If you haven't been, I'm sorry. If have, rejoice and know the chef, Skip, who happens to be my brother-in-law will enjoy his retirement after a chaotic, non-stop last month. I stopped in for lunch today with my good friend and struggled with what my last meal should be. I opted for the Chicken pot pie and corn fritter. It was light, flaky and delicious. The corn fritter came with maple syrup and brought me great joy. My friend went with the pork Milanese which was huge! It came with mashed potatoes and veggies. She definitely will be having a second meal from that pork cutlet. She also ordered a Reuben to take home for her hubby. Sorry, no photos of the sandwich. The service is always top notch and the drinks free flowing. Stop in if you can. But know the wait will be lengthy but worth it.

Nice bar, and good selection for wines and beer. Parking is street parking mostly and they have couple of parking spots to the side of the restaurant. Genuine hospitality that welcomes you like they've known you forever. You are going to ask why you haven't been here many times before after you visit. Everything is of quality and fresh. The menu is concentrated offering a nice balance of traditional items and Irish dishes. The Potato and Leek Soup is made very well with such a clean smooth broth and plenty of potato and leek present in the soup. Try the Cajun Chicken and Sausage gumbo was a nice option offering Big pieces of Chicken and Andouille Sausage. Nice kick but not overwhelming. Clams or Mussels appetizers are on point and worth sharing with the table. The Corned Beef and Cabbage dish was amazing and definitely NOT bland! Lean Corned Beef and fresh hand cut veggies make this a must have! The NY Strip, is tender, cooked perfectly and recommend having the whiskey sauce over the top! For $38.95 it is a bargain! Highly recommended as it literally checks every box for me. Will definitely return!

It is on the spicier side, so this is something to consider if you do not like spice. That said, the noodles were terrific, and you are served a large portion of it. I got it with chicken and was thoroughly pleased from top to bottom. The presentation is also smart, being served in an oversized Chinese takeout rice container. Definitely getting better after each visit. Can't wait to come back again!

Wow! So I asked ChatGPT, hey chat, can you recommend a fun, reasonably priced restaurant nearby for…read moredinner and one recommendation was White Owl Tavern. Hmm, never heard of it. Honey, let's go! So we went and so very glad we did. Appropriately 10 minutes from home we pull up to this seemingly small bar restaurant and to be honest, from the neighboring burned shell of a restaurant next door and the need to find parking since the lot was full we almost drove away but the full lot told me that something good was happening inside so in three minutes we found a spot on the main road and walked half a block to the restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly host who made a booth available for us in a couple of minutes and sat. We were greeted by our exceptional server Jess and drinks were ordered. I had the Mai Tai and my girlfriend had the Lychee Martini. The bartender here at White Owl should have his portrait hanging in this restaurant because his drinks are absolutely perfectly crafted! Now on to the food. We started with the Frito Misto and the Firecracker Shrimp. Both exceeded our expectations. The Frito Misto was missing the scallops but neither of us cared. Crispy and delicious. The marinara needed slightly more salt but that's just my taste. For dinner my girlfriend had the Short-rib Showdown, cheese ravioli topped with short ribs, pistachio, Parmesan and Calabrian chili. Outstanding!! I had probably the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had, Umami Grilled Cheese, frico coated sourdough, birria, cheese, apricot jam and caramelized onions and a side of birria consommé to dip. I mean, if I'm ever offered my last meal, this will be it. Maybe adding some shaved white truffles for a kick. lol. One thing I noticed that's really important to me when I'm out was the cleanliness. There are disco balls hanging throughout the restaurant that must be cleaned weekly if not daily. Shelves, fake plants, walls all very clean and well cared for. I love this place and can't wait to get back to try the rest of the menu. Thank you to Jess and the whole team at WOT. You guys are exceptional! I highly recommend!!

The food is basic typical American menu. Standard popular beers on draft. We Definitely ordered the wings and tried the KKP (which is regular buffalo) and Motor oil The motor oil wings ended up being very good lol We then shared Ribeye cheese sandwich ;Onions & peppers come w/ the ribeye sandwich but I wanted Onions & he wanted peppers, we asked for it on the side & we put what we wanted on our halves Marriage is all about compromising We were so full. The food tasted very good and everything had great flavor! We definitely will be back we enjoyed it very much. If you are in the wharton area give it go and pop on in for some Motor Oil wings!!!

Arrived and ordered 12 wings since they stayed in the menu they were voted best in New Jersey, onion rings, and a couple pints. The onion rings also may have been some of the best I've ever had. Yeah it's bar food but it's bar food on another level! If we ever find our way back to this part of the country we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
