Very authentic Italian food at good prices! The space is not cramped and the service was great! Everything we had was wonderful and the portions were generous! I will definitely be back!

We were in New York near the Times Square strolling and found this place, lucky for us it wasn't as packed so we got a table and wow, what an experience. Amazing food, lovely ambience, we had a great time here. Pizzas - margherita was great, viddana which is the roasted red pepper, artichoke with mushrooms was really really well done. Pasta - loved the casarecce which was pasta with eggplant in that lovely Sicilian almond basil pesto was delicious! Dessert - cannoli - I'm not a fan of cannolis but this one really hit the spot with that lightly sweetened ricotta cheese with the caramelized orange peel (this did it for me!) and crushed pistachio nuts. I will never forget the taste of that orange peel in this cannoli. Wonderful place! Good food! Highly recommend.

One my favorite Italian restaurants in NY in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood! It's cozy, the food is outstanding, and I make sure that I return every time I travel to NY! I love seafood, so I always get either the spaghetti with clams or spaghetti with seafood. They also are known for the wood fired Neapolitan pizzas.

This is a pretty solid spot for some Italian food in a neighborhood that is pretty chaotic/not known for good restaurants. The restaurant is a decent size and lit with mood lighting. I sat at the bar promptly at 5pm, which is when happy hour ends (they only do happy hour 3pm-5pm) but the bartender was nice enough to accommodate one glass of wine at the happy hour price. I had the cacio e pepe which was good and not too rich, as sometimes it can be in other restaurants. Service was fast, efficient and kind. I didn't have much time so I was glad that the whole meal was efficient. Prices are pretty standard and the happy hour drinks are a good deal. They have a large brick oven for pizza making and I'd be down to come back and try a pizza. Nice little hidden gem on 9th Ave

It was my first night in New York City. We got this recommendation from some locals. It was super close to our hotel so why not try it? I made a reservation once we arrive. I saw they had a bar and we opted to sit at the bar. The chairs were small and not super comfortable but I still preferred the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine. They brought us some bread. The olive oil that was with the bread was so flavorful. I did ask what it was, but I've already forgotten. We had a Caprese salad. Super delicious. For entrées, I had a lasagna All the food was super good. The service was fabulous. The atmosphere was lovely casual yet perfect date night. We liked it enough that on our last day we came for pizza at lunchtime.

I had another great experience here last night! Tavola continues to be a go-to of mine in this area. It can get busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Last night I had the burrata appetizer and it was amazing! So simple and fresh. I also had the cacio e Pepe, which is a fav of mine!

Walked here in between a few shows we were attending. It is very hard for my wife who is Italian but has to eat gluten free to be at an Italian restaurant and not be able to order what she would like to eat. She got the gluten free pizza, not her favorite and I got the classic spaghetti and meatballs and loved it! This restaurant is alla carte so I ate the whole dish!

Hit the spot!! Great cozy place, perfect for date night. Was able to make a reservation for Valentine's Day even on 2/13. The pizza came out quick and was soo delicious. Lovely atmosphere and service!

Little eatery near our hotel in Hell's Kitchen area. Made reservations for 4 plus a toddler on a Wed night and they were able to accommodate us last minute. Service I must say was outstanding, our server was very attentive and explained all the specials for us. She recommended items to eat and also suggested some wine. My husband and I split the veal Ragu which was to die for a long with a pizza which is neopoltan style, thin crust. Extensive Italian menu with reasonable prices for NY.

We wanted to grab a quick dinner near our hotel and we were very pleased with this cute restaurant. Service was excellent. Captured pics of our appetizer which were the meatballs. Those were outstanding!! Both entrees were good not great. Pork tenderloin with mozzarella stuffed and prosciutto wrapped and cacio peppe entree both were good but would pick another dish next trip.

    Gnocchi, unbelievably soft!
    Carin R.

We had ordered quite a few dishes and were truly happy with everything. The burrata was creamy and silky, probably the best I have ever had. The arancine should be listed as extra large, they are huge! The spaghetti with chicken meatballs were a hit with my friend's son and the gnocchi melted in your mouth, they were so soft. There were two downsides. We were a party of three but they seated us at a two top right on top of the wait station with plenty of open tables. Also, our server might have been on the new side. She never told us about the specials, forgot the vegetable side dish we ordered, nor asked if we wanted to order desserts just offered the check. Franco, the manager was charming and very enthusiastic to share the history of the restaurant and how the interior is all original. It's so nice to see that it was preserved, truly old school New York vibe. Highly recommend making reservations to ensure getting a table, one can do it right on the Yelp app.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars
