Not only do I buy my laundry detergent, Kashi cereal, DVDs, and all my household items at Target, but I come here for the designer clothing! Oh yes, designer clothing. Through the years of shopping at Target, I was able to find some awesome clothing and shoes from designers like Anna Sui, Jean Paul Gaultier, Zac Posen (I got a really cool dress, but hubbie says it looks like a bondage dress so he will not be caught being with me in that, Haha), Loeffler Randall shoes, Liberty to London (tops and pretty accent pillows). It has become my favorite place to go for designer clothes. I am always looking forward to the next fashion designer to come to Target! read more

This is my local Target. I go to target at least once or twice a week, whether it's for groceries or home goods. Overall the customer service is good, the cashiers are usually friendly, and quick. Besides the pushy speech about why I need a Target Red Card, everything is great. I use Cartwheel faithfully every visit to Target, I have the Target Perks on my Cartwheel app, and I always use my 5,000 perk for a movie. It used to be a free movie up to $20, now it's just $10 off a movie. Which I've had about 3 free movies, and I've used the $10 off a movie twice, today would be the third time. So I bought my groceries and picked a movie to use my 5,000 perk on. I noticed after the transaction is over and I look at my receipt, it didn't take the $10 off. So, naturally I go to Guest Services. Where I waited about 20 mins to then be greeted by a very unfriendly rude woman named, Ruby. I explained the issue, and that I used a Perk. She was extremely rude and said, "yeah.. I know what a perk is okay?" I said alright, I'm just trying to explain since a lot of customers don't have the Perks on their Cartwheel app. She said, "Its because the movie needs to exceed $10." I told her it was $19.99, so it's not the issue. She rolled her eyes and said well it's because it's a new release, I explained that I used my last Perk the day La La Land came out, and the day they released, Moonlight. I save my perks for the release of movies I want and I go the day it comes out. That wasn't the issue. She never sorted the issue out. So I left with nothing being sorted and feeling very upset about the interaction I had with her. She was extremely rude to me, giving me attitude, rolling her eyes, and just being a mean old lady who clearly hates her job and the customers who she has to "deal" with. It's sad to think she was working in "Guest Services", when clearly she does NOT know a thing about Guest Services or how to be accommodating, patient, or relaxed when it comes to handling a customer complaint or an issue. It's disappointing this experience makes me look differently at my local Target, I might just drive down the other way to the Target near Cypress instead. Very shocked to see on your named tag that you're a Trainer. She's just training her employees to be rude. Ruby, if you're having a bad day, leave it at home. Don't take it out on me who did nothing to you. Especially when I am a very loyal customer to your company. Clearly I spend way too much money with your store to have had countless 5,000 perks. You give Target an awful reputation. You should think of getting a new job where you don't need to be in Customer Service. It's clearly not a natural calling for you. This is a complement to store's associates. I lost my wallet there last week, when I dropped my purse and it fell out. I wore a mask and it obstructed my view, so I didn't see it falling out. Almost had a heart attack when discovered the loss while at cash register. Thankfully, the wonderful associates- Kaila at the register, Bridgett who managed the line to register and Sarah at customer desk reassured me that it will be found. And it was. They were the most kind, compassionate and understanding associates. I don't know who was a good samaritan who brought it to service desk. But to them my heartfelt thanks as well. Target in seal beach. Really clean and friendly staff. Place has some inventory but I guess all stores are limited in stock. We came to get some items for my sons birthday. We was able to find a nice box bike for him plus pads and a lock. We also scored buying games. Plenty of board games. This was the best. Knowing kids have to stay home board games was the winner. You gotta remember was limited on the choices but we scored big time. All in all be careful wherever you go cover up. Staff here was being very clean and careful. With the availability of groceries and pretty much everything you would ever need, Target seemed to have become that one stop shop that Gemco and Fedco wanted to become back in the day. The store was well managed, clean, and well organized. I was able to find everything that I needed to buy, pay for my items, and be on my way in no time. They had easy to use self-checkout kiosks. There was plenty of parking spots outside. Overall this was one of the better Targets. read more

This is the fanciest Target I've ever been to. It is clean, everything is well stocked, it is crazy quiet down every aisle, but the amaze balls star goes to their liquor section!! It looks like a mini- Bev Mo inside. There a few rows of wine, a refrigerated section with beer and rows of hard liquor and mixers. I don't know if it was actually more alcohol that they keep in stock, or, it was just their fancy presentation! Even their customer service section looks fancy with bright lights and a section with batteries and different essentials you may need while picking up your order at the customer service desk. I then use the self - checkout and everything runs smoothly. Scanning, cartwheel my coupons...it was just a pleasant experience. read more

Target. You've lost a good loyal customer. Your online inventory is inaccurate, causing folks to drive to your location to pick up an order which apparently can be cancelled without any notification. Additionally, your corporate customer service call center reps want to put the responsibility of getting the hold on MY MONEY released, all on me. They will "hold" my money for a WEEK before giving it back. Lastly, no one at your location could explain why my order was cancelled. I will advise all my friends to avoid ordering online from TARGET during the holiday season lest they end up in the same situation- with no product and still out the money paid for it, for at least a week. And btw, MERCHANTS are the only ones who get "holds" released from an account as you are the one who initiates that hold with a customer's permission. To put this back on your customer after you are not able to provide the product is not a very smart business practice. read more

Ive lived in this area for 15 years and over the course of time, mainly the past few years, this Target has consistently gotten worse! Management at this location does not seem to care at all about customers. The shelves are always empty and never restocked in a timely manner. Don't get me started on check out. Lines are always long and they only have the slowest cashiers working at the busiest times! Even when you see team leads nearby, zero help. You're hoping that when they see how backed up lines are they'd open more registers but that does not happen. Very frustrating. For this particular location, I expect better service and better quality products and that is not what is being delivered. Today at check out the system was extremely slow in scanning items, slow at tallying up purchases and slow at completing the transaction. Its gotten very tacky over the years and its disappointing. The Starbucks inside has great customer service. Ashlee was friendly, courteous and made my Maple Pecan latte. Since it was my first one, she said if I didn't like it, she'd remake it. It was tasty! There are 3 Starbucks in this strip mall (one in Ralphs and a Starbucks near Seal Beach Blvd. This Starbucks has plenty of seating and usually isn't busy when I go. The store is huge, clean and organized. Just wish the makeup section wasn't overlit. Clothes have gotten more expensive but they have a good selection of kids clothes. read more

I love this Target! For starters, the traditional Target layout keeps me coming back for more! Others store have been recently remodeled and I refuse to shop those stores. The team members are so friendly. The store is tidy and neat and clean. The electronics team member was kind and patient answering our questions about the different TVs available. I really appreciate most of the accessories in apparel still being mostly kept to one spot so I don't have to search high and low for all the options available. Seriously Target, don't make me look, I don't care for scavenger hunts. I want to leisurely browse and feel good about the $500 cart I have happily and blissfully amassed. I like that beauty is still on regularly sized shelves. I don't like other guests looking at me over the shelf as I attempt to pick a lip gloss that suits me. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. Parking is great. The music being piped through the store is a bit distracting. It would be nice to have it quiet like the good old days of getting lost in Target. On my way heading home I forgot to get some stuff on my last Target trip so I remember this one off the 405 in Seal Beach since I knew the one by me would have been closed. This one is located in a shopping center near the 405. Lots of parking as expected being in a large shopping center. Inside set up similar like the ones I go to by me Redondo Beach and Gardena where they double stack the registers vs single row registers like Torrance and Carson. Some of the staff walking around the store very friendly smiling saying hello. I did the self checkout which was easy and fast. Overall a nice Target. read more

***Update 9.2.07 Lord, the clue phone was ringing here, and apparently I wasn't picking up. That, and I didn't even take my own advice. I put my 3-year-old son in the car today to head over to Target because we were out of m&ms (a rare tragedy in my house,) plus I needed some more laundry detergent, diapers were on sale, etc. etc. I went around and around looking for the detergent I use (all natural Seventh Generation stuff - perfectly biodegradable and fabulous,) and I've always been able to find it at the Target on Bellflower. Guess what? Out of stock. They also had advertised diapers on sale, and they were out of them too (the size and brand they listed.) Please see photos of the large swaths of missing products on the shelves. Shot these today. Once again I enlisted the "assistance" (hell, if you can call it that) of the manager, who I'm pretty sure was about 17, named Angel, and he was less than helpful. He said that they've had inventory problems for a while now while they've tried to "re-do" the store. I told him I've been having problems with them for nearly 2 years now. He also said they've been getting a lot of complaints. Lovely. And so, dear readers, I am done. I'm not going back; I've given up. I now have to get back in the car and head over to the Target on Bellflower which is what I should have done in the first place, dammit. I discovered this location when I moved up near El Dorado Park, and quickly learned it was the nicer store over the ghetto-ish one on Bellflower. I'd shopped there for years (so much so that friends called me from the entrance and said "where do I find lightbulbs?" and I'd walk them through to the section over the phone.) This place was MY Target. Then, suddenly and without warning, they changed the floorplan around, and then for months, there were these huge gaping empty sections of the store, particularly (or seemingly so) in the sections where I needed stuff. I was particularly perturbed to see that they were always out of our cat litter, and Yelpers, for those of you who have a fussy puddy, well, you just can't be switching litter on them. So that was the start of it - cat litter, then our deodorant, kids' juice boxes, then they told us they didn't carry slips (the undergarment) in the summer time, and all this weird stuff. I came to realize that I had no idea why I was still shopping there, and it was a huge blow, let me tell you. Well, in all my hormone-fueled third trimester fury, I sat down with a manager and told him my woes. His excuse was that they were making way for some seasonal stuff, but that was such a load, since it was about May by then, their Christmas stuff gone, and fully into the summer swing of things. So, if I need the assurance that I'll be able to get something in-stock (like litter if we're out,) then I trek over to the Bellflower Target, which isn't as bad as I'd remembered. I miss my Seal Beach Target though. I hope someday they'll get their shit together and give me a call. Maybe they just weren't that into me. read more

This is the worst Target I've been to. I ordered online for pickup of maternity pants within 2 hours so I can use the Target rewards that are set to expire (you only can use these rewards online) and get a quick turnaround (I'm 37 weeks pregnant so standing for too long is very tiring). I got there in 3.5 hours and it's still not ready. I'm like ok they are busy, I can pick it up myself but can you mark it as picked up so I can skip the line. Granted it was already paid online. The old lady at customer service was like no you have to cancel your purchase online and go in line. By doing this, I cannot use my rewards because it's not an online purchase anymore. She didn't listen and instead went to help the customer behind me who was another old lady, and whose order wasn't ready either, but yet went above and beyond for her to get her order! How blatantly rude. Not coming back to this Target when there are others nearby (Signal Hill and Long Beach) with better customer service for ALL of their customers. read more

Arrived to target before 9:58pm tonight which is not quite closing time and was rudely turned away. I'm a local resident and always come to this location right before closing (I run in quickly and checkout within a few minutes) at least 1-3 times a week and have never had an issue. I've never been turned down by any employees nor have I seen any employees close and lock the doors before actual closing time. I advised the worker Ayleen that it hadn't turned 10pm yet, she looked at her watch and stated all registers had already been closed and proceeded to ask me to leave. I suggest either the closing time be changed to an earlier time or training/re-training your employees like Ayleen to stay open until actual closing time on a Saturday at 10pm. It's not a good look to be turning away customers let alone repeat customers, you lost my business. Great job Ayleen! read more

If you shopped this store and tried using a Manufacturers coupon, you learned very quickly they will do everything in their power NOT to honor it.. I had a coupon for a Free Gillette Venus razor and the response I got from "Janine" the line manager was; "We don't have to honor Manufacturers coupons if we don't want too" Really? That attitude was not the only occasion BTW. And their return policy is getting worse, Target's return policy has risen to near the level as Kmart and Sears, If you misplaced your receipt and you paid cash, you own it! don't even bother making the trip, They wont even do an exchange, "NO receipt, NO exchange" period! BTW, I went to CVS across the way and they accepted the Manufacturers coupon for that razor without issue.. Drive up orders have often taken over 20 minutes. I went into the store this week to purchase a few items and there were only two cashiers open and lines were 10+ people long. The CVS Pharmacists was incompetent (short Asian woman). We asked a question about Benadryl cream and sounded like she was lost and didn't know her left from her right. Then I continue to purchase the cream where the pharmacy was and she said "she couldn't" Wtf? So I can't buy a product in the pharmacy AT THE PHARMACY? That's is the numbest thing I've ever heard!
