I visited Tarpon River brewing while visiting my sister in Fort Lauderdale. I loved the vibe of the old warehouse. They had live music playing upon arrival which was great. The only issue was it was mighty loud if you wanted to talk. We were seated right away and tried multiple different beers. I really enjoyed the honey ale. It Paired nicely with the food we ordered. Went to Tarpon River Brewing after work on a weekday and was able to snag a spot on the inside bar. The ambiance is that of a warehouse brewery with a small indoor-outdoor bar. The bar service was good. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, both of which I enjoyed. I also tried a new non-alcoholic Patagonia beer which went well with the burger. For the beers I would give them 8.9/10 You can get a 5oz, 12 oz or 16 oz and they came out quick and cold. The place was cool it felt like being on a boat yard but in the middle of the city lol. However even though it was a cooler night it was still hot in there even though we were by the fans. The music was low which is good for talking but it doesn't give it much of a vibe or ambience and the wings were 2/10. They were dry, expensive, and not worth it to be honest. The lemon pepper barely had any lemon pepper and the garlic parm tasted liked a thick gravy. The waitress was hard to find during the night. Visited Tarpon River with some friends following a walk/run around the area. There was a group of us and we had no idea they were all booked up for a private event. Nonetheless, the people at Tarpon River were kind enough to accommodate us and seated us in their private room. Service continued to be amazing as they took our orders, and our food didn't take very long to come out. I got the loaded nachos to share which was good and super loaded. Tarpon is one of my favorite local spots. I usually come on the weekend with my boyfriend, and sometimes we bring our dog because tarpon is pet friendly. They even provide a water bowl for your dog. The service is always 10/10. There is seating outside, inside near the bar, or tables in the back. We always get the big ass pretzel! The house made beer cheese and spicy mustard combo is elite. Seems like there is always something happening at Tarpon river brewing. On the night I was there, there were people organizing a night time bike ride. People were coming in with their bikes and grabbing food and all talking with each other. And someone else asked me if I was coming to trivia night so clearly there is a social agenda here as well as food and drink! It definitely is a friendly crowd. When the people I was meeting didn't show up, I decided to eat before heading home. At least 2 servers and a bartender ran around to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The beer was cold and the burger was delicious. I appreciated that they let me taste a couple of beers before I decided which one I wanted as beer is not usually my drink of choice, but hey- when you are in a local brewery, ya gotta go for the beer! There is a patio area up front which is a nice place to sit if it's not too hot (dog friendly too as evidenced by the number of dogs out there)otherwise head indoors to the bar. My first time at Tarpon River Brewing. I've had their beers around town at different restaurants. I really came to try one beer listed on their website: Tarponriverbrewing.com I had the "Honey Love". It's an Imperial Cream Ale and it was worth the 20 minute drive. I had numerous Cream Ales and Cream Stouts in my jazz club days in Chicago. (Oz for jazz was my favorite.) I really don't see Cream beers that often any more. This Ale was crisp and bright with a nice bouquet of citrus. Perfect for a Fort Lauderdale summer! The menu says Honey Love "drinks easy but goes down hard." I guess so, it has almost 10% ABV. Tarpon is really nice. They have a full beer menu. They offer great wines for your non-beer friends. The food menu is more robust than most microbreweries. My server was delightful even though I was here for only a beer or two. Nice "in the garage" outdoor seating. Lots of indoor bar seating. Parking exists all around the building and a public parking lot is on the next block with ParkMobile. I arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Wednesday and the happy hour crowd was already here. That's a testimony! I plan to return for a meal soon. read more

My wife and I went for happy hour a few days ago and we really enjoyed our experience. Our server who would work the bar and then come consistently to check our table was so fast! We'd order a drink and he would return with it as fast as I've seen. During happy hour it was buy one beer get one free. I came here for the trivia night on Thursday evenings. It's well run and there are a lot of teams competing. We had a great time doing it. I ordered the shrimp which comes with lettuce to wrap it in was disappointed because the shrimp was deep fried and breaded and it didn't say that on the menu. Their beer is usually hit or miss but "Deflated" was good that night. This was our first time trying the food after they revamped the menu. It was a definite upgrade. I really enjoyed their old Brussels sprouts recipe but the new one is unique and delicious! I got the fish tacos and they tasted great and were filling enough. Thai has got to be our most favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale. I don't think you will find a more dog friendly place around. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and twins for lunch. Honestly, we didn't even have Tarpon River Brewing on our radar and only noticed it because we got coffee across the street. Parking for this brewery was a little difficult. They have a decent number of spots reserved for their clientele but a baby shower in the back room took up a lot of them. As for the brewery itself, we sat in the front which was open air to the street and I could also see a couple fermenters and lots of string lights. Beyond that they also had a cooler with their beer in it which you could purchase to go. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I went with a sampler here. At Tarpon River Brewing that consists of 4 different beers and I chose the beach bum, color your energy, curbside motorboat and deflated. I started out with the Beach bum which was a super pineapple forward beer from start to finish. That made it a very drinkable beer for me and very tasty as well. Up second was the Color your energy which had a nice controlled bitterness at the start before a smooth finish. Third was the Curbside Motorboat which gave hints of citrus before a super hoppy finish with some sweetness kicked in for good measure. Last but certainly not least was Deflated which was super smooth with a nice juicy finish that didn't linger too long. Out of the bunch I think that the beach bum was my favorite with the deflated coming in a close second. In addition to the drinks, my wife and I also had lunch here. We both ended up ordering the I YAM THE WALRUS although my wife added chicken to hers and then we also got our twins a side order of fries. The menu described our meal as roasted sweet potato, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, pickled onions, avocado, hard boiled egg and cilantro. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals with my favorite part being the roasted cauliflower with the sauce. Overall I enjoyed all of the vegetables though even if the $16 price tag for it felt a little high. The fries for my twins were also quite good. They were crispy on the exterior while soft on the interior and were seasoned perfectly. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While Tarpon River Brewing doesn't have an expansive food menu, my wife and I both enjoyed what we ordered and I thought the beers were pretty good as well. read more

Great location for events such as the Flamingo Flea! TRB looks like the typical industrial building when you approach, but inside, it is like a cute country porch wrapped house! There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy a draft and eats, whether apps or a nice burger. The staff is friendly, although it can sometimes be hard to get in at the bar and get going. Were right in the center of Ft Lauderdale on a rainy Sunday afternoon but this cool Tarpon River Brewery is open and there were alot of patrons but open tables everywhere. Huge beer vats open for viewing. Got a table in the front patio area. Came here a few months ago for music trivia bingo during the week but wanted to try it on a weekend. Service was not wonderful, slowish, but the craft beers are cold and fresh. Ordered a very tasty Chopped & Hopped ipa 5% for $7. The "Big Ass Pretzel" was amazing with a side of beer cheese for $12. Great 1980's punk and new wave music playing and a live rock band called My Drive Home setting up their speakers to play at 630pm. Bathrooms were clean with hilarious placcards. I'd really like to give this place a 3.5, but that's not an option. My family and I were in the area at MODS and decided to stop here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The brewery is quite large and has a really cool feel to it. There is a a covered open area (it has big garage doors) in the front, an enclosed bar in the middle, plus a huge warehouse type area in the back. The building has its own parking lot in the back and some side grass parking. It also seemed pretty kid friendly, and has several games sitting around to play. We ended up sitting in the front area by the garage doors, which turned out to be a poor decision due to the weather. It really stormed while we there, and the center area where you walk in and out (and where you need to walk to the to the restroom) flooded. I will say the waitresses were great about putting down mats and trying to mop it up, but it was still dangerous. My husband ordered a flight of beers and enjoyed almost all of them. My children got the kids pizza and the kids mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was super good! Very cheesy. The pizza was alright. I ordered wings in medium sauce with carrots and celery (paid a dollar extra for them, but at least they gave me a good amount). The wings were okay; I found them to be kind of fatty, but the flavor was good. I also ordered a side of garlic parm fries, which were awesome. My husband ordered grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings, which he enjoyed. I will say the main issue was the service. Our waitress was very friendly, but I think she forgot to put my husband's order in because I was almost done eating by the time his food came out. Luckily, we weren't in a rush, and he was able to snack on the fries, but it was still annoying.
