DOTS in the city! Order: - Strawberry Sago: not too sweet and tastes like a strawberry milk. I loved it. 7.5/10 - Mango Coconut Sago: standard sago drink that had a nice blend of coconut and fresh mango chunks. 7/10

Dots is hands down my favorite boba spot in Daly City. I make it a point to stop by every time I'm in the area. Their tea actually tastes like tea. It's strong, flavorful, and not overly sweet like a lot of other boba places. The prices are also really reasonable for the size (around $7 for a large milk tea), so it always feels worth it. This time I tried the Black Sesame Milk Tea, and the sesame flavor really comes through. It has a rich, roasted taste without being overpowering. If you like milk tea that's balanced, less sugary, and made with quality ingredients, I definitely recommend giving Dots a try!

What drew me in was the Hong Kong style drinks. HK milk tea and the HK lemon iced tea are nostalgic to the fellow Canto's that can relate! I got the HK milk tea (奶茶) w/boba and it took me back to when I was an adolescent. The boba was a great size, but it was a bit more on the milky side. Still would recommend! Parking is tough since it is on Ocean St. and make sure to read the signs in the city! Luckily came on a Sunday lol.

I recently stopped by Dots to pick up a pandan bubble waffle since I'd been craving it lately. I was in the neighborhood already for a late afternoon/early evening Yelp event, so the timing worked out. The staff packed the pandan waffle in a vented paper bag, so it stayed fresh and didn't get soggy on the train ride back. When I tried it a bit later, it was really yummy and chewy with pandan and vanilla aromatics throughout. Dots has consistently been one of my fave local boba tea shops in SF ever since I moved here over two years ago. I really wish it were a little closer to me because I love their variety of drinks and snacks. Getting the perfect pandan waffle reminded me just how good this place is, and I can't wait to come back again soon.

One of my favorite local boba spots! The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced, and the lines are never crazy. My go-to orders are the mango sago, watermelon slush and the HK lemon tea, all are refreshing, flavorful, and perfect on a warm day. They also serve snacks such as popcorn chicken, curry fish balls, and deep fried fish skin! I also love that they're partnered with Too Good To Go! It's a great way to reduce waste while giving back to the community, and I appreciate supporting a business that makes an effort to do both. Whether you're stopping by for your usual boba fix or trying them through Too Good To Go, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Summary: Bland. Details: I'm not usually a fan of the "I really wanted to like this place" reviews, but this was one of those rare occasions where I actually did. The more unique (but still traditional) Taiwanese snacks are pretty hard to find here, and Taiwanese style wheel cake is especially uncommon: in fact, I think Dots is the only place I've ever seen it here. So, imagine my disappointment where the wheel cakes AND drinks we ordered were all pretty flavorless, which was NOT a problem we were expecting to encounter. Usually with these kinds of spots you run into the opposite problem of things being too sweet, if anything, but everything we tried here fell flat, especially when you order your drinks without sugar. Considering I didn't even order these on my recent trip back to Taiwan, I'm not sure I'd ever crave them enough to come back to Dots, unfortunately.

The matcha latte series is really really good. Amazing! the best matcha latte I've ever had.

Very clean interior with multiple screens for better visualization for ordering. They also offer a wide variety of egrets and snacks and Boba.

One of my favorite all time boba spots on Ocean Ave besides Quickly. This spot is a cute cozy hole in the wall. I have tried others near by and nothing comes compares. I noticed more food options and now I must come by often to try out other things on their menu. Service was fast, you can tell the workers try their best and takes good care of this establishment. They work so diligently getting your order/s into perfection. My family and I got the Mango Coco Sago and the Green Thai Tea. Both are equally delicious and everything tasted like it was freshly made to order. I will always recommend this boba spot. Don't hesitate to stop on by and give them a try.

Really liked their lava custard eggette. The custard was so addicting. I was initially planning to eat a few pieces but ended up eating almost the entire thing. It's pricey though for $10+tax. The one I had was not crunchy, fyi for those who prefer theirs crunchy.

Everything my husband and I have had there is delicious, I have tried so many things. Their eggettes are the best in the neighborhood, the matcha is my favorite. Their seasonal food and drinks are always awesome and so tasty. The soft serve is dangerously delicious with the best flavors and seasonal sundaes. The staff is great - kind, friendly, helpful, etc. etc etc. As is the ambiance, the great music, and fun claw machines, merchandise, etc. What a wonderful gem in our neighborhood. I forgot to add the reason I like it so much is because you can adjust the sweetness level, they have more than one alternative vegan milk, and lots of ways to customize your order. Most smoothies and milk teas are way too sweet for me. I do 25% and it is perfect! You can also customize your toppings, which type of boba or other extras you want as well!
