Another great neighborhood Target experience! This target is a little older than the others in the area but no less great. Has all the traditional departments and deals you need. I stopped in to pick up a few items and of course left with more than I anticipated getting. They have a great deal on swim wear right now, buy one get one half off. This store is horrible and filled with lazy employees who refuse to do their job. Each time I've placed an order for pickup, I get a notify items are not available but walk right in and find them. I have been trying to buy a bicycle for a few months. I have bought in a rush in the past and it always failed. Target has bicycles overpriced in comparison to Walmart for example. Target advertized a sale for the 4th of July on all bicycles for 25% off. Not true, the sale was created to attract consumers so they can get to the store and still buy something else. There was no bikes discounted at all, in facts there were no bikes to buy on all nearby Target stores near Tempe or Mesa. Deceitful tactics like this may affect the likelihood of Target surviving the next recession. Walmart got my business for the SAME bicycle at a very reasonably price. And no, I do not need to buy a $700 dollars bicycle to ride in Phoenix.Advice Investors and regional managers to use their heads a little bit more. read more

Never enough staff working here. They keep items locked up on a shelf (in this case, a $7 flea collar). Took at least 10 minutes of walking all over the store to find an employee, then only the electronics staff person had the right key, and that person didn't respond to being called for a good 10 minutes. I tried to get a manager to help, and was told they've changed their structure and they don't "have" store managers anymore. Great idea, super helpful. Finally, I got the person who "used to be" a manager there and she was able to get the person with the right key. All over a $7 flea collar. Come on, Target. Staff your store properly and don't make cheap things such a damn hassle. I can understand locking up a $500 stereo, but a $7 flea collar? read more

Staff is always friendly, the store is clean and organized. I love their new renovations, it looks so much better and updated inside. The only thing I'd wish they'd do better is their events. This is a Target corporate issue I'm sure, but the last Halloween event at this location was a let down compared to their email they sent out advertising it. This Target gets the job done. Their shelves tend to be in a little disarray, and their makeup selections are generally lacking, but other than superfluous purchases I didn't even need to make, this Target has never let me down. The grocery section is probably the cleanest and best in the store. I love perusing these aisles. Their clothing section is pretty diverse, but because the store is somewhat small, it's packed in tight. It's a challenge to maneuver the area. The biggest perk is its central location to southern Tempe. It's also very rarely busy during the day, which is awesome! read more

Now let me just start by saying I freaking LOVE Target. Okay, so anyway. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this location, it's an ancient store compared to the new ones. Don't tlet that fool you though, it is remodeled. The store remodel is a good and a bad thing however. I just moved to this area recently so I'm not sure in what shape this store was before the facelift, but I'm sure it needed it. Very nice and refreshed inside, clean, your typical Target red EVERYWHERE. It's already a kinda weird layout to begin with seeing as this location is set up as a square rather than a normal, longer rectangle most Target stores are layed out as, but in the remodel they added a grocery section with fresh food and more pantry options. I'd add a star for that and the added convienence the extra grocery brings now that it is a p-fresh location like all other Target's have become, but in order to add that larger grocery area they've had to significantly shrink other departments in the store to compensate, so minus extra star we just added. Moral of the story here is this Target is great if you just need to run in for a few basics, but if you have detailed shopping or you're looking for something specific it's probably a better idea to drive either way on McClintock to the Tempe Marketplace Target or Chandler Santan Target. This location is still nice to get you by though. They have a food court with Pizza Hut Express, Pharmacy tucked way back in the corner, and a nice Photo Lab up by the front door, which is my favorite thing here. They took photo out of most Target Stores so it's nice this has one being closest to my house to just ride up quickly and print out a few pics! Overall just a very standard, plain Target Store. This is just like your average Target store. The store is always nice and clean. The items I've come for have always been in stock. Target prices are tough to beat for most items. Plenty of parking is available. The reason this location is marked down for me is the grocey section is much smaller than the location in Tempe Marketplace and one worker there. The rest of the staff has always been nice and helpful. There is also one really rude male register worker. He's been a jerk to me and my wife and both of us on seperate occasions. I'm happy to tell the story if you are really eager to hear offline. He acts like he doesn't want to be there and is not very friendly. If you see a young kid, with an emo type hairdo, save yourself some trouble and go to another line. This location inlcudes a snack bar and the restrooms are clean. read more

This is seriously the worst target in the metro area. Poor customer service and the last 4 times I've been they are either out of Icee cups or the Icee machine is out of order. It's been 2 weeks since I was last here and it's still out of order! Lol Today we quickly got the essentials and headed for the checkout. There was one lane open and the self checkout. Both were super backed up and unnecessary considering there was about 3 extra employees starting at the lines of people becoming irritated and impatient. We ended up ditching the cart and headed to the Tempe location where the regular gentlemen cashier at the food court is always incredibly nice and makes sure his Icee machines works. read more

As a mom, Target is pretty much a staple. We've all seen the memes about needing diapers and spending $200 on throw pillows. Joking aside, Target offers good deals on baby essentials--usually there's some kind of incentive in the form of a Target gift card for spending a certain amount of money on select items. Target also sells the formula we use at better price then anywhere else in town. Unfortunately, the last four times I've been in to this location our formula hasn't been on the shelf. Once an associate was able to find it in the back. The last time, I found the manager who is usually on top of it and told him they were having a stocking issue. He asked if I had been told the closest store that had the item in stock. I had. But at the end of the day lugging a kid or two, it's not convenient to drive to another store. He also said they'd restock on Saturday--still no formula. So I ordered a case on Amazon. Think of all the money I'll save on throw pillows:) read more

Target stores are the best, and this location is no exception. This location is easy to get in and out. Changing rooms are gender neutral and family friendly. Returning items are a breeze. They have the fitbit aria scale here! So it's $129.99. The fitbit flex in slate or violet is $99.99. Yeesh! I don't shop here routinely but this is one of the stores I come to purchase cd's when they're on sale. For whatever reason they have a much better selection than Mall Wart and they usually have a new release, that I might like, at a low price every couple of months. What I don't like about Target is their cheezy baskets of seasonal items on display near the entrance. Lots of poor quality, Made in China items, sold for next to nothing. I see most of this stuff as waste that frequently winds up at Goodwill and/or landfills. The store is generally clean and shelves stocked. The staff is pleasant enough. Not sure how much profit they've generated now that all employees walk around attached to walkie talkies (you remember those right? I mean you're old enough to remember those, right?), but wish they could turn the volume down on the things and possibly refrain from following me while talking on them. I've always been a fan of target, definitely not because of the deals but because of the higher quality of staff and presentation compared to their competitors. But this target specifically is making me run to my nearest Walmart because they are always low stocked, the staff try but never know where things are and I'm constantly lost at this location. This store needs an overhaul, and need a serious look at from corporate. What can I say...it's Target. Who doesn't love Target!? I enjoy this location because it's separate from any major shopping plaza's so I don't have to deal with a huge crowd of cars trying to enter the parking lot. I do however find that the parking lot here is a bit small. Granted there is ample space around the building. But there's just 3 short rows located right in front of the door. Which is ideal parking space for Arizona summers. The actual store itself is always clean and for the most part always stocked. They have great employees that are always helpful. read more

Did they have what I need ? Yes. One employee in the beauty section asked if I needed help, all other employees keep there heads down and say nothing. Management makes jokes about drinking with the self checkout girls, again 4 people standing at SELf CHECKOUT and no one helping customers. Piles of clothes on floors and shelves throughout the store. Not sized, nothing is in the right place according to the app. They are constantly unboxing but to find one small black purse I had to comb through piles of other purses. Their wild fable line at the front of the store looks like euphoria vomited, again nothing sized and piles of things everywhere. Attempted to explore the kids aisles many items were not in the correct space and had to use my app to find the prices. If I was coming to a store to find prices, look for things myself why am I not getting paid? Unfortunately Target used to be cool but even Walmart is cleaner now.... read more

This week has been terrible and it is only Wednesday. Instacart double charged me for an order that was over $200 and as soon as that second charge went through our bank cancelled our credit cards just as a precaution. I was in the middle of another online order when I found this out. Then yesterday PayPal "gifted" me almost $100. Turned out it was a refund from a business in another state. I have never shopped or visited in this state and someone at PayPal put the money in my account by mistake. Today I got very sick and my wife reminded me that she had placed a curbside order at the Target on Baseline in Tempe. I told her there was no way I could go today and she said we had until tomorrow to get it. I will spare you the gory details of my afternoon. Wife decided to call Target to see what the options were since we usually do pickup. She called and spoke to Liz. She said that Liz was the most customer oriented person she had ever spoken to at Target and she was also the nicest. We do a lot of shopping at this location and we have a lot shipped to us. Never had a problem and we have shopped here for decades. Liz told her how to add a few extra days to the pickup time. If I can't get it then we can either have a friend pick it up since wife no longer drives. Liz said we also had the option of just cancelling this part of the order. My wife was so impressed with Liz that she wanted to speak to the supervisor. My wife said she was actually connected to Justin who was the night's closing manager. He too was friendly and customer service oriented. As a matter of fact I have been pretty impressed with everyone here especially during the Pandemic. We have used Pickup and had many bags of stuff graciously loaded into our car. The people at the service desk have been terrific. We usually get what we order too, though like many stores across the US, certain items are hard to find due to the virus. To sum up we really like this Target. We appreciate all of the people who work here. The store has always been clean and well stocked. Lately we haven't been able to physically shop inside due to being in quarantine ourselves...so we are so grateful to those who fill our orders and bring it out to the car or ship it to us. And a final big shout out to Liz and Justin for their great attitude and their wonderful customer service. read more

This is a great Target. Lots of parking in the lot with trees ,so you can keep your car nicec and cool in the heat. They now carry all the food items you could want. Fresh food and meat ,everything. They have a Pharmacy which has different hours than the store. But,still always open at most times. Good prices, and lots of nice things...Don't forget to bring your own bag and you get .5cents off on each bag! Get another 5% off if you have a Target card. read more

This is a great Target, but to let you know up front they do not have a garden center anymore. After a large remodel a few years ago they expanded the store, gave it a face lift, and removed the garden center. This Target, like most, is light and bright with friendly staff that you can actually find. They are always available to answer any questions, and usually ask you if you need assistance first. They do not have a Starbucks inside, however there is an amazing coffee shop across the street behind the gas station called Steve's Espresso. I highly recommend checking them out before or after your trip to Target. read more

Been coming to this location since I moved to this side of town in 1998. Employees are always glad to help. The pharmacy is quick and gives you calls when your prescription is ready for pick up. I wish there was a way to comment about the pharmacy alone. Target itself is fine...however, the fact that they switched to CVS Pharmacy within Target is upsetting and frustrating. Prices have gone up. Waits have gone up. The staff don't know how to use the new computer system, nor are they very friendly. It sure was great using the Target Pharmacy before they switched over. I've had several bad customer service experiences at this store. Most recently, they had a toy that was marked at $6.99 and rang up at $12.99. When I showed them the display price, they said that it was a "Vendor Item" and refused to override the price. It was very frustrating, because I'm trying to teach my kids to stay within a budget, and my 7-year-old son had just spent an hour finding a toy that he wanted, and that he could afford. I attempted to contact Target customer support by phone and by e-mail, but nobody answered the customer support line, and even the customer support web-page was down. If I can't trust the prices at a store, it makes shopping there with children nearly impossible. read more
