I've been coming here for years, which makes it disappointing to see the quality and experience decline. The maneish used to be consistently soft and fresh, and while the lahmejune and cheese borek are still decent, the overall quality hasn't been the same. The lahmejune and spinach borek also seem to be getting spicier over time. The main reason for this review is the customer service. The woman who helped me last Friday morning was unwelcoming, and when I asked if the pastries could be warmed up, I was told they were hot. Unfortunately, when I got to my car, the cheese pastry was cold. With limited parking, rising prices, and no other customers in the shop at the time, I expected better service. With several new bakeries in the area, I'll be trying other options moving forward. read more

What a sad experience. I have been coming here forever for their lahmahjun and it has completely gone downhill. I was in the area and stopped in to get my fix and was so excited to get the fresh batch right out of the oven. It is nothing like it used to be, the flavor is awful now and whatever 'meat' is actually on it, is all gristle. It's the worst lahmahjun I've ever had - how could they go so wrong???!!! It is what it is... Get it while they have it.. The lahmajune here is delicious! The service is ok, you are greeted and helped. The inside smells pleasant, and you could see some of the magic. But it's mainly order your stuff, get it to-go, eat elsewhere. read more

1 star Very disappointing experience today. I went into Taron Bakery and waited in line to purchase one item. While I was waiting, another woman walked in, spoke Armenian with the cashier, and was allowed to cut in front of me and place an order for around 20 items. I asked the cashier if she was going to ring me up first since I had already been waiting and only had one item. She told me no, because the woman had called in her order and they had to prioritize it. That makes absolutely no sense to me. I have called in orders to this bakery before and have still been expected to wait in line when I arrived. If the policy is that phone orders get priority, then that should be applied consistently to everyone. What bothered me most was the way I was treated when I questioned it. I felt completely disregarded and like my time didn't matter. Given that the cashier and customer were speaking Armenian together while I was being pushed aside. I don't have a problem with someone picking up a large phone order, but there needs to be a fair and consistent system. Letting someone walk in after me, cut directly in front of me, and place a huge order while I had been patiently waiting to buy one thing was incredibly disrespectful. I've had cheese and spinach borek from here long time ago, it was ok. The quality now is not worth coming back anymore plus the middle aged woman cashier gave me stale/old/cold/bland/ boreks. Lambajin: 2/5 (actually it is 5/5 if you like healthy, nonfat, lower carbohydrates meat pie) A spicy 1 foot long cheese pie : 5/5 but it has to be very warm Manouche : they gave it to me from a bag and they did not care to warm it up for me. Still to be fair, I will give it five out of five because I ate it cold and it was surprisingly really good. Rude lady working up front. Customer service 0. Attitude 100%. A little smile wouldn't hurt you know. I asked for certain items and she started bagging them up when she was done she just presented the amount due so I asked her why one of my items was missing she said it's cause we don't have any. Would've been nice if you told me that as you were bagging the rest of my order. This is the 3rd experience I've had with her and I'm done. Showing up in slides no socks to work is beyond me. Walked in at 1:45pm today and 0 options available or else we'd have to wait 30 minutes. While waiting in line, 2 Armenians had already cut us off and began taking their orders while I was clearly visibly in front of the person taking orders the person taking the orders didn't even acknowledge the fact that we were in line. Very rude service here and no English spoken here as well so it makes us feel very uncomfortable, especially when we're in line. I'm appalled at the service here. My father came to get a perashki and lamajun which were cold even after he asked them to heat it up. He sat down to eat and was disgusted by the dirty tables and dirty salt/pepper shakers. He threw away all his food/utensils and as he was leaving an employee ran outside and yelled "hey you, come clean up after yourself, I'm not going to throw away your trash for you." We were confused as we threw everything away but shocked nonetheless by this behavior. I would never return to this bakery and I would steer others away from doing so as well. read more
