The food tasted ok but the chicken seemed to be dried out, overcooked, and very rubbery skin. I am so pissed because although it tasted ok, my husband said our order wasn't ready when he got there. I went here to pick up my online order. The two employees working were completely unmasked. We are in a pandemic! When I asked them where their masks were. The man said I had been standing there and didn't even say anything. Side note. When I walked in no one acknowledged me. They were both packaging my food and his comment was not only irrelevant at the moment but rude. Another bad on him. If someone comes into your establishment. YOU greet them. Needless to say. I give up. This was my second time ordering delivery from this restaurant. 2 gyros and spanakopita. IT TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF (1.5 hrs) for delivery. I'm 6.7 miles away (Google said average time around 17 mins.) I called after 45 mins, guy said they would be at my location in 10-15 mins. I waited another 25 mins (10 mins before they were scheduled to close). I left specific instructions on how to find me in my order and asked that they call when near. The first delivery driver didn't have an issue. But this time - I don't know what happened! Guy on phone said various road closings were the issue - but not evident on Google maps. I really don't like being lied to, given an unsympathetic "sorry" from guy on phone, and nothing of an apology from the delivery drivers (yes, 2 people in the car). They handed my food and drove off. Sorry, but when I need food again, it won't be by way of this restaurant - no matter how big the gyro. Oh, I forgot to mention the food. Yes, gyro was huge, but whole slices of end of tomatoes, meat was slightly dry. But at least it was still warm. So disappointed as I was looking forward to a nice dinner splurge. Fresh and healthy Mediterranean avocado salad was just delicious! I would recommend a different dressing as I don't think the sesame oil is a good match. Since I had never eaten here before I wanted to try something on the menu that should be relatively simple. I ordered a chicken breast plate, which comes with salad and fries, for takeout. What they gave me was a half chicken breast and a thick dark fatty chicken thigh that were both poorly seasoned. The chicken was inconveniently placed directly on top of the fries making them soggy. I was going to substitue fries for extra salad but I'm glad I didn't because salad was nothing more than lettuce drowned in dressing. The salad pictured is the entire serving I received with the exception of one forkfull. The soggy fries that lacked salt were the best part of this plate which isn't saying much. I hate to write a bad review because the people who work here are very nice and I used to eat out here before a while ago and had no problems with the food. This place used to have different owners years ago. The food was amazing for a small price. About some time ago they got a different owner. Nice people but food has gone way down hill. I hate to complain but heres what happened... Ordered the spicy salmon and the fish smelled disgusting. Took 2 bites and couldn't finish it. This review is for a delivery order. I was staying at a hotel in Rosemont and decided to try a new place out for pizza. I ordered a "small" 12" bacon pepperoni pizza, mozzarella sticks and cheesecake. The pizza was very large. It was the smallest one on the menu and I'm not exaggerating when I say it could feed three people. It was alright, quite doughy and a little too much cheese. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good but I'm sure some people would prefer them crispier. And the cheesecake was probably an 1" teeny tiny little slice but still tasted great. It wasn't a bad meal. They do offer a wide variety of things on the menu. But if you're in the Rosemont/Des Plaines area there are much MUCH better pizza places in the area. read more

Had to wait 3 hours for my food, talked to the restuarant and they couldnt care less. After talking woth them they only gave a 15 percent discount, food was cold when it showed up. They told me its almost arriving to my place about 5 times over 2 hours. Highly reccomend finding a different place. I've ordered gyro pizza from here twice on grubhub. The first time it was delivered within the time frame grubhub gave which was an hour and 10 minutes. The pizza was good. Second time, I waited 45 minutes over the time grubhub said delivery would occur which would've been ok if I had received an update. Nearly 2 hours from the time i placed my order. I called and was told the delivery guy was on his way, no apology, no discount, nothing. The guy on the phone wasn't rude but was dismissive. I would likely not order again for this reason. I read the reviews here and there seemed to be more good than bad. I should have just kept driving by. Ordered a gyros sandwich. I have to say it is a good price and much meat. That is where it ends. Tzatziki sauce tasted like sour cream. Gyros meat, not much flavor. I did not like that the tomatoes and onions were not cut smaller and interspersed throughout the sandwich. I ordered for delivery and it was crazy fast, which was awesome. The food arrived nice and hot. They got every special instruction correct. The only ding was how the wrap was wrapped. This seems to be one of those times where my husband and I disagree because the two times we have ordered from here his stuff was excellent and mine sucked. Now I love prosciutto, really I do but this particular kind was AWFUL. It tasted about a week past its expiration date, so much so I actually ripped the rest off the sandwich and ate it without. I can tell you though not to give up hope yet. My husband graciously let me have a few bites of his Italian sub and it was fantastic. Tasty world is a small unassuming shop along the side Cumberland Ave. I wanted to grab a quick bite and try something new so I tried this place out seeing decent reviews and being a general fan of gyros. The atmosphere is ok. The tables and seats are generally clean. There were two TVs with some sort of foreign channels on, and I think one was a music channel. Slightly loud for my preference but nothing too bad. The hostess was very friendly when she took my order of gyros and fries, which with a soda came out to just under $10. The fries were ok. The gyro was ok. There's nothing wrong with it, it just didn't wow me. All around the experience was ok. What a pleasant surprise to Google/grubhub search African food near my work place and find out there was a gem of an establishment less than 2 miles from me! So I scan the menu and make the call for pickup and a sweet and patient lady helped me with my order, the food was exactly what my palette had been longing for(spinach soup, fufu and edewu soup!)
