Target in Vallejo looks good outside and most of the inside. The store is pretty well stocked and the few workers I met were pleasant and helpful. Weekly sale items can be good value. Compared to Target where I live, this one is pretty messy, especially the clothing department. Clothing on the floor is not picked up. Who wants to buy clothes that was piled on the store floor? Does store management care? There must be a big problem with pilferage at this location. Even socks and underwear are under lock and key. You have to press a button for a worker to unlock for you. However, I like the self-serve checkouts. I guess it's not so bad here that management removed them. read more

There are plenty of parking space and it is conveniently located next to different stores and different businesses walking distance. This is about the Target 360 loyalty program. This program has reached unfathomable levels of complexity. After due deliberation, I selected a red card that seemed to exist only to give me a 5% off discount if I paid in cash at the register. I called that unbelievably specific. Today I tried to use it for the first time. According to the extremely helpful and expert Cashier, the card may have not worked because I didn't have the target mobile app loaded on my phone. Apparently I need the card and the app to automatically upload my coupons to the register? So what is this, two factor authentication for coupons? I love Target, but not this location. Usually I chose Target over Walmart because it's a better shopping experience with similar prices especially after Target Circle offers. This Target feels like a Walmart. Items are disorganized especially areas like women's intimates. Inventory accuracy is hit or miss. The items in stock are also hit or miss. Half the personal care/beauty items are locked up behind glass. (To be fair it's been easy to flag down an employee to open it.) Recently in Q1 of 2024 they changed the self check out to a limit of 10 items. So lines are long. They also have an issue with solicitors/loitering. They often have people outside asking for signatures. I've had people come up me inside the store while I'm shopping inviting me to a church function. I come here out of necessity and convenience. The pricing is alright. Parking is easy and plentiful. Tesla chargers in the back. But if you have a choice, the Target in Vacaville is superior. read more

I had a frustrating experience at the Vallejo Target. I was trying to buy a $20 iPhone charger, but it was locked in a case. I waited for assistance while employees either ignored me or stared at me like I was crazy--or worse, like I was trying to steal--just because of how I was dressed or looked. Loss prevention was clearly watching me on the cameras, but no one called for help. The only person who helped me was an employee named Lenny, who didn't even work in electronics or as a cashier. She stepped in, unlocked the case, and was polite and professional. While I appreciated her help, it's ridiculous that no one from the appropriate departments stepped up. Target, do better. Customers shouldn't feel ignored, judged, or profiled while shopping. Lenny saved this review from being one star, but the rest of the team needs serious improvement. read more

Early this morning, I shopped at Target for groceries. I want to commend Noah working in the produce and dairy section, who went to the back to get eggs for me. There were none on the shelves because they had not yet been restocked and the workers were shelving other items in the area. Also, another worker helped my husband and I look for blue cheese and actually checked to see if the store was stocking it anymore. It isn't, so we will get it elsewhere, however, it was nice to know to stop searching. Another produce worker guided me to the jalapeño peppers, and that was great because it was a fast find! Thanks to ALL the workers in the produce/dairy section of Target. I am thankful for the convenience of buying groceries, household goods, and clothing/accessories all in one store: TARGET! Well if you're a black male by yourself getting birthday gifts to send to friends back in Wisconsin, you will be followed by AP the entire time. When asked I asked if he (the middle aged male, with black shirt, black covid mask, no items or cart, and a target-red shade cloth in his hand covering something) was AP he said "uhhh no.". I then asked how he understood I referring to Asset Protection. He says "Uhhh just making conversation". I then ask where the gift cards are just to see his response and he then gives me directions like an employee. Odd Went here for a birthday present for a girl who loves target but I guess it's also my last time shopping at any target. The management of this Target staffs this locating with more rent a cops than cashiers. Not saying there is an abundance of officer Doofys and it's an unsafe location. There were two mall cops by the door watching their phones. One cashier. One cashier at 6pm on a weekday with the line backed up 6 isles back. I heard nobody wants to work. Horrible place to work. They seem great at the beginning but then the next thing you know, if you are a good worker, they dump EVERYTHING on YOU. Management disappears and never supports you once you have settled in as if you never need assistance when backed up. The main HR person (initials AH) will give you good support in the beginning but as soon as you say no to things (coming in on your day off, asking to take on more responsibilities but for no additional money, etc.) they cut your hours, put all that new responsibility on you anyway, but then start writing you up if you can't get everything done. Management and Leads have their favorites and so, when your working, you might often find your working alone because the Management, their Leads and their favorites will be in the back socializing constantly. As for service, there are some amazing people that work there but they are always the ones burdened with a TON of work, desperately trying to keep their job by appeasing HR and Management. They, however are the ones that are also the nicest. They care about you, it's just so hard for them when Management and HR has them worried about having some unfounded reason to let them go. It's like working in an environment where Management and their pet employees intimidate the hard good workers. The store is often in disarray and there are always a bunch of loiterers in front that you have to get past. As for security, they are so easy to distract that people are always walking out without paying. read more

Just purchased super smash bros from target. Come home and open the game and there's a 3D printed switch cartridge in there with a sticker to a completely different game. Come on target do some quality control on your returns. This is absolutely ridiculous, especially for spending $60+ on this. Do yourself a favor and go to GameStop for any game purchases. Doesn't surprise me as a local resident of Vallejo. I get times are tough but come on! I'm just glad a parent didn't purchase this as a gift for their kids. They would have been devastated! They restricted the self checkout to 10 items. So at 9:30 at night the self checkout is empty yet the one open line with a cashier has a line 8 baskets long. How many people will want to wait? Update***** Recently I've had several pleasant experiences at this store. You enter the store, there's always someone to greet you, could be an employee or a security. (Shut out to the African American security guy with long braided hair). The return department is always helpful and very quickly. The collection of merchandise is sufficient and you can always find something to buy. I have never seen a mess or unorganized department at this store. My favorite staff at this store is electronics. I found myself here because my Aunt and Uncle (who I was riding with) needed to grab some tea candles. your store located in Vallejo, California is a travesty. Let's start with the absolutely poor lighting in the parking lot where vulnerable people walking to their cars can easily be attacked. As you walk into this location, the first thing you'll see is overflow, garbage cans, and typically there's trash on the floor; maybe you'll find a shopping cart that actually works. There are a few associates that do a nice job, but for the most part, lots of people are standing around, and the so-called security is on their phones 95% of the time. You have criminals out in front of the store soliciting and being extremely aggressive, which is absolutely astonishing that this is allowed. The interesting thing is when I go to the Walnut Creek location, it's a completely different experience. So, is this a Vallejo thing? The bottom line is the residents of Vallejo deserve a better experience. Target Corporation, who walks around with this banner of woke and wants to be a light in the community, and all this other liberal nonsense, definitely doesn't walk the walk in Vallejo. This location is so bad, and the surrounding area is so dangerous, I will not allow my wife and kids to come here without me being with them. I had dropped off a friend at her dental appointment located near the Target in Vallejo and decided to stop by for a few things I needed. I had not shopped at this Target for some time and was pleasantly surprised that they are modernizing like the other Targets I had been to recently. I shopped mostly in their food and beverage section. I really appreciated that they are offering more of a variety of quality brands and healthier choices. Found some interesting items that I had not seen before. At checkout I really admired the young man who was helping us. The customer before me was not very pleasant to him for no apparent reason, but he remained professional and friendly throughout their interaction. And when it was my turn, he was very kind asking if I needed bags or was I part of Targets rewards program and just making and responding to conversation. Target is lucky to have a quality employee like this young man. Keep it up! read more

Clean store. Aisles are wide and a good size for shopping the grocery section. They have a great over the counter medication area. I didn't notice a pharmacy, but they had what I needed for a quick stop in and out. The cashier was very customer friendly and professional. Parking is a super challenge. I have been shopping in this target for years. I love target but this location is somehow disappointing. I have to say this place has been improving so much for the last 2 years. From stinky store to fresh store. Big improvement. But I think there is still room to improve. First the clothes department is a mess. You basically cannot find what you want. Staffs in that department seems not care much. Dairy sections also out of inventory aka milk, creamer, which is very inconvenient. However I think they keep the meat and fruits in a good quantity on hand and they look fresh. Last time there i has just few items so I decided to go self checkout. Out of 6 self check out there were only 2 were working. So what's the point having self check out and machines are not working. I think somehow this store is somehow unorganized from department to department. Overall, it has a big improvement from 2 years. Update: I honestly will try to avoid this store from now on. Went there to have maybe 12 items in my cart so i wanted to do self check out. (No one in line)! The staff there stopped us and said only for 10 items or less. I said I only going to pay for 6 items and my fiancé is paying for the other 6. She said no and direct us to WAIT in line for a cashier. The whole time i was looking at the self checkout area. Empty! Seriously they made us wait in line for nothing. And the staff at the self check out station was doing NOTHING! Update 2: Today it was even more horrible experience. The guy who collecting the shopping carts blocked the whole road with 100 carts for like 15 mins! OMG does corporate headquarters for Target have any idea how poorly run this store is? Maybe they don't care because it's in Vallejo, but they should. Employees standing around talking to one another. Shelves that are half empty. One very very slow cashier with about 10 people in line. Several of the self-check out registers are broken. I rarely ever shop here because the store is so poorly run. When I do I often leave a cart full of stuff because the lines are ridiculously long and there never seems to be a manager actually MANAGING this store. It's a real don't bother place. Growing up in the late 1980's Target was the only location in the Bay Area. This was the first Target I have seen. Through out the years this location has been remodel. I am pretty surprise that there is a Starbucks inside. Inside Target is OK. I don't know if it is people that shop there that make the mess but Target does their best to clean up. I am curious what are they going to do with the empty garden section. I wish they could expand that area into something unique. Parking can be heard to find. I go to all the targets nearby and this one always lacks in service from employees. They take a while to help and some don't even bother to try. I work in customer service so I know exactly what bad service looks like and every-time I try to ask an employee for help at this store, I get no where with them. read more
