Tasca Tasca is a cute little tapas restaurant in Sonoma. We had the Mac n cheese, sausage, empanadas and bbq pork slider. The flavors were good and we really enjoyed the Mac n cheese. The fifth item was their chocolate mousse. The whipped cream on top was sour, like it was going bad, but the mousse was good. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner for the most part, but the price for what you get isn't there.

Oooh what a gem! Great rec from a local friend - just off Sonoma plaza. We came on a rainy winter NYE for lunch and could just walk in but reservations also available. Super cute space, we got our choice of bar or tables. Tons of great dishes coming out for surrounding diners. Service was very friendly and timely. We opted for the 5-item platter to start and felt it was good for the 2 of us, but we probably could have ordered more if we felt indulgent. We tried these and would get them all again. Bacalhau Boquerones Goat stew Chouriçinhos/shishitos Smoked duck breast Obviously great wine list but we were on our way to a couple tastings so held off here.

First off, the restaurant is beautiful, very clean, comfortable seating, just amazing! I've been to a lot of Portuguese restaurants, my husband is Portuguese and his mom cooks the most delicious Portuguese food, this place did not disappoint. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche, and the cod, but everything was top notch! Just delicious! Service was fine, they could work on being a bit more friendly.

Really enjoyed this tapas restaurant . . . Everyone seems to suggest The Girl and The Fig when I visit Sonoma, but I tried it once and found the service was a big disappointment. Tasca Tasca, however, has both great food and great service so I would definitely recommend this to vacationers and residents alike. The menu at first sounded a bit daunting for a pescatarian (i.e., duck, pork sausage, tripe, steak tartare, GOAT stew, etc.) but I was pleasantly surprised that they offered modifications to dishes and even had a printed list of items they could adjust to make vegetarian or vegan. Items are served tapas style on a board in separate, small dishes and pans so the presentation is quite nice. The Lupini Beans were a fun find and became a quick favorite for me. They are similar to hominy but more flavorful and with a little pop when you bite into them. The Escargot was surprisingly bland but there were many other delicious items we tried: Roasted Beet Salad, Piri Piri Potatoes, Shishito Peppers, Mac & Cheese, Potatoes with Truffle Butter and Shrimp Empadas. The sangria was really delicious and the Port flight was something I hadn't seen on a menu before. Overall a nice, fresh experience.

Cute and intimate Portuguese tapas - no frills place in Sonoma. The perfect spot to share a meal with friends. We ordered just the right amount of food, libations and dessert to nibble on without the guilt. Enjoyed the personable service, establishment. Thank you!

A quaint, tapas restaurant in Sonoma, Tasca Tasca is a perfect spot for lunch in between tastings! Setting: Cozy Portuguese tavern aesthetic with warm wood tones and a relaxed, lively atmosphere. Service: The waitstaff was busy, and it was understandably tough to get their attention. The homemade caramels at the end from the chef were a sweet touch. Food: Flavor-packed and thoughtfully plated. The peri peri chicken was juicy with the right kick, oysters fresh and briny, cucumber gazpacho refreshing and bright. Loved the refreshing feta salad and crispy patatas bravas. Flan was smooth, rich, and the perfect sweet note to end on.

Rain or shine my friends & I drove to Sonoma for the sale event & even had a wine tasting at Buena Vista today. Later we asked the staff for the favorite restaurants in Sonoma downtown. He wrote a few and two of them I had dined already years ago. We opted Tasca Tasca for tapas just off Sonoma Plaza. It was past 3 pm when we arrived at the restaurant, no reservation just walked in. Nice restaurant & we got our choice of table. I saw the sign on the wall that read Sousa's Restaurant and we got confused because we were not sure if we were at the right restaurant but we were. It was formerly owned by Sousa's and its historic sign was acquired by the chef Manuel Azevedo of T&T. The server asked if we ate here before & we said it was our first time. We asked for cold water only to drink. She helped us in our decision on the menu. We ordered the 7 items for $62 which was great for sharing with friends! We had Steak Tartare, Raw Oysters, Shrimp Empada, Chourico & Peppers, Pork Slider, Goat Stew, & Escargot. Service was friendly & timely. The Portuguese tapas were served cute in small plates. However, my friends & I tasted the escargot & sauce were salty. They were tiny hard chewy tidbits. The tiny oysters were not too fresh & plump. The shrimp empada was kind of dark like on the verge of burning. I was hoping it would be golden brown & crispy or with softer, flakier crusts like on their website. The server said they were always dark but I tasted empadas but not like this. The rest were good food. The server kept on checking on us. If we return, we will try the other tapas on the menu. I recommend this restaurant for light meals.

Tapas were excellent and we look forward to going back the next time we visit! For two people, we think that 5 or 7 tapas is the perfect amount of food.

Portugal Found a Home in Sonoma: Just off the square in Sonoma sits a little gem that punches far above its weight: Tasca Tasca. It's cozy, open-kitchen charm hits you the second you walk in--staff buzzing, pans sizzling, and the aroma of garlic, saffron, and wine whispering you're in the right place. This isn't your average tapas spot. Think Portuguese soul food done with precision and heart. Every dish we had felt curated, balanced, and steeped in tradition with just enough flair to surprise you. Standouts? All of them. Kale salad with anchovy dressing--umami meets crunch, humble but addictive. best presentation and taste I've had with kale in some time. Monterey squid with white beans--tender, rustic, coastal perfection. Boquerones--bright, briny, almost kissed with vinegar on a hard boiled egg. Steak tartare--rich, vibrant, and not shy with seasoning. Saffron piri-piri potatoes--like a hug from Lisbon's spice rack. Don't miss the aioli it's on the bottom. Hints of saffron awaken any taste buds still napping. Goat stew--slow-cooked, fall-apart, earthy magic. And then our dessert choice knocked us flat: Portuguese olive oil ice cream and a chocolate mousse--what even is that flavor combo? Unholy? Divine? Either way, it works. BOOM. But the real kicker--the sangria. Easily the best I've ever had. Pomegranate and passionfruit with just the right balance of sweet and tart, layered and lush. A drink worth driving for. Tasca Tasca doesn't shout. It just does everything right. From the friendly, knowledgeable staff to the warm atmosphere and that clear love of food--it's the kind of place you tell your friends about and secretly hope they never make a reservation before you do. Highly, highly recommended. This is a taste trip worth taking. Cheers and thank you!

Damian was great! He gave us excellent recommendations for food and also told us about great wineries and things to do. The steak tartare was excellent along with the squid salad and Boquerones. Highly recommend!

Empanadas, sardine pate, goat stew, ceviche, gazpacho, chicken wings, duck

3.5 stars for us! We've come here twice now and both visits were decent but nothing quite stood out to us. The first time around we sampled 5 dishes. This time, we tried seven. The empanadas are delish and probably our favorite thing here. I like the red pepper mayo that it comes with. The goat stew is tender and cooked well, but with the gamey flavor of goat, we realized that we prefer goat with a sauce/curry of some sort. The soup of the day was a refreshing cucumber gazpacho that was great for a warm summer evening. The sardine pate, ceviche, and chicken wings were decent. Nothing to write home to. The duck reminded of bacon for whatever reason. The caramels that they give at the end of the meal are sooo good! So soft and gooey rather than chewy!

    Sooo yummy!!!

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Absolutely phenomenal food and service!!!!! We love the stray tartar, chicken wings, oysters, kale salad, scallops (omg so good!!) The ambience is so beautiful and such good vibes! We are regulars and will always come back to our favorite place! I'm just

Too tasty for me to stop and take a pic then it's all gone!

We also ordered some additional post-flight glasses of the Schramsberg Mirabelle Blanc de Blancs and Lucien Albrecht Brut Rosé to cap off our time at SIGH. Everything about SIGH is top notch: from the selection of bubbles ranging from California noteables to European standouts, to the curated decor and vibes, this is a must stop when you're in Sonoma. And for after tasting, a variety of coffees. The wines I tried were all delicious. I purchased 3 bottles. (Note: You can ask for a "dump bucket" but you don't need one because the wines are very good.) 1. Old Vine Rosé - So good and very popular that they have it on tap! 2. Whole Hog - A delicious Rhône! 3. Eleve Cabernet - drinks like a Bordeaux. When in Downtown Sonoma, please stop by and give them a try.
