1st time being here and came with the kids. They loved their burger and pizza. We were not a fan at all of the French toast bites. I loved my sesame salmon bowl and service was really good.

I thought the place was pretty nice and initially liked the food but it gave me the worst food poisoning of my life. Service was good and the place was nice enough but obviously I just can't give it more stars after being so sick after eating here.

They had plenty of food options! They even had gluten free options, which is hard to come across nowadays. I went for brunch and the space was nice and quiet and then started to pick up. The service was quick.

Came here for my birthday because it was close by. It was a cold icy day and it was pretty empty. We were seated quickly. There plenty of seating for small to large parties. Our waiter was quick and attentive. We started with the whipped feta dip which was creamy, tangy and sweet. The warm flat bread was nice in our cold hands. My partner order the bake tortellini which he found delicious. As the birthday boy I ordered a house sangria which was on happy hour price and I got a NY Strip Steak. The steak was cooked to my liking and flavorful. I was very pleased with my experience there. Would come back for another dinner.

Food is pretty good. I especially like their chicken tenders. They are some of the best I've had anywhere. Their brunch is great as well.

Brunch definitely had me going back! Love that I can have a delicious GF brunch. Weather gluten free or not there's options. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did! Service was truly wonderful. It's very casual and chill. Perfect for a weekend brunch. The brunch menu offers breakfast items and also some heavier lunch items! Can't forget those cocktails! The Gluten free pumpkin were out of this world! Tasted just like a regular pancake. Not grainy, not dry . Just perfect! I had the egg Benedict with crispy chicken ( gf) and I couldn't even finish it! The GF muffins used were great! And those breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy! Last week I tried the breakfast sandwich ( gf) and I was completely satisfied. Looks like brunch will have me going back! Cant wait for new items on there!

Weekend adventure After dropping off a bunch teenagers at the mall we decided to hang around and try new places. Tavern in the Square picked our interest. Very spacious and relaxed during brunch time. I loved the indoor patio, Im always looking for sit near the window where I can see the world go by. The food was fantastic, yummy wings and Our waitress very knowledgeable of the menu gave me a very good recommendation . Very good choice for this visit.

Haven't seen my friend in a super long time and we decided to get dinner at @taverninthesquare in West Hartford. I got a really yummy salad with a side of fries (a true girl dinner) and she got some tacos and a side of Mac and cheese. We also shared this very yummy appetizer with some burrata and bread.

Absolutely loved it here! The food was all so delicious. Super fun ambiance during the UConn game and service was great.

Nice spot! Feels comfortable immediately! Bree, our server seemed a little tense at first but definitely loosened up and took great care of us. The place was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon. It's easy off the highway and in an area with a ton of shopping so that fits. We ate light. The highlight was the whipped feta. With some preserves and a hot honey. Oooh it was delicious! We'll be back!

My daughter was getting married nearby in a couple days, and the groom's dad and I decided to take some of the boys out for lunch and watch a football game while the girls spent time together. This restaurant was a perfect choice. The food, service, and variety of sports available to watch were excellent. Definitely recommend.

"Oh, Mexico It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low…read moreMoon's so bright like to light up the night Make everything all right" (James Taylor) Of all the West Hartford restaurants I've been to, this must be the most "un-West Hartford like" place I've ever seen. It's unpretentious, it has limited indoor seating (but there are outdoor options weather permitting), customers are served out of Styrofoam containers, and there are no booths. It felt more like we were in a beachside taqueria than in Fancy Pants West Hartford Center. But Oh, My Sweet Lord, are the food and value fantastic. We ordered at the counter after perusing their large and (honestly) somewhat confusing menu, and eventually settled on a Mexican Street Corn Equites ($7.50) as a shared appetizer, an El Jefe (Cheese) Quesadilla ($11), and an El Soltero Two Taco Plate ($14.95). The portions were huge, so for our $41 after tax and tip, half of everything came home and we'll be getting four servings from that $41. We started off with some complimentary chips and salsa. I fortified my salsa with some of the four hot sauces on my table, and I'm pretty sure at least one of them was home made. The Street corn appetizer was incredible. It was served in a big creamy bowl with cotija cheese and chili lime aioli. Amazing flavor, and a big portion too. The El Jefe was an immense portion served with four sides - salsa Mexicana, cotija cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. There was a generous variety of melted cheeses inside the quesadilla. My El Soltero is advertised as a "Personal Sized Meal for One", but that has to be a misprint because the amount of food for $14.95 is ridiculous. It included two purple corn tortillas, my choice of taco protein, guacamole, pico de gallo, taco slaw, and rice & beans. I went with Pescado (fried fish) and Crispy Shrimp as my proteins. Everything came piled into a Styrofoam container, so I could create my own masterpiece. My dinner was fantastic. Throw in the beautiful artwork inside and outside the building, the Mexican music, and free parking (Free in West Hartford !!!) and you'll see why this was such a fun night. So go visit and be sure to leave your West Hartford expectations (price point and otherwise) behind.

Good enough tacos in a little saloon…read more Drove by this place a bunch, and never gone here since there's a ton of food places around to try. This was their turn to try, and we made the trek here to give it a shot. The place is next to a Whole Foods with some small signage to indicate that it's there. The mural up front is very pretty and a stark contrast to the rest of the area. When you go inside, it feels like an old saloon, a little dark and a little unkempt but not off puttingly so. They had three menus to look at, and none of them matched. I asked about a walking taco they offered and was told it was not available. Asked if they would edit the menu and was told they would not because they were limited in menus. So the staff were a little irritated by us being there, which falls into the saloon atmosphere. We get some elote and some tacos, take them to go and after about 15 minutes we had food. Went to the car and dug in. The corn of the elote was not fresh, lead to soggy bites of corn covered in mayo and stale fire Cheetos. There was no attempt to make the tacos, instead we were given a plate of toppings with tortillas on top. The meats were lightly seasoned and not spicy, and I suspect they were hoping the tortillas would get warmed up by the food because they were tough and inflexible when we got them. Given the area, there's a lot of places to eat around there. You need to stand out to draw in patrons, and they don't seem to be trying so much anymore. They might be a decent bar, but not so much a good restaurant.

If they had different noodles it would be a 8.5/10. Now the birria taco.... AMAZING. Hit the spot for what I was craving!! I loved the crunch, flavor and dipped it in my consumé for extra flavor. Our server was very respectful and polite but very slow and not attentive at all. We went early (around 5:30 pm) and they were not busy at all. We wanted salt and lemon. Since our server was nowhere to be found, we asked the host. He said he'd bring those two things himself but minutes later I saw him cleaning a table. Some time went by, we reminded him about the salt and the lemon; he said he thought our server had taken care of that. Eventually, the host brought those two things to us. By that time, we had almost finished our meals. Diners started coming in and our server proceeded to take their orders. At least we could see him around. If that one server was so slow when there were just 4 or 6 customers, I don't know how he could handle any more. The host was also very polite and friendly. We've been to this restaurant several times before and had always been pleased with the quality of the service. Yesterday's situation took us by surprise. I hope management takes steps to improve the service. Their food continues to be excellent.
