They allowed us time to decide if it was worth fixing and were creative about getting the costs to something more affordable but ultimately I agreed to have all but one item fixed. Their willingness to work with me on it really sealed the deal. I never felt pressured one way or the other and researched the prices of each repair item and they were market value. I really appreciated that I wasn't given grief for wanting to fix this old beauty instead of calling it quits and also appreciated their confidence in doing this amount of work to make it like new. Most importantly, the repairs were done right without gimmick and they're under warranty! This Christian Brothers Automotive is thorough and the final cost was reasonable compared to the quote (slight increase from what looks like parts being a tad more than anticipated). The initial inspection was awesome too, they have pictures for everything and tell you what's good, not just bad. The whole process was really smooth and simple compared to how big of a decision the repairs really were. Very professional and quick. I'm very thankful and will come back/recommend to others.

Their diagnosis was that the front differential needed to be replaced at a cost of $3300.00. I wanted to get a second opinion so I contacted Greg's Auto in Parker, transmission work is one of the few items they do not work on but they referred me to Kimmer Transmission. I took my truck in to Kimmer for a diagnosis. I was informed when I scheduled the appointment that I would need to leave my vehicle for a couple of days due to their volume of work already scheduled. When I arrived and walked through the shop to the office I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, the organization of the mechanics work areas and the amount of vehicles they had in line. This immediately showed me the attention to detail the owner requires, which typically translates to the work ethic of the mechanics as well. I was informed that the issue with my truck was not the differential but the transfer case, and that the front differential was in good working order. I authorized the work for my vehicle with Kimmer. It did take a few days to complete but that was due to a delay in the parts needed for my repair work. If not for that delay I would have gotten my vehicle back in a couple of days. The final cost for the parts and labor was $2300.00. I am guessing if I would have gone with the original shop they would have charged me for the differential and the transfer case. I HIGHLY recommend Kimmer Transmission and Gear for al of your transmission work. They are professional, honest, and fair with their pricing. All very important items for vehicle maintenance work.

Claimed they…read moreidentified the issue with my oil pressure gauge that was fluctuating and also a slow oil leak they supposedly fixed. $1200 later, the oil pressure gauge in my truck was still fluctuating and oil is still leaking. Nothing was actually fixed. Went in a week later to talk with them about the persistent issues and how they weren't resolved, asking them if I had to pay for another diagnostics test (since I just had one done with them a week earlier) They couldn't give me a straight answer then he got defensive, and just started being rude. Horrible customer service and transparency. Do yourself and your wallet a favor a go elsewhere.

Avoid Aspen Auto! my car stopped shifting out of low gear…read moreand Aspen Auto was the closest mechanic from where I was. They charged me $350 for a diagnostic, I wasn't told that the price of which did not go toward the repair. Then gave the car a transmission service ($453.25) that didn't fix the transmission. Then they said they believed the alternator was the problem, that they wanted $587 to fix. That, incidentally, wasn't caught by the disgnostic. The manager when questioned about the repair was rude, argumentative, and condescending. I then took it to my regular mechanic, Autoworks in Aurora, who gave me a free disgnostic after I told them the problems I had at Aspen Auto. In all transparency, I must clarify that their regular diagnostic is usually $160 dollars which does go toward the repair. They said the failing alternator interferes with the transmission control unit, and should have been checked first. Their charge for an alternator and installation was $440. $147 cheaper than Aspen Auto.

They paid for my Uber ride shares in both directions; both after I dropped off my car to be worked on and when I needed to pick it up after the repairs were done (I don't live near by either). They owners are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Elite worked with my Lexus warranty company to take care of items that the Lexus dealers have constantly declined doing or missed repairs needed because they do not make enough in WARRANTY hourly labor costs to "find" the repairs that need fixing. It's shameful. I had previously brought my car into THREE different Lexus dealerships and asked them to inspect the car and use my warranty to cover the charges. Each time they said, "we can't seem to duplicate what you are bringing it in for". I sincerely appreciate the Elite team taking care of all the repairs and by working WITH my warranty company to cover as much as possible. I will say that their hourly labor rates are definitely higher than most of the auto repair shops but in the end you get what you pay for. How many hours and days I had wasted going to and from the dealer only to be sent home without the repairs. While I do love saving money, I also value saving time and I will be bringing my Lexus to Elite from now on.

I brought it to Elite and they have the system to hook it up to the BMW machine and discovered immediately what was wrong and fixed it for free. It was just a loose wire. They are very knowledgeable, very nice and I feel like they are very honest. They don't try to upsell you like Christian Brothers does. I had my car at Elite a couple of days ago for new brakes and an oil change. Drop my car off the night before. Got a email with pictures and a full inspection the next morning called and spoke with Ashley who is new there since the last time I had my car in. She was so nice! We talked about all of the items on the inspection and what needed to be done right away and what I could wait on. If their prices are a little bit higher, my response is that you get what you pay for. This team is honest and extremely knowledgeable. Every single experience I have had with them over the last few years has been great. I highly recommend!!!

Work was done on the transfer case of my truck before I bought it. It kept triggering error codes…read morestating "service four wheel drive". Kimmer tried to clear the codes before I bought the truck and agreed with the seller to transfer the warranty work over to the new owner because the service was done to the truck specifically to sell the car. When the error code got thrown again I called kimmer transmission to schedule an appointment to have them check it out since I was driving down from boulder 50 miles away. I arrived 15 minutes early and was the first customer in the door that day. Kimmer asked for my keys then asked if I had a ride since they may not even get to it that day. This was a surprise, since when I scheduled the appointment, I specifically stated that I was supposed to be leaving for Wisconsin that day and wanted to try and take care of this issue before doing so. I said I did not have a ride but had no problem waiting. Kimmer tried suggesting a nearby restaurant but I told them I already had breakfast. They tried to get me to go the shop next door because "it was more comfortable" but I said I was fine working on my phone in their waiting area. After seeing they weren't going to get rid of me they reluctantly ran a scan tool on the truck, which takes about 2 minutes, also which I had already had done in boulder to try to save myself the trip. Kimmer came back and told me that the car cannot communicate with the part THAT THEY INSTALLED!!! WHICH IS EXACTLY THE REASON I DROVE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO HAVE THEM FIGURE OUT WHY! It was clear that kimmer was not going to make any effort whatsoever to resolve the issue. Never even put it on a lift to look. It is apparent that they have little to no follow up service on jobs that they clearly did not do correctly in the first place. I would not recommend kimmer transmission and gear to anyone looking for any transmission/drive train work. The only thing nice about the shop was the shop dog.
