Finally found fried rice that tastes like home - St. Louis. The rice was perfect. None of that carrots and peas crap. Authentic fried rice with onion, scallions and egg. Also had a shrimp St. Paul sandwich and it was GREAT! The egg foo young gravy wasn't what I expected though. It was some reddish-brown sweet stuff that tasted nothing like what I'm use to. I wish this place was closer to the city because I would visit weekly. So if you're from the Midwest or St. Louis specifically, and craving a taste of home, it's worth the drive. read more

Excellent food, not worth the screaming kids behind the counter. This place has some of the BEST food I've ever taken out. However, last night there were to children behind the counter making an insane about of noise, running all over the front of the restaurant, throwing stuff, and screaming when the young lady was trying to take phone orders. The young lady may not have a choice in putting up with these LOUD, RUDE, out of control children -BUT I DO. I WAS a regular customer but I won't be back. These kids WERE that bad. Only place I can find a St Paul in town and it's my favorite. The rice is decent but could use a tad more flavor. My biggest complaint about the rice is that the onions are cut in HUGE chunks. Somebody needs to do a butter job of chopping. The crab Rangoon was ok but a little too sweet. I've also tried the gravy and yeah it is flat out nasty. I asked if braised hot were braised and buffalo mixed or If they were braised with chili flakes or spicy seasoning and was told spicy seasoning not buffalo. Weeelp, this is what I thought...the food left a lot to be desired and didn't taste fresh or of average let alone good quality. I didn't know what was good on the menu so I asked the young lady at the register and she said, "a lot of their food has vegetables in it and I don't eat vegetables...I only eat the wings" Soooo after digesting that thought, I ordered a simple and hard to mess up dish (Mongolian Beef) and their highly suggested Lemon Pepper Crazy Wings. Poor Customer service, after being on hold for 20 minutes, I called back to be placed on hold again. When I asked not to be placed on hold the second time, the woman, very rudely, told me that there are customers who were there before me. (remember I had already been on hold for 20 minutes) I told her that I wasn't going to order from there after all, and I hung up. She called my JOB back to try to get me to place an order. I love the food. They have so many options and all my favorites. Some of them I can't believe they are low sodium. It tastes even better. I have definitely found my new favorite Chinese place.
