Updated review: I HATE coming here now because there's NEVER ANY CARTS. They literally have 20 carts total and NO hand baskets. There's never any carts in the parking lot either. They blame it on the homeless. It's SO frustrating. Three security guards doing NOTHING at the door.... A manager or someone else standing outside too.... Can't you have them monitor your carts????? It's literally the worst. No one cares. Not even the managers. They say they'll have more carts on Tuesday. Great.... I will Hold them to their word though!!!! IF there's no carts my next visit I'm considering calling the news channels to do a clip on this BS. Target is a multi billion dollar mega corporation- but they don't have carts???? They'd rather not have their customers equipt with carts instead of having one of their "security guards" monitor carts? Sounds like LAZY MANAGEMENT TO ME! Pretty run of the mill Target located in the San Jose Marketplace. Parking seemed easy enough and it's a nice new location. The layout and stock are well balanced and they seem to have a lot more clearance than other locations. Found some great C9 brand workout clothes on the clearance rack with another 20% off using my cartwheel app. Overall decent shopping experience but minus a star for a very chaotic check out process-so few lanes open on a busy Saturday... read more

Absolutely amazing, never have I met someone so cheerful doing Drive Pick up orders. Norberto, a young man so kind and thoughtful about where to place my order in my vehicle. Not there like some other kids who are just trying to collect a pay check. This young man's smile will brighten your day! Not sure what happened to this target over the past year or so. This place has gone downhill as far as keeping products on the shelf to keeping carts avaliable to their customers. It could be the homeless issue that plagues the front of the store or it could be the management just doesn't care! It has always been so convenient to come here, however with the way the store is ran, it's time to find a different retailer. This use to be my main target and I really feel like I can depend on finding things I need here. During the pandemic we had staff wipe down the carts and always had a particular young gentleman that said good bye every time you left. Today I wanted to review KC bc he is so thoughtful and cherry and always happy to be there and help. I ended up buying over 60 notebooks for the teacher behind me and he was so willing to go the extra mile to help us out too. So I was also thankful. Thanks for being my trusted target. read more

I was just racially profiled in Target. This is one of my favorite locations, too! After everything that is going on, I cannot even pick up apples, facial toner, and hand sanitizer in piece. Wow, Target, really?!? I don't recall them wearing face masks either (and they sell them there!); their Target logo'd polos were clear as day though - bad example, unsafe, and UNAPPRECIATED. Came here early when the store opened for a few items. There were numerous homeless subjects wandering around the store with no security guard present. Lots of items were out of stock with bare shelves. I did not enjoy my shopping experience at this store. Not coming back. read more

This is for the CVS Pharmacy within the Target which does not have its own separate entry. When Target still did their own pharma, this place was great. The lone carryover from then (George) still knows me by name. He and Tiffany (since gone) have been awesome. Gave an extra star for that. Ever since they switched to CVS, this place has been absolute crap. I have a medication that I take 1 ml of every 3 weeks. The doctor writes me a prescription for 10 ml. CVS then converts it back to 1 ml and blames my insurance. So my doctor found out the prescription is only about $5 more for 10 ml cash price (about $.50 per dose). I say something like, "I can pay that. It will be way less hassle, and the money I save on gas will more than make up for it." He writes me the 10 ml prescription again as cash price (no more "insurance" hassle). I get to the CVS in Target to pick up my prescription. They've put it back to 1 ml again without even telling me. I explain to the pharmacy tech. She confirms that the doctor DID write the prescription for 10 ml, then she goes and talks to the pharmacist who tells her, "it's because it's only for 28 days." (I could hear them talking). The tech (just doing her job), repeats what the pharmacist had said. I ask, "What does 'only for 28 days' mean? It doesn't work anymore? It evaporates?" She goes to get the pharmacist. The pharmacist repeats what she had previously said, so I repeat my question. She says, "It's a manufacturer's recommendation." I say, "Well I've used the 10 ml size before, so I'm willing to take my chances." She says, "We can't dispense that anyway." At this point I'm very annoyed because clearly the "28 days" thing was complete BS. I tell them that I've gotten the 10 ml size at that same place before and that the only reason it changed was because supposedly my insurance wouldn't cover the 10 ml size, but this time I was paying cash. The pharmacist gives me another clearly BS excuse. Then the tech adds one of her own (I don't recall the specific excuse - something about a "control number"). I believe the truth is, it comes down to two things: 1. Liability - my prescription is a controlled substance, and they are worried people might try to sell it. 2. Money - they likely have a higher profit by having insurance fill the smaller size more times than selling the big size fewer times. I'm a grown up. I know how it works. Don't blow smoke up my backside with lies about "control numbers" and "it's only good for 28 days". Either tell me the truth, or simply say you choose not to dispense it in that amount. Either way I'll take my business elsewhere, but now you've pissed your otherwise loyal customer off too! read more

As someone who loves Target, this is probably my least favorite Target after the one in Redwood City. I mean all Targets should be the same but not in this case! I only ever come here due to its close proximity to my boyfriend's house and I don't feel like driving 10-15 minutes to other Targets. We came here this past weekend and this was the first time I ever really felt unsafe in Target before. I love coming to Target because like other people, it's our ~relaxation~ time to just browse through the aisles and look for stuff we think we need, LOL. Anyways, my boyfriend and I came here to pick up some cold medicine since we were feeling a little sick. Usually we park in the small lot in between target & marshalls, which we have no problems with. But omg! This past weekend was honestly SO scary. We were walking to the front of Target and there was a homeless man who was throwing and smashing his backpack against the ground and screaming profanities and something about the government. It was obvious that the man was not in his right mind. What scared me was how there was so many children around to witness this. I let security know about this situation and thankfully they told him to leave. When we were walking around the store, I noticed that there was so many other homeless probably due to the encampments around the area. Thankfully most of them are nice but there are a few that do cause some problems. Again when we were leaving, there were a couple more homeless people picking fights in front of the store. I wish there were more security patrolling the premises because it does get a bit scary. Especially because there were people fighting in front of our car when we were trying to leave. Other than that, this target is okay. They usually have a lot of the things I need in stock and I love that they have an ulta in this location because it's so convenient! read more

Target always delivers! Came in for items we were out of around the house and found everything on our trip. The employees at this location do such a great job keeping the shelves stocked and organized. This location always has great customer service, from the young man wiping down carts greeting everyone and thanking people, to the wonderful cashier - Ramrez. Talk about a ray of sunshine during these dark times, we walked up to the register and he cheerfully greeted us, asked how our morning was going and was professional while providing us with excellent customer service. I been to all targets in San Jose and I must say that this target is the best. I live 30 minutes away and I travel to that target because I love how clean it is and most of all I really enjoy the great customer service that KC provides. He is a cash register and he always has a smile on his face! There has been times where I am feeling down and sad and I'll make that target run at Coleman and KC is always there and even though he may not remember me but every time he greets me with a smile, asks me how I'm doing and Before I walk away he makes sure to tell me I'm the best. This is a review for my experience today with curbside pickup with Kristin. Not only did she have great cornrows, she had a great attitude and was friendly, courteous, and helpful. And she came out to my car less than 5 minutes after I arrived, which was a great surprise! After curbside pickup at Lowe's just prior to curbside pickup here, which was an awful 45-min experience, I will try to purchase what I can from Target instead of Lowe's, if at all possible. read more

I agree! They have the best stock of hair color available. Their pharmacy area and their feminine area is well stocked as a whole. It's a huge store and always clean and well lit. Their sports department is well stocked as well. Their costume jewelries section is well stocked as well. My only complain? Their rings don't come in size 4 :( Their grocery area is really cool as well. All kinds of cereals are available. If you're a coffee person they have those too. My favorite is their house ware dept. I hang out there if I visit and it's near my home so... Greeting card area is pretty awesome too well stocked. read more

Me and my partner always have an issue with the man in the morning at the self check out, he likes to stare us down while we get our items. My first encounter with him was mid September and based off of my initial interaction, I looked for him again this evening. His excellent customer service and humor are worth the wait. This is my neighborhood target and I love it! The shopping center it's in can be considered a one stop shop: lots of dining options, pet store, World Market, Marshall's, Trader Joe's, but ... enough about the center - let's talk Target!! Pretty good parking, careful with the carts though, restricted to Target area otherwise will lock and it's a pain! The store has a good feel, always maintained and well stocked. There's a Starbucks! Oh double whammy because the center has a DRIVE-THRU Starbucks the highlight of my trip to this specific Target is checking out at the register with KC! He is a rockstar!! He sparks conversation with each customer and makes sure they have a great shopping experience. He is hilarious even my kids love him! Whoever is in the area and wants a great laugh while doing a Target run, check him out! read more

To Whom it may concern, My name is Mayela, I just had a c section and I'm still recovering. The reason I bring this up is because your shopping cart locking mechanism was extremely inconvenient and a liability to my health. It literally locked up a few feet from the store and I couldn't get to my car. I had to have someone else bring my car closer, park it in a red zone because all parking close by was already taken and on top of that, I had to load my groceries myself because my helper was making sure he didn't need to move the car from the red zone right away while we were illegally parked. If you could please make sure this doesn't happen to someone else, I would appreciate it. The locking mechanism happened too close to the store and I know it's standard to have them locked so people don't steal them but... it was extremely inconvenient and painful to me. Thanks. Okay this place is usually out if what I need. The shelves are never really tidy and it's hard to what I need. The worst part of this store is where the milk is! Just nasty! The mold in there will follow you home if you don't wipe the gallon down before you put it in your car and then your own fridge! Came here to get Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definite Edition for PS4 as nobody in the area had it, but thankfully this Target did! As I always say, Target is a step up from Wal-Mart as they are cleaner and pretty much easier to find anything. This location is in a very angry part of San Jose, but if you need what you're looking for and need it quick, then don't let that stop you. If I can deal with it, then I'm sure you will as well. Best thing about this Target wages on two factors. The first is the location. In the same plaza there is a Marshall's ( although, I prefer TJMAXX) world market ( absolutely love), Michaels, and Pet Smart. But what really tipped the scale was when they opened the Ulta inside the Target. Definite game changer! read more

I can't complain too much about this location, they are fairly large in size and do a decent job in keeping items fully stocked when they have them available. My biggest issue with this location is the fact that many of the employees don't know exactly where to find things throughout the store. When I came here, I asked two different people to help me locate two basic items but instead of giving me a location or general area where I could find them, we had to spend about 10-15 minutes walking up and down each aisle in order to locate them. read more

I'm a regular shopper here for my household, personal, and snack/beverage items. Perfect size store, not too big, and for the most part clean. I always find what I need. I also appreciate the assortment of higher-end beauty products and the mini Ulta store. That all said, there are HUGE issues that management needs to improve: - More security personnel in the front who do more than stand around. One of them should be fetching the carts every hour. Most of the time there aren't any carts at all! - Deter the homeless from loitering. It can be unpleasant and feels unsafe at times. - Improve the quality of the cashiers! A few are really kind and helpful but many hardly use their brains. Yet another reason why more people are shifting to self-checkout. - Haven't used the restrooms but based on other reviews, they're completely unsanitary. Hire a cleaning crew for the store and to maintain the restrooms. This store seems under managed lately, and it needs to improve. I'd imagine it's one of the higher-volume stores. read more
