a cup of coffee on a counter

Grilled chicken pesto panini on a Dutch crunch! Fresh orange juice to grab and go. The staff is always friendly and this coffee has been a staple in my neighborhood for years now. Service is quick, never spend too much time waiting around. Clean environment, a nostalgic feeling. They have a variety of pastries to choose from, good warm bagels. Thank you Tasty Coffee for my coffee fix in the morning.

Iced Macha latte and caramel macchiato

While the person making the drinks was friendly their skill for making a macha late and caramel macchiato was zero. The macha late was just macha powder and milk stirred together, the caramel macchiato was plain and flavorless. Just a tragic experience for 20$. Place looked professional but the drinks were a mess

A cute little neighborhood coffee shop. Quick and efficient, it's perfect to drop by before work, though they also have some outdoor tables if it's a sunny day! Food and smoothie offerings are solid, too - especially the breakfast burritos. Parking is street parking and your best bet is parking across the street if there's nothing right in front!

Was in a cute neighborhood in San Fran when my wife and I decided to stop somewhere quick for some coffee before coming back home and we don't regret it and can't wait to come back! I'm sure you've read reviews about the amazing staff here at this shop, she was so sweet and welcoming and didn't have any problems with me customizing the drink that I got which was the green juice with no celery! It was so yummy and fresh and delicious!! Had apples pineapple spinach and I think a few other things, definitely needed after a weekend of heavy foods and it was perfect for an early morning would definitely get it again! 11/10 My wife got the Mexican iced mocha with some extra pumps of hazelnut just for extra sweetness and it was luscious!! I love the thickness of the hot chocolate that sits at the bottom of the drink and when you mix it you really get the full taste of everything! 10/10 I also got a little banana bread it was delightful, soft and moist perfect amount of walnuts up top to balance the textures out goes perfect with a little coffee on the side or milk! 11/10 try this out!! That was all we got for this day, but it's everything you look for in a coffee shop, someone with a smile on their face, great coffee, clean space with beautiful energy! Parking was a little hard to find, it was in a very nice quiet area, I loved the location of the place the sun fills up the place, you can chill and watch tv if you'd like as well! Very clean and well up kept! Definitely will be coming back they have sooo many options on their menu and I'm sure it's all delicious! Not to mention the cashier gave us a free hand sanitizer since we mentioned we were traveling! Try this out if you're in the area!! Happy eats

A nice local coffee place with seating and friendly service. The coffee ranges around 3-4 star mark. I visit occasionally on a weekday morning with kids in tow and a stroller packed with scooters ready for the playground, it has never been too busy (always able to get a seat) but it has a regular flow of visitors coming and going. They have some small outdoor seating too, it gets good sun in the morning. Balboa Park is only a couple blocks away so it is a good place to grab a coffee and then go push a couple of kids on the swing.

Iced Mexican mocha and latte macchiato are both very yummy! This is a very cute cafe with great coffees and quick breakfast food

Peach iced tea and chicken pesto sandwich on Dutch crunch
Michelle T.

I dropped off my dog at the groomer down the street, and was initially planning on sitting in my car to wait. It's a particularly nice day for SF today, so it was too hot to sit in my car. I decided to check out this cafe and grab a iced tea drink to pass my time. I wasn't hungry at the time, but as I scrolled through the pictures and the reviews, I craved a chicken pesto panini. After reading the reviews, I had some high expectations for the chicken pesto. I asked the cashier if he recommended the sandwich or the panini, and he said that he personally liked the sandwich better, so that's what I went with. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich on sourdough bread, but he messed up my order and delivered out a chicken pesto on Dutch crunch instead. He was going to bring it back to fix it, but I said it was fine. The sandwich itself was a little disappointing. The chicken pesto tasted watered down? I'm not even sure how to describe it. It was tolerable, but it wasn't amazing and definitely not something I would personally order again. I also ordered a peach iced tea which also tasted more like water than it did tea. Again, probably would pass on next time. So with all of these disappointments, why am I giving 4 stars? First off, the place has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. There's free WiFi and friendly customer service. The reason that I'm still very satisfied, despite the disappointing food and beverage, is that the cashier was kind and personable. There was a group of mentally disabled individuals in the cafe that were in the cafe. Now normally, at most establishments, the staff pretends to not see them, that they're invisible and less human. THIS CASHIER came out to wipe tables and genuinely had conversations with them. I guess they're regulars, because the cashier was asking one of the men how he wanted to celebrate his birthday. He came out and had a conversation. I thought that this display of basic human decency was something worth noting. And perhaps, it is worth me giving this place another chance one day.

Chorizo Burrito with Jalapenos and Avocado yummmm!!

Cute little shop great to have a bite to eat. I think this has pretty authentic burritos just like my abuela used to make loved it while I visiting in town. Will be back on my next visit.

I had passed by it countless times on my bike ride to work without giving it a second thought -- until a co-worker suggested we stop in for lunch. That single visit changed everything. What I found was not just convenience, but quality. The menu was packed with deli classics, and the vibe was laid-back and welcoming, full of regulars who clearly knew this was the spot. I went with the Hot Pastrami Sandwich, and I still think about that first bite. Made with Boar's Head Top Round Pastrami -- hand-trimmed, rich, and smoky -- it was layered generously and coated with spices that hit all the right notes. The meat had that perfect deli texture, tender yet hearty.. They clearly take pride in what they serve, and it shows in every bite. It wasn't overloaded or sloppy -- just expertly made and full of flavor, the kind of sandwich that makes you slow down and savor it. What makes New College Hill Market even more special is the atmosphere. It's that kind of neighborhood shop where the cashier greets regulars by name, and even if you're new, you feel like you belong. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or discovering it for the first time, it's the kind of place that leaves an impression. For me, it's become a top lunch destination in the city -- unassuming, affordable, and blasting in flavors!

This is probably the only place where the sandwiches don't taste like the store's essence…read more I mean, don't get me wrong, a store's essence from any given deli/liquor store definitely adds unique character to the sandwich and sometimes I want that in a sandwich. But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Double pastrami, horseradish, havarti, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and pepperoncini. A lot going on, and it all came together. The horseradish and havarti gave it enough personality to stand apart from a standard pastrami sandwich, and the garlicky mayo tied everything together. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery. At $14.50 it's a hearty sandwich at a fair price. I'd recommend it, but eat in.

This grocery/convenience store has your typical products you would see, like liquor, sodas, snacks, i.e., candy, chips, ice cream, but they even sell things like shampoo, cold/flu meds and lottery tickets! The store may have what you need so you won't have to run to Target, Walgreens or CVS. They don't have music or a tv in the background; it's quiet and peaceful. We noticed this because it was Super Bowl Sunday and they don't have a tv, so we had to go online to check the score. *** OUR PICKS*** RIB EYE STEAK SANDWICH W/SWISS CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ While ordering this, I told myself, this is gonna be GREAT! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this sandwich! But when I took a bite, all I could taste was salt?! I'm not sure if the steak was over seasoned or the Swiss cheese made it salty from being cooked, but I've never had that happen when making a sandwich at home. Since there's no place to eat it at the store, we took it home and tried adding more lettuce and avocado to offset the saltiness, but even that didn't help. By the end of the day, I couldn't get my ring off my finger! It was swollen from the amount of salt in the sandwich because that's the only thing I ate. I drank lots of water, but I became bloated. Next time, I'll nix the cheese and order another kind of sandwich and hopefully have a better experience. 3/5 ROAST BEEF & PASTRAMI W/PROVOLONE CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ this was better than the steak sandwich. My guy had this one. It was salty, but it didn't overpower my tastebuds or the sandwich. I only took a bite to try. 4/5 While jalapeño peppers and pepperoncini are sour, spicy and salty, the meat shouldn't be overwhelmingly salty too then the whole sandwich wouldn't be pleasant to eat. There needs to be something bland to balance it. Now in this steak sandwich, I didn't even add jalapeños or pepperoncini. I only had pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. Yet the salt cut through it all and hit me. I believe someone got overzealous with the salt shaker not realizing it was too much. Of course, the customer finds out after taking a bite! Though I think there should be some quality control in making sure it's done right. Maybe taste testing should be a thing. We may come around again and give them another shot. We really enjoyed it the first time and we were hoping for a repeat, but disappointingly, it didn't go as planned.
