Honestly customer service is one of the issues . When I come in to grab take out you don't even know half of the dirty looks I'd receive like if me ordering take out is an issue . Also I order the same thing all the time I never change it due to the menu being boring honestly these people have to update there stuff , take things out and add new things. The bayjou chicken pasta is good when made correctly & the tso chicken as well is pretty good everything else needs some Work . Also when ordering take out from this place , I got my pasta made right legit only 3 times cause every other time they were either being cheap with toppings where my pasta would be DRY or they over cook the pasta because the texture would be chewy . I've been coming here for a couple years now and everything is usually on point. This is my go to spot for a night out with friends. I have tried more than half of the entire menu and can honestly say I've enjoyed everything. The ability to make a majority of the menu accommodating to all diets (gluten free, vegan, etc) is wonderful. The appetizers I usually go for are the fried pickles and bang bang broccoli. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. They also have healthier options! The quinoa bowl has a ton of veggies and is full of flavor. Service is good. I usually like to try out new restaurants but Tavern is one place that I am always returning to! Love their huge draft list, so many to pick from, lots of local brews and always rotating! It's like an upscale sports bar with TVs everywhere but you could also just sit and have a nice relaxing dinner as well. I've also never had a bad meal. In the summer, its nice to sit at their outdoor bar and sip their amazing sangria - probably the best I've had. Only downfall is it can be a little pricey depending on what you order. Pro Tip: Download their Tavern in the Square app to earn points towards $ off, it adds up fast! Traveled here last month, horrible service and my dear friend was treated rudely because she wouldn't give the guy her number. We were left for an hour before somebody took our order, my friend is a vegetarian and they gave her a meat patty, we hen we complained they called the cops on us, saying we were trying to skip on our bill. I believe Tavern in the Square is close to perfecting the chain restaurant code. While its a small regional chain, they are really excelling in providing quality food and experience at each location. This trip was a just a girls night/ late dinner. It wasn't super busy but steady enough. We were seated immediately and served within a matter of minutes. We ordered a pitcher of sangria and crab rangoons. The pitcher is definitely worth the money as it was about 4-5 servings. It was very sweet but not very strong. The crab rangoons were fantastic! For dinner I ordered the cornflake crusted chicken and waffles. The chicken was very moist but the waffle sadly was a let down. There was a side of buffalo sauce which I found confusing. I think agave as opposed to maple syrup would really bump this dish to the next level. Overall a great visit and can't wait to come again! read more

The portion is massive for just an app. We literally could of just ordered this and would of been good for lunch. Steak and Avocado Salad- Roasted corn and black beans with huge slices of tomatoes, grilled avocado, cilantro ranch dressing and over-cooked steak. Eh. Duck Confit Sandwich- Cranberry, stuffing, brie and duck inside a baguette. Pretty good. Chicken, Bacon, & Waffles- Tasty deep fried chicken with waffles, bacon, mashed potato drenched in maple syrup. Yummy. Cranberry Apple Sangria- Loaded with fresh fruits and packed with flavor. Overall Service: Our first waiter was awesome!Here's the thing though, when I had asked about UFC, they mentioned they do put it on all the time here and even put on the PPV fights. We needed a place in this area for whenever we decide to go out to watch it and this would have been the ideal spot. I mean, tots and UFC, sounds like a good time to me! I have been coming to Tavern since I was 21. I am now 26 y/o. The reason I come here is because the atmosphere, good vibes and especially the bartender. In the past, I came daily to visit Justin who is now a manager! Bravo! but now, In specific, I only come in Tuesday. It's a weekly thing! I have the insider app, which gives me points on food and beverages I spend. I only come on Tuesday because of one specific bartender, Mariah. She has such an amazing personality, out going, and she always has a smile. She has never gave me an issue, and always willing to check on me if everything is alright. I always have great time when Mariah's is here. But actually I only come to Tavern because of Mariah. If she wasn't here then I don't think I would enjoy my time. She always give amazing recommendation for food, and alcohol beverages. I can not thank Mariah enough for all her work ethics she has provided to serve me as a customer. Who I am sometimes a pain, especially when I love to watch my WNBA game! The manager knows when I am here, she knows it's me who's requesting for a good game to watch. Went to the one in Lowell yesterday at 4pm with my 2 kids and if I could I would give it a 0. We were sat right away and no one came by to take are order and after 20 minutes we just left. I don't get it because it wasn't busy but I think it's just poor management. Plus after sitting so long I walked to the bathroom and it was filthy!! We were greeted right away and told there would be an hour wait unless we sat at the bar instead of a dining table. They were busy. We went to the bar and I'm thinking we were never going to get service because the only seat was behind the tap and blocked the bartender view. 1 minute later she popped her head under the tap and said what can I get you! She was great the whole time. Right on it. The other thing is the place was clean. It had a nice layout and feel to it. It was awesome to see their own brand on all their glasses, coasters, and not one of the big beer logos. It has to be a big expense to buy and brand them. The food was very good when it eventually arrived. Steak tips were excellent, salmon was spot in, chicken was good, and strawberry salad was very good. Really wish we could say the service was better. We were the first to arrive for lunch and didn't get served for an hour. Our drinks were empty for over 1/2 hour we finally had to grab the manager and ask if our waitress went on lunch break. After the manager spoke with her we could tell it improved. What was disappointing was as the food came out the manager blamed the salmon for taking long, which wasn't accurate since the order included steak tips which take longer and the table across from us had those and they got their food before us. This is a great place to catch up with friends and dates for drinks. It's conveniently located in the Crosspoint Towers (near Lowell Showcase Cinema Theatre). This modern-decor restaurant is filled with high-top tables, comfy booths, and a circular bar with tons of flat screen TVs. It is packed during game nights. Also, there is outdoor seating with a fireplace for when weather is favorable. I've eaten here a few times before and for this particular occasion, I met up with friends for celebratory drinks. Despite my hesitation, we ended up ordering food as well: -- Truffle Tots: I love tater tots and these had a nice crunch but were a bit greasy for me. -- Lamb Meatballs: they were overcooked and poked many times during the cooking process then covered with pickled vegetables (carrots, daikon radish, cucumber) to hide the holes. -- Deluxe Pasture Burger: the burger was okay but the sweet potatoes fries were tasty. -- Hand-pie (St. Patty's Day Special menu item): filled with ground beef and fell flat in flavor. -- Farro Bowl: served on a plate. I didn't get a chance to try this dish but I like that this place have healthy options. Overall, their food is mediocre but their drinks are really good. We ordered a round of Gin Blossom which is delicious (highly recommend). I've had other cocktails here as well and remember them being tasty. I attended a function and waited until most of our group went up for the buffet food. They ran out of pretzel bites and when I asked the server to please bring some out, I was told there were no more, but I would place an order myself. I thought this was ridiculous for one pretzel bite that should have been on the buffet when they ran out. The service for the buffet was poor. There was no one to check the amount of food left and I had to ask a waitress when one was around to please bring out more food for the chafing dishes were empty. For starters, we have the fried calamari and sweet and spicy Korean ribs. Our main dish is a breakfast burger and fries. Let's jump right into this review. Not much to say about the calamari; it was fairly average. The sweet and spicy Korean ribs were more sweet than they were spicy (just the way I like them) and the meat was fairly tender too. I was very excited when I read the menu description of the breakfast burger, and wow was this burger big. However, right under it was a pool of grease and oil. Biting into it, all I could really taste was the amount of oil it was drenched in. The fries on the other hand were surprisingly good, but I didn't finish them since the burger filled me up. We were served by multiple waiters and waitresses and the general service was pretty good. They even made sure to give us fresh utensils and napkins for our main dishes. For what you are paying for the burger, I say they give you a large portion of food. I've spent more on places with smaller burgers and less fries. However, that burger was just too heavy for me and I will not try it again. Nor will I try any other burger for a while because of this experience. In conclusion, I had a fairly average experience here. Nothing throughout the night really stood out to me. I don't recommend the breakfast burger though. Well, those of you who know me, know that I am NOT a pub food fan. BUT TITS has really good food, and the menu isn't intimidating. Our server was FABULOUS. Wine list is "ok", drink menu on the "girlie sweetie" side, lots of beers (that I don't drink). The drawback for me is that the place is too loud for my taste, catering to a "younger" "hipper" crowd than I. I'd rather go to Lock 50 - that said, I won't turn away their food. The lamb meat balls are delicious, NOT as drop dead I HAVE TO EAT THEM like the ones the RailTrail took off their menu (yea, the ones I would call in for take out at least once a week? Yea, those.). Came out cold but they were very tasty and juicy. The hubby went for a burger with everything but the kitchen sink - EGG - dripping everywhere... SWOON! but before I could taste it... it was inhaled... and of course, the master of always ordering the worst thing for you, he had the tots. Really good! I opted for a veggie burger (cough...) and their patty is more like a sweet potato hash - very very flavorful, and with an egg and the avocado, it really killed the hunger pangs (ok, so I was trying to eat clean and traded my buns, uh, THE buns, OK THE BURGER BUNS, jeez you dirty minded people, I'm an old lady! Settle down!) and I didn't pass up the crispy, crunchy house-made potato chips. Would I purposely come out to one again? No. Would I join my girlfriends or friends for a night out? Sure. I'd give this 4 stars only because my meal was sort of bland. I love the atmosphere, and with the tent plus the outdoor covered area with a bar and all, it seemed like indoor/outdoor dining. I was sat "inside" and we ordered guac and a spritz. The guac was a little salty, which I thought was the chips but can confirm it was the guac itself. My spritz was good, but not very strong, even with vodka. I ordered the salmon bowl, which was more like a plate with white rice, bits of salmon, broccoli, and green beans. The portion was HUGE and I had two full-sized meals out of it. The amount of salmon was also very generous and I liked the tropical salsa on top, but that was the only bit of "seasoning" and flavor.
