We found Tax Plus on Yelp after having doubts about the quality of H&R Block's work. Larry Wurzel from Tax Plus spent a ton of time with us and carefully redid our H&R Block return after discovering a number of mistakes. I've had my taxes done by Tax Plus for quite a few years now and won't be going back to them. The last 2 times I had my taxes done there (2014 & 2016), they made the Same Mistake of not crediting me for the income tax that I had voluntarily deducted from my Social Security check every month! This mistake requires an amendment to be filed and an additional 6 weeks or so to receive your refund! The last time I went there on 3/24/17 for 2016 taxes, I waited about an extra month to get an appointment with Tony. Even after waiting the extra month to see Tony, I ended up having my taxes done by someone else (John, this is common practice from my past experience)! Tony walked past John's office a few times while my axes were being done and waved a few times, but that was about it. Never even got a chance to go into Tony's office for a quick review (which has usually happened in the past)! But even after having my taxes done by someone else besides Tony every year, and even after Tony reviewed what other workers had done, there was still the mistake of not crediting me for my Social Security deductions! So once again for the 2016 taxes, they neglected to credit me for my voluntary deductions from Social Security, causing me another 6 week delay in receiving my refund! I would forgive the same mistake being made once, but Not Twice!! Simple mistakes like this should not even happen once, let alone repeatedly! Went to Pronto Income Tax and had my 2015 taxes done and they did a great job and it cost $100. less - with No Mistakes! I thought I'd try Tax Plus again for 2016 taxes thinking that the mistake they made for my 2014 taxes was just a fluke! Then the same basic mistake happens again for my 2016 taxes! Will gladly be going back to Pronto Income Tax this year and probably from now on. So Tax Plus - please stop sending me emails to make an appointment again for this year. Not sure how Tax Plus has good reviews on Yelp because that has not been my personal experience. Not a good experience with Tax Plus, I would recommend going somewhere else! read more

Without embarrassing myself too much I'll just say that I had a lot of back taxes to catch up on, and I was expecting a painful experience. Instead, Tony was friendly and easy to deal with.
