Bennet is great. I'm guessing he's one of the partners of that firm, and he's the one I always work with. He's prepared corporate 1120 and state tax returns for a few companies I've worked with, and he is friendly, knowledgable, and professional, always did excellent work, on-time and on-budget. I give them a low rating for not responding to my email requesting consulting services for my complicated tax issue. Its been a week since I emailed them using the email address on their web site, which I triple checked. This is nearly two months after the busy tax season so "too busy to respond" is not a good excuse. Their web site states "We pride ourselves on being very responsive...". Sorry, not in this case. My experience has been that how a business responds to your first email request reflects on the service you will eventually get. read more

I was referred to Tax Professional Associates back in 2005 after my tax accountant retired. Bennet took time to understand my business and goals. Prior to working with Bennet, I had originally started my business as an LLC (received from bad advice from the other guy) and Bennet properly pointed out the disadvantages of an LLC. He assisted me with my incorporation in 2006 and subsequent Sub-Chapter S designation. Having such a smooth and trouble-free experience, I asked him for help with incorporation and Sub-Chapter S designation for my second company in 2008. I was introduced to Shay back in 2011 when the firm moved to their location on Oakmead Parkway--a much better location than their old El Camino Real location. I found Shay to be very knowledgeable and like Bennet was quick to understand my business as well as point out changes in tax law applicable to my circumstances. Needless to say, they have also done my personal taxes for the past eight years. Over this span of time, I've recommended Bennet and Shay to a number of friends, colleagues and business acquaintances. I moved my business from Milpitas to San Leandro and my only complaint is of my own making--the drive from the East Bay to Sunnyvale with traffic is something I don't enjoy. He was in my local area and it was really easy to set an appointment with him. I went in and he ended up helping me untangle other messiness in my Scorp in addition to the bookkeeping.
