Called to inquire about a catering order, spoke to a worker, was on hold several times..said she'd call back to confirm so that she can see if the order was all set for that weekend. Did not receive a call, I called the next day to confirm.. spoke to a "managed named Justin" who was very nice and told me that the woman had given me the wrong quote and that he would take care of the order and that it was all set. This Justin had even told me to not worry about payment and to come in tomorrow asking for him and that the order would be all set for 8:30. (I've ordered and know how restaurant industry is so not taking a payment beforehand was already weird to me). So of course I thanked him for his help and went on with the weekend. Day of pick up running around and get there late to pick up the order, (9:00 instead of 8:30 * as Justin had said it would be done). What do ya know? My boyfriend went and picked up the order I told him it would be a breeze bc of the service I got over the phone... nope Justin proceeded to say the order was not done yet and that my boyfriend would have to come back in 15-20 mins, AND that next time I should CONFIRM the order. Nice if I recorded the call you'd specifically said I was all ready to go for 8:30. Pathetic service and continued to put it on the customer after what they claimed. Awful management by this Justin. Also never gave me an itemized receipt. If you're looking to get a large order of wings.. I'm sure it came out to $240 for only 114 wings. Let me start by saying I've only ever dined in the Littleton location before last night and it has always been a great experience. They lost their permit for the igloos temporarily so we tried The Lowell location. The igloos are in the wide open so they are freezing. The blankets were soaking wet from the basket they were sitting in being on the ground and the manager informed us that they were only decorative and if we wanted a blanket we could purchase one (in addition to the $50 igloo rental?!). The food was over cooked and unappetizing and the guy who brought it to us had his mask under his chin. We were in an igloo to avoid COVID germs. The whole experience was unpleasant to say the least. Will never go back to that location. It was an expensive, freezing, unsatisfying experience all around. read more

The food here is very good. I have been multiple times now. The menu is expensive and you have to be prepared to spend a minimum of $50 with two people not including tip. Our last experience we ordered the pretzel bites right away,as I had been craving that all day. It took a while to arrive and Jolena noticed that our appetizer was taking a long time and went back to check on it. A while later she came back but unfortunately the bites were still semi frozen and she promised to go back and get us more. The food came next and had large portions that were delicious. Jolena returned with the appetizer and promised they would be taken off the bill because we had already started eating the entree. After that the rest of the evening was good. Food was great. Beer was good. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. We really liked the service and food portions but would recommend planning for an hour and a half dinner because the kitchen takes a long time. read more

Terrible service experience at tavern in the square in Cranston rhode island. Wait time was unnecessarily long many due to many open tables. Server was very rude and neglectful brought us wrong drinks. The food was very overpriced I ordered a personal pizza(pizza slice sized pie) it tasted like crackers with marinara sauce and cheese for ELEVEN DOLLARS. We waited over 30 minutes for them to bring us the check where the waiter made us feel guilty for not ordering more. I reported our issue to the owner and I'm assuming his daughter and they were very rude and UGLY the blonde daughter looks like a troll and belongs under a bridge. I love Tavern in Burlington's brunch ... so I am sad to say Lowell was a huge disappointment. I go to the buffet for the Eggs Benedict. The tray was empty when we arrived so I grabbed a pouched egg w spinach. The poached eggs looked like little balls so I new they were going to be over cooked but I was hungry. After about 13 minutes of waiting (along with 2 other people) for Eggs Benedict .... they came out looking just like the poached eggs and they were just as overcooked! Huge disappointment. Most of the food in the buffet looked horribly dry. Even my husband who is very easy when it comes to food was disappointed. We ate some of the food because we were there and hungry but it was not enjoyable. I wanted them to be as good as Burlington but there was no comparison. read more

Justin, Tia, and Niko are the only reason I'm obsessed with Tavern in the Square. No matter how busy it gets these guys are the absolute best, friendliest bartenders around. They're quick and attentive, and always go out of their way to make conversation with people. Their amazing attitudes and great customer service keep me coming back time and time again. I appreciate these guys and their hard work so much. Shoutout to management and the kitchen staff for always helping me out with any special request and never making me feel like I was a nuisance. Very frustrated with this location. I love one item on their menu. They changed how it was presented. I ask for it the old way (which they still have the items on other plates) and I am either getting push back from the hostess/server answering the phone. I have not gotten the dish right once. Missing the items that make it fresh and flavorful. I might as well go somewhere else. Tonite tried again. Steak way overcooked. Aspargus (that I did not want) really burnt. No greens or aspargus/corn salad. Asked for dressing on the side. Had to ask for it and again got attitude. Brand new location. Had never visited a Tavern in the Square yet, so glad they opened in my city! Went on a Thursday night with my friend for some dinner and drinks. The whole restaurant look is amazing! There's a huge bar inside and outside in the patio. Huge tv's would be great to catch a game! We sat outside. It was a decent warm night but the heaters on the ceilings made it all better!! Our sever Nichole was very kind, attentive, and also gave recommendations/ opinions. I had a few patron margaritas with the steak tip entree. The loaded waffle fries have to be the best thing I've ever had! Dessert chocolate chip cookie with ice cream was also great! Stayed for a while and noticed it stay very busy. This might be the new spot in Lowell. Will be back shortly! read more

I am a HUGE Tavern in the Square advocate. If I'm given the option to go anywhere for dinner, this is my #1 choice. So last night, when my friend asked where I wanted to go for dinner, there was no question! When we got to the restaurant, we ordered a pitcher of the Berry Sangria - HIGHLY recommended! It was absolutely delicious. However, when I received my menu, I was SO disappointed. They had changed the entire menu. There was nothing that really caught my eye, so I ordered the mac & cheese with pulled pork. It was OK, the pulled pork didn't have much flavor and the mac and cheese was relatively boring, but that's expected of any mac and cheese. I'm so bummed they got rid of the old menu. I miss the chicken, bacon and waffles! I think they should expand their menu a little to bring back the classics. read more

*sigh*. Having been to TITS many times before, I was disappointed with this experience. Not only was the food late, but 2 of our 4 entrees were cold....not lukewarm or room temp....cold. The restaurant made new dishes for us but by the time they came the 2 other guests were done eating. Our food was delicious and our server was very sweet and accommodating to our party of 5. There is something on the menu for everyone- vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. A few things went wrong as they do sometimes, but our server quickly remedied the issues and adjusted the check accordingly. It was ok, nothing pulling me back here to spend $14 for a burger and fries equivalent to McDonalds whoever McDonalds is half the price. First time visiting for a late lunch with my hubby and teenage son. Great ambiance and really nice outdoor seating areas and bar. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job. Fish sandwich ($13.99) was yummy and the tater tots were great as I had been told by a friend. Husband got a bowl of chili ($6.99) and said it was pretty good. Son ordered buffalo chicken mac & cheese, which we weren't impressed with. For $17.99 I was a bit disappointed. The raspberry peach sangria ($8.95) was tasty but the glass could've been a little bit bigger. Big beer selection available and some interesting specialty cocktails. But definitely a bit more pricey than other local places... a large draft runs you around $6.95. Stopped in late on a Friday afternoon with my friend, Lillian. PRO - Seated right away, we asked for inside as it was crazy hot out. Though there were lots of people on the patio & many people around the huge bar watching the many TV screens. I got my usual for here, the Cesar salad with steak tips. Lillian got a burger with fries which she though was very good. Waitress was very nice & brought our drinks quickly. We split the chocolate brownie dessert with the Guinness caramel on it. Weren't sure about the caramel at first but figured we'd try it. Glad we did. I'd come back for this dessert alone. It was GREAT. CON - I asked for my steak tips medium, they came pretty much completely charred & dried out. both inside & out. Yuck. And there were only 3 small tips on my good sized salad. The dressing wasn't very tasty either, unless you really, really like mayonnaise. Not spicy, or even really Cesar, all I could taste was maynonnaise. I was hugely disappointed in it. I do, and this food won't leave you feeling like that. I was working and I was starving, I went on to Uber Eats and this place was recommended. I thought I would give it a try, I was surprised because I was all the way in Tewksbury and it was the Super Bowl so I thought no way would they deliver it, but they did! I had chicken and a side of Mac and cheese. Honestly, this was exactly what I wanted and probably better. I'm surprised this place is getting a 3 on Yelp because even after letting it sit for a while until I could get to it, it was still delicious! My husband and I came in around 2:30 for lunch. I had the sangria for a drink and it was delicious. My husband had a martini which was good. I ordered the chicken, bacon and waffles and it was delicious. The waffle was crisp. The chicken was generous and not oily. The mashed potatoes were great. I come from out of state and this has been my second visit to this location. First time was amazing and the beers where good. Unfortunately my second time in the tavern the general manager decided to inspect my license. He bent and broke it in half and claimed I was under age. Did not bother testing my license the right way. Also I was blamed for given the staff my license broken when in fact it was the general manager that had broken it. When I was leaving I noticed that I never got my sandwich and asked about it.
