I got the garlic butter and the medium heat I didn't feel the medium heat or too much garlic it was just all a bunch of butter but it was still pretty good I could tell they try to dump some type of seasoning in it but didn't mix it up real well. This was something new for us! The seafood came in a big old plastic bag that was full of air (I'm not doing this justice by trying to describe it). The flavor was on point. Even the sides were amazing. The service was ... lacking a bit. She couldn't answer simple questions like "is it the whole crab or only the legs?" So we just winged it and hoped for the best. We had been waiting for them to open and were surprised when someone said they opened today so we decided to go for dinner. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot so we thought there might be a wait but, we were seated immediately which was nice. The place was very clean and spacious. It took about an hour for us to get our food, the waitress never came to check on us or bring us refills even though our cups were empty. We saw numerous people get up and leave before they got their food because the wait was so long. When we finally got our food, the waitress noticed our cups and said she would bring us refills. Thank goodness because we needed them but also my mom is supposed to drink something with every bite of food due to a medical issue she has. We ate and enjoyed our food. It was hot and seasoned very well. We were about done eating and still no drinks. I asked the waitress when she was walking by and she said ok. We waited and waited. She passed by us a couple more times and still no drinks. I stopped her another time and she said" they didn't bring your drinks?" I'm not sure who "they" were but, I assured her nobody had brought our drinks and we hadn't had any refills since we got there. She immediately brought our drinks and then our check. Nice place, good parking, very good food at reasonable prices but, the service needs some work. Opened during the pandemic it's a very large restaurant that could accommodate large parties. However we've only had appetizers off the menu as we left and didn't stay for dinner. The entire menu has only fried menu options in addition to crab which was very pricey. When I asked if they could do any of the fish options grilled or blackened we were told that wasn't an option. The service is slow and the overall ambience is lacking. For appetizers and drinks or to accommodate a large party this place would work but other than that I can't recommend much else. read more

Having grown up in Houston, Texas, eating crawfish is something I've done so my life. But I've never really found decent crawfish outside of z Texas or Louisiana. And this place certainly doesn't change my mind. I was there in February 2023, one of the beginning months of prime crawfish season. So I was disappointed to be served crawfish no bigger than the size of my litter finger (even if I have big hands). The crawfish were way overlooked and were hard and rubbery. The sausage I paid extra to have added was sliced into individual thin coins ensuring that any flavor they had was boiled out of them. The potatoes and corn were decent. But I've never seen anyone overcook those items. 3 stars because at least they tried. Crawfish is unusual to find here. But they could do a better job. First, cut the sausage into 4" long fingers, not slices. Second, crawfish cooks in only a few minutes, not 15 minutes or more. read more

Arrived at 4:30pm on Thursday afternoon, 2/3/22, and was seated at booth, as requested. Order for drinks taken quickly by Kla, our service staff. When drinks were delivered we ordered 1 fried catfish basket with cajun fries, hush puppies, and sweet tea....and 1 fried calamari basket with sweet potato fries and water...then, the waiting began...35 minutes later Kla came by to apologize for slow delivery of food. It was another 10 minutes before the food arrived,...with no eating utensils, and we had to ask for ketchup...another 10 minute before utensils and ketchup arrived. All the food items were delivered at a warm, not hot, temperature, and everything was overly greasy, even the hush puppies! There was practically no taste at all in the catfish, and the calamari was the same. French fries were flaccid, with not much flavor at all. The hush puppies only hinted at the real taste of a hush puppy. The sweet tea was not very sweet at all, and I was never asked if I wanted a refill. Although we understand that this is the first week of the restaurant being open, the service was very, very slow, and the quality of the food no better than any fast-food drive through. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food for the price we paid. We also observed a lot of the staff standing around in the dining area chatting with each other as customers were waiting for service. Our server appeared very busy trying to keep up with orders and bringing food & drink items to tables. She was working hard, but the wait for the delivery of food items to the table was unacceptable. Total cost for our meal was $39...We tipped 20% due to the hard work of our server, not because of the quality of the food or speed of service. Perhaps the higher-priced items on the menu are of better quality, but if the slowness of the food delivery doesn't improve with the higher-priced item, don't waste your time and money here! Really great seafood restaurant hidden away in Aiken. Food was really excellent. Rye provided excellent service. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Fried Oysters, Fried Shrimp and Fried Catfish. The batter on everything was really light and tasty. There was no heavy oil taste. Nothing was extra salty. The food came out fast and at the perfect temperature. I ordered fried shrimp because the menu was pretty limited and was rather disappointed when I was told that there would be a $4.50 charge to swap french fries for broccoli. I'm a diabetic on strict low carb diet and french fries are definitely NOT low carb. This type of accommodation is something that any good restaurant would happily do but not here.
