Ok this place is legit delicious. The entrance is easy to locate in the plaza and you can order from the computer or a real human person, I know right. A real human, what? It's a cozy spot. The people who work there just seem happy and work well together. They're friendly and patient with me as I navigated their menu items. I could not decide what I wanted so I accidentally ordered 3 drinks: Roasted Oolong Milk Tea Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea 3Q Milk Tea The roasted oolong was for my sister so I don't know how it was but she wanted another one so that should tell you all you need to know. lol I love floral teas and Osmanthus oolong is my new favorite and it delivered. I opted for the agar aka crystal pearls and that was the right choice for the floral tea. I also accidentally drank the 3Q tea after and while not my favorite, I appreciated all the toppings and the tea was still good. The boba is super unique! It's got a nice, chewy kinda texture. I have never had boba like this before and I wish I had blacked out and gotten double boba. read more

I remember it being a Rita's Italian Ice at one point, then a bubble waffle shop, and now it's BoBaPoP Tea Bar. I stopped in for a quick drink and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, which is always a good sign. Inside is clean and modern, very simple but put together. You can order at a kiosk or go up to the cashier, which makes it easy depending on what you prefer. The menu has a solid variety. All your usual milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and blended drinks, plus a good amount of toppings. They were also advertising a matcha ice spinner which caught my attention, so I'll probably come back to try that and see how their matcha quality is. I went with a mango fruit tea at 75% sweetness and added boba. I sat outside while waiting, they have limited indoor seating but a couple tables outside which is nice. The drink came out in about five minutes, so pretty quick. First thing I noticed was there were actual mango pieces in the drink, not just syrup. That was a nice surprise and added a good texture. They were soft enough to go through the straw too, so it didn't feel annoying to drink. Flavor wise, I do wish I went lower on the sweetness. Even at 75% it was still a bit too sweet for me, but that's more personal preference. The part that didn't really hit was the boba. It was a little mushy and didn't have that chewy texture I usually look for. It also had this slightly artificial honey taste that kind of overpowered the drink a bit. Not terrible, just not my favorite. It's a solid and convenient spot for the area. Good variety, quick service, and a nice setup. rly appreciated the wide variety of teas that i don't always see at boba shops. my favorite was the darjeeling, which almost tasted like it was warmly spiced. also loved the roasted oolong which was almost chocolatey in its roasted flavor. the genmaicha had a nice toasted nuttiness from the brown rice. the dong pian was an oolong that was mellow & creamy, but still flavorful. (w the alishan, idk that anything stood out, but that's just personal.) service was quick & the cashier walked us thru all the options. we got a tea w no ice but it was still plenty cold & filled to the brim there are only a couple tables so this is more of a takeout spot vs a place to study. definitely looking forward to trying other teas, this is another contender for fav tea in town :) read more

It totally hit the spot! The salted cheese foam is the perfect savory sweet combo. The boba texture was also spot on being soft without being too chewy. We chose the kiosk so we could browse a bit too. We got a roasted oolong with sea salt foam, and a Japanese brown rice tea with boba. We customized our ice and sugar levels and both orders came out perfectly. Truly delicious and high quality. I especially like that they have the loose leaf tea at the counter which further cues FRESH. It definitely tasted like freshly brewed tea. The people behind the counter were friendly. The variety of drinks is insane and will meet everyone's palate (I.e., drinks that are sweet, roasted, or somewhere in the middle). I opted for the Japanese brown rice milk tea (green tea with roasted brown popped rice). Love that there's a boba place open at 10:30! Most places don't open until 11, but opening a half hour earlier is nice. The menu has a Matcha section, fresh fruit, tea section non-caffeinated section, a milk tea section, and Vietnamese phin drip coffee options. You can also smell the tea leaves at the counter, which I really like. They also have mini boba as a topping which isn't something most other places offer so that's nice if you prefer that vs. the other toppings. The staff here are always super sweet and friendly, which makes the experience even better. For the quality you're getting, the prices feel totally fair--especially compared to other places that charge more but taste worse. The matcha tasted a little chalky, kind of like a not-so-great Starbucks matcha; it just didn't taste good. Maybe next time I'll try a different drink. Having a large printed menu depicting the sugar levels available at the front counter would be so helpful! To order, I got a Large, Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, 70% Sweet, Less Ice, with Black Pearls. I was hoping it was brown sugar boba, but sadly it was not. These pearls were so bland, very mushy and gummy. I would not order this again. For the boba to be this bad texturally and taste wise, is not very good for a boba spot. The tea itself was thin with light roasted & woody taste (dry to the mouth). It almost resembled the taste of barley or hojicha to me. They'd have to fix the boba for me to want to come back because I think this is the basis for a boba shop! It opens earlier than most tea shops and still brings everything I love about the San Marcos location- cute decor with a fresh and clean look. I RECOMMEND THIS cuz it was SO delish. I got it with 50% sweet, and oat milk. It was so nutty, and well balanced--the tea leaves really brought out the distinct flavor, one that I've never tasted before. And the Japanese Brown hot tea?!?? I can drink that all day, every day. It's so mellow, and semi-sweet with 70%. I think it's perf on a cold day. The employees were super swift and made the drinks with care, I thought they were pretty spot on with the sweetness! This is one of my wife's and my favorite boba shops. It's relatively new and seems to be doing well. We try to stop by whenever we pick up food from a nearby restaurant in the same lot. I'll usually get a coffee drink. The Lavender Haze is my favorite. It's Vietnamese coffee with ube foam. It's creamy, sweet, and has a good amount of caffeine. You aren't able to adjust the sweetness, but it's fine to me as is. My wife will usually get a milk tea. She's tried the thai and matcha milk teas. Both are delicious. The matcha one has a fresh, strong flavor. The shop itself is clean and decorated well. You order using a large screen but you can also order at the counter if you want to pay using cash. I'm so glad there's a decent boba spot in PQ! Located in Towne Center next to Round Table, the staff here can't be any nicer and helpful. They are always patient with questions I have and service is always given with a smile. The place is pretty small, with 2 seats inside to wait for drinks. There are a few tables outside. My go to are the fruit teas, with my fave one being the fruit melody and the sunrise tea. Both are very refreshing. I've had the Lavender Haze Coffee and it was good with a strong coffee taste, but it does get rather sweet for my taste. The Roasted Oolong tea isn't bad, but I've had better.
