I've driven by this spot multiple times, but this was the first time trying them out. I came for a late lunch (weekday around 1-2pm) and the place was fairly packed. At that point, I knew I was in for a treat. Any dining establishment packed at non-peak dining times must be a local favorite. I got the Thursday special: meatloaf with BBQ glaze, mashed potatoes, and char grilled corn. Meatloaf is one of my comfort foods, and this one really delivered. It was cooked perfectly; moist on the inside, a nice sear on the outside, and tangy BBQ sauce. The mashed potatoes and corn were pitch perfect too; I especially liked the char on the corn. The vibe is rustic casual, with ample large screen TVs for catching a sports game. Our server brought the wrong beer (light beer instead of Surly) , but made it right when we pointed it out. The acoustics were great; which is hard to find in populated places with a concrete floor. There is a parking lot. I'm already imagining a return visit next Thursday for more meatloaf! read more

Trail stop has always been a favorite, but last couple orders kinda let us down. This past weekend we ordered the Tavern burger (waffle fries) and Hangover burger (fries) to go, and the Tavern was missing the American cheese, the Hangover burger was missing the cheddar added and bacon (which sucked)! The fries with the Hangover were not cooked through also (barely cooked/limp). This was on a Friday afternoon so they weren't terribly busy, just not sure what happened. read more

Ordered breakfast for carry out- soooo good! I had the bananas foster French toast- it comes with 3 good size slices and has the most delicious brown sugar bourbon sauce instead of syrup. Peppered bacon was perfectly crispy too. Love the take out presentation- presentation is often difficult for carry out orders but they did an excellent job! read more

We grabbed dinner here on a Thursday night, and it was much more lively than we expected! It seems like there is a large crowd of regulars who enjoy coming to play pull tabs. Even though it was busy, we were seated promptly and service was friendly. The buffalo wings were tasty, and there were paper towels at the table which came in handy while eating the wings - a nice touch. The sandwiches we tried were pretty average for a sports bar. I appreciated the Christmas decor as well, it made the space feel festive and cozy. Not somewhere I'd need to go back to for the food, but the atmosphere was fun if you enjoy sports bars. read more

Grilled Caesar sandwich was delicious. The Bread is covered in a Parmesan crust and not dry at all. Italian beef and pasta dishes hit the spot. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. Kids are big fans of the boneless wings - very saucy and good portion size. Burgers went over well too as well as the wildcat fries. Large bar area and indoor/outdoor seating. Pull tabs available while you pass the time. Lighting is a bit dim, but that gives it the ambiance. Always crowded and a bit loud but you're still able to carry on a conversation. They have a Bloody Mary bar I didn't partake in but if a person likes bloody Mary's, this setup looks FABULOUS! Trail Stop is one of my go-to places in Eagan! We enjoy sitting on their patio during a warm summer night. The regular menu has great staple items, and their seasonal menu is a bit more creative! Gave this place a try for lunch. Quick service. They do offer a lunch special where you pick 2 of sandwich, salad, and soup. That's what I got this particular day, with a turkey sandwich and the beer cheese soup, which was the special of the day. I normally love beer cheese, but I think they might have used an IPA or something super bitter for the beer, as the soup had quite a bite. Friend had a burger and it was giant. Split it in half and half even still seemed like too much. You definitely don't get cheaped out of food here. Prices were a little high for lunch, but I guess that's just the way things are now. Great family restaurant. Came in as a family of 4 at 6pm on a Friday night. The place was full, but somehow we were seated immediately. Service was great. Most of our food was pretty good, but choose from the menu wisely. The burgers were delicious. It seems the Cowboy Burger was the clear winner for our group, followed by the Caliente Burger (if you like peppers). The Steak & Bleu Wedge salad was tasty, but the grilled sirloin was a bit chewy and the bacon tasted more like bits of ham. The lettuce was extra fresh and crispy and made up for the non-crispy bacon. My son ordered the Santi's Street Tacos and didn't want to share with me but he said they were just okay. read more

Stopped for a late dinner on a Saturday, first impressions when walking in was it was SO loud. We were seated at a nice corner booth and a server came by our table shortly. We ordered several apps to share between our group, my favorite was the Nashville chicken sliders. They were HOT but I liked them. The other apps we tried were good, Szechuan green beans, burger sliders, and wings. I'd recommend if your looking for a local watering hole with good bar food. read more

The best part of this place was the service - our food was out alarmingly fast, we were shocked! It was great though, we were out within an hour. This is a cozy little joint - feels like both the neighborhood bar to go watch the game at, as well as a nice little place to grab a bite to eat on a night out with the family. For food, I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken bowl with rice noodles - it was delicious and even came with chopsticks! The dish was very light and tasty - packed with veggies and chicken. I got through about half and even ate the rest as leftovers the next day! I would definitely come back and order it again. Amazing sports tavern! The restaurant is split in half so I be ambiance is great for those who love sports or those who wish to enjoy the company of others. Checked out this spot on a whim when I was in the area because it has a decent rating but was unfortunately underwhelmed. The service and cleanliness were mediocre. The waitress was not very attentive or welcoming. Our table and seats still had crumbs on them, and the windowsill was dirty. The saving grace was the burger I got- the BLVD burger. I've been going here for years on Saturday mornings. I don't know how they stay in business. All the staff is indifferent. They never come back to see if refills are needed. Pancakes are served without syrup. Had to go and get our own. Not sure who is training the staff, but a better job needs to be done. We stopped here for lunch after visiting the ice maze. Food was just ok. I asked for NA options and was offered an NA margarita. It was ok. I had to send it back as it tasted like Pedialyte. Our server said they make it with some sort of electrolytes. My cod bowl had great fish, but the base had old lettuce and it kind of ruined it for me. I have to say our server was great and the service was very good. She was very understanding, apologetic, took the margarita back, and comped my NA beer. Atmosphere is a nice local bar with ample screens for viewing sports. Tons of wait staff but they aren't effective or attentive to patrons. Nice selections on the menu, cowboy burger was excellent however the cheese curds and deep fried pickles were quite disappointing. We watched our appetizers sit in the kitchen window while the wait staff sat around for over ten mins. Perhaps these appetizers would've been better served hot? Worth a shot if they can train their staff in better. read more

We stopped here after taking fall photos at Lebanon Hills park. It was a perfect weather day. We sat outside for lunch. Everyone's food was delicious.
