Three hours into waiting for the dealership to check the vehicle I decide to go see what the status is...they never even took it back to the mechanics. They thought I wasn't going to wait around. I've literally been sitting in the waiting room and all the front office people have walked by numerous times to go to the break room, saying hi along the way. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Tate Jeep on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance to have an electrical issue diagnosed on my eight-week-old Jeep. Since the vehicle was already going to be there, I also requested an oil change. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told they didn't have time to look at the electrical issue it would take days to figure it out, and that I should reschedule after my vacation. While inconvenient, I agreed. Two weeks later, I returned for my rescheduled appointment. This time, after arriving, I was informed that Tate would not honor the warranty/ oil changes I had purchased through another Jeep dealership. While that was frustrating, the bigger concern was that my Jeep--only eight weeks old--had an unresolved electrical issue that still needed to be diagnosed. They kept my vehicle from 8:45 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m., then texted me that it was ready for pickup. I replied to the text asking whether they had found the electrical problem. I never received a response. I then called to request the shuttle service they advertise, since I live less than five miles away. My calls went unanswered, I left multiple voicemails, and no one returned them. In the end, my husband had to leave work early to drive me to the dealership. Unfortunately, the customer service didn't improve when I arrived. The cashier addressed me as "Mr. S." When I politely corrected her and said I was "Mrs.," her response was a dismissive, "I'm just used to saying Mr." It came across as unnecessarily rude instead of simply apologizing and correcting the mistake. When I asked if they found the electrical issue I was told again quite dismissively I don't know ask your writer. From being turned away at my first appointment, to the lack of communication, unanswered calls, failure to provide the advertised shuttle service, and the dismissive customer service, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. When someone brings in a nearly new vehicle with an electrical issue, they expect communication, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, I received none of those. I wouldn't even give the place me star if I didn't have to , they do all the "quick" jobs first and if you need something serious done , don't think about getting your vehicle back until Friday which is the only day they don't make appointments so they can "catch up" . I make appointments on Mondays as early as possible and most times don't get my vehicle back until Friday if I'm lucky or they keep it over a week . they take no complaints seriously and nothing ever gets done . This will literally be my last trip to Glen Burnie dealing with Tate service lanes express or otherwise. Since purchasing my jeep in 2021, I have been sure to get my jeep serviced by Tate. However this will absolutely be my last trip to Glen Burnie and I would suggest if you have a closer Jeep service facility you not make the trip either. I am having the exact same problem I had in May of 2023. Not even a full two years later but the difference here is the solution and cost. When the solution was previously the main battery which is still under warranty now the problem is the auxiliary battery. I was quoted a diagnostic charge of $190 which turned to $320 after I started asking questions. The cost to fix a whopping $565 previously quoted at $420 (30 minute time difference between these quotes) for a 1 hour job. Where previously they would have tried to charge the battery as they did in May of 2023. They didn't even try to charge the battery and instead opted to charge me an outlandish cost which changed after asking simple questions. Now I'm being told both batteries will be changed out for the cost. However, had I been told in 2023 of this need both would be under warranty now under the same fee. read more

Anything more advanced than that, you might as well drop it off, go on vacation, return from vacation, then rent a car, and then waste time trying to figure out what if anything they are doing. 10+ years with this dealership and service/express center and each encounter is worst that the last. This service department is the absolute worst! My son and daughter in law took their jeep there to have the transmission flushed and the pan and filter replaced. After driving it for approx 2 weeks and over 300 miles - they have to take their 16 month old son back and forth to John Hopkins for chemo as he is fighting for his life with cancer - they got stuck on the side of the road because there was no fluid in the trans- the tech left bolt out and the fluid drained out! They had it towed to a dealer close who diag and then called Tate to try and get payment - Tate then tried to get the new dealer to put in a false warranty claim- all of this is recorded and on voicemails as well. At this point Tate is refusing to pay the fee for the jeep to be fixed- this is their only transportation and the vehicle that transports my grandson to chemo. This family has enough going on and should not have to be fighting Tate dodge and their crooked service manager. We have tried getting to someone higher on the chain but have been told by the service manager that he is God and no one is higher than him! Just so you know that an "appointment" has a different definition with Tate. I am unable to get my car to Tate early in the morning and get in the line of cars for service, so I asked for an appointment. They gave me one for a day the next week at 1 pm. When I arrived I was told that they were already filled for the day and extending into the next. I showed them my card with the appointment written on it, but they didn't honor it. My one star evaluation is based on that. I have found no problem with the work itself previously. I came in for a front wheel alignment and they made me wait two hours without touching my car saying that there was someone else using the equipment. They called a woman forward saying she had her front alignment done and she left after about an hour and 15 minutes of me being there. For 45 minutes people proceeded to talk at their desks in large groups and no one went near my car for almost an hour and after that, knowing the the alignment would take about an hour, I didn't have the time to wait. No one told me I would spend my afternoon there for no reason and no one cared enough there be speedy about their service. If you can go somewhere else, you should. read more

This has been a miserable experience. we are not from here and are used to better care and the last few times Ive gone here its just gotten worse. Originally was working with Jason and he was somewhat better but still short with you. We had a hit and run on my van someone took off my mirror on my pacifica . So dropped it of to be replaced. IOn the 15th day after dropping it off to them the night before I was told my van was done and could come get it. My helper goes with me to help drive it home. I drive my daughter car and they drove my van. They made him walk all over the parking to find van. He drives home noticing that mirror not replaced and same as when dropped off. He thinks oh maybe they sent mirror to paint it and just having us pick it up till it's ready. When I get home he asks when is mirror gonna get back to fix it. I say what? They fixed it thats why we went to pick it up. I go out to van and the mirror is no where on my van. Im livid. Just drove 30 mins there and back. Again! I call them and say what the heck. What I don't understand is how a car service department can not figure out the issue with my car is. First of all, the appointment system is trash. I had to wait 2 weeks to make an initial appointment for my vehicle. Then once I got my vehicle into the shop, they had it for a whole month and apparently couldn't figure out what the issue is with the PCM. So I get my car back and after a week, it starts to malfunction again but I'm about to still drive it. Finally 10 days after the initial malfunction, it completely craps out and I'm stuck on the side of the road at 6am. I was able to get it towed to the shop on Halloween and still to this day, I don't have a clear cut answer/solution on what the problem is. This has put a clear strain on my family life and I have never experienced anything like this before. I brought my car to Tate to find out why my front tire was not hiding air. I was told the tire was fine but the ri. Had a Crack in it. This is a 2021 Durango with less than 23000 miles. My appt was for 8am and about 9:15am Jason L. came to me and advised me of a couple other items that needed to be addressed on my van and I gave the go ahead to change out the brake fluid and to replace my 2 front tires and do an alignment. Beginning of March I brought it back for same issue. Then they said they got it to act up and said I need a new transmission for additional$$4700. When I brought it in to get it fixed i was told I needed something that I found out later I did not. So after 2000$ that I was charged for a part I didn't need the car still did not run. They then told me it was the transmission.... So no refund for the part I didn't need and no explanation on why they didn't tell me that In the first place they then charged me for the old part that came out of my car which by the numbers on the part alone was a lie. This place is AWFUL! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I took my car in Saturday morning for an oil change in the "Express" service and it took TWO HOURS even though I arrived at 7 AM, when they open. Sure. What I dislike most is that my vehicle never gets out on time. Even for a simple oil change when left there over night. The personnel are always very curt and short with me and just not very friendly, and it's a miracle if they answer the phone. Thier suppose to to off all fluids but my windshield wiper fluid was bone dry, they didn't reset my oil light, they didn't replace my sticker on the windshield which reminds me when to get an oil change, they reset my sensor for my remote which I didn't want, and my last draw was when I paid for a tire rotation that they never did. When I bought it to the attendants attention he argued for a second but after checking the tape saw it was never done. They where supposed to replace the left rear tire pressure sensor instead they replaced the right rear tire pressure sensor. Instead of telling me of the mistake they chose to swap the two rear tires putting the left on the right an soforth. So it appeared that they changed the correct senor out. They tell me the right rear sensor miraculous went bad when they replaced the left tire sensor asking for more money to replace that one as well. read more

Everything about the website gives the impression that they are built to get you in and out fast: from the name "Express Lane" to verbiage like "fast oil changes" and "We know your time is important and we've set up our facilities to provide quick, convenient service." Sadly, reality doesn't meet expectations. I got there early and was told it would be a 2 hour wait for an oil change! I politely declined and drove down to Jiffy Lube, half a block away, and was done in 20 minutes. I suppose I should have checked Yelp reviews first. Just got hammered for $235 to replace a single TPMS sensor in one tire. Had my truck in for two recalls and figured I'd have them replace the sensor. I knew it was bad and which one it was. Their inspection is to hold a scanner next to valve to get a reading. Takes about 20 seconds to figure out it's bad. First thing you need to know is that they charge you $135 just to take a look at the vehicle. Didn't know this until they already had my keys. No big deal, but I thought the $135 would cover the TPMS repair anyway. NOPE! They are charging me another $100 for the part and the $135 supposedly covers the labor. Tate Dodge will never do another thing to my truck or car unless it's a recall or under warranty. read more

I took my vehicle in to have new tires put on and a front wheel alignment. When I picked up the car I noticed damage to front end and both driver side doors. They denied they did it which is an out right lie. Tried to work with them to have them fix it. I dropped of the car for them to fix and when I picked it back up they didn't fix shit. Looks like they tried to put touch up paint on gigantic deep gouges. So after speaking with Roger the service manager again about the same issue they were going to try again. But a little more info about more problems. Once I had tires changed I didn't wash the car until after there 1st attempt at fixing the damage they caused. Once I washed I noticed that one of my rims is scratched all to hell because of there shitty mechanics. So after seeing this I blew my lid and told I them I would never bring my car back for anything. Plus this is the 2nd time they scratched my rims all up. I have a $50,000 Dodge Charger that I treat better than myself. So Tate Dodge is a bunch of lying un-trust worthy sorry fucks. Never take your vehicle there unless you want it all fuck up. They have broken items like my power seat while my car was in for repair and then refused to fix what they broke claiming it was broken when brought in. Last visit my car was held hostage for 4 days while they came up with any and all excuses. We called and called and Jay refused to answer my calls and then Roger his boss covered for him every single day that he waited till the end of the day to call back. Outside of that the pricing is way over the average for repairs. I only got a battery and fuse changed for 195 in labor for a grand total of 425.
