I ordered the spaghetti with short rib meatballs and if you're a spaghetti lover, this is definitely worth trying. The meatballs were rich, tender and packed with flavor, while the pasta was just delicious. But the real surprise was the MASSIVE mozzarella stick. I genuinely was not expecting it to be that big, and somehow it was even more delicious than it looked. Crispy on the outside, perfectly cheesy inside, and paired with marinara for dipping. Right in the heart of Times Square, this restaurant was something we always "wrote off" a a "tourist spot", but we finally tried it and was pleasantly surprised. It has a bit of the classic dinner spot vibe with servers dressed for an occasion, leather booths, huge bar and great energy. I waited tables for 20 years and as a retired teacher, I now attend to customers/passangers while in flight. I recognize when a food server is invested in their time work you. It's always so important to follow your service to the end. It felt like we were overflow and our server had a separate section in another part of the restaurant. First and foremost, the service from the primary server and busboy were excellent. They were both very attentive by keeping my water glass full and they always stopped by to collect any plates I no longer needed. Cutlet was gigantic and pounded thin; the breading gave it a nice crunch. The small chicken bone on the side of the cutlet was a nice decorative touch. The sauce had fresh chunks of tomatoes and complimented the CP. Parmesan Cheese was freshly grated with a cheese grater. The mozzarella cheese needed to be melted down a bit more; wasn't charred enough and was too gooey. Although the $13 up charge for the five spaghetti pomodoro was a bit pricey, I was still grateful there was an up charge option to begin with. My parents came into the city to celebrate my birthday and we ended up at Bond 45 without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon around 4:15pm. Beautiful ambiance and well dressed staff. The meal was nothing short of spectacular. The anti-pasta bar is absolutely to die for and it would be a shame if you missed it during your visit. This is a place that's not afraid to put in appetizers in before you order your main course so don't hesitate to tell your waitress exactly what you want when you want it. Within Hotel Edison, where we stayed, were two complimentary breakfasts. On the lower level was a "grab and go" breakfast. I couldn't believe the wonderful offerings: fresh fruits (apples, bananas and tangerines), large croissants, three egg sandwiches, granola and fruit topped yogurts, orange juice and coffee! My egg, cheese and caramelized onion was so delicious. My coffee was deep brewed and was very good. Service was fast and servers were wonderful. I'm always a little hesitant about dining in very tourist-heavy areas, and this restaurant is located right in the Theater District. My niece made the reservation because of its close proximity to our 7:00 pm show. They recommend booking no later than 4:30-4:45 pm for a 7:00 pm curtain, and after our experience, I agree. We arrived a little after 5:00 pm due to my flight and commute into the city and still made it out around 6:40 pm, but there were only two of us. Ok let's start with the good. Great location if you're going to a broadway show. The place is pretty big inside most of the patrons are actually seated in the basement which is a pretty good size. When we went, it was a little bit warm down there. The staff are all professionals our waiter checked in multiple times and took great care of us, you can tell they train their staff quite well. Onto the food, I had the chicken parmigiana which was fine. I asked for a side of rigatoni but you only get spaghetti so I had to pay extra. Drinks are def on the higher end. Martinis are $20. We had what seemed like the smallest, little round table in the middle of the restaurant, but the food more than made up for it. First our server was great, made great suggestions, and everything he told us about and described, was spot on and worth it. I had the lasagna and it was honestly, one of the most delicious Italian meals I've ever had. It's not your typical lasagna, it's in 3 rolls and with béchamel. It's a unique take on the classic and I can not recommend it enough. My husband had a stuffed pasta which he also said was great, but the portion was on the smaller side. Very underwhelming experience. The Smash Burger I ordered tasted like a frozen patty flash grilled or even microwaved, then covered in melty cheese and the cheapest quality small bun. There's no way to tell if the frozen party was cooked to order, medium, as the entire thing was gray-brown. I ordered two beverages and still have too much salt lingering from what I ate, even after I pushed it away and stopped trying to stomach the $29 burger. I ordered sans chips, paid the extra $13 for the asparagus. My partner is currently sick in the men's room as the chicken parmigiana did not settle with him. He also ordered the spaghetti side for $13. I helped him finish his food - the spaghetti was an absolute disappointment, even with its fancy name - and I can say we enjoyed the tomato sauce, but not the inedible burnt portion of what appeared to be gristle hanging off the side. The Bond drink was delicious. Maybe overpriced for regular bars, but this is Broadway, so it's right in line with theater pricing. We would order it again. I wanted to give this 2 stars, but I had to reduce it to one because I can't get over paying $153.xx w/tip for what amounted to an over salted, microwave burger and an Italian dish that came back up before we left. I'm really sorry about this review, but I'd rather pay $200+ in Jersey for a quality steakhouse than eat here again. My partner asked, "Would you rather eat McDonald's," and I was disappointed that yes, a McD's burger was better than what they served tonight. The ambiance is peaceful, the lighting was great, but we were three tables away from the bar and could follow along with the bartender's loud conversations word for word, "just got off maternity leave...I was born in Jersey but now I live in Queens...been here for 20 years now..." and we were reminded several times that we must be ready to leave by 5:30, we arrived at 4:15, and we've paid, lingered, wrote this review, and are now posting at leaving at 5:08pm. read more

Jj or Jr ughhh forgot his name was such an amazing server. I believe my server's name was JJ or Jr and he was wonderful. I had ordered two appetizers for lunch and that was enough food to last me through my double theater experience on Broadway. I was also thrilled to know the restaurant was part of the Fireman group. I always try to stop by Bond 45 when I'm in NYC, preferably after seeing a show :-) I have always had great service and the restaurant has a cozy feel. Have enjoyed this place for years, including when it was actually on 45th. The menu has changed a bit over the years but their selections are good + the varieties of pizza options. I do have a suggestion - it's unusual to not offer (complimentary) bread with pasta dishes. There's a garlic bread loaf available ($10) which is good but sometimes plain sliced Italian bread would be just perfect. The prices are about what you would expect for a restaurant in the middle of the Theater District. Recommend trying at least once! read more
