General Tsao's chicken and crab ragoon.

It's a hole in the wall, next to the Chevron, with bomb food. I had pork and broccoli and my friend had General Tsao's chicken . Delicious. Fried rice cooked deep brown! Crunch egg rolls. I'd drive out here from JC again!

Anyone from St. Louis, MO understands how hard it is to get Chinese food *anywhere* that is prepared how it is in STL. The struggle is real!! So when some other STL people who now live in ATL metro told me this place was the real deal, I had to come. I walked in and explained what the streets were saying. The owner said "yep, that's where we're from." I replied with one question: does that mean you sell St. Pauls? He replied in the affirmative, so I skipped the menu and went right into my standard order: one chicken St. Paul and a half order of plain fried rice with extra egg and gravy. Dear reader, it was perfection. The St. Paul had the softest bread to ever touch human fingers. The rice was dark brown as it should be and the gravy dressed it right up. I needed to add soy sauce but was so into eating that it was gone before I could. This place is like an hour from my house, so I can't come frequently but I will certainly be back!

Being a TRUE ST LOUIS NATIVE!! This is the Real definition of home away from home. Me and my family drove over an hour and it was worth every minute !!! the rice, the noodles the Saint Paul, the crab Rangoon, the vess sodas the "sundance "chips. Everything was on point. We got sweet n sour sauce. Not "duck sauce ". The rice doesn't have vegetables because who eats peas and carrots in they "chinamen" ?? Rice was just the right amount of dark !! I could go on for days. But instead. We'll just go back. We gladly spent over 200$ on three adults & 6 kids !! Worth every penny. See you next weekend lbvs

I was not impressed with this place. I ordered Shrimp egg foo young and shrimp fried rice. Wanted a combonation for this but this place does not have an egg foo young combination. So I had to pay for each item separately. I asked the guy was the gravy light brown and he said yes. Which it was not. My total was $17.75 just for shrimp egg foo young and shrimp fried rice which is ridiculous. when I got home is when I found out the gravey was not light brown it was dark something and thin like water. The gravy was nasty . The egg foo young was also greasy. I was very upset. So this is a one and done for me.

When it's attached to a gas station, you already know the food is going to be good! Taste 8 was highly recommended by friends from St. Louis. Ordering was convenient. You can do this online on their website. They will call you to let you know when the food is ready for pick up. Currently, the location is for pick-up only. You order at the door space they converted to a window. Everyone here is sweet and friendly. Food came in huge portions and piping hot! Ask for gravy on the side for your fried rice. Would definitely come back again. :)

It's hard to find solid Chinese takeout, but this place is fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back. The lo mein had the perfect texture and vegetable ratio, the fried rice was seasoned beautifully, and the veggies had a nice crisp to them. The sesame chicken was especially impressive--most places serve it soggy within minutes, but here, it still had a great crunch despite being takeout. The sauce-to-chicken ratio was spot on, and the chicken pieces were just the right size. The spring roll was another highlight--still crispy with a great crunch, even after the drive home. If you're looking for quality Chinese food, this is the place to go.

Everything you are familiar with, including Egg Foo Young and a few others you can't always get elsewhere. This is my go to take out. Call ahead or order at the window. There's a lot of yelling in the kitchen, but I stay out of other folks' business, but the food is fast and moderately cheap.

The shrimp were delicious and prepared just like I'm used to. This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.
