    Market Chicken Salad
    Jimmy M.

The salads are incredible! My absolute favorite is the buffalo chicken salad with the house-made ranch dressing. The service is fast and dependable. If you prefer a large crowd, consider going on a Friday/Saturday. If you want a quiet lunch out, try a Wednesday or Thursday. The environment is great for going out with friends after a golf or ski trip, there is a bar, but it is also kid-friendly.

Cute little place right in front of Ski Liberty. Burger night is Wednesday and it's a burger and side for $7 or $8. They looked delicious. I got crab cakes (2) with a side salad and coke slaw for like $25! And they were nothing but delicious sweet crab, no fillers. Salad was fresh, no iceberg lettuce. Coleslaw was sweet. Had an orange crush which was very good. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. 4 adults, each with a beer or drink and dinner for less than $100! And everything was delicious.

Huge portions but my pasta with crab and vodka tasted like it had an overwhelming about of Parmesan cheese in it. It was good but not the best. Nice down to Earth atmosphere. I don't think we were ever asked how our meal was but other than that, service was pretty good for as busy as they were.

Nice country restaurant with a large crew of servers. Inside and outdoor seating including a separate bar. Nice spin on a three bean chili with lots of broth and tomatoes. Wide range of food and drinks. Tried the cheese burger and fries. Fresh meat, not frozen. Will go back again when in the area.

Stopped in for drinks and ordered a whiskey sour. I believe they were short staffed. When we told the waitress we were only getting drinks she was relieved. The view is of the ski lift at the golf course next door. The menu looked like typical Applebees/Chilis and nothing on the drink menu stood out. It was a nice pit stop.

Came here after a ski trip to liberty mountain. This place is located just across the street from the resort. Not too noticeable but was able to spot it from a distance from the neon lights outside the restaurant. The inside is gives me nice small town vibes. There is a pretty big bar and numerous tables and booths. Originally came just to get some beers but also got a couple appetizers. Decided to order on tap lagers which were great. Also got the 10pc chicken wing in the Caribbean jerk flavor. The wing flavor was flavorful and the wings were lathered in so much sauce. The chicken bbq flatbread was also great and pretty light. The service here was pretty fast and we enjoyed our time here. I will be back here on my future trips to liberty mountain.

My wife's Buffalo chicken salad... But with ranch dressing instead of buffalo sauce.

This restaurant is located in Fairfield, PA. They need to update the address on their website. We were directed to 989 Track Rd. but the actual address is 2789 Track Rd. I don't have any explanation for this discrepancy. This is a very casual place; the dining area is open to the bar, which I don't particularly care for, but it was clean. There is also a covered deck outside where you can sit and have your meal as well. The plastic bucket in the middle of the table was meant to be the communal waste can for discarded crab shells, shrimp skins, paper trash, etc. I guess it was a handy thing to have if you're eating crabs but kind of disgusting if you're not. I'd prefer NOT to have to look at the discarded remains of my fellow dining partners meals. My girlfriend and I each ordered wine; she a White Zinfandel and for myself a Pinot Grigio. Both were such an inexpensive version and so sickeningly sweet that we both winced when we took a sip. Hubby was happy with his Stella on tap. It's more of a beer place. My friend and I split an appetizer of peel and eat shrimp. They really were delicious and were more than just Old Bay Seafood seasoning; there was just something that made them really tasty. I tried one of her hush puppies and it was probably the best hush puppy I've ever eaten. My Crab Imperial was OK. It wasn't creamy. It was kind of chunky which was a little bit offputting. I'm not sure what type of crab was used‍The baked potato was way overcooked and had so much butter on it that I couldn't taste the potato. It was just a mushy greasy mess. Our salads came in such small plastic bowls that mine tipped over the first time I put my fork inside. My hubby's fish was outstanding and my girlfriend's husband gobbled up his dinner, so I'm assuming it was really good as well. Overall, it was ok ... I didn't feel it lived up to all the good reviews that it has gotten.

Let's be real, a restaurant attached to a hotel is usually where culinary ambition goes to surrender. Overpriced plates, underseasoned everything, food that tastes like it was cooked in a different zip code. Glory Ridge refuses to yield. The 12oz Delmonico arrived seared to a textbook medium rare, seasoned with nothing but salt and pepper -- because the kitchen clearly knows that great beef doesn't need reinforcements. No butter bath, no unnecessary sauce brigade. Just a beautifully confident cut that held the line from first bite to last. The fish and chips nearly stopped me in my tracks. The tempura batter was gossamer-light -- the kind of delicate, airy crust you'd expect from a specialty tempura shop in Japan, not a lodge in south-central Pennsylvania. And the fish held its heat and texture long after hitting the table, which tells you everything about the technique behind it. Prices are not just reasonable -- they're downright honorable for the quality being served. Glory Ridge Tavern doesn't just survive the hotel restaurant reputation. It crushes it. Gettysburg has seen enough miraculous stands for one address -- apparently it's not done yet.

I was excited to see great reviews for JB Seafood, located only a mile off US70. The shop is in a charming small historic building. We found parking behind the building. There was a steady stream of people going into the market. They sell fresh seafood to go and a selection of dine-in options. Many of the seafood prices are listed as Market Price. The crab sandwich was $23 with tax and there is an up-charge for use of credit card. The crabcake is thick with lump crabmeat. My sandwich was perfectly seasoned and prepared in authentic Maryland style. The bun with lettuce and tomato fresh were and tasty, too. The sandwich was perfection. The service was efficient. The clerk didn't waste time with pleasantries. The food takes awhile to prepare. I waited about 15 minutes after I ordered as they fresh bake the crab cakes. A tip jar sits by the cash register. The place is cute inside decorated in a harbor/seafood theme. There are 5 tables inside and 2 counters that seat 4 people each. It's the kind of place that you'd meet a friend for lunch and a beer and hang out. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out front. A tv monitor was playing basketball reruns. The crab cakes can be purchased unbaked to go (along with a host of other seafood). There is a small full bar and coke products. They also serve ice cream, which is what many of the families were stopping for on this hot summer day. I will make JB's a regular stop on my way through Maryland. Well worth a visit.

Food came out at just the right pace between courses. Ambience was only "ok"... I did notice that things looked a bit worn. And one thing that bothered me was that there were ceiling tiles that were badly water stained and sagging... nothing active, but it was very unsightly. Given that they are very easy to replace, leaving them there just made the place feel less "special evening" ambience to more like "a diner" which is a shame for a place i expected to be more classy. As for the food we had lots of positives to say. We tried the crab bisque appetizer which was thick and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and crab meat. The portion for a first course was generous. We also got the steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were cooked perfectly. They were plump, tender and flavorful the sauce was delicious. Be sure to ask for extra bread to soak up some of the broth and juices. The side salads were likewise generous portions, fresh and crisp. Very happy! The main courses come with just one side. I got the fried seafood platter with hushpuppies and my wife got the stuffed flounder with onion rings. The fried platter came with flounder, shrimp and oysters, with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. All were coated in a lightly seasoned breading that was crisp. Not overly thick. The hushpuppies, which other reviewers said were outstanding, I found to be on the sweet side. Crisp, yes, but overall just ok...I prefer mine more savory than sweet. The stuffed flounder was also very well done. Delicious. The flounder was cooked just right. Flaky and moist. The onion rings were thick cut, beer batter dipped. They were hot and crisp and the portion like everything else here was generous. In the end we did need a box to bring some of our entrees home. We left very satisfied. So I was pretty satisfied with the food and the service. Now if they could just do something to get the dining room as upscale as the food and service this would be an outstanding dining experience... thus only four stars instead of five.
