I'm a regular target shopper but today was a disaster at this particular store. We spent an hour shopping and when we got up to the front of the store the lines were so long it looked like a summer holiday weekend and the self checkout was closed. We waited in about 15 minutes before asking someone what was going on. Apparently the registers had gone down an hour prior to us asking a they hadn't made any announcements over the loud speaker, weren't telling anyone waiting in line, and were still letting people in the door. We commented that they shouldn't be letting people in to waste their time. The woman said her manager did not want to close the doors but they told people on their way in. We weren't told and on our way out there were multiple target employees standing near the door and I didn't see a single thing said to the 5-10 people I saw walk in while I had view of the door. Even though the registers were apparently down nation wide, this particular manager's handling of the situation was terrible read more

When ordering my packages have gotten lost, and or taken 3 to 4 weeks to get ordinary things. I'm afraid they have lost a valued customer. They don't even answer emails. It's just about the money you spend. read more

5-4-12....around 9:40am went to target for a few items. for some reason today was the shits coming here. here's the problem: 1. target staff decided to block the main aisle of the store to have their morning staff meeting (near the produce "T" intersection) during business hours. i had to walk around them by using the next aisle over. 2. the cashier in #12...couldn't read her name tag. something like mariel a. this is not social time with the people purchasing their items b. you don't need to be asking what are you doing today? (a & b: for the dad & little boy in front of me) c. do your job in a timely fashion d. greet all your purchasers in the same manner e. DON'T SHOUT TO YOUR CO-WORKERS IN SPANISH & ENGLISH WORKING IN THE FOOD COURT ABOUT SOCIAL TALK- (WTF) f. use your eye contact to thank the purchaser she handed me my receipt without saying anything..pretty rude g. don't talk to a target team member as they walk by about more social stuff i went to the guest service desk next. asked the target worker if i could speak to manager or get a comment/survey to tell target of this HORRIBLE experience. 1. had to open every drawer 2x's to find a feedback/comment card 2. gave me wrong info on how to submit "you can just mail it back" WOW...I GUESS YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. hey! there's no damn address on the card. IT SAYS TO BRING IT BACK TO THE GUEST DESK OR EMAIL TARGET NEEDS TO SERIOUSLY TRAIN THEIR WORKING STAFF IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!! YOU CAN'T EVEN LEAVE ANY FEEDBACK TO TARGET ON THEIR WEBSITE. I love this target it's clean but their food sections needs major work! I go there a lot!!! I mean like sometimes multiple times a week and why are they never stocked with their stuff! I'm blessed to live only a block away from this Target because I come here on average once a week. Oddly enough, this is my go-to place whenever I'm extremely bored, especially since it's only walking distance for me. Targets are such vibrant stores and carry almost everything I need. Now that there's a grocery section, I don't even need to cross the street to go to Safeway. Every time I come here there's a single item I need to get, but I always walk out of the store with a bunch of random purchases. That's the curse of Target. I've been going to this Target since I was a kid so I love it here. However, I've only noticed this now as an adult, but this Target is usually low in stock for products I need right away. I can't blame them for the short supply since everyone comes to this Target, but I do wish they were more on top with restocking their products. read more

They don't let you try on foundation even though there were testing stuff right next to it. Walgreens doesn't have this nor does any other targets. If you're gonna put foundation next to things that test then at least keep a sign up or something. There were many people testing things and everything was open too, but yet they tell just me to not do it. Is it because I was the only asian there? Can I just say I've been going to this target for like my whole life because I'm just so used to the surroundings and especially the HOURS. I live closer to the one on king road but omg going here is like entering Mexico that's why I'm like no thanks I don't wanna get robbed or shanked so I'm good with this target here . Having said that , I was so scared that the target would close at 11pm so I went on yelp to make sure and girllll was I shocked ! Everywhere else closes at 11 except THIS target closes at mid night ! So I was like hallelujah lord saves the night ! So I went here and when I was shopping for groceries and stuff I saw this board message saying : save 10 dollars for every 50 dollars on groceries and I'm like OMG yessssssss how perfect can this be ?!? I purchased 100 dollars worth of grocery and some of you may say omg you're just buying it for the gift cards . Well yall wrong ! I'm buying these to stock up for the next 2 weeks ! So the 20 dollar gift card was like something extra ! Like seriously ? I wanna line explode in happiness! Because first of all you need to eat so buying grocery is like a must! And then OUTTA no where here's your two 10 dollar gift cards like omg thank you!! Right ? Other than that the customer service here is exceptional. This target is extremely convenient because it is right next to boiling crab! With those Hour+ waits you can always blow time in here. everything is always so organized and stocked, and the workers are really nice. You do get the occasional slow register person. But over all its a really nice target. read more

Its hard enough shopping with kids. People don't like it when they are crying. Every time my kid stands up in the cart a target representative beems in on me to tell me he is standing up. Its like they are stalking me, waiting for the moment that they can jump in and give me a tip. read more

For the crap-tastic neighborhood this Target is actually pretty nice. Shockingly clean and well organized this Target even has pretty good parking availability. Sales are easy to find and the lines are always manageable here. The only drawback to this location is all the barefoot kids with parents screaming at them but then doing nothing to stop their behavior. read more

You can get damn near anything here. I love this place. If not wal-mart. I'll be here getting all my goodies. From stationary, cosmetics, electronics and now food. You can get anything here, you name it. So why the 3 stars you ask? Service here is pretty bad, you wanna return something for some reason they have no employees. You want to find something, for some reason their workers don't know where it is. You want to pay for something, for some reason they only have 2 people working at a register with 10 people in each line. Maybe, I'm exaggerating just a little, but you get the point. I don't expect people to do everything for me, but seriously? You have all these target team members that you guys pay, but can't seem to do their job? I find that a little off. I actually like this target! It's conveniently located near 101 and the staff is always more than willing to help or assist you! I come here a few times a year because they're more stocked than the target by my house (off Landess and Morill). The store is clean and well organized, exactly what I expect. I like how parking is easy to find and usually the lines aren't long. If I wait in line it's no more than 10 minutes. read more

There is a Pizza Hut Express and Starbucks inside. The carts here are new and plastic, way better than the metal ones =) There is plenty of parking available and this Target is pretty big. Overall, I like this Target and would come back! read more

I'm sorry but the new layout/redesign is horrendous. There's no logic to how they've organized the clothing sections, or the rest of the store around it. This was already the worst Target in the area and now I really don't have much of a reason to return. Half of their self checkout stations weren't even working! I am usually a big fan of target but unfortunately not at this particular target. Why do you ask? well, first off the employees are not really trained to do their job properly. Anyways, I roamed around and picked out my items. I then proceed to check out at cash register and the employee asked "Do you want a bag", I replied " Yes, please." she said do you have 10 cent? really?!! you charge your customers for bags now target? WTF? what is this SH*T? I was mad because apparently, my friends did not have to pay 10 cents for a bag. Okay, I might have let it pass before swiping my credit card but obviously she's not so intelligent to ask until I paid. I don't know why I never wrote a review for this place. Must've thought I did. Anyway, the store is clean, big isles and is on the larger side. They have a Starbucks and Pizza Hut inside. Pharmacy is friendly, a bit ditzy sometimes but they always get my prescriptions right so I'm good. I guess what prompted me to write a review was yesterday while shopping my friend wanted to get a video game. First it was locked up, ok guess we are old cause it was a $20 game so why lock it up? When I was into video games they didn't lock up cheap ones. Second the dude asked for my friends ID. She said she has never been asked for ID to buy a game. Third why the hell is there a security guard here? Really? I live around the corner from here. Yes it's the east side but come on this is not the hood of the east side! Why does parking seem to always suck at Target, no matter which one you go to? This one is no different. But Target is an awesome place to go shopping. It's my one-stop shop for household goods and snacks. I don't even need to go to CVS or Walgreens anymore, since I can get everything here. I love this target! Everytime I go to Target and look for one or two specific things, I end up buying more than what I need to. LOL. I go to Target at least 3 or 4 times of the month! It's a great place to shop for electronics such as DVDs and games. Also a great place to buy snacks and school supplies because they have good sales. The prices here are better and the quality too. The weekends however are just too busy and it is hard to find a close parking. I have to say Target is better than Walmart.=P read more

Who doesn't love Target? Convenience is the story of my life! Target kinda makes you feel like home, even if you're at a Target on vacation miles from home. But this Target is definitely home to me, maybe cause I bring everything from it home. LOL. I think I love Target even more ever since they put in the dollar spot right in front years ago. It's such a great attention grabber and kinda drill the thought of a Holiday or something special coming up so you continue to shop through the entire store with that initial thought in mind. Idk, maybe that's just me. Oh the two rows of produce, and how they're open til 11pm now is a big plus too! And especially with Starbucks just five steps away, gosh you guys really know how to sucker me. I love how clean and organize Target is (minus the restroom.. eeek!) It's so easy to find things you need.... and hundreds of other things you didn't need until you see it there and suddenly you "need" it hahaha. Overall, the convenience of stopping at one place that does it all, gets an A+ in my book! On a not-so-good note: This is where my entire paycheck goes to.... siiiigh. RACIST- ACCUSED ME OF STEALING and I don't freaking steal. I have been living in this neighborhood for over 30 years. I have been shopping at this Target for over 20 years, probably my whole life. I probably spend about $500 a month at Target. However, a couple days ago I was approached by a young white female with the side of her hair shaved who just refused to believe that I had purchased the items that were in a bag in my cart. First I am a black female. Not that is matters but I was well dressed on this particular day. I had gone through a line with a checker and rang up all my items. I then went to dollar aisle because I forgot to purchase some items. I put those items in my cart (not in my packed Target bag) and went to the bathroom. I took the bag of things I had already purchased with me to the bathroom as they are now mine. The items I had yet to purchase (4 one dollar items) I left in my cart outside of the bathroom. When I exited the bathroom I put my bag of purchased items back into my cart and proceeded to go to the self check-out line to buy my 4 one dollar items. This is when I was approached by the shaved head white female. She asked me if I had purchased the items in the bag. I said yes. She then asked if I had a receipt. I said yes. Then she asked to check. So as a black person who is consistently dealing with racism I have to wonder if she would have just taken my word for it if I was white. Isn't the customer always right? Isn't it harder and more expensive to attract new business then to maintain one's current customers? I had one bag, not a new plasma TV. Is it worth it Target to unfairly profile one's customers. Couldn't she have watched security tapes to see that I was in fact telling the truth? Anyway she proceeds to go into my bag and get the receipt and then has the nerve to stand there and go over every item as though this were Costco or as though I had actually done something wrong. After she saw that I had purchased everything she just walked away without even APOLOGIZING for embarrassing a long standing customer for her racist perceptions. There was no right for her to come at me like this and I expect Target to take this seriously as I will be speaking to the manager and finding out how they intend to compensate me for this unnecessary harassment of a long standing customer who spends a ton of money at this particular store. Educate your staff - especially in East Side San Jose! People of color deal with enough harassment on a regular basis. We don't need it at FREAKING Target too! Unacceptable and unappreciated. Check your staff before I do. * * * On another note the women's restroom was disgusting and had poop on the seat. I saw a Target employee in the bathroom at the same time I saw the poopy seat and she walked out and did nothing. I took upon myself to inform three different staff people in case others were as indifferent as she. I love this target. It's close by, good parking, clean, and of course the sales! I always buy my favorite TV DVD shows on sale here!! The workers are usually friendly, and if I ask a question, they normally know it and if not they go above and beyond to find the answer. Which is great because it makes me feel special, rather then other places saying, "We don't have it" you didn't even look!! They have yummy cheap food in their food court which boasts a Starbucks and pizza hut, my fav! So if you're on some down time, grab a snack and shop till you drop! read more
