***DON'T PURCHASE ANY GIFT CARDS FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!*** I purchased 6x VISA Gift Cards at this location about a week ago. Each of them was worth $100 for a total of $600. The cards were never used and still in their original packaging. When I attempted to use one of the cards today, I wasn't able to purchase anything because it had insufficient funds. I checked the balance online and it said the available balance was $0.00. I looked at the transaction details, and the only transaction was for a $100 charge to TARGET. This happened for all 6 of the gift cards I purchased ($600 total), and each of the cards only had one transaction to you know where, TARGET! The cards were purchased at TARGET and the only transaction, clearing out the entire balance of each card, was also for TARGET. HELLA SHADY! I called customer service and explained the situation, they told me they could override and give me replacement cards. Cool. I went into the store and then they told me they couldn't do anything and that I needed to call corporate. Called corporate and they told me they couldn't do anything and I needed to call VISA. In my opinion, something isn't adding up. Either TARGET is selling faulty inventory and then taking no responsibility or stealing from their customers with no repercussions. Either way, I would advise you to not purchase any gift cards from this location because they will not take any accountability and have you running in circles trying to get your money back. My wife was in this Target store yesterday and could not find anyone who worked their for assistance. She just decided to purchase a cell phone case hoping that it would fit her phone without the ability to try it. Today I went in the same Target Store on ECR in Santa Clara to also look at their cell phone covers. I found 3 I wanted to look at but could not locate any help. So I called the store and pushed the button for customer service and let it ring 10 times before hanging up . I tried it again , let it ring 15 times, ha ha, and still no pickup. Ok so I called back and pushed the button for HR figuring that someone would surely answer the phone. Nope , twice and no pickup. How in the HELL can the Head Manager even have a job here! This store serves a pretty decent upscalish area but if the Management can't hire more staff then they should be FIRED and Corporate needs to come in and redo this store. I'm not going to return here anytime soon. Very terrible operation. Oh and one final thought. IF I was a bad person say like a shop lifter...... after reading this review I might just come in like any shopper, having my little back pack on and inside having a hammer.... I got to this target all the time . However today in particular it was super packed. I was with both of my kids . My son is on the spectrum and he was getting overwhelmed , so I decided to go to the self check out . I had more than 10 times . However I was trying to prevent my son from getting overwhelmed more than he already was . The lady in charge of the front told me " you have more than 10 items " I said yes I know but my son can't wait in the long line. She said it again . The point of this review is workers shouldn't question people nor be snarky if they aren't sure what the situation is. There are never any cashiers working. I have been there 4 times in recent weeks, different times of day, and there are always at least 15 people in the self-check-out line with maybe one cashier working. This target will never be my favorite location, but every once in a while, you can find some really good deals. Their store brand will save you a fair amount of money, but many of their products can be found on Amazon for cheaper. I came here in the morning to get my coffee. The guy is making a coffee for an employee. I stand there for a min and the person he's making a drink for looks at my and says he's closed. If he's closed then why is he making you a coffee. It's 8:27am and it says they open at 8am. He didn't even bother to acknowledge me or apologize. I have to say this now while it is still fresh in mind... Back story: purchased a pair of AirPods yesterday for my son but he didn't like them because they didn't fit him well. So, I have been trying see what the return policy is for Apple products. For the life of me, I could not get anyone one on the phone from the store that I purchased it from... in fact I couldn't get anyone on the phone at about 7 locations. I FINALLY reached out to the Santa Clara location on El Camino and spoke to a wonderful person, Nani. Not only was she soooo pleasant to speak with but she was extremely helpful with her knowledge of the return policy on Apple products. I can't thank her enough for all of her help! I will say this, even though I only spoke to her over the phone, her level of service has been nothing but exceptional! And believe me.... Complete incompetent employee. Cashier could not scan price and told me she could not sell it to me (it was hair clips). I told her there was a whole bunch of them for sale. She just looked at me and gave them to another employee and carried on. I waited because I thought they were checking the price for me, but I was mistaken. As far as the cashier was concerned, my transaction was over. I never did get the hair clips. Plus, she was very young and moving at a snails pace. Usually, the young ones are quicker and more mentally sharp. I feel like she was high or maybe just really dumb. Either way, I won't be coming back to this location again. read more

I have been to Targets in so many cities. But when I visit Santa Clara, I have to shop here unfortunately. The managers need to be fired. The last 3 times in town, the lines are 30 deep with 1 register open and lines super long at self-checkout. You ask them to call for more cashiers, they give you a dumb look. Floor supervisors are not watching the front and making sure that it is going smoothly. Wish there was a Walmart instead. At least they open more registers. It is practically perfect, as you should expect for a new Target. I've shopped Target in most states, and this one has a bit nicer look, especially with the Electronics department to show off the phones. One thing that surprised me is that almost nothing in the store is written in Spanish. In Florida, every store gets extensive Spanish during a remodel. There seemed to be a bit more stock than most Target stores have. Considering what I've seen of the Sony Playstation 4 inventory at other Target locations, this store has all of Northern California's inventory. The grocery section was a bit thinner, but generally well-stocked. I took a couple of drinks and chips to the registers. Lines seemed a bit long but moved reasonably well. The cashier was having a bit of a problem ahead of me, having scanned something twice by accident. Rather than forcing the people to the service desk, as Walmart would do, the supervisor arrived quickly, and they were able to handle the refund on the spot efficiently with a few key presses, although they had some problem putting the money back on the debit card. To avoid crowds, I tried the drive-thru for the first time. At other Targets, I felt the parking was much closer to the entrance than this Target, and other Targets had much larger signs. It took me several times to find the location of this drive-thru. To locate, it's about 4-5 rows left of the exit. After placing my drive-thru order, I realized I forgot to order some items and unfortunately for that second order, drive-thru wasn't available, only store pickup. Though I really didn't want to go inside, I knew I needed to suck it up if I wanted my items. Initially I was going to do the drive-thru and park again for store pickup (there's a separate line for it so don't be alarmed if you see a long line.) The gentleman took my name and went inside to grab what I thought would be my drive-thru order but when he came out, he also had my in-store order with him! I had an extremely long day at work and was exhausted so him grabbing both my orders was godsend. After thanking him for picking up both my orders, he actually thanked ME for being a healthcare worker while I thanked him for all he did. Let's face it, essential workers all risk exposure every time we come across a patient/customer and it's nerve-wracking during these times. Today August 20 went to target santa clare went to the electric department, no one one was there to help and they didn't have any call area for help. I use the call box for help and it kept ringing and ringing and no answer. Finally found a worker went over and ask him to call someone for the electronic department, he didn't have a radio to call in so I kepted looking g around for help and found someone with a radio and finally got some help. I entering to do some shopping, however I stopped in the rest room first and what I saw and heard was very disturbing. First the rest room was a horrible mess...floors literally covered with all sorts of paper strewn everywhere. Second a woman was barricaded in a stall, some sir of paper stuffed around the door. She was verbally loud saying crazy things like this is the devils bathroom you better get out bad things are happening here along with cussing and the F word frequently, nonstop. I approached the customer return desk and reported it to the gal there (muslin, no offense intended, not racist, descriptive wearing her scarf). This is not about the rest of the store this is strictly for the electronics division. There is absolutely no customer care or responsibility in that department. I waited in line to get help after I couldn't find something, there was two people helping one customer behind the checkout stand after I was unable to find something I needed or needed some information. When it was my turn I told them what I was looking for and says yes we have it just give me a minute I'll meet you right over there. Nobody came for 10 minutes. I had to stand in line again yet another person was there and she was helping somebody else in another checkout register. I waited again she says I'll be right there she helped two more people I was the only one in line the first time now I have to wait for two other people in front of me. Not happy obviously she finally got out behind a counter and went to help somebody else looking for a TV. Very confused very upset I finally got somebody could help me. Explain to me what I needed got what I needed put it on the cash register counter to pay for it. Girl walked back I thanked her very much for helping me and then I told her for nothing because she was still helping yet another person. Got home gave my wife what she needed got in the bag I'll be damned if I only got half of what I purchased unbelievable. Call back very upset finally got hold of electronics after waiting in eternity kept getting hung up on had to call back call back call back. When I did finally get a hold of her it's a young lady that didn't want to help me the first time walked away and helped other customers even though she said she was going to meet me there right away and answer the phone and I'm asking for a manager. She asked me if I wanted to store manager or the electronics manager or if she could help me I post taste said absolutely not You're the one that I'm complaining about. She told me hold on she'll get somebody next thing I know a security guard is answering the phone telling me not to yell at this point I was not yelling but now I'm very upset and she said I was cussing absolutely was not cussing I certainly know how but I did not cuss or was not cussing very upset and she told me to stop yelling at the there is no electronics manager and that the store manager is out and Will not be back till later tonight. A store without a manager does this make sense not to me So the security guard wanted me to calm down at this point I am not going to come down I was calm before I talk to her before she lied to me and told me she was getting her manager but I am not going to talk to a security guard that with no authority to do anything. Nice friendly people here. Seems to be a pretty big store and well stocked! They also have the food section where you can get pizza, pasta, popcorn, pretzels, slushies, etc I saw they have a mermaid slush right now which piqued my interest (just cute and whimsical) so I got one to try. They give you a one size only cup to fill up yourself (they didn't label what flavor this was so I would guess something blueberry/tart) and then they give you sprinkles for the top. When target opened up years ago, we were super excited because it was so close to home, and the one that we used to go to was located on Coleman. Within the last year or so this place has gone downhill and it's quite embarrassing considering the great town that we live in. The front entrance is always dirty with the garbage bins overflowing, there is hardly ever any carts inside, but all out in the parking lot and for whatever reason the self-serve line is always 15 to 20 people deep while the main registers are rarely open. The only good thing I can say about this place is that Donald, the cashier is one of the best. Very friendly guy and you know he works very hard. Wish their corporate office would make some changes here. read more
