Ended up here on accident, but decided to stay for a few hours to play with the juke box and pinball machine. The JAWS pinball machine was hard to activate, but after bringing it quarters to eat it was ready. There is also a digital golf game next to it. The service is good - people are nice. It's what you would expect for a Midwest bowling ally and bar/eatery. The eating area is very spacious so you have plenty of places to sit. The menu has an overwhelming amount of choices, but when you are drinking it becomes more of an exciting fun house to navigate. I thought that may mean the food would be average, but it was DANG delicious bar food. We got the BLT that is stacked with bacon and it is definitely one of the best BLTs I've had in a while. We showed up at 7:30 and didn't eat till 10:30ish. This is absurd I am starving and they wouldn't even let us play sand volleyball to pass the time. Good tasting Typical bar food with mediocre service. We opted to sit outside on their patio which was big with plenty of seating overlooking the sand volleyball courts. However, the entire patio is smoker friendly, so there was cigarette smoke smell that wafted throughout the entire meal. When we initially sat down the entire table was covered in cigarette ashes and a full ashtray, but they cleaned that up before our food came. (After we asked two wait staff) Service was slow and we did not get drink refills during our meal. The food was good and on our appetizers (potato skins, and garlic cheese bread) they did not skimp on the cheese as both were covered in delicious melted mozzarella. We are staying at the home 2 suites for a night before our flight and needed to find something for dinner. We almost didn't try this place because the parking lot seemed full and the rating is only 3.5 stars which doesn't seem accurate. We went to Fitz's bar & grill for dinner and I had the chicken wrap with fries and wife had the clubhouse with fries. The service was great, food came out really quick and was very tasty. If we happen to be in the area again we would for sure go here for another meal and drinks. When it comes to bowling alley food, I've generally had decent luck. Fitz's Bar inside of Cedarvale Lanes is no different. This is your typical, cookie cutter bowling alley bar feel. Weirdly lit with terrible carpet, a bar straight out of the 80s, dated carpet and overall furnishings. But isn't that what makes it great? I've always had a pleasant experience with the staff. They all always appear to be super busy but stay friendly. They definitely favor the regulars a little but rightfully so. I'm not mad about it. The food is average to above average. They have some insanely good nachos which I strongly recommend. Other things, such as burgers, can be a miss but not terrible. Wings, chicken tenders, and various sandwiches are all decent. I can't say whether or not I would seek it out or go out of my way for but if you are bowling or even just in the area, it's worth having. read more

We don't often have adventures in the suburbs, but when we do - we are so critical. This place as PACKED! WOWZA, what a hot spots. The wait staff could barely keep up. Just as we thought we had been forgotten about, our server grabbed drink orders while trying to apologize and not stop moving. Our server was so playful and sweet, even at his busiest moments. We had some friends arrive and we wanted to close our tab and move to sit with our friends - how annoying - our server not only helped us promptly close out our tabs....he had our food waiting for us at our friends table. Our sandwiches were good, they were what we ordered, our drinks were great, but these 5 stars are for our darling server busting his ass running around Fitz's! On a rainy day like today, this is a great option for food and entertainment; sweatpants and cut-off t-shirts are encouraged (and I'm saying this with love). I ordered the sloppy joe special, which just makes me adore the Midwest even more. I dripped all over my fries (a sign of some good slop), but I didn't eat the fries because they were bland and squishy. The wings were nothing special (but nothing horrid), and the breadsticks were HOT (in temperature). I barely chewed and did that whole open-your-full-mouth-and-breathe-in-and-out-fast-to-cool-down-the-bite-you-shouldn't-have-taken thing. We ordered from here through door dash this weekend after seeing they had birria tacos. We got jalapeño poppers and Mexican pizza as well. We haven't had birria tacos before so don't have good frame of reference for how good they compare, but we thought they were amazing! Super tender meat, flavorful, good tasting consommé, cheesy goodness. The Mexican pizza had a ton of toppings and good flavor and textures and the jalapeño poppers were decent, nothing too special but good overall. I just went through one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. While eating and drinking outside, on the patio, the manager very rudely came out and told me I had to leave because I was not allowed to have my dog with me. I have brought my dog several times before to this restaurant, while sitting outside, watching my friends play volleyball. Even after disclosing to her I was disabled and my dog provided me help when going into public spaces - she said she didn't believe me (even though she could see I was physically injured) and proceeded to threaten me if I didn't leave. The complete disrespect and disgusting treatment I received- I surely will not set foot back in that establishment - AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU. read more

A short walk from the Laundromat and we arrive at this Eagan, MN playground. This was my first time here and I was amazed at everything Fitz's had to offer. It's not just a bar, it's a destination place with a bowling alley, a bar, and 4 sand volleyball courts. Definitely not boring! We sat at the bar and ordered some cold beers. Nothing stands out and I was very disappointed as the locale is near me and I need some more variety in my Yelpy life. There's remarkably little second-hand noise from the adjoining bowling alley. There's also a remarkable lack of actual customer service. I've no idea of the food quality. I was there with friends twice and both times would've had to track down my waitress if I wanted anything. I saw many people approach her and order from her in the middle of the restaurant. Every time I saw this happen she seemed stunned. As if she'd never in her life expected anyone to speak to her. I saw a fellow hold up his Budweiser bottle and ask for another. She asked him what he was drinking. The bartender was crabby about making change for the billiards tables (which both need new felt). She did seem to hover over people she knew. But at times she was nowhere to be found. I waited tables for years, this woman behaved as if someone had thrown her to the lions with no training at all. She once delivered a drink to our table-once-and didn't bother to ask anyone if they needed anything, This is no kind of a destination for anything. Bowling maybe. They've got a ton of lanes out there. Might need to order two drinks at a time. I felt the entire time as if I'd entered some weird nonsense dimension. read more

Part of the reason this place has become such a default for me is because the food is tasty, the atmosphere is great, and the wait staff is always friendly and fun. I have yet to be disappointed in a sandwich or burger form them and haven't really found anything on the menu that I don't like. That being said for some reason I keep going back to their Reuben because mmmmmmm Reuben. If you're worried that the restaurant is tied to a bowling alley, don't be they're linked in such a way that the noise of the lanes and the groups of people bowling really don't interfere with the restaurant side of things at all. read more

Ordered the French dip - honestly, Arby's is better. Also ordered the steak & burrito. Spent the next day on the toilet. Popcorn & beer was good, that's the only reason for 2 stars. This is an old school bowling alley bar that has bingo and meat raffles and unfortunately a ton of families with kids! The noise level is high. Our server was a peach and very nice. I had a couple cocktails and some pot roast sliders that I would order again the mashed potatoes and gravy were salty but really good and I ordered a burger but after my taters I had no room. I had the patty melt and house fries with their famous seasoned sour cream. The burger was great, the waffle fries were crisp and that sour cream was amazing. My friend Matt and I decided to go out for Bingo one evening over the summer and he suggested Fitz's. I had never been here before and I was in for quite a pleasant surprise! First off, you pull into the parkinglot and find yourself next to a really cool set up with a HUGE outdoor patio/deck, and four vollyball courts, plus a little hut bar out on the patio so you don't have to wait for your drinks if you don't have one in front of you. The bowling alley is a nice touch to the interior as far as having something to do, but my favorite really was the bar bingo. The cards were super cheap and the prizes were actually really good! The games were quicker than I expected but that might have something to do with the fact that there were only two tables left when we were there. The food is WAY better than I expected! I ordered a Hawaiin Chicken Sandwich and was SHOCKED when it got to me! I have never been to such a dive-y place before that has food this good! The fries were fantastic and the chicken was cooked to perfection! Next time I am in Eagan I will be sure to stop in again!!! read more

Love this place! We don't bowl, but love their food. Their holiday brunch is great, their regular menu has good variety for a pub menu, and the food is great. We've had parties in their lower level, and the broasted chicken was amazing... we like the (free) popcorn (most nights), good appetizers, great drinks, good burgers and sandwiches. Delicious bar food, but also an extensive menu with plenty of variety! I bowl here on Wednesday nights (Go Lenny's Ladies!!), so maybe once a month or so I'll order dinner from Fitz's either before, during, or after league. My favorite is the grilled cheese--um, hello! Fantastic grainy bread that is buttery and perfectly toasted, with ooey gooey cheeses oozing out the sides? YES PLEASE!!! It's so simple yet done so right. I always get the waffle fries with seasoned sour cream--heaven. The sweet potato fries are also delish. Last time I was there, my cousin ordered the club sandwich, which I am going to get next time (branching out, trying something different!) because it looked fantastic! Even my mom, who is very particular and only ever orders salads, had nothing but good things to say about the taco salad (ordered without the shell). Portions are just overly big. The side of fruit is the size or a regular order, and the regular size fruit order is the size of a boat. Waitresses are all friendly and quick to respond.
