Anyone else annoyed how unkept the changing room areas are at Target on Hillsdale? Makes me remember why I don't want to shop there.

5 solid stars for their customer service! They really take care of their customers here.... Got my Wii Fit at this Target and was impressed with the customer service. Called in around 6:20 am to find out if they had any in stock and the guy on the phone was courteous, told me they had limited supply and there was already a small line outside, so best to come on by. I quickly got dressed and got here (about a 5 min drive) to find a flock of people already in line. At about 7am, the guy came out to inform us they had about 24 Wii Fits available and were handing out tickets. I was ecstatic and relieved to be one of the lucky 'golden ticket' holders. Even though we got tickets, people were still standing in line...and the guy came back out a bit later asking if anyone wanted coffee? I was pleasantly surprised two guys walked out with two two trays, one for the coffee, and the other for condiments (sugar/cream), talk about SERVICE! They came out a couple more times to hand out tickets to newcomers and one of the guys even stood outside chatting with the early uppers at the head of the line. From my experience at other Targets, most of them would not give you the time of day or rudely respond on the phone of no help. Everytime I've called to ask about something, the people would take the time to actually check up and get back to me. The security lady here is also very friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great experience getting my Wii here, met some interesting (but friendly) people in line and would definitely be coming back! read more

I love me some Target... What I love about this Target is since Oakrdige opened... You can find all the stuff that is sold out and no where to be found at the Hillsdale Target... Thank God for not so busy Targets!!! read more

Clean store and most staff work there are nice, I shop here almost every week, never have problem. And this location now open store till 12 pm, really helpful for busy people, now I can shop at late night with out wait in long line to check out. read more

I wish I could give this Target a full 5 stars but I can't! Only 1 reason why...THEY DON'T HAVE FAMILY CARTS!!! AUGHHHHHHHHHHH I can only go to this one when I have 1 kid or by myself. Otherwise, I'm having to either hit the one by the airport or on Curtner. If I go at work I go to the one in Sunnyvale...OMG I LOVE THAT TARGET!!!!!! The employees are pretty nice they're helpful. Plus the clearance racks usually have good stuff. But there's 1 employee there who always looks at my poor husband like she wants to eat him alive...my poor baby LOL read more

I have to give this Target location 5 stars for two major reasons: 1) They are open late late late. People always wonder why these stores need to be open so late but as the mom of a 2 year old I LOVE IT! After the family is tucked in and my husband sits down to do relax in the evening I can run out to the store. Having a party and forgot to buy lemonade...Target is open till 11! Wahoo! 2) Once late at night (okay, yes, I needed lemonade before a party). I ran into the store 5 minutes before closing. When I returned to my car I packed and shut the trunk before unlocking the car which sets the alarm off. Two of the security guys and one of the check out guys ran out to see if i needed help or if something was happening to me. THANK YOU Target staff! read more

This target is the worst! The shelves are disorganized and the store in general looks old, drab and dirty. I agree with the other Yelper who said that none of the workers are helpful, all they do is stand around talking to each other or texting. Target is the best but don't go to this location. read more

Came in with my father and ended up falling in love with a chair that was displayed in there furniture section. It didn't have a price tag. I stopped an employee and asked to for a price he then called the manager vic i believe his name was. They both were patient and helped me find the price it did take some time but they were so sweet and good conversationalist. Love this target. read more

Target is such a love/hate relationship. I love too much stuff... then hate myself later for buying all of it!!! Ah... c'est la vie. I finally signed up for a red card yesterday. omg, why did i not do this sooner??? 5% isn't much, but it's better than nothing! happy camper now that i have my new tshirts for summer. they don't last forever, but hey, they're cheap and comfy. checkout was a breeze for once. yay! read more

I like this Target. I don't LOVE this Target the way I do the one on Coleman... but that one is shiny and new with a Starbucks. This one is convenient... close by, big parking lot, stuff... lots of stuff, like every good Target should. Having been spoiled by shiny, new Targets (e.g. Sunnyvale, Oakridge, & Coleman), I was quite appalled by my first and last visit here a few days ago. The store feels dilapidated, there are numerous stains on the floors, and everything I needed was out of stock. Item availability seems limited when compared to other Targets--see the baking items squished in between a freezer door and the surplus food supplies? Customer service, however, was consistent with other Target locations, as in friendly and helpful. I don't think that anything in this whole plaza is worth my time. read more

I only go to this Target if I happen to be in the area because it is a little far from where I actually live. But I like this Target. It seems to be very clean and organized and stocked with a lot of stuff. All the workers there seem to be really nice and friendly. There is plenty of parking so you don't have to worry about that. read more

Target - From the outside of target - Department Stores Near Me - San Jose, California

I usually come in on weekends, first thing to avoid crowds and lines. However, I came yesterday, Sunday the 29th around 12:30. It was such a pleasent surprise to be asked by 3 different associates if I was finding everything I needed. The associates were all very friendly. I felt they genuinely cared. This is no common anymore, especially from young employees. Once I went to the register, I was helped quickly. No long lines...yeay! Not sure what you are all doing different but keep it up!!! read more

I love tar-j. Anytime I need something I'd rather come here than to the drug store. Plenty of parking but I wish they'd have more check out lines. This location is not the most coupon using friendly, but hey we're not doing one of those darn couponing shows anyways. My purse was stolen and the security as well as the manager were super rude and barely helped look for it. They are always out of stock on merchandise, go to the Target on Curtner ave. It's much cleaner and they have things in stock when you need them. Only thing this place has going for them is they are open later then most Targets. read more

News FLASH! Target now selling Clover Milk, Boom! This Target is well kept. Seems like I am there when everyone is. Parking can sometimes be a bitch. Can't tell if it's from the 24hr peeps, but man when it's busy it's busy. From my experiences services has always been helpful. Really can't say more about Target, other than it amazes me that buying 4-5 items will be over $100. read more

Best Target store ever! I was here for the exchange of the online purchased Apple TV. The Apple TV has been out of stock in many target stores for long time( at least since Black Friday). There are a lot of Target stores showing 'in stock' on target.com but they will eventually tell you that they don't have any when you visit the store in person. I was cheated by the online information for several times, several stores. Finally, I called this store and ask the guy in electronic department if they really have the Apple TV in stock. He said yes and would like to on hold for me in case someone else comes before me. I feel super lucky, sweet and helpful. I got my Apple TV exchange finally. The lady from customer service is is super friendly as well. This is my most satisfy shopping experience with Target since thanksgiving. I will make this one 'my store' from now. read more

If violating my rights even deserves a star...fine. This target is a mess. Prices are always incorrect. Staff look miserable. Aisles are not picked up. Parking lot FULL of carts. This is every time I come. This last incident will be the LAST time I ever set foot is this pathetic store. A team member Karen decided that it was her personal mission to yell ACROSS 8 aisles at me and my partner. "ONLY SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED HERE." I polity smile and continued walking. She looked like she had a rough day. Then Karen decides to mock and continue yelling at me and my service dog, violating my constitutional rights. If this had been my parents with their service dog, it would have landed on world star. How sad of a human she must be to do that. I asked to speak to the manager, they sent me a lead. Then another "manager" stepped in. I asked to speak to the general manager and district manager. They gave me the run around. I've worked in retail for well over 15 years. I'm still waiting for store manager Victor to give me a call. This is absolutely unacceptable and pending a lawsuit. read more

So, when I was about 9 1/2 months pregnant, a male cashier asked me..."wow, are you having twins?" At this point my jaw dropped and I was shocked that a complete MALE stranger would have the gall to say something like that. I just responded that I am just having 1. Seriously, when is it ever ok to say something like that to a pregnant woman? The Pharmacy. Oh boy. My husband was in there the other day and just commented that they look like they hate their life. Besides that, I called a few days ago because I needed a refill for my asthma inhaler. The pharmacy person said that she would get right on it and call my physician. Did she? NOPE. So the following day, I called, got a hold of someone, and then they hung up on me. I called back and the phone kept ringing. I called back again and someone answered and then put me on hold forever, so either I was on hold or they hung up on me. Can you feel my irritation yet? Besides the lousy customer service, the store is not too bad. If you're looking for some great produce in abundance then look elsewhere. It's pretty pathetic actually because it looks like they have left over produce that has been sitting there for weeks. Oh, and when the cafe area was being renovated, I was so stoked because I thought they were going to put a Starbucks there, but nope, just a crappy cafe. read more

We love Target; it has now become our one stop shop for everything we need. Just last week we found ourselves there. It happens to be about 15 till closing. Most of the employees were ready to leave and end their shift. It was like we went to one isle and the chick said, sorry closed, so we went to the next... sorry closed. Then we went down another. My wife and I remember his name that's how OUTSTANDING his service was. His name was RON. He was awesome, such a well mannered fellow, totally nice and super helpful. So about a day ago or so the wife wants to pick up a few things from Target. So we go, and it's close to closing again. But low and behold who do we see ... RON, our last checker guy. I told my wife hurry and let's grab what we need so we can go down his isle. Good customer service is hard to come by these days. The wife took too long reading food labels and by the time we were done shopping and ready to checkout he ended his shift. So sadly we did not have the OUTSTANDING service like the time before. We had mediocre service; actually the chick was cold as ice. No personality whatsoever. Over all it's a great place, nice and clean and always has what we need and good customer service is a plus and when we can get that, hey that's awesome. read more

Target is usually the first store I go for things. During the pandemic I rely on Amazon a lot, but if anything I can find in target, I would try to order from it. Picking up at the store or having it shipped to me are both pretty quick and reliable. read more

So the first thing to note is that I Love Target. I think Target's are fantastic. This target is within walking distance to my house making it super convenient. These fact's may or may not make me somewhat biased. This target recently put in liquor and groceries. And while the new grocery selection is awesome they removed some of the home and car items I had liked getting there. This target is clean, organized, the staff is always friendly. And like most targets they have a great selection of papyrus cards. Since they have moved some things around it can be a little difficult to navigate, but it all makes sense after a visit or two. This Target gets 4 stars because they recognize that they have limited their supply of certain items. As such, the employees are always willing to help you locate the closest target that has the item you want and get it put on hold. And unlike the starbuck's in the parking lot, the starbuck's inside target also never has a line. read more

Target is my one stop shop. Can get batteries, greeting cards, puzzles, stationary, and even shampoo or soap. It's close by and their prices aren't ridiculous. They have a nice assortment of home decor and posters too. The cashiers are nice and when in doubt of the price on an unlabeled item usually they take your word for it if it's a normal item. They also carry grocery items. I can stop at target and get all I need, I don't need to make multiple stops. After busy days their store is sometimes a bit messy, and they may run out of certain things, but all in all one of my favorite places to get everyday items that I don't want to get on Amazon. read more

Never thought I would review a Target. Came in on Black Friday to watch people shop. Decided to get myself some hard cider and relax at home. Get to the register and the manager freaks out runs over grabs the cider and says they can't sell on thanks giving. I haven't seen any laws online on this. So I went to a liquor store and got it. Seriously, one of the better targets in the area and I've seen a lot of targets! I actually live VERY close to the Oakridge target and drive to this one instead. Almost always has everything I need and the recent renovation has REALLY helped with grocery stuff. This is "my" target. read more

This Target hits the Target!!!!!! Let me break it down why this location is so good. Easy parking lot. Store is remodeled inside and laid out perfectly. Clean carts. Aisles can easily fit two carts side by side. Great groceries and prices. They have a good supply of electronics and Blue Ray discs. Tons of clerks and registers to check you out. Target delivers. I come here most often for clothes for my almost 7-year-old daughter. The clothes here are inexpensive (not cheap), which is good when your child only lasts a few months in any one size. Plus, what I like most as a mom is that the kid clothes LOOK like kid clothes. Places like Mervyns now carry clothes for kindergartners that look like they belong on high schoolers, and slutty girls at that. I'm all for keeping it innocent and cute. Target is clean, well organized, and I always end up buying more than I intended to. I like this one since I hate going to Targets attached to malls (like at Oakridge or West Gate). Also great for baby stuff, birthday party gifts for kids, seasonal items, back-to-school stock, etc. They've got it all. read more

I love this Target. I have been going to this Target ever since I was born! I really like the grocery store aspect. Food is really cheap, easy to find, and the fresh produce is consistently good. I know I can depend on this Target for nearly everything I could wish for. I will continue to go to this Target unless I move away. The customer service is also consistently good. Target is great. I like that it's not Walmart. It has just the right about of stuff, so that you can find what you need, without a treasure map and a GPS system. Pacifically, I come here to buy all my toiletries. If I didn't know about bit-torrents, I'd probably buy movies here too. I have found decent-looking menswear here too, but I get embarrassed when I see someone else with the same cheap shirt. The bedding department is pretty nice, as well. I bought my girlfriend the best gigantic furry blanket ever. Buying beer and wine here is not a bad idea, if you're not too picky. I did see Dom Perignon here though. What really gets my motor running is the kitchen and home department. Really nice. I got my mom a really nice Calphalon skillet and a killer KitchenAid spice/coffee grinder. They have nice remote digial probe thermometers at an extremely affordable price. I got a ginourmous knock-off Le Creuset for a fraction of the real-deal, but I'm tellin' you, I made the best chile verde ever in it. I think there is a gazillion reasons to come to Target, and I don't feel gross about it either. This one is not the best in the world, but it's mine. read more

They seem to change this one up a lot! -They are open late and are very clean and courteous. The lines move at an average pace. -Waldo is extremely eager and willing to help out with anything. If he doesn't have an answer for you, he will quickly find someone who does. read more

As far as Target goes, this particular location within the area is consistently good and generally well stocked. Lines are short, and cashiers are plenty. I returned probably twice in so many years, and the experience was good-fast and no questions asked. Parking can seem daunting, but just park a little further out and you can avoid the crazy SUV mega drivers who stalk the first couple rows. read more
