my needs and issues. I can't wait to go back and ask them all about the products they carry, they seem so knowledgeable. You don't even have to approach them, they'll come right to you! Not only that, one of the cute employees wearing a red shirt whistled at me as I walked by as the rest of them laughed and giggled. This location Target is smaller than most, and they do have limited items, but the essentials items that people need they do have but certain brands. And during the Shelter in Place is a catch 22 to get bathroom tissues and towels, and other items. I understand about the limit per customer, since I was shopping for both myself and my home bounded mom, I had to make my one day shopping to two day shopping in order to get her, her supplies of toilet tissue and towels. This review is about the Starbucks in Target at the Stonestown shopping center. (There was no yelp page for that starbucks, please show the manager this yelp) Today I went to order two tall pumpkin spice lattes. And the employee already seemed in a bad mood. I had started one of those offers on my app, and it said buy 2 pumpkin spice get 25 bonus stars. The app did not show that I got them so when I went back to ask her, she was making faces at me like why is she talking to me? I felt like I was bothering right from the start. After I tried explaining she was like "Oh I dont know ask corporate" She was so rude to me. And while the other barista was making my drinks I asked her for the girls name and she said Dina. I then told Dina, You know what I work in customer service and thats not how you should talk to customers. Im a server and I really dont appreciate the way you were talking to me and instead of her apologizing, she rolled her eyes shrugged her shoulder and said "Okay." As a server, I really dont think this type of behavior is appropriate for someone working in customer service. It was only 6pm, it was not like we were her last customers of the night. She made me feel really bad, my boyfriend and I are were going to dinner and she made my experience start off so unpleasant. I usually dont write reviews especially negative ones, but I really did not appreciate nor like the way Dina treated me. This Target branch doesn't carry the full line of products as do the larger branches (e.g. Colma, Serramonte, even at Masonic Ave. in SF). Thus, for myself, it was a waste of time coming here; I ended up going further on to their Colma store to get the items I needed. It's terribly small & in other reviews the reviewers have felt similarly as myself. I suppose if one is a SF State or Lowell student (or do not have access to a car) then this Target will do. read more
