    Yummy Gummy

I know and Mary said there is a ton of tea places/Boba places, but I think this might be the best one yet! They use the best ingredients, my fruit is always fresh ! Ttheir flavors all sound really good! I'm looking forward to trying more things than the yummy gummy!

They make the drinks really fast but I do notice that their drinks are not usually consistent. I ordered the matcha thai tea but one day it was more orange and this time it was more green. I also ordered for the 24oz but they gave me a wrong size.

Stopped by in the evening and was impressed by the large selection of drinks--definitely a lot to choose from. This was my first time at a Sharetea location, and I felt a little overwhelmed by the menu, so I had a few questions. Unfortunately, the staff experience left a lot to be desired. The person at the register was chatting with someone who seemed to be off-shift but still hanging around. They noticed me waiting but didn't acknowledge me and continued their chatting until I finally interrupted to ask for help. It didn't feel welcoming at all. When our drinks were ready, a different staff member called my name, shoved the drinks at us on the counter without a word or a smile, didn't even look up at us, and walked away, and chucked the straw at us too. It came off as cold and unprofessional. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the whole interaction felt like we were an inconvenience. The drinks themselves were okay, but the service really soured the experience. With so many boba spots around and across the street, I don't think I'll be coming back here.

This spot is consistently solid! There isn't anything crazy special about Tastea, but I am never disappointed here. I've tried the pandan milk tea, peach me sweet tea, and popcorn chicken recently. Pandan Milk Tea: Really yummy! The pandan flavor is really strong, and the jelly it comes with is a good texture and also light enough to go well with it. VERY sweet so make sure to get it a lot less sweet if you normally drink things lighter. Peach Me Sweet Tea: This is the drink I usually get - it is the perfect balance fruity while still having a strong tea flavor. Popcorn Chicken: So crunchy which I like, but the chicken pieces are pretty small. A little steep in price for how much you get also. My spice tolerance is really bad, but I think mild works pretty well with the chicken! Overall a great spot for drinks, but I would usually hold off on their food unless I am really craving it. Their drinks in general also lean sweet, and a 50% sweet here is about an 80% sweet for other boba shops. Service is quick and the workers are so nice. There is also plenty of seating for hanging out/studying!

Tastea has some of the best boba place meals/appetizers I've had. Their honey boba I argue is better than regular boba, and their appetizers (most specifically the jujutsu box) is amazing. The service however... not great. It took over 20 minutes for me to get my food and drink. Also, the worker ignored me when I asked her a question regarding allergies. (I waited around 10 minutes before saying something... she acknowledged me with eye contact and didn't say anything else) Otherwise, the place is pretty nice. A few tables to sit at and there is a restroom. Although you need to order something if you want access to the restroom. But in general, pretty much a regular boba spot.

I came here once with my family and try out their boba tea, it's really good for the price! I would recommend back and try out some of their other foods and drinks!

Great Boba Shop! I like that you can change the sweetness level. We will be back. Pros: * Delicious drinks; recommended Thai tea & Boba * Friendly & Quick service * Clean restaurant Cons: * N/A Extra: * I ordered my Thai tea with lite sweetener and it still was a bit sweet for me. Next time, I plan to order no sweetness. * Plenty of parking

I had been here once a long time ago and saw they had a Thai matcha milk tea I needed to try The space smells sooo good with some tables and chairs available and a clear space to order then pick up drinks I LOVE that they offer stevia as a sweetener option and don't know any other boba place that has that option which is super cool! The matcha milk tea was good but not amazing but the honey boba was so soft and chewy in the best way, regardless will definitely be coming back to try more items

Giving this spot a 3.5 out of 5. We ordered the Strawberry specialtea with boba, 50% sugar, large size. The tea itself was decent, and the sugar level felt just right. The boba was green, which was unexpected, but it actually tasted good and had a nice texture. That said, the menu didn't really impress. It took a while to figure out what to get because nothing really stood out or appealed to my taste. We ended up going with something simple because nothing else looked particularly exciting. Prices also felt a bit high for what you get. The store itself was messy. All the tables were dirty, and there was trash on the floor. It didn't feel like cleanliness was a priority. Service was quick, which was good, but the baristas were extremely loud. Their conversations made it hard to place our order, even though there was only one other group inside. The volume in there made the space feel way more packed than it was. Overall, it's a decent option if you're in the area and want something simple, but I'd probably try other boba spots next time.

    Iced non dairy banana coffee.

After fasting for over 16 hours to get my blood drawn, I decided to stop by Tastea, which is not too far from the 15 freeway. May not be the best thing to put in my body as a first meal, but it was already 1:30pm. I was hangry and my state of mind had been altered. The first thing that caught my eye was the banana coffee or matcha poster. So, I went with a small - 20 oz iced banana coffee non dairy creamer. Customizing the sweetness and type of milk (almond, oat, or non dairy) is a plus! For snack, I chose the regular size karate chicken with a spice level of 1 - "mild but wild". It had the right amount of heat without compromising the flavor. It also includes a dipping sauce with the choice of weak sauce (sweet chili), ranch or ketchup. The place is clean and inviting. It was empty when I first arrived and quickly got busy as I left so I cannot comment as to how loud it can get. I didn't have to wait too long for my food and drink. Drink came out fast and waited for chicken which was like less than 5 minutes in all... I think. Price is comparable. Shout out to Charlise for the kind attentive service. There's a variety of drink flavors to choose from and a few yummy snacks to select. I'll definitely come back to try more items. Thank you and stay strong

Karate Chicken & Calamari -- extra basil (uncooked??)
    Allison L.

I've always thought that Tastea had one of the best popcorn chicken flavors in town. Today I got the chicken & calamari. Pros: - Great seasoning - Love that they included the crispy little pieces in the chicken - I think the weak sauce is just sweet chili? but it's delicious! Cons: - Ordered extra basil and it's supposed to be fried but they weren't - Spice levels are a bit inconsistent - Usually when we get mild, it has a bit of heat. This time, it had almost none, making me wish I got medium. However, if I order medium next time, it may be tooooooo spicy if it's inconsistent.

Their fruit teas are where it's at! Got the Unknown drink, which is a mango & passion fruit black tea with pieces of longan in it. Delicious! Light & refreshing.

    Ask the Community - Tastea

I don't see karate chicken online. Are you no longer selling it?

Hi Chrissy, we are not offering food with our third party orders anymore due to the high food costs and high DoorDash commission. Please order food directly through our Tastea App or website (https://order.gotastea.com/). Thank you!

Do artisan fruit teas have hot/warm version? If not, what drink can you do hot/warm? Thank you!

Hi Xi, yes you are able to order our Specialteas hot if you let your cashier know or make a note when ordering online. Thank you!

Do they still make french fries? It's no longer on the food ordering apps. Also no matter what spicy level I order, it's never made the same so is the spicy flavor not measured?

Hi Kira, our hood vent stopped working Friday night and as a result our fryers are generating too much heat. At this time, we only turned on 1 fryer and removed our fries online due to the extended cook time. Customers can order any food item in…

How many gallons are your jugs? And are the bobas included in the jug or are they placed in a separate container?

Hi Roseann, our jugs are 1 gallon each. Boba is ordered on the side. We provide 10 scoops of boba with each jug order of boba ($6). Hope this helps!

Which specific drinks/smoothies are made with real fruit?

Hi H, thanks for your inquiry. Our Strawberry Sensation, Strawberry Bananza, Chamango and Avocado Avalanche are all made with real fruit. In addition, our Melon series are all made with real fruit but they are only available during the summer. Hope…

    What is golden milk tea?

Hi Mimi, Golden Milk Tea is our assam milk tea with whole milk. We hope this helps!

Are the smoothies made with real fruit or flavor syrups?

Hi Tammy, certain smoothies are made with real fruits and we have other smoothies made with fruit juice. Hope this helps!

Do they only have green boba or can you get regular colored boba instead?

Hi Claire, both of our boba is typically our signature green color. However, right now we have orange and brown boba in the spirit of fall and Halloween. Hope this helps!

If i order a thai tea with nondairy milk will it still have dairy (in the thai tea mix/powder)?

No dairy . Just the powder . You will have to ask for non dairy while ordering to confirm . I'm lactose as well and I always have to ask for non -dairy . I'm glad they have that option available . Sadly lots of boba shops are starting to convert…

Do they use real Taro in the taro milk tea or is it powder?

Hi Audrey, we use taro flavoring powder. Hope this helps!

They don't have a lot of seating inside the cafe, but there are lots of tables and chairs outside at the plaza area. We were incredibly happy and super impressed with every single thing we got--from the drinks, to the desserts, to the famous halo-halo. Everything was delicious and perfectly balanced in flavor; none of them were overly sweet or bland. Here's everything we tried: ORIGINAL HALO-HALO: 9/10 This one was the more traditional version, having the brown sugar milk base with ube ice cream on top. It was really good, a little more on the sweet side. But I just loved and preferred the upside down version more. UPSIDE DOWN HALO-HALO: 10/10 This one had the ube base with vanilla ice cream on top. I loved this one so much more than the original. I really liked how the ube flavor stood out. I just think this one was more balanced compared to the original. UBE MATCH LATTE: 9.5/10 I love that the ube flavor was prominent enough here that you can really taste it with the matcha. None of the two overpowered the other--it was the perfect balance. It wasn't too sweet either. I also appreciate that they did not charge an additional fee for any of their milk substitutes. UBE BUTTER BAR: 9/10 This dessert tastes *so much* like the ube halaya we have and LOVE in the Philippines. Ultimate *chef's kiss*! UBE CRACK CHEESECAKE: 9.5/10 Creamy and luscious with a really good amount of ube flavor! Would gladly have another piece of this dessert, or five. UBE LECHE FLAN CUPCAKE: 7/10 I had high hopes for this one, but the leche flan on top was not as soft and bouncy as a leche flan should be. I found it a bit dry, like it was sitting out for way too long. The cupcake was okay--good ube flavor, but a bit dense and dry too. MILO CUPCAKE: 9.5/10 This one was really good--the cupcake was moist and fluffy with a great amount of chocolate flavor. I think the Milo was only in the icing, but I only got a slight hint of it there. Still very very tasty though! Overall, this was by far the best and most Filipino-tasting ube I've ever had here in the US--and we've had a lot of ube here. Will definitely be back!

This one kinda hurts to say but this place really fell off. I used to like it, but after this visit…read moreI think I'm done coming here, especially with how many better boba spots are around Mira Mesa. I stopped by because it's super close to the freeway and I just wanted a quick drink before heading back south. Sunday around 4:30 the music was good, the place was clean, and the workers were friendly. There's a lot of seating inside and outside, plus board games if you want to hang out or study. Ordering was easy with the kiosk too. I got a jasmine milk tea with boba and asked for less sugar and less ice. The drink came out pretty fast and the cup design was actually cute and different from what I remember. I didn't try it until I was already back on the freeway and the first sip was honestly confusing. The jasmine flavor was super faint and watered down, but then it tasted sour. Like really sour. Not in a tea way, more like something went bad. It genuinely tasted off. I couldn't even finish it. I took maybe three sips and threw the whole thing away, which sucked because I was already driving and couldn't go back. That's the main issue. With how many boba places are in Mira Mesa, you can't be serving drinks like that. If it was just bland that's one thing, but tasting sour like that feels like a bigger problem. It honestly made me question the quality. I'd skip this spot for now. There are way better and more consistent options nearby.

I ordered a strawberry lychee green tea, one of their top ten drinks. It was just okay. Fine, not horrible, but nothing that made me smile or would hook me to come back. It's pretty standard stuff but given the competition of boba shops out there and all the interesting things that are being done with flavors, I would say that this place is in the low middle of the pack. One small gripe I have about this place is that the receipts they give you don't show the last four digits of your credit card, which for me, makes it harder for me to submit receipts for points...

There's almost always a good mix of people working inside or out on the patio, giving the space a productive but comfortable energy without feeling overcrowded. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and the drinks are reasonably priced for the quality you receive. My go-to is the Iced Vanilla Latte, which is always smooth, well-balanced, and never overly sweet. I've also tried several other drinks over the years, and everything has been consistently well-crafted. So if you're looking for a coffee shop with quality drinks, a great atmosphere, and a place where you can actually settle in and get some work done, this is the café for you!

Due to how late it was (around 10pm when I came) I didn't want any drinks/anything caffeinated but the milk cakes did catch my eye. Unfortunately the ras malai was out but I went with the gullible as jamun which I've never had. I was expecting it to be ridiculously sweet based off it looking like a tres leches but I was pleasantly surprised at how balanced the sugar was with the spices. Hopefully if I come back I'll get to try their coffee/other milk cakes!

This is such a cool spot…read more I love a good coffee shop, even more so when they have more than just coffee. Easy does it has simple but delicious beverage options including coffee, matcha, hojicha, pastries and open face bagels. All delicious. But in addition to that, they also sell plenty of packaged goods like a copious amount of high quality take home coffee beans from some really amazing roasters, matcha and hojicha powder, snacks (like shiso sour cream popcorn), spreads, and tin fish. The shop itself is huge with plenty of seating and tables, making this a great coffee date spot or remote work location. Their branding is really cute and unique which adds to the overall vibe. We even experienced a cool pop up on the weekend when we first went! The service is also really great. Everyone is kind and helpful and the wait it never too long.

OVERVIEW Come for the equally balanced, delicious coffee AND matcha drinks; the spacious work setting; the side entertainment (like a free bookshelf + camp chairs outside), and incredible ownership. Be prepared for hard parking during peak hours (lunchtime) and possible lack of seats (especially during schooltime). DRINKS It is RARE to find a shop whose matcha is on par with its coffee; normally, one is better than the other. Easy Does It, or EDI as we affectionately call it, is pro at BOTH. With coffee served from Provecho, matcha from Nami and hojicha from Paru??? You just hit a trifecta of GOOD good. Our Typical Order: 1) Iced Earl Grey Latte - omg, I LOVE the earthiness that the earl grey syrup brings to the matcha. Matcha, to me, is either too grassy or too sweet; the earl grey syrup makes it a perfectly earthy balance. 2) Honey Cinnamon Latte - how good could a standard coffee shop latte be, you ask? They have the HCL at almost every shop, and it's not usually standout. EDI, again, blew expectations wide open. Their HCL is balanced: sweet without being saccharine; and you can actually taste the cinnamon. 3) Hojicha Latte, Hot - omg, there was a time when I ordered almost one of these A DAY. Again, another sleeper - if you like the taste of coffee but can't take the caffeine (for a late night drink, perhaps), a hojicha is a good choice. It has that grounded taste that coffee gives, and the hot version of it is like a HUG for your mouth and stomach. They also have cool inventive flavors like the Matcha Cloud, the Coconut Cream Cloud (which is a coffee cloud on top of coconut water, I hear it's refreshing), so you'll never get tired of the drinks they have here. I also want to mention that they do serve wine and beer, too... so there's something for everyone! FOOD Spend any time in a coffee shop and know... you're gonna get hungry! Thankfully, EDI has open-faced bagel sandwiches AND pastries here, all of which look mighty tasty; all of which I cannot partake in, since I am gluten free. But ohhh, gluten warriors unite! Thanks to the partnership that is Jacob of Made for Mei Mei Mochi (aka the protein mochi) and Easy Does It, you'll have your PICK of 5 different flavors of homemade, chewy, ooey, DELICIOUS MOCHI -- SANS added sugars and preservatives you normally find in the store. I'm telling you, I don't normally like mochi (it tends to be so sweet) but I love the texture. And Made for Mei Mei hits it all! Flavors include: 1) chocolate hazelnut -- which tastes like Ferrer Rocher, yum 2) ube 3) green tea / red bean 4) black sesame 5) pb&j (yes, he's stocked peanut butter & jelly, a fan-demanded flavor) My favorites are #1 and #4; sometimes I go for #2 and #5 to mix it up. Either way, I spend WAY too much on these tiny li'l treats I might as well become an early investor. AMBIENCE This place is perfect for computer work as light doesn't directly fill the whole space. I like a li'l shade when I'm staring at a bright computer screen. There are two rooms: front and back; the back is a li'l darker and more chill vibes than the front. I also appreciate that they have a free bookshelf (just replenish it with your own!), plus a few magazines scattered around (for decoration, but I still browse). I miss when coffee shops had analog media, especially for when we don't want to be glued to our screens. EXTRA CREDIT Easy Does It also offers their shop as space for community events. From mahjong with No Ambition Tile Club to wine and jazz nights IN SUM THANK YOU Easy Does It ~ Grace, Nancy, the sister I haven't met, Eugenia, and the entire team ~ for creating a lovely third space where I can work, enjoy my snacks / drinks, meet friends and co-work, and have a great conversation. You make it so easy to feel welcomed, and I'll forever be grateful for you :)
