Back in the city, and looking forward to this experience. The Gluten Free Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza was just as I remembered. Pillowy crust, crunchy on all of the pan edges, stretchy cheese, soft layers of meat draped over the tomatoes, topped generously with my favorite peppery green. I had to order the olives again, too. Meaty colorful olives with subtle heat, fresh herbs, and an ever-so delicate orange essence from the tiny peel segments. Everything perfect. And I need to give props to Emiliano. He handled the mid afternoon (and growing) crowd with perfection. I loved his Italian pronunciation, his assisting other tables in their language, menu explanations, and offering side sauces and dessert. Bravo everybody.

Visited here for restaurant week and it did not disappoint. They were accommodating and made me a Caesar salad without anchovies and it was delicious. The crispy cheese on top added the perfect amount of texture and saltiness to the salad. I got the Hot Louie Sicilian without pepperoni and this was also delicious. Vodka sauce + fresh mozzarella + honey + cheesy crust. Our server was the older gentleman and he was the sweetest & happiest guy. Also loved the triangle like table my friends and I were seated at, brilliant table configuration for 3 people!

I had no idea that this restaurant has been open for about a year now, because I used to walk up and down this avenue when I lived in the area a couple years ago! It is apparently owned by the same people who own Friedmans, which is just a couple blocks away. Our server was named Ben, and he was nice and attentive. He helped us make sure that we had napkins to eat our pizza, and he also was really good about making sure that our waters were always full. I also just loved his energy in general. It's quite nice and cozy inside while also feeling pretty modern. There's two bathrooms, which are clean and spacious. I ordered the Hot Louie, which was good, but I do wish that I had even more hot honey drizzled on the pizza. My friend got a vodka pie, which was delicious. For dessert, both of us shared the chocolate lava cake, but note that it is gluten-free so it might not taste as molten as you're used to.

This place is such a gem -- great vibes and a great place if you're looking for gluten free options! We tried the Upside Down and Hot Louie, both on gluten free square crusts, and both were delicious. They were hot, crispy, flavorful, & great portion size. The owner of the restaurant was also super nice. He came out to greet us & we chatted about my being gluten free & he ended up topping up our wine glasses on the house! Definitely will be coming back here soon to try more of the menu.

Ambiance (5/5): There was plenty of seating both indoor and outdoors so we were seated immediately on a weekday. The inside is minimalistic but sleek, and has plenty of space between the diners. Booth seating along the walls and areas that can accommodate larger groups. Service (5/5): We were helped throughout the dining experience. Additional freshly grated cheese offered at the start of the meal! Hot Louie : The pizza was delicious (although something could be improved in the dough)! After we finished eating, we asked our server if he preferred the Sicilian vs the regular and he preferred the regular. Pro tip: you can also ask for the Hot Louie but cooked on normal pizza. Mafaldine Bolognese (5/5): I loved the pasta more than the pizza! It just had so much flavor and was generous on the meat portions. I would definitely recommend and come again to try their other dishes!

Went today for lunch and it was delicious. I had the rigatoni carbonara and I may dream about it. My friend enjoyed her soup and sandwich combo and my other friend enjoyed her pizza. Our waiter was nice and I enjoyed talking with him about Dog Day Afternoon.

First time! Was an all around great experience. The location is very quaint and clean. Our waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Made good recs including the fried mozz. Also ordered the hot louie and rigatoni vodka. Loved cheesy pizza crust. Large portion sizes full of flavor. Will definitely return.

Just a block away, Casa Louie has become a quick neighborhood favorite. Met my son for a nice lunch and an overdue chat. We went the Italian route (!): chicken parm for him and eggplant parm for me. Both were delicious, following that with espresso and a shared tiramisu! It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience and our waiter could not have been better. The music was even great!

Service was good food is normal NYC price Pizza was good but we didnt like the lemon taste... Fried Mozzarella can be skipped ... The coating is too thick seems like a store bought mozzarella stick. Without the lemony taste pizza was good! Just not used to the lemony flavor.

Casa Louie is a nice, casual Italian eatery. The food is very good but the service is excellent. We will bee back often!

Had to get Italian while in NYC. Pretty small menu, cozy seating, good spot for a date, pretty intimate ambiance. Great customer service from the staff. The peppers in the calamari app was a nice touch. The pasta was nicely cooked, the sauce was deep and rich and meaty

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.
