Puttanesca crepe
Bryant C.

The kind of place you just don't see anymore. A true one man show. Came on a Thursday morning for a late breakfast - you order up front with the only guy there and then you find a seat. Cash only or venmo. When it gets busy, the order can take a bit of time, but with this, patience is a virtue and really, it is just one guy and he's super nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The spot is a small, cozy place for a nice small brunch with a few friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FOOD: All crepes that I've tried here are pretty dang good. Each one with a side of a simple garden salad that helps lighten up your plate and a nice serving of potatoes that are your standard breakfast potatoes but done well. Crepe itself is light and crispy, each filled with a very solid amount of well thought out combination of fillings that are each cooked to perfection. Most recently I had the puttanesca, which was served with a side of sour cream. This combination of flavors with the cheese, mushrooms, and sour cream was an excellent way to start my day. I've also had the curry crepe as well which is also an interesting combination but overall delicious as well. A bit more depth of flavor with the curry. Overall, a super cute place to have a nice brunch. The owner is super kind and does a great job with this place. I will definitely be back - see you there.

Absolutely delicious! Out of this world, service is so sweet, the man is the host/ cook/barista/ and server! Expeditious, efficient and the craziest part his memory! He had multiple orders and (not that I saw) were written down. The crepes were so special, we got the blintz, and the Banana, strawberry, Nutella. We also had the Borgia coffee, hot chocolate and the cappuccino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nice and peaceful ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Must come and have a nice slow morning

I stumbled upon the cafe one day and only got a bagel with cream cheese and coffee. I returned the following week to try a crepe. Great decision. The man behind the counter does it all and was professional handling multiple orders at once. Please be patient waiting for food. I ordered the chicken delight crepe. Presentation was lovely and the side salad was a nice touch. This savory crepe was delicious and filling. I would definitely return to try something new. Ps. Cash or Venmo only.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute mom and pop coffee shop in glen park![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Get the mocha almond latte or ask for any latte with almond syrup - it's SOO good. 10/10 will be back :)

It's seems the parks in San Francisco are good places to eat. Although my neighborhood has some dog parks where the dogs eat there is a park that also attracts us humans and it's also a neighborhood park. In the Glen Park neighborhood in San Francisco you will find a spot where the neighbors congregate to grab espressos along with their delicious crepes at Higher Grounds Coffee House. I acknowledge that the internet and social media still exist but I kept this spot under wraps like a crepe for years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is limited seating on the weekends and it's the neighborhood original IYKYK spot in San Francisco which closes by 3pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually have their vegetarian pesto crepe which had mushrooms , pesto feta and jack cheese and it's so tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the walls to the roof this spot is filled with lots of charm. First the roof inside is covered with real coffee bags. The walls have interesting art of local San Francisco businesses[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The good vibes here is a reflection of the neighborhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a hidden gem on Chenery and the cross street of Diamond. Whether you are around the diamond of Oracle Park or at the Glen Park neighborhood on Diamond street there are good drinks and food gems at the parks of San Francisco. Higher Ground Coffee House is where " a little nice place to eat" is their manifesto and where you can start the day off with a cup of espresso You can eat inside, take it to go in a box or eat it al fresco, I recommend the crepe with feta and jack cheese , mushroom with pesto

Rating this place pretty highly. I ordered the pesto mushroom crepe and it was incredible. The mushrooms were cooked to absolute perfection, melty cheese and the boldest pesto flavor. Couldn't have asked for a better crepe. The potato's were soft boiled, instead of crispy but still very good. I've truly never had a side salad like the one that comes with the savory crepes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the aesthetic is gorgeous, rustic, vintage, classic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service is friendly and the food is incredible. Highly recommend

I love this cafe with all my heart. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chef was super attentive and wonderful. I got the salsa crepe with a latte and my goodness it was so delicious. I love this cafe!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious hot off the grill savory crepes and sweet crepes in a cozy, rustic cabin feel like restaurant with large windows to people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Portions are huge and cooked and served with lots of love.

Homey local cafe situated in the corner. Feels like being in some grandparents' home; the owner is a one man show who does everything - order, cook, clean. I had a savory crepe which comes with small potatoes and green salad. Wonderful visit to soak in the neighborhood flavor.

Chai Latte - 2 stars. This was over-sweetened, & had no foam/texture. Thu lunch 2023-12-21

Cute local spot. My food was good, but my chai latte was not great. THE WAIT None on the Thursday before Christmas at 10:30am. There is seating for maybe 14 people inside, and my friend and I got the last table for two. THE SERVICE One sweet old man taking orders and making everything. The food took a while but it was totally understandable! THE COST $21.85 total including tax/tip for a chai latte and crepe. You can pay on Venmo and add in separate tip. THE FOOD * Chai Latte - 2 stars This was over-sweetened (coming from a sweet tooth), and there was no foam or texture. Not worth getting this. * Blintz Crepe - 3.5 stars Great crepe and ricotta cheese. The strawberries weren't fresh (either canned or frozen/thawed).

There is outdoor seating as of now and I saw someone sitting next to me with a dog :)

I've been coming to Diamond Coffee N' Pastry on Ocean Ave regularly since January, and it's become…read moreone of my favorite places to get a hojicha! I've introduced so many friends to the hojicha einspanner and everyone loves it too! Even though Diamond has multiple locations, this is the only one that serves hojicha. I hope the other locations will add hojicha to their menus too. But what stands out the most to me is the einspanner. It's unbelievably yummy; it's thick, fluffy, and tastes like marshmallows! I could honestly eat a whole bucket of it! The hojicha itself is a little on the lighter side, but it still has a delicious nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with the einspanner. Once it's all mixed together, the balance of nuttiness and sweetness is perfect. The space is super cute and has a cozy camping theme. Most of the seating consists of camping chairs and tables that really tie into the aesthetic, so there are only a few tables that are ideal for studying or getting work done. It's definitely a fun spot to hang out and catch up with friends. I also love all the little tributes to the owners' dog, Diamond. You'll find little touches of Diamond everywhere--from the napkins and cup holders to the free stickers. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the hojicha eispanner. It's the reason I keep coming back! (My brother got the matcha einspanner but idk what he thought of it)

There is also some places are where you can just camp out and relax and enjoy a cup of matcha in the city. So I cross Ocean Avenue for the quest of getting matcha for Don Juan La Matcha at Diamond Coffee N' Pastry. On an Ocean stroll to Ocean Avenue in SF I landed at Diamond Coffee N' Pastry. Inside it looks like I was a camp site but it reminded me more of glamp site. So I tried the cheese and turkey pastry which is as not too cheesy but a bit flakey like some in SF. Don Juan de la matcha had to get the matcha latte. It was not too sweet and it was smooth and tasty. This is a good pit stop and hidden gem called Diamond Coffee N' Pastry on Ocean Avenue. Shop is on the smaller side, but does have some minimal seating (one large table and a few bar seats). Pastries, tea and coffee, all available, and a bathroom in the back. Great for grab and go. Not great if you're hoping to sit and chat. Service was fast and efficient. Coffee was hot and delicious. My wife enjoyed her horchata latte. I got the hot chocolate and it was also surprisingly good for a non-coffee option with latte art on the hot chocolate and nice foam top. Their everything croissant was especially delicious, with flaky layers of pastry and a small dab of herbed cream cheese hidden in the center. Coffee Fest beans were available too in their merch section if you missed grabbing some there!

Today I dropped our recently senior rescued dog for his first grooming for us. I came upon an "Old Friend" Java on Ocean Coffee. The café is at the corner or Ocean Avenue and Faxon across the street from the former Walgreens which means amble parking! Java On Ocean Coffee is a classic San Francisco coffee place which has much more than coffee to order. There is a selection of savory breakfast items, sandwiches and smoothie! Given it was after 3 pm I ordered a Mexican Mocha and an oatmeal cookie. The café was fairly packed with nearby Riodan High School students studying about American history "New Deal" with great enthusiasm and laughter! There are 15 tables and plenty of seating including several outside but given the May gray day I cozyed under a poster of famous Mexican artist Frieda to drink my Mexican Mocha today.
